Wireless printer and wifi wont connect at same time

I have a Mac Mini with software version 10.6.8 I also have a HP wireless printer and for some reason cannot get my wirless internet and wireless printer to connect at the same time, to print anything I have to disconnect from the internet and to use the internet I have to disconnect from the printer can anyone help?

It sounds as though you did not configure your wireless printer to join your usual wireless network. It may be communicating directly with your Mini using an "ad-hoc" configuration, bypassing your wireless router. This will be inconvenient at best.
Refer to your HP printer's documentation to determine how to configure it to join your existing wireless network... the same one you use to connect to the Internet.

Hi there, I just installed a wireless printer but to use it I have to click on the Airport icon and select the printer in the 'devices' list. This deselects my connection to my wireless modem. Is there any way I can print and look at the internet at the same time? This does not seem right to me, I print a lot of info from the net and don't want to spend time selecting and waiting for connection back and forth all the time.
BoI have a Linksys WAG54G2 wireless G router. This router has a Wireless Protected Setup button which I understood would initiate a search for wireless devices and aid setup but it seems to do nothing. I made the mistake of tryig to use the linksys installation disk to access a setup wizard and that just reset my entire network back to factory settings and it took me 4 hours to reconfig my system. Won't be touching that again. It all seems odd, the printer is compatible with the router as far as I can see but I don't know how to get the router to recognise the printer.

4G and WiFi on at the same time
Ever since I updated to Lollipop my phone shows the 4G lte on at the same time as my device is connected to a WiFi connection (and no, not greyed out). This is particularly annoying in my apartment where it doesn't connect to the internet with the WiFi and there is internet access since I can use other devices.
I am never sure if it is using my data or WiFi.
I already did a Factory Reset and it didn't work.
Anybody else having the same issue? Any solutions?When the arrows move, data is moving. My last phone and current both would have data off, no arrows moving, but MMS would go through fine. I also had minimal, but still data was used for system updates and other system checks as displayed by a 3rd party data monitor and the phones data monitor. My data was off for 3 weeks and I had a 50-55 MB useage attributed to system update and another app that almost every major carrier has on every Android which is used by each to update phones and perform other tasks. Without this app, the phones will not update. It is from a private company which sells this software to the carriers under the idea that a uniformed update system makes it easier to assist customer remotely and auto add-remove apps from users systems if the carrier sees fit. The carrier has the manufacturer program the app into its own version of Android.

Connecting to wireless network *and* another computer at the same time?

I will be getting a new macbook soon and have an old powerbook with airport. I am wondering if it is possible to connect to my old powerbook via airport, while still being connected to a third-party wireless internet connection (from the macbook). The crucial point is that I cannot connect both computers to the wireless network, because subscription is based on the computer's hardware address and I don't want to pay for 2 computers (I don't need to have internet access on the old computer, just a connection between the two computers). Anyone knows?
Thanks!What you are referring to is known as "Internet Sharing" for Macs, but it's typically restricted to sharing the Internet connection from one port (either AirPort or Ethernet) to the OTHER port...not AirPort-to-AirPort or Ethernet-to-Ethernet.

I don't have a wireless printer, and want to print things off of my iPad. I know that I can use the iPad Camera Connection kit to connect USB devices like keyboards and I am wondering if I could do the same with a USB printer.
I don't think you can connect a printer since you won't have the printer drivers. I use FingerPrint from collobos.com to print to my non-AirPrint printers.

I cannot connect my Macbook to Epson printer XP 400. Both are on the same network and Symantic anti virus is disconneted.

It seems that the epson xp-400 works wirelessly only with 802.11n wireless network not with 802.11g or earlier.
Does anyone else know about this. I read it on the epson support site for epson xp-400.
Also epson xp-400 will not work wirelessly if it is already connected to a computer with a USB cable. -
I just got a wireless printer and we followed the directions on how to hook it up to the iPad. Somehow it seems as if we hooked it up to the wrong printer. How do we disconnect this printer from the iPad so that we can connect the correct printer?
AirPrint finds any air print enabled printers on your wifi network, and won't find any printers that are not. So if you print from, say, safari, and it finds that printer, then that is your printer. It may have a different name than you were expecting.
Turn the printer off, and see if the print job still sees the printer. That will confirm that the one it sees is yours.
What happens when you send the print job?
If you are sharing a wifi network with others, and one of them has a AirPrint printer on the network, you will see that one. There is not way to have it forget one, so you will need to know your printer from the other printer, and select the right one. -

