Wireless password on iPad

My Mbp just bit the dust. Bought a new Mac but I need the wireless pass word to set up he new Mac. Of course the only place I have my password is in keychain on the MBP that no longer works. My iPad is still connected to the wifi net work so I know the password is somewhere on the iPad but I don't know where. How do I find the wireless password I.e. keychain. On my iPad?

1. Get your router IP address from the router manual
2. Use Safari to enter your router setup page
3. Configuration>Wireless
4. Reset your password
5. Save password and exit setup

I'm trying to connect a HP Officejet Pro 8600 to our university campus wireless network for the purposes of printing wirelessly from an IPAD. The printer finds the wireless network when going through wireless wizard setup but gets a message that the wireless network is using security that is not supported.
The campus wireless network uses:
Security type: WPA2-Enterprise
Encryption type: AES
Can anyone tell me if these are supported by this model printer?

The printer is designed to be used with WPA2 - Personal and not the Enterprise version. From the wiki artricle on WPA encryption:
WPA-Personal Also referred to as WPA-PSK (Pre-shared key) mode, it is designed for home and small office networks and doesn't require an authentication server. Each wireless network device authenticates with the access point using the same 256-bit key generated from a password or passphrase.
WPA-Enterprise Also referred to as WPA-802.1X mode, and sometimes just WPA (as opposed to WPA-PSK). It is designed for enterprise networks and requires a RADIUS authentication server. This requires a more complicated setup, but provides additional security (e.g. protection against dictionary attacks on short passwords). An Extensible Authentication Protocol (EAP) is used for authentication, which comes in different flavors.
If the network is using WPA-Enterprise, then most likely the 8600 will not be able to connect. Hope this helps.

Similar issue but forget this network does not reset my problem. My IT staff came in to my office to check my network login. Asked if they could use my computer, I was in the middle of a big chunk of statistical code and said no. Asked if they could use my Ipad. Not thinking I said sure, they logged in with their credentials on the new network, now even if I hit forget and wait a half hour, as soon as I select that network it finds their old login and connects. To verify your conclusion, you are correct. You can't retreive a password that's been entered in an iPad, iPhone, Mac or PC. If you could that would defeat the purpose of having a password.
You have to change the password on your wireless access point, then re-enter it on your iPad.

You cannot print from the iPad to that printer. AirPrint and Bluetooth are completely different.
There may be apps you can buy that will enable using that printer, but that is not an ideal solution.
That particular printer has had many bad reviews, and is unreasonably expensive for its features. Considering that you just bought the printer, as well as its lack of AirPrint, I suggest you return it and buy a printer that supports AirPrint.

I'd suggest converting your old videos to one of those formats
handbrake is a free program which does this for you
itunes used to be able to too when I right clicked incompatible media but don't see the option any more
or maybe it only show when one right click incompatible media and currently my lib don't have any

if they are acc protected have you tried to remove the DRM this can be don using itunes as

Go to Settings -> General -> Bluetooth. Turn on the iPad Bluetooth service and then the keyboard. They should find each other.
BTW it's tricky to disconnect them. If you don't turn off the keyboard while it's paired, the iPad virtual keyboard won't work properly. Check the manual.
The green light on the keyboard doesn't stay on all the time the keyboard is on, just for a few seconds after each change of state.
The bluetooth keyboard - iPad combination is a very effective writing tool. The keyboard is very responsive.

Have you tried restarting the printer? Reboot the iPad as well.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

Wireless Network and IPad

I have been having an ongoing issue with my WiFi iPad 2 (as well as my iPhone 4). My WiFi constantly drops. Basically any time I want to use either of these devices I have to restart my router. My PC laptop works fine on the wireless. The iPad and iPhone both pick up an IP if I renew the lease, but then after a few seconds they drops it. I am not using any static IP configurations for any of the wireless devices in my apartment. Has anyone encountered this issue or have any recommendations?
My router is a D-Link, DIR-615 and I have updated the firmware.

If your printer supports AirPrint but does not work then:
Your printer might need a firmware update
Your printer must be on the same WiFi network
Your router must support Bonjour (Zero-configuration networking).
For troubleshooting:
Turn Off iPad, WiFi router (remove from power), and Printer (remove from power).
Turn on WiFi router
Wait 30 seconds
Turn on printer
Wait 30 seconds
Turn on iPad
Try to print.

There are two types of reset you can perform on your Apple Extreme Base Station.
If you forgot your base station password and can no longer configure the Airport Extreme you should perform a Soft Reset.
If your AirPort stopped responding or has serious accessibility issues you can revert back to default factory configuration by performing a Hard Reset.
SOFT RESET
The AirPort Extreme must be connected to power during the following steps.
Step One
Disconnect any Ethernet cables from the base station.
Step Two
Select System Preferences... from the Apple menu at the top left hand corner of the screen.
Step Three
Click the Network icon to open the Network Preferences.
Step Four
Select Airport from the list of connections on the left.
Step Five
Click the Advanced button.
Step Six
Click to select the TCP/IP tab.
Step Seven
Set the Configure IPv4 to Using DHCP.
Step Eight
Press and hold the base station reset button for one full second. The base station remains in reset mode for five minutes. If you do not make your changes within five minutes of pressing the reset button, the base station will revert to the previous configuration.
Note: Holding the reset button for 5 seconds or longer will do a hard reset. AirPort will indicate if it's in hard reset mode by blinking faster.
Step Nine
From the AirPort menu bar item, choose the network created by the base station (the network name does not change).
Step Ten
Open the Airport Utility from the Applications : Utilities folder.
Step Eleven
Locate and double-click your base station to configure it.
Step Twelve
Ignore the errors in Base Station Status at this time. You now have the opportunity to change settings such as base station password, network password, the Access Control List, and RADIUS.
- To reset base station password, choose Base Station tab and edit the password field.
- To change the network password, choose the Wireless tab and edit the Wireless password field. Or, turn on encryption (WPA2 is recommended) and enter a new password for your AirPort network.
- Unless you have been given an IP address by your ISP or system administrator, do not change the IP address.
Step Thirteen
Click Update. The base station restarts to load the new settings. Plug back in the Ethernet cable and reconnect to your network.
HARD RESET
If your AirPort Extreme has firmware 5.5.1 or later follow these steps:
Step One
Push and hold the reset button.
Step Two
Continue holding it until you see the center status light (LED) start to flash rapidly, which should happen after about five seconds.
Step Three
Release the button, and AirPort Extreme will reset.

i have a photosmart plus b209a-m and recently changed my WEP key. now my printer won't connect b/c it's on the old key, and i can't figure out how to update it. i've checked the forums and can't find a thread for changing the wireless password for my specific type of printer. please help!

You may be able to set this up by going to your start menu, programs, hp, b209a, and then printer setup and software. From here you can go to add device, and see if it gives the option to set the device up via wireless.
If this does not work you may have to reinstall the software and go through wireless setup during the install. The link below shows how to do this on all of the different operating systems:
