Wireless Keyboard shortcut question

I've bought a new iMac several weeks ago, and I can't find out how to write the following shortcut:
Thanks in advance!

That's "BacK" in Hungarian, correct?
That keyboard shortcut is already written, meaning it is already part of the standard suite of shortcuts.
If you mean how to enter it on the keyboard...
The  ⌘  character represents the Command key, the one immediately next to the Spacebar at both ends. Press and hold that key down while entering the  [  key once. The  [  character on the Hungarian keyboard layout is Option-8 so the full keyboard shortcut for "Back" would be Command-Option-8
The paired shortcut, Forward, using the Hungarian keyboard layout would be Command-Option-9

  • Wireless Keyboard Shortcut for Home Key

I have the wireless keyboard w/o the keypad which I use with my Mini.
On my MBP, the fn-Up Arrow key combination functions as the Home key on keyboards with the built-in keypad. This shortcut doesn't work on the wireless keyboard.
Do I have to define the shortcut in the SysPre/KB Shortcuts? Or is there something I need to turn on? Or...?
    TIA.

Well, it works today. Problem solved. Thanks for looking.

  • Apple Wireless Keyboard Shortcuts

For my birthday, I received the Apple Wireless Keyboard to work with my iPad. I started to use it, and it worked great! I looked online, and found out that certain shortcut keys work with the iPad (volume, brightness, and music controls). So, I tried them out and they didn't work! I'm really upset and want to know if their is anything that I can do. Is the keyboard defective, and should I return it and get another? Or is their some trick that I'm not realizing? Please Help!!

I just got the new wireless keyboard as well, and the *only* keys that work are the general alphabet keys, the 'eject' key for the ipad keyboard & the space bar. Absolutely NONE of the special hot keys work, not even one. Not impressed at all, you'd think for $90, it would be fully compatible.
Does nobody have any info/suggestions on how to get the general hotkeys working? Volume, brightness, music buttons, etc...
    Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller??

  • Terminal keyboard shortcut question

Hello. I'm asking this question on behalf of a tech who works in our school. He would like to know what the keyboard shortcut on a Mac is to take you to the end of a line or the beginning of a line. (Apparently on a pc it is the home and end keys but on the Mac that takes him back to the very start of to the very end.) Sorry if this is a silly question.
    Jenny

The standard keys to move to end of line is Ctrl-E.
Ctrl-A will take you to the beginning of the line
Other useful control characters include Ctrl-T (transpose two characters) and Ctrl-U (erase line)

  • Q10 Keyboard Shortcut Question/Suggestion

I've entered several keyboard shortcuts.  One of them is a person's name that I text regularly.  The keyboard shortcut works in the body of a text, but not in the address field.  Keyboard shortcuts should work in these fields also.  I repeatedly text this person and don't want to start typing their name everytime.  I want the three letter shortcut to automatically pull up the name.

The available keyboard shortcuts are also listed here in this forum, but that's not the user's question..

  • Another "edit in photoshop" and keyboard shortcut question

I have both PSCS6 32 bit and 64 bit installed on my computer (usual default installation). When I next installed LR4, it automatically picked PSCS6 64 bit as the default external editor without asking my preference.
I always use PSCS6 32 bit and not the 64 bit version.
While I can add the PSCS6 32 bit program as an "additional external editor" and access it from a right click contextual menu for editing an image from LR4, I cannot use the convenient Ctrl + E keyboard shortcut since that will always launch the unwanted PSCS6 64 bit program.
Is there a way to reestablish this keyboard shortcut convenience for my 32 bit program?
    Thanks in advance!

    Scott,
There is a registry hack you could try:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/multi/edit-photoshop-command-missing-photoshop.html
That's for making PS show up when it doesn't show up at all, but there's a place to add the path to the executable that you could modify to point to the 32-bit version. You might want to do a checkpoint for System Restore before you start.

  • Wireless Keyboard Mapping Question

I have one of the previous generation white (not aluminum) AWKs that I use with my MacBook Pro when I have it hooked up to an external display, and I was wondering if there was a way to map the some of the function keys (i.e. F7, F8, F9) to invoke the Play/Pause and Skip commands that they are mapped to on the Pro's keyboard. Mapping them in the PrefPane seems to make them work, but only application specifically when iTunes is open. Is there a way to do this such that the invoke the command across any app/in Finder like the ones on the laptop keyboard do?

