Wireless Keyboard losing connection while BT headset in use

Hi,
I got a Samsung SBH500 Stereo Headset, and when I'm listening to music and using my Apple Wireless Keyboard and Apple Mighty Mouse, the keyboard keep losing connections.
Already tried to trash the preference file, change the Favorite status of everything, but the problem goes on and on.
While writing this post the connection was lost twice, and it's becoming frustrating...
Help, please.

I decide to run some test.
1) Wireless Keyboard + Wireless Headset + Wired Mouse works fine.
2) Wireless Mouse + Wireless Headset + Internal Keyboard works fine.
3) This is obvious, but to said i tried: Wireless Keyboard + Wireless Mouse works fine.
So here's what I'm thinking...
A software/firmware problem with the Macs bluetooth or the headset uses way too much data so 3 devices is too much. I don't think is too much data, because if it wore probably would disconnect the devices randomly, not only the keyboard.

  • Wireless Keyboard losing connection - Mouse acting funky

I keep getting a "connection lost" message and then have to "wake up" the keyboard. I just changed the batteries in both the wireless mighty mouse & wireless keyboard. The mouse keeps getting very "choppy" and unresponsive, then straightens out after a few minutes. Also lots of keyrepeats. The problem has been here for a while but seems to be getting worse. All software & firmware is up to date. When I turn on the keyboard the light only stays on for a few seconds then goes out.

There should be four tiny wires with round connectors, each labelled "1" "2" "3" and "BT". 1-3 are for the Airport card and BT is for Bluetooth.
Try these pics to help you to identify the cable and the bluetooth module:

  • Wireless keyboard wont connect to Macbook Pro...

Hello everyone, I've found myself in a little bit of a situation today. I have an early 2011 Macbook Pro, the keyboard does not work due to water damage, and i've been using a wireless keyboard for a while now. I had to restart my laptop for an update and when the laptop turned on the wireless keyboard would not connect to the bluetooth, which now means I can no longer sign in my account.
is there a way i can fix this problem?

Iphone/ipad supportes bluetooth for stereo speakers/headsets, handsfree telephone devices/headsets, some keyboards, some peer to peer apps, and internet tethering if provided by the carrier.
Otehr than these it will not connect to a phone/computer/device

  • TS3048 wireless keyboard will connect but pairing is unsuccessful

My brand new wireless keyboard will connect but pairing is unsuccessful. OS X version 10.6.8. Any ideas of what the problem is?

I'm a bit confused, the keyboard must be first paired in order to connect.  What do you see when you use System Preferences > Bluetooth > click the "+" icon to add a device.

  • Apple Wireless Keyboard lost connection when "command+space" is pressed

Hi, my apple wireless keyboard lost connection when command and space key was pressed. it does not lost connection when other keys combination was pressed. Are there any people has the same problem with me?
I am using Emacs all the time, the command and space key is the default short cut for Mark in Emacs. It is constantly used in my daily work. The wireless keyboard does not lost connection always, but it does lost connection sometimes. I have observed every time it lost connection, the command + space was pressed. Really strange. Any advice?
I am using Macbook Pro 13inch Late 2012,  OSX 10.9.1, and Apple Wireless Keyboard

Got the keyboard working again, here how incase it can help anyone else:
I borrowed a USB keyboard to allow me to get past the pasword login.
First I rang disk utitlity to repair any permissions. I opended up the app 'Bluetooth Setup Assistant' selected 'Keyboard' then I turned the keyboard 'on' so the green light is flashing' and then hit continue. At this point the keyboard appears in the listing of found items, hitting continue I am then given a unique pairing code. Enter this on the keyboard and hit 'Return' after a few seconds, the pairing is complete and by wireless keyboard is back and working again!

Tried deleting device and re-connecting, but keyboard is never seen by the Mac. Also tried same keyboard with a Macbook Air and keyboard was not recognized. other bluetooth device (mouse) works fine. Ideas?

For now, try a SMC reset.

  • Apple Bluetooth Wireless Keyboard not Connecting to iPad

Hey, I try to connect my Apple Bluetooth Wireless Keyboard is not connecting to my iPad. I tap Bluetooth "On" and it searches for devices. Then I slide the switch on the back of my keyboard to the green light and the iPad picks it up and says "Not Paired." So I tap the keyboard and it just spins and spins and spins until the keyboard times out and powers off. Then it disappears and my iPad can't find any devices. I repeated the process several times and I got the same result.
    Any help would be appreciated!
    Thanks

I had a very similar problem, with a new model wireless keyboard. The set-up is not very intuitive (and the instructions for both the iPad and the keyboard are not particularly helpful). Here's how I got it to work:
    1. If the keyboard has already been paired with another object -- e.g., I was testing out my iMac keyboard -- you should be completely out of range of that other object (more than 30 feet away).
    2. Make sure Bluetooth on the iPad is disabled.
    3. The keyboard should not be "on" -- i.e., no solid green light.
    4. Press and hold the power button on the keyboard until you get a blinking green light. This should take just a few seconds.
    5. Turn on Bluetooth on the iPad.
    6. At this point, it should detect the keyboard and instruct you to enter a combination of keys to pair the two devices.
I found that you have to follow this sequence or it won't work. For example, if you have Bluetooth on on the iPad before holding the power button on the keyboard, it won't work.
    I hope that helps.

