  • How to download HP Wireless Hotspot software

What is link to downlaod HP Wireless Hotspot software?

    Hi surrendernot,
It is possible that either a) you were using different scanning software other than HP software for scanning, or b) the HP software is different on Windows 7, than on Windows XP, as they are completely different Operating Systems, and could be a newer version of the software.
Some other methods of scanning can be found within this How to Scan guide, HP Multifunction Printers - How to Scan: Windows 7, you can try scanning without HP software as well.
    Hope this answers your question!

  • Running a Mac OS X-based internet café or wireless hotspots?

I am interested to know if anyone has any experience running an automated billing system for an internet café and/or wireless hotspots using elegant OS X software.
If someone could share their experience or point me in the direction of software or other websites, I would be very appreciative (and I'm sure there are others out there wanting to know this too).
    Many thanks,
    Galen
P.S. I'm also posting this question in the Tiger networking forum as I'm not sure which place is more relevant (http://discussions.apple.com/forum.jspa?forumID=755)

Hi, are these a particular brand of cameras that require this?

The only people who can possibly assist you with this is Apple Customer Relations, call your local Apple contact number and ask for Customer Relations then explain your situation clearly and politely (be firm but don't rant).
You might want to investiage what the local laws are regarding defective goods and 'fit for use' definitions on warranties etc. Consumer Protection can be a useful tool to use or bargain with if needed ...

  • Disabling LaserJet 100 color MFP M175nw as a wireless hotspot

    Hello
Bought HP LaserJet 100 color MFP M175nw.
It announces ( broadcasts) its wireless network HP-Print-74-LaserJet100.
Which interferes with my other wireless network, and makes quality of signal lower.
Is it possible to disable wireless hotspot feature on the printer?
Wifi is disabled in setup (printer is connected by ethernet).
    Thank you in advance

    Hi rghw
I will be happy to help you.
To disable the wireless direct you can also do it right on the printer by going to the setup button (wrench) on the printer, right arrow to network setup menu, wireless menu, wireless direct, turn it off from there.
The web server is to access the network page for the printer.
To access the web server page, print out a configuration report from the printer by going  to the setup button (wrench) on the printer, right arrow to reports, config report to get the ip address for the printer.
You type in the ip address for the printer in the address of bar of internet explorer to bring up the embedded web server for the printer.
If you need more assistance just let me know.

  • Smartform as Button in Hotspot Question - Captivate 8

If I add a Smartform as Button to an Hotspot Question, the Button seems to have no function.
The Button is not in the Hotspotarea, it is outside.
I created several Buttons with different actions attached to it but nothing works.

Shape buttons can be used on most question slides, but not on Hotspot Questions. My suspicion is that because Hotspot needs clicks in places, that the whole slide is reserved for possible clickable hotspots. And because Question slide objects are always on top of any other object, the shape button can not function. Even if you limit clicks only on Hotspots. Sorry, nothing for question slides has changed in CP8, was the same in CP7.

  • Hi All! I have an iphone 4s. I want to buy an ipad but torn between wifi or wifi cellular. Can I use for sure, my iphone 4s as the wireless hotspot for my ipad if I get the ipad wifi only? And if yes, is the signal/connection good? Thank you.

Hi all! I have an iphone 4s. I want to buy an ipad but I'm torn between wifi or wifi+cellular because of the price difference. Can I really use my iphone 4s as the wireless hotspot for my ipad? If yes, is the signal good and fast? Thank you for your response.

    Yes you can if:
1: Your cellular provider offers a data tethering option.
2: You have subscribed to this option.
Speed will be as it is with your existing iPhone.

  • Overage Charge on 4GLTE Wireless Hotspot

I've incurred dditional overage charges on my wireless hotspot from time to time, but I'm noticing being charged for GB that I didn't use. Last month I used 10.944GB then turned off the wifi.  But my bill has charged me as though I went over 2GB.  Is this happening to anyone else.   What's up with this?

I have the same problem. I monitor my data usage almost every day, either via the web site or the iPhone app. I keep a spreadsheet so as to not go over my limit. Firstly, I did not get a 90% usage alert like I was set up to get. Also, I have a 14 GB plan. According to the iPhone app's usage total, my daily cumulative GB usage from 2/01-09 was:
    7.902
    8.257
    10.742
    12.702
    13.133
    13.426
    13.670
    13.779
    13.787
    13.808
The last two were on 2/09, the last day of my billing cycle. The last value, 13.808 was as of 2122 on 2/09. Imagine my horror to find out the next day that they showed that I'd used  a total of 15.533 GB!!! And yet, their video on overages suggests that we closely monitor our usage using their web site or the app!

  • Wireless Hotspot

I have seen on the web that the phone can be turned in to a wireless hotspot but I can not find how to do it on the phone.
Does any one know it if can be done and what I need to do to make it a wireless hotspot.
    Am using a 9380 with 7.0 bundle2220 (v7.0.0.513, platform 9.32.0.51) software.