  • Safari keyboard shortcuts questions

    1. Often when a page loads, one has to click somewhere on the page in order to use the arrow keys to scroll up or down. Why does this happen? Is there a keyboard alternative to clicking?
    2. When one wishes to type in a text field, one hits tab until the field is active and the cursor blinks there. Subsequent tabbing makes other fields on the page active. But is there a keyboard command to leave the text fields (aside from clicking) so that one can again scroll down using arrow keys or other commands? (I've found that Option-Tab, which activates buttons on the page accomplishes this, but only if there are buttons on the page.)

Clicking on a webpage makes it active.
    Keyboard shortcut alternative to clicking?
Safari: Browser Window and Menu Shortcuts
When tabbing through form fields on a webpage, it depends on how the HTML in the webpage was written. Some you can tab through, others you have to use your mouse to click so the insertion bar blinks, or you use your back and forward keys.

  • Bookmarks Keyboard Shortcut Question

    Hello all.
In Safari's bookmark menu, if you command-down arrow on a bookmark item it is opened in the same tab (or window). I'd like to change the behavior of this keyboard shortcut to make the bookmark open in a new tab.
I have tried to set this up in the keyboard section of the system preferences, using both the command-down arrow combination as well as several other completely different combinations, but it never takes.
If you command or right-click on a bookmark, the contextual menu shows options to either Open, Open in New Window or Open in New Tab, but they don't seem to have any keyboard shortcut associated with them (although presumably Open is command-down arrow).
I realize I can simply command-click and the link will open in a new tab, but I'm trying to avoid using the mouse.
Apologies if this is covered somewhere already - I tried google and then I came here and didn't find anything other than the standard method of changing keyboard shortcuts. So if anyone can help or point me to a solution (if there is one) it would be hugely appreciated.

    yeah... <enter>+H.
no seriously, what kind of shortcut is that... what's it supposed to do? how can you really improve much on a two key shortcut.
    any more details for us?

Cmd_+T turns it on, I put in my text, and then want to get to the Selection tool or preview the audio. I wind up with a lot of extra "v's" and ".'s" on my screens.

  • Keyboard shortcut question

When I type alt+2 to get @, I get this ™ sign instead. What can I do with this? Is it something with the programming or is it something I can do to change it?
    Thanks, Martin

I tried that, but then this " sign comes. I did alt+2 on my girlfriends white macbook and there the @ came.
I just found where the @ is now, on the button with * on. Is this something I can change or is the keyboard set up in that in way on this mac?
    Thanks

  • Missing Live fonts + keyboard shortcut question

    Hi,
looking at the mew features pdf at LT I find it mentioning these Live fonts under "collector's edition":
Itchy, Tap and under "Pro" series: Hand, Gutter and Buck. None of these are installed on my system ?
Also a question about key commands, which I found no list in manual
isn't there a key command to place the playhead at the beginning ? is the only way to do this really by dragging it manually ? this is very clumsy and I just can't believe that it is that way.,..must have overlooked something.
    Thanks

    Hi Bony,
I think you're right in this ..I did get a totally new package of FCE 4. It's pretty lame for Apple as the manual that comes with the program states that these fonts are included

  • Help with the Palm WIreless Keyboard

Hello all,  I have a Palm Tungsten E2 device with the universal wireless keyboard.  I am familiar with most of the functions of the keyboard however there is one thing I have found elusive to this point.  I'll do my best to describe the issue in detail so here goes.
My problem occurs when I open the calendar using the wireless keyboard shortcut (Fn + 4). I press the sequence and my palm pilot opens the calendar to the default "agenda" view, which is fine, but from there I want to navigate to the "daily", "weekly" or "monthly" view quickley (without using the stylus). I know to reach "daily" I press (start + enter) in the "agenda" view which highlights the first scheduled task for that particular day then pressing (start + enter) again opens the "daily" view.  From there I can enter appointments as I see fit. But, what I want to do is navigate directly from "agenda" to "monthly" or "weekly".  Is there a way to do this with a shortcut key combination? Also,  I don't want to change the pilots default calendar setting from agenda to monthly.
Hopefully this makes sense,  please let me know if there is a way to do this, also, if more information is required please post and I will respond.
    Thanks,
    CKF
    Post relates to: Tungsten E2

For Vista that version will not let you install programs. Good news though is we have a version you can. Go here, http://www.palm.com/us/support/downloads/windesk62.html and install this on top of the version you already have. There is going to be a few changes on the desktop, there is no quick install, but the install tool.
Once you have that done just double click on keyboard and it will ask you your hotsync name and sync and your done.
Oh as a side note the check if this is your solution is only if the answer solves your original question.

  • How do I set shortcuts on my new onn wireless keyboard for volume control?

