Wireless Policy Management

Hi all, I'm new to In-Tune so please excuse my ignorance...
Can Windows In-Tune be used to manage wireless networks? - we want to be able to deploy certificates (and updates to them) along with corporate wireless network settings (SSID, authentication methods etc).
I know Airwatch can do this but it seems to make more sense using In-Tune to manage Windows devices, if this is possible
Thanks in advance, Rob

You have a couple of options
1. You can do this in the ConfigMgr console if you are using the Unified Device Management solution (ConfigMgr & Intune) > Assets and Compliance > Company Resource Access > Wi-Fi Profiles
2. You can deploy a script via Windows Intune

  • Group Policy Management | No such interface supported

    Running Windows Server 2008 R2 as a Domain Controller and when I open Group Policy Management, click on a GPO, then click on the Settings tab, it pops up an error message that says "No such interface supported".  I've found several articles
    that talk about registering .dll files and I've done that and nothing.  I've uninstalled GPMC and reinstalled and that didn't fix anything.  Can anyone help resolve this?

    Hi Jason,
    Before going further, do we have other domain controllers? If yes, does GPMC work correctly on these domain controller? GPMC reports the error "No Such interface supported" normally is due to a missing or corrupted Windows component.
    Besides, do we update the server to the latest? If not, we can update the server to the latest and then reinstall the GPMC to see if the issue persists.

  • VS, ODT and using "Oracle Project"-template requires Policy Management

    HI,
    I installed the ODT 11.1.0.6.20 and tried to create a new project using the "Oracle Project" but received the following error message: "The project <ProjectName> requires Policy Management. Open this project in Visual Studio.NET Enterprise Developer or Visual Studio.NET Enterprise Architect."
    I have tried this using VS 2008 Professional and Team Edition. The operating systems is Vista x64 Ultimate.
    Oracle documentation doesn't mention any specific VS version so this is perhaps something else. Is there a workaround or fix to get around this?
    TIA,
    Kari

    OK, I'll give it a try. This suggestion makes perfect sense. I have used that template to create a project before, but noticed that it doesn't contain a windows form by default and so I assumed that it was a build for a n-tier application database access class, which is not necessarily what I want, and so I abandoned the effort. I know I can add a window form. I appreciate the response and will post back my results.
    Is there an example project somewhere that I could download and have a look at?
    Thanks again for your reply, even though you didn't reply to me. I think you resolved my problem! :-)

  • Not able to see the users in Authorization Policy Manager

    I have configured a OID provider in the myrealm of weblogic for OES Server. I also added the following lines to jps-config.xml
    <serviceInstance provider=”idstore.ldap.provider” name=”idstore.ldap”>
    <property value=”oracle.security.jps.wls.internal.idstore.WlsLdapIdStoreConfigProvider” name=”idstore.config.provider”/>
    <property value=”oracle.security.idm.providers.stdldap.JNDIPool” name=”CONNECTION_POOL_CLASS”/>
    <property name=”idstore.type” value=”OID”/>
    </serviceInstance>
    Even then I cannot see any of the users from the OID through application policy manager.
    Anybody aware of any other settings that need to be done ?
    oes server version is 11.1.1.6. and OID is 11.1.1.5.
    Any help will be appreciated.

  • How to install Oracle Policy Manager?

    Hi,
    I'm trying to install Oracle Policy Manager on a server w/Oracle.
    I already have Oracle DB & Client 10gR2 installed and configured, and all is working fine.
    I've read that to install Policy Manager, I have to install it from the Client CD. When I did the initial install, I chose 'Administrator' install.
    I ran the installer again and chose 'Custom' but didn't see anything that related to Policy Manager.
    Where can I find this?
    Thanks,
    Nora

    Hi
    OPM, oracle policy manager, is installed with the old enterprise manager.
    OPM is to manage VPD, virtuell private database and label security.
    Label Security is an extra Option.