    Hello nolan87,
    Welcome to the forums.
If the BlackBerry® smartphone that you are using is the BlackBerry® Curve™ 9380 smartphone then it does not have 3G Hotspot Support. This device cannot be used as a wireless hotspot.
Hope this helps. Have a good day.

  • Wireless hotspot vs. wireless printing

I have a new sprint wireless hotspot as my only internet access at home.  I have been printing with an HP printer wirelessly via airport.  I cannot print while online because the computer only recognizes one wireless network at a time.  Do I need a router?  If so, how do I connect the hotspot and the printer to the same router if they are at opposite ends of the house?

    Hello

  • Connecting from WRT54GL to Verizon MIFI2200 wireless hotspot

I have my WRT54GL connected to my desktop and I have been using satellite internet. I can connect via wireless from my laptop. I now want to get rid of the satellite and use a Verizon MIFI2200 wireless hotspot. So, I want to connect wireless from my desktop to the MIFI2200. I do not seem to have anything on my desktop which will allow me to see wireless networks. The MIFI2200 is working because I can connect from my laptop. The desktop with the WRT54GL is also working, because I can connect to it from my laptop. What do I need to run on the desktop to see available wireless networks? I don't seem to have anything available like Linksys Wireless Manager.
    Thanks!

You need a wireless adapter for your desktop to connect to wireless networks.

When connecting Apple devices to your iPhones wireless hotspot do those devices stop background data processes to conserve data?
In other words if you have a limited data plan on your iPhone will your other Apple devices such as an iPad automatically cease background data transfers to conserve data usage?

Nice trick to connect your Apple Devices to your wireless network.
Will help the users if they are facing the problem with the apple devices.

  • Solved. Travel router WTR54GS sharing one wireless hotspot connection with multiple devices

Hi, Passing on info I've learned.
The manual for the WTR54GS mentions being able to "...use multiple devices on a single hotspot account in a coffee shop or airport lounge...". See my original posting, "How to set up a wireless private bubble at paid hotspot? WTR54GS?", which ended in a dead end. I subsequently had a Linksys live chat session and the representative provided the solution. Perhaps worthy to be included in the Wireless FAQ?
Situation: you have access to a paid hotspot (hotel room, meeting room, etc.) and you want to share the connection with several devices, also wirelessly.
Solution: the WTR54GS can accept an incoming Internet connection wirelessely and re-broadcast that connection to form your own private bubble or network. (Note the WTR54GS can also accept an incoming Internet connection via Ethernet cable).
Linksys Live Chat pointed me to these web pages.
Go to the Linksys Easy Answers page: For a schematic of the concept of "associating the travel router to a hotspot (wirelessly)" search for Easy Answer ID# 4831
    URL for above is http://linksys.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/linksys.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=4831&p_created=1167963305&p_sid=GmLnq3Zi&p_accessibility=0&p_lva=&p_sp=cF9zcmNoPTEmcF9zb3J0X2J5PSZwX2dyaWRzb3J0PSZwX3Jvd19jbnQ9NjImcF9wcm9kcz0wJnBfY2F0cz0xNzIxLDE3MjMmcF9wdj0mcF9jdj0yLjE3MjMmcF9zY2ZfbGFuZz0xJnBfcGFnZT0xJnBfc2VhcmNoX3RleHQ9V1RSNTRHUw**&p_li=&p_topview=1
There is a "configuration simulator" that shows the options for selecting a wired or wireless incoming Internet Type.
    http://linksys.com/ui/files/WTR54GS/1.0_15/Setup-Wireless.htm
The hotspot has to be "open", that is transmitting an SSID and with no WEP or WPA key. It may have a log-in page accessible via a web browser, this is okay as this will be passed onto the connected device.
My personal application is to be able to connect a PDA that has a 801.2b wifi to a 801.2g wireless network. I haven't tried it but if this works, it will extend the useful life of my PDA in a "g" environment. Will report back once I find a "g" only environment. Comments?

Dang, the long URL is making for a really wide message. Is there a fix?

There are two conditions which must be met in order to use your WTR54GS to "extend" an incoming, wireless internet connection:
    The incoming connection must be unsecured.  You have already covered this point;
The security settings on your WTR54GS can only be set to "WEP," or to "Disabled."  If you choose "WEP," then you can use either a 40/64-bit, or a 128-bit key.
If those two conditions have been met, then it works fine -- says the guy who is sharing one paid internet conneciton in his hotel amongst three devices, and with co-workers in nearby rooms.

  • HP Officejet 6310 all-in-one wireless option questions

I have a HP Officejet 6300 All-in-One printer and I was using it with my wire network connection. I just moved to a new home, which I rent, and I do not want to make new wholes to past the cables then this is my question:
"I have a Cisco Linksys AE1000 high performance wireless-N usb adpater (dual band)" and I saw this product Female USB A to Male Ethernet RJ45 Plug Adapter (on Amazon that I think will be great if I can use it). Can I connect them to make my printer wireless?"
    Please help.
    Thanks.
    BAK

Unfortunately that will not work for this printer. Wireless printing is set up through the printers software that you install on your computer. Since this printer is not a wireless printer, there will be no option to set it up wirelessly in the software, the only options will be ethernet or USB.
