  • Apple Wireless Keyboard lost connection when "command+space" is pressed

Hi, my apple wireless keyboard lost connection when command and space key was pressed. it does not lost connection when other keys combination was pressed. Are there any people has the same problem with me?
I am using Emacs all the time, the command and space key is the default short cut for Mark in Emacs. It is constantly used in my daily work. The wireless keyboard does not lost connection always, but it does lost connection sometimes. I have observed every time it lost connection, the command + space was pressed. Really strange. Any advice?
I am using Macbook Pro 13inch Late 2012,  OSX 10.9.1, and Apple Wireless Keyboard

Got the keyboard working again, here how incase it can help anyone else:
I borrowed a USB keyboard to allow me to get past the pasword login.
First I rang disk utitlity to repair any permissions. I opended up the app 'Bluetooth Setup Assistant' selected 'Keyboard' then I turned the keyboard 'on' so the green light is flashing' and then hit continue. At this point the keyboard appears in the listing of found items, hitting continue I am then given a unique pairing code. Enter this on the keyboard and hit 'Return' after a few seconds, the pairing is complete and by wireless keyboard is back and working again!

  • MAGIC MOUSE & WIRELESS KEYBOARD - LOST CONNECTION

    Hi guys,
I get confused why the mouse and the wireless keyboard lost it's connection from time to time. I cannot explain it and I don't know what to do except wait for it to reconnect. It's kinda annoying. Is this an issue with the software or something?
    many thanks

This disconnection problem seems to be a major problem with anything Apple! I have had this problem for months now, as have others and have tried everything that has been suggested in this Forum, all to no avail.
On the assumption that may be, just may be, someone from Apple will read the myriad of problems associated with the constant disconnection of wireless products produced by/for them, they will get it sorted. But it has been going on for years it seems to me, and still there is no tangible work around or permanent fix.
I am reaching the stage where I will be throwing my MM out the window soon along with any of the other wireless connected items I have. (Keyboard, Number Pad, MM and Track Pad.) There just does not seem to be any answer that works permanently. Never ever had this problem when I used the Windows system and am getting a wee bit miffed that I changed from Windows to Apple. The most unreliable piece of kit ever to come out of a Computer Shop!!

  • Wireless mouse not connecting

I lost my wireless mouse connection. I replaced batteries, to no effect. Any suggestions?

After toggling all my settings in Bluetooth I finally did the most obvious thing of all -- checked that the mouse batteries were not reversed, which they were. Almost too embarrassing to admit. Thanks for the suggestion.

  • Bluetooth Mouse "Lost Connection"

I keep getting a "Lost Connection" message with my bluetooth mouse even though I have plenty of battery life left? Does anyone know why or what I can do? Thanks!

    Steven,
I had the same symptom. I found that there was a problem with there not being enough pressure being applied by the metal strip inside the mouse cover to the switch next to the laser. It was intermittent enough that it would lose contact every so often, making the mouse think that it had been switched off.
Making a slight bend in the metal strip so as to keep more pressure on the switch seemed to solve the problem.

  • Wireless Mouse Losing Connection

Anyone else having this problem? It just cuts out and I get the picture on the screen saying "Connection Lost." It doesn't seem to matter what I'm doing. I have an new, extra bluetooth mouse (because I'm clumsy and have tile floors...) and that one won't work either. So, I resort to the wired mouse from my old computer. I've tried new batteries, too, even though there was no warning of them running out of power.
    Any thoughts?

I usually turn my BT mouse off and flip it upside down so when the computer comes on next morning at 6, it's not paired.
This morning I turned it on, flipped it to working pose and it didn't pair quickly at all. With fresh batteries, it would work for only a few minutes, then lose its connection.
    Over and over and over.
A full re-boot seems to have fixed it, but one is always suspicious after a software update comes in as happened yesterday with iMovie 9.0.2.

  • WIRELESS MUSIC LOST CONNECT

    Newbie Question.
I lost my connection after restarting my computer. I reinstalled the USB cable with no luck. I have 2 solid green lights on the wireless receiver. Tool bar shows media server connected at92.68.0.3. Netgear wireless router. Dial up modem. No other devices on the network. Windows ME. Also, now when I try to acess the CDDB the program says that there is another process of the music information provider running at the same time.
Thank you in advance for any help in this matter. Al

From what you've said it sounds like there's a connection. If you click the Media Server icon in the system tray and select Launch Console, does it show Recei'ver not detected or does it show your receiver name in the bar just below Add Tracks icon? If it shows your receiver, can you play music from the Console? If not try power cycling the receiver and remote.
Don't know about ME, but with XP Pro after SP2 and a couple of patches my music quit playing even though everything still showed as connected. I could even browse the music library from the remote. I had to disable the Windows firewall. I now use the McAfee firewall and it all works fine.