  • Wireless Keyboard Looses Connection

I have a new Mac Mini with a wireless keyboard and wireless mighty mouse. During use the mighty mouse is fine, but the keyboard seems to loose the bluetooth connection over time, always about the same amount of time. I realize this is probably a power saving mode due to inactivity. If I turn off the keyboard and turn it back on, the Mini finds it and its fine. Is there any way I can set it to just always leave the keyboard on and connected? I wouldn't mind less battery life, it's just annoying to keep having to reconnect it.

I didn't install the included cd since the Mini found the keyboard automatically. Installing this disc solved the problem.

  • Wireless keyboard not connecting

My wireless keyboard has suddenly stopped working, I've changed the batteries and it continues to not be discoverable via bluetooth.  How do I reconnect it?

Open Bluetooth Setup Assistant and while that's searching for Devices turn the keyboard off and on (repeat) to re-pair it.

  • Wireless keyboard cannot connect

I've got two wireless keyboards, one US, one French.
Since I tried a reinstall of OS X ( cmd-R at startup, but then the link between the french keyboard and the Mac got lost, and I couldn't enter my password), the french keyboard is randomly seen in the Bluetooth set-up screen and connect allways faits)
US kbd works fine, on my iPad the french  keyboard works OK.
    What is wrong ?

This has been solved now. I stopped the french kbd from being recognised by the iPad ( which was not that close to my Mac as it appeared to be connected ).
But not sure it was the issue.

  • MAGIC MOUSE & WIRELESS KEYBOARD - LOST CONNECTION

    Hi guys,
I get confused why the mouse and the wireless keyboard lost it's connection from time to time. I cannot explain it and I don't know what to do except wait for it to reconnect. It's kinda annoying. Is this an issue with the software or something?
    many thanks

This disconnection problem seems to be a major problem with anything Apple! I have had this problem for months now, as have others and have tried everything that has been suggested in this Forum, all to no avail.
On the assumption that may be, just may be, someone from Apple will read the myriad of problems associated with the constant disconnection of wireless products produced by/for them, they will get it sorted. But it has been going on for years it seems to me, and still there is no tangible work around or permanent fix.
I am reaching the stage where I will be throwing my MM out the window soon along with any of the other wireless connected items I have. (Keyboard, Number Pad, MM and Track Pad.) There just does not seem to be any answer that works permanently. Never ever had this problem when I used the Windows system and am getting a wee bit miffed that I changed from Windows to Apple. The most unreliable piece of kit ever to come out of a Computer Shop!!

  • Wireless keyboard losts connection with key combination "FN + Command + b".

    Can anyone help?
I'm wondering about the strange behavior of my Apple Aluminum Wireless Keyboard(A1255).
Whenever I pressed the key combination "FN + Command + b", bluetooth connection will be lost.
I sometimes press them by mistake, and I feel annoying.
    Is there any workarounds?
    Best regards,

Well, it works today. Problem solved. Thanks for looking.

  • Wireless keyboard – no connection

Bluetooth is working well on Powerbook G4. But the Apple wireless keyboard has lost connection and stays disconnected. It shows up in the list with its right name but gets no connection. Keyboard seems o.k. green light blinking, batteries o.k. Even if trying to connect it as a new device, that fails.
    Any ideas?

    Hello:
You could try a couple of things:
    1.  Reset PRAM
    2.  Reset SMC
    3.  Delete the keyboard, restart, and see if the setup assistant opens and begins the pairing.

  • Apple Wireless Keyboard not connecting

I started up my iMac this morning to notice that the keyboard was not connected, meaning I could not enter my password. The moment I started typing a dialogue would pop up to pair a wireless keyboard. Near the bottom it said "attempting to connect to Apple Wireless Keyboar #1" but after a few seconds it just said "no devices found. It just repeats this process over and over. I've replaced the batteries and tried resetting the keyboard but neither solved the problem... Is there any way to force pair? I don't have access to another keyboard and need to use my computer. Please help!

Sadly, I think you're stuck without a USB KB at this point.