While opening Safari click the Bookmarks icon and select Bonjour.. can you see the printer listed there?
(If Bonjour is not listed click Safari > Preferences > Bookmarks and check Bonjour within the Collections section)
Can you access the printer by typing its IP from Safari?
If the printer not available only thoguh Bonjour but an be reached by its IP, what router brand and model are you using?
Templeton Peck - correct me if I'm wrong, the different OS X forums have a dedicated forum for printing and scanning.. as Apple no longer produce printers about the last 2 decades I would assume those forums meant to deal with other manufactures over OS X..

Can I have my Time Capsule wifi and my Verizon router wifi on at the same time?
I want to have my verizon wifi on at the same time as my time capsules wifi but I don't know if it interfere. There's an app that you can use as a remote for your cable box but you need to be on your routers wifi.

ZachSuggest that you run a few speed checks on both wireless networks with a computer in same room as the wireless router using a site like www.speedtest.net on your browser.
If you are getting close to your plan speeds, then you likely do not have interference issues.
Most routers will scan to find the best available channel to use, so assuming that your equipment is working OK, things should be OK. Try to keep the Verizon router and Time Capsule at least 6-8 feet, or a few meters from each other.
This assumes that you are not living in a crowded situation like an apartment complex, where intereference is pretty much a fact of life due to the very limited number of wireless channels that are available. -
My HP office jet 6500 printer is stuck on pause. I do not have an admin name or password that it keeps prompting me to give, as it is a wireless printer and that info was not required when we set up the printer. I have checked all diagnostics and connections and they are all good/passed. I am so frustrated!!! This has never happened in the past.
What is asking you for an admin name and password? What does the dialog say, exactly?
What model iMac are you using, and which OS version?
If it is earlier than Lion or Snow Leopard, try deleting the printer and adding it again as explained in this document

WIFI AND 4G on at the same time
I received a software update yesterday and after it started show my WiFi connection and 4GLTE symbols at the same time. Does this mean they are both running eating up my data plan? and it seems they both are transferring data at the same time according to the green/orange arrows. It this a bug or part of the upgrade?
thanks for the suggestion on Caller id. now my note 3 has decided to not handle email.... freezes and gets really really hot to touch... called TS they advised me to swap phone ASAP and not to use it until I do.... might be a safety issue.... happy days.... sometimes technology sucks......LOL... heads up if your phone freezes gets real hot..... internal issue no fix return!!!!!!!

How to have ethernet connected PC use printer and USB HD connected into TC
So I just got a new Time Capsule (500GB) and the way I have it connected is the cable modem goes through it and then another ethernet cable connects to my desktop PC (no wireless on this PC). Then I have my USB printer and USB HD going into the USB port on the Time Capsule via a USB Hub. Airport utility sees both the HD and the Printer.
My problem is that I can't get my PC to see the HD or the Printer. How does a PC connected through a ethernet cable and not wireless see and use these two peripherals? I have Bonjour for Windows installed but I thought that was for a wireless connection? Also is there a way to open some kind of configuration thing for Bonjour on my PC? Where on my PC would I find the HD and Printer (like in Windows Explorer or Network Places), I can't find these devices anywhere except when looking in the Airport Utility Manual Setup.
Any help would be much appreciated. I don't have much technical knowledge about networks.
Edit: One last thing is that before getting the TimeCapsule, I had a regular D-Link router running my wireless network and the printer was connected directly to the PC. This setup allowed my Macbook to use the printer and access any shared folders/files on my PC. My Mackbook was recently stolen and my new one will arrive next week, so right now I can't really test whether the Macbook can see and use the HD and Printer if they are connected to the Time Capsule. I'm wondering if I should just go back to plugging the HD and printer into the PC and running the network sharing that way????

However, my new problem is that whenever I connect the USB Windows Formated HD to the Time Capsule the whole thing just stops working and my PC and my MacBook can't read the Time Capsule at all until I turn of the USB HD. Any help would be appreciated.