  • Magic mouse lost connection all the time

I have an iMac for 2 years, my magic mouse always lost the connection and the battery was always fine. I thought that was normal, and then I talked with some friends and they told me that this problems did not happen with them.
So, how could I fix it?
    Thanks!

UPDATE and additional info: This problem is still occurring.
Apply have been completely unhelpful so far, after a second phone call, I was just told (again) to restart my MBP, unpair and repair my mouse, and insert fresh batteries. I've also done the SMC and PRAM resets several times.
I'm using my MBP in clamshell mode connected to a BenQ GL2460 monitor. Running my MBP slightly ajar seems to temporarily help with he mouse lagginess but the problem soon reoccurs.
I've tested my mouse on a friends earlier model non updated MBP and the mouse works fine.
I went out a bought a Microsoft USB mouse and the same lagginess happens with it, albeit a lot worse.
I'm currently running both mice connected via bluetooth, which actually seems to be minimising the magic mouse lagginess, but the Microsoft mouse is still very laggy. So I wonder what having two mice connected simultaneously is doing?

  • Wireless keyboard losts connection with key combination "FN + Command + b".

    Can anyone help?
I'm wondering about the strange behavior of my Apple Aluminum Wireless Keyboard(A1255).
Whenever I pressed the key combination "FN + Command + b", bluetooth connection will be lost.
I sometimes press them by mistake, and I feel annoying.
    Is there any workarounds?
    Best regards,

Well, it works today. Problem solved. Thanks for looking.

  • Mouse lost connection

Magic mouse and keyboard keep losing connection.  Tried changing batteries but still doesn't work.  Please help

I was having issues like this, so I brought it up to a gentleman in the Apple store.  He suggested changing the batteries, which you have done, and if that doesn't work, bring the magic mouse and keyboard into a Apple store so they can run a diagnostic test on that hardware.  It is possible they are effected by a known issue that can only be diagnosed in store.
If you have purchased within the last year, you should be covered.  Regardless, I have found Apple to be a very sympethetic company that tries very hard to help their customers enjoy their products, so I definately suggest you bring them into the store to run a quick test.
You may want to call ahead to book an appointent at the Genius bar, saving you an unexpected wait at the store.
Let me know if this helped, sharing is caring

  • Wireless keyboard lost connection and blinks instead?

I have had my wireless keyboard and mouse over a year and had no problems. I turned the system off last night like usual, and this morning when I turned it all back on I can't proceed past the login as the keyboard is not paring up and I just have a green blinking light next to the keyboard on/off switch.
The batteries are okay, but to be sure I have recharged them, and the Bluetooth is working okay as the mouse is paired and working fine.
Any help, advice or solutions out there?

As far as I can see mostly Keyboards between Oct and Dec 2004 are involved. I would appreciate if Apple could have a careful look on this issue and take resp. actions as e.g. an extented repair or replacement program!
    Best regards Stefan

  • Neither wireless keyboard nor wireless mouse will connect

After a power outage, Bluetooth on my IMac remains "Not available". The keyboard and mouse lights go on, then blink and then go out. I installed Yosemite, restarted, consulted these help pages, but NONE of the suggested solutions worked. In the Bluetooth pane, no devices are locatable, so set-up assistant will not work. What can I do?

If you have not tried the SMC reset, do that as a last resort to see if that may help.
Otherwise, there may be a hardware problem behind the symptom you noted...

  • Why is my wireless mouse not connecting

My 1 year old magic mouse suddenly disconnected after the batter

Were the batteries you took out corroded?   If so, have you thoroughly cleaned the contact points inside the battery compartment?   And if you have to do that, do not forget to clean the replacement batteries you used as they may now also be contaminated.
What brand batteries did you replace the old ones with?     Were they from a discount store?
Opinion here, in general, is that you should use, Energiser, Eneloop, Duracell(2400) or  Apple batteries (I personally find Apple's quite poor).
If you have rechargeable batteries AND regular batteries, do not mix them.
If you use White spirit or its equivellent to clean only DAMPEN the cotton bud.   And give the cleaned parts adequate time to dry out before reconnecting.

  • Mac wireless keyboard lost connection and i can reconect because I need a password to log in

While I was playing team fortress 2 my keyboard suddenly stopped working, since there's no way to quit it without a keyboard I pulled the plug. After restarting my iMac the keyboard still wouldn't connect but there's no way I can troubleshot because my accounts require passwords. Any solutions? Do I have to take it in? Or can I use a wired keyboard and fix it from there?

Connect a USB keyboard to the system.