    Replacement Keyboard
Volume control issue with a non- Apple Keyboard
    [Sunday - July 29, 2012 - 2:18pm]
Question:     I just purchased a new keyboard in place of the orginal for my iMac which gave out this morning. The brand name of the keyboard is
ONN & it's a wireless board. I've encountered an issue that is a deal breaker - if there is no possible way to correct it. The volume control buttons used to
increase/decrease/mute the volume do not work on this product. I bough this keyboard because it was one of the two that was Mac compatable at my
local store. I realize you get what you pay for but hope there is a soulution!
**Sidenote: I was curious, anyone had any other issues with these keyboards?
    Some additional information:
When I woke up this morning, sat down in my computer chair, turned on my iMac and pulled up Textedit. I placed my hands on my faithful keyboard and within moments I realized that it had met it's end. I was quite upset that my original, sleek white iMac keyboard was now a thng of the past but realized that I'd need a replacement very soon in order to get my paperwork done.
Unfortunately, I did not have time to ride forty-five minutes to my local Apple store and I didn't neccesarily want to hand over the cash for one of the pricey keyboards at the time because I am going on a vacation within the next few weeks and each dime counts. So, I decided to visit a store that obviously would have the cheapeast deals in the meantime. So, I headed to to Wal-Mart to make a quick purchase
As I walked the aisles it soon became evident that today's market still is not on point when it comes to having Apple compatable hardware, softwore or anything for that matter. As I quickly skimmed the keyboards I ran across several that caught my eye, but of course, they were all made specifically for Windows. So, finally I approcahed two keyboards that were Mac compatible. The first was way too large and came with a mouse, which I did not need. The second caught my eye and I knew that this would be my purchase.:::
The verdict: an onn wireless keyboard that was both affordable and also gave off a sleek and modern apperance. (Retailed: $24.00)
So, I got home and began using the board. For the first how I was actuallly very satisfied. I like the buttons and the feel of the board. Then, I encountered a problem that made my interested for the new keyboard vanish.
The Issue:  On the boards layout, the (F2) key has a symbol that notates the decrease volume control button, (F3) of course would be the increase volume button & lastly the (F4) button represents the [mute] button.
However, these buttons don't work. Sadly, I am not aware of how I could possibly change this issue or if it would even be possible. I sincerely hope that it's possible - because I like the convience of the volume control keys - they were actually my favorite part of the keyboard. Manually changing the volume by going through system preferences does not sound fun to me once so ever. I guess you could call me spoiled but I don't think I can even keep this board if it doesn't have the ability to change volume/mute via the keyboard.
This is a shame because the keyboard it'self isn't bad at all and I actually somewhat like it. So, if you have any information or an answer to this question - I'd truly appreciate hearing your responses! Also, do keep in mind I am a rookie when it comes to computers as a whole so try to simplicate things for me if that is nessecary.
Closing negative note on this keyboard: As I typed this I started encountering a very annoying problem. As I am typing in a line, forming a sentence the keyboard would randomly start typing in pargraphs above and below as well. I'm not sure if this is something that I caused by pressing too hard with my hands or if this is a deffect. Either way, I will saving my receipt and the boxing for this product until I hear further news.
I hope to hear from you soon and I appreciate your help very much.
    Have a great day,
    David Travis Center

  • New apple wireless keyboard & iPad 3 pairing question

Bought a new Apple wireless keyboard this week. Had some trouble pairing with iPad 3. Took me 4-5 attempts but it finally paired successfully after 10-15 minutes. Question for all you gurus...  When the wireless keyboard arrived on Friday, I first paired it with my MacBook Pro. Could that have caused issues when I re-paired the wireless keyboard (today) with my iPad 3. And further, this will sound like a silly question, can the wireless keyboard be paired with two devices? I don't mean simultaneously. Does it screw up any settings to use the key board with separate devices/computers? Wondering -- if I keep my wireless keyboard at my office -- can I go to work with either my MBP or my iPad and simply use this one wireless keyboard? Or should each device have its own dedicated wireless keyboard? That seems redundant but I kind of love this keyboard already and would be willing to buy a second, if need be. Obviously, I don't want to spend extra money if it isn't necessary. Am I going to have to re-pair the keyboard and device each time I switch between the iPad and the MBP? Thanks all. You are always helpful and I appreciate it.

Thanks for the quick reply Skydiver! So...I really should buy a second wireless keyboard so that I don't have to go through the hassle of re-pairing the keyboard when i switch devices, yes? Yes, I believe I've answered my own question as I now sit here with my MBP attempting to pair it to the keyboard. Oy. Taking forever. I don't mind buying a second -- for $69, it seems to be the most efficient thing to do. Now I just need to figure out a way to designate which wireless keyboard goes with which device. Time to buy a little sticker! Thanks again.