    Hi All,
    Please find the procedure to activate the control service platform.
    Error:
    RTC – 5301: The control service is not currently available.
    Solution:
    1.     Go to the path, where your OWB 10g R2 installed and open the below batch file in notepad or textpad.
    <OWB_HOME>\owb\bin\win32\run_service.bat
    2.     In that text file, please change the below line
    Original Script:
    %JAVAPATH%\jre\bin\javaw.exe %JVM_OPTIONS% -DORACLE_HOME="%RTHOME%" -DOCM_HOME="%RTHOME%" -DOCM_ORACLE_HOME="%RTHOME%" -classpath %RTHOME%\owb\bin\admin\;%RTHOME%\owb\bin\admin\launcher.jar -DOWB_HOME=%OWB_HOME% -DJDK_HOME=%JDK_HOME% -DORA_HOME=%ORA_HOME% -DOEM_HOME=%OEM_HOME% -DIAS_HOME=%IAS_HOME% Launcher %RTHOME%\owb\bin\admin\owb.classpath oracle.wh.runtime.platform.service.Service %STARTUP_TYPE% %NODEID% %RTUSER% %HOST% %PORT% %SERVICE%
    Add this text -Duser.timezone="+02:00" as shown below:
    %JAVAPATH%\jre\bin\javaw.exe %JVM_OPTIONS% -DORACLE_HOME="%RTHOME%" -Duser.timezone="+02:00" -DOCM_HOME="%RTHOME%" -DOCM_ORACLE_HOME="%RTHOME%" -classpath %RTHOME%\owb\bin\admin\;%RTHOME%\owb\bin\admin\launcher.jar -DOWB_HOME=%OWB_HOME% -DJDK_HOME=%JDK_HOME% -DORA_HOME=%ORA_HOME% -DOEM_HOME=%OEM_HOME% -DIAS_HOME=%IAS_HOME% Launcher %RTHOME%\owb\bin\admin\owb.classpath oracle.wh.runtime.platform.service.Service %STARTUP_TYPE% %NODEID% %RTUSER% %HOST% %PORT% %SERVICE%
    (In the above line, please mention space, double quotes and other things carefully)
    3.     Save the file run_service.bat.
    4.     Open the sqlplus and login using OWB repository OWNER name and password (not user name / password).
    5.     Then, execute the below scripts
    SQL> @<OWB_HOME>\owb\rtp\sql\stop_service.sql
    SQL> @<OWB_HOME>\owb\rtp\sql\start_service.sql
    Now, you successfully enabled the control service platform.
    Now, go to OWB and deploy the objects.
    Thanks,
    Prabhu Kasinathan.

    I am unable to see the Remote App and Desktop Connection in Group Policy Management Editor on my 2012 R2 DC. I am therefore not able configure the connection URL in Access RemoteApp and desktops in our Windows 8.1 client environment.
    Within the Group Policy Under User Configuration, Administrative Templates, Windows Components all I see is:-
    RD Gateway
    Remote Desktop Connection Client
    Remote Desktop Session Host
    But NOT
    Remote App and Desktop Connection
    Which I need. Is there anyway of adding this?

    Do you use a central store for ADMX? Is this central store out of date?

    Hi All

    I have defined the process level policies in the fault-bindings.xml file as shown below and its not working.
    <faultPolicyBindings>
    <process faultPolicy="NICBPELFaultPolicy">
    <name>mainCalcProcess2</name>
    </process>
    <process faultPolicy="RetryPolicy">

    </faultPolicyBindings>
    is it a correct way of fault handling?

    Hi,
    Could you provide me the details of testing this Fault policy.
    You can handle the fault policy at process level and domain level, it looks like you are trying to have fault policy at <font face="tahoma,verdana,sans-serif" size="1" color="#000">Domain</font> level.
    You have defined the Fauilt at domain level by defining in fault-bindings.xml file.
    Have you restarted the server after defining this fault? If yes how are you testing this fault?
    Thanks
    SathishI got more deep understanding about this part, Thanks for your explanation! Nice writing.

  • How to run Policy manager in 10g on UNIX

    Hi,
    I have installed Oracle 10g and I want to install Label Security.
    Can anybody let me know how to open Policy Manager in 10g.
    I am working on HP-UX platform....
    JAI HIND
    Darshan

    1) Label Security is a separately licensed option - costs extra $;
    2) There is a whole manual describing how to use it;
    3) oemapp is available from the 'Client' installation CD in 10g;
    4) From the manual
    "Note that the graphical user interface for the Oracle Policy Manager (OPM) should be used for viewing data only when Oracle Label Security is configured to use the Oracle Internet Directory. OPM can be used to view and modify data only when Oracle Label Security is configured to use the Oracle9i database as its primary repository. OPM can be used to manage VPD regardless of the Oracle Label Security configuration."

  • Unable to update Policies in Policy Manager

    After I make some modification to a policy and click submit/save, it keeps loading. If I click on some link and come back to that policy, I see the changes have been done. But the changes does not takes effect without restarting the Policy Manager and Access server. I am seeing the following logs in the Policy Manager logs - "Exception during DB runtime code".
    Thanks.

    I saw the following logs repeating again and again every second in the directory server:
    MODRDN dn="obSeqNo=2429,obapp=PSC,o=Oblix,o=oblixroot" newrdn="obSeqNo=2429" newsuperior="(null)"
    RESULT err=68 tag=109 nentries=0 etime=0 csn=4a410c0e004800010000
    Deleting the entry obSeqNo=2429 in DS solved the issue.
    Here is what I think happened. Please correct me if my reasoning is wrong and. Also, please let me know if you know why it happened.
    The Policy manager was trying to update the record with the assigned seqno. but was unable to due to existing record. This was causing the problem.
    Thanks.
