Hi Steve74Navy,
I believe that this printer can only be connected by USB cable. See online manual.

  • Wireless printing with my iMac and iPad...

I have a lexmark X4530 printer that I would like to set up for wireless printing from my iMac and iPad (mostly the iPad). I don't have the disk that came with my printer. I currently have the printer wired to my iMac and it is working fine. I tried to print from my iPad, it found the printer but says there is a connection error. I'm not sure what order to connect all this in. Do I set up printer wirelessly to my iMac first or can I just leave printer plugged into iMac and print from iPad wirelessly? Also I tried to use the wireless setup assistant that installed on the iMac when I first plugged in the printer, but it tells me (after entering in all necessary information) that there is a connection error. Please help!!

  • How to do wireless printing with aiport extreme and HP c4280

I admit it... I'm a dunce. I usually just plug the usb for the hp c4280 printer right into my macbook pro, but I want to finally be able to use it wirelessly. I have an airport extreme, and i know there is a usb port... how do I add the printer so i can print wirelessly?
obviously i can't just plug it in and print (right? becuase i tried and no go on the printing).
someone please take pity on me!
    thanks!

Download the install Bonjour Print Services for Windows v2.0.2
Run the program. Hopefully, your printer will be recognized.
If it is, "install" the printer and try to print.
Keep in mind that if you have an All-in-One type of device, that only the print function will be supported.
Advanced features like copy, scan, maintenance, etc are not supported. You will need to connect the All-in-One directly to your PC if you need those services.

  • Wireless Printing from MacBook Pro and Windows 7 laptop through iMac

I have looked everywhere I can think and have not found a solution to this problem:
    I just bought a 21.5" iMac and a Windows 7 laptop. I already had a 15" Macbook Pro.
I have an HP C5280 printer that is now connected via USB to the iMac. All computers use my wireless home network using a Netgear N wireless router.
I cannot figure out how to print wirelessly from either the MacBook or laptop through the iMac. Printer software is installed on all computers and printer sharing is enabled on the iMac.

    Welcome to the Apple Discussions!
In the Finder go to Help>Mac Help. Select the Index, upper right. Go to S>Sharing printers. You will find instructions for configuring Macs and PCs for printer sharing among the articles available.

  • Wireless printing with airport extreme and uverse modem

    Hi,
I'm trying to hook up an airport express so that my PC Windows 7 and Mac Mini mid 2011 can print to both of my laser printers.
The dell is network attached and the oki is network attached as well as usb attached directly to the express.
Both systems see the printers but when i send a print job from the MAC it just errors out.  If i send it from the pc like normal then it still works ok.
I also can't see either printer from my iPad 2 running iOS 5.0.1
Right now I'm running a UVerse 3800 router/modem and i have the airport express ethernet connected to one of the lan ports of the uverse router.
All printer drivers are current as well as the MAC software.
    Help

The dell is network attached and the oki is network attached as well as usb attached directly to the express.
If both printers are Network-Ready, then there is no need to connect either to the AirPort Express Base Station (AX) by USB. Being Network-Ready, these printers have their own built-in print servers which should be controllable by their front-panel interface and/or via a web-based interface.
I also can't see either printer from my iPad 2 running iOS 5.0.1
Unless both printers are AirPrint-enabled, no iOS device will be able to print to them directly.

  • Problem printing with Airport extreme and Windows Vista

I have just purchased a HP Laserjet printer that I have connected to my airport extreme. When I turn on Bonjour, my computer detects the printer, but when I try to configure it, a message apears saying I don't have the authorisation to do so...
Please tell me if you have any idea how to solve this!

I just got off the HP "chat" technical assistance about my HP DV6500z doing this same thing. At least for my model there is an October BIOS update. She had me re-install the Broadcom drivers and run the BIOS update. Now the whole computer runs faster in addition to connecting wirelessly! Not only that, I can use the "closed" network feature through the Airport Utility to hide my network as I did in the past and the PC finds it! I guess through all of the very testy notes on HP's discussion board they finally came through (well, at least on this model). My model has the AMD processor so if yours is Intel it may not be the same. I recommend going to their TA chat line or type in your model on their Software & Driver page to see if there is a recent revision on your models BIOS. The one I downloaded was dated 10-2007.

  • What is a good wireless printer that will work with a macbook and windows laptops?

What is a good wireless printer that will work with a macbook and windows laptops?

Any printer that visibly supports OS X will work fine. My personal recommendation is Brother, followed rather distantly by Canon.
Recently I have grown to favor Brother printers over the others. They are inexpensive, their OS X integration is well-implemented, their consumables are reasonably priced, and their technical support is free forever. If you need to call them and explain that you have a Mac, you will immediately receive competent assistance.
The third and subsequent choices are so far down from those two they're not worth mentioning. I have grown to dislike HP printers, for all the above reasons.
Read user reviews from vendor websites - Amazon is a good place to start, since Amazon lets people write almost anything they want... right, wrong, or completely idiotic.
Read the reviews on the respective manufacturers' websites as well, but consider the likelihood of them deleting negative reviews.
Process all those user reviews employing your own common sense, and draw your own conclusions.
Consider AirPrint compatibility for future needs. Those features add very little to the price over a USB - only or wireless printer. Understand that not all wireless printers are AirPrint compatible - AirPrint must be specifically indicated. Choose among this list: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4356
After OS X compatibility, the next consideration should be the cost of consumables. Laser printers are cheaper than inkjets in that regard.
Here is a list of AirPrint compatible Brother printers and multifunction devices

The problem is not the router.. the issue is the vpn has put your computer in a different IP range with a different gateway. When you turn off the vpn the computer returns to local lan and can print.
Some vpn software allows you to set gateway to use local net instead of remote gateway or access to other webistes or local lan.
    Read up the issue.
    http://stevejenkins.com/blog/2010/01/using-the-local-default-gateway-with-a-wind ows-vpn-connection/
    Cisco vpn client..
    https://supportforums.cisco.com/thread/239113
I did not search much.. just grabbed the first article I could find that explains the issue.
The whole point of the vpn is whilst it is connected your computer is NOT part of the Local Lan .. it is part of the Remote LAN via the vpn tunnel.
It is also a security risk using split tunnelling so often it will not be allowed.
Plug the printer directly into the computer via usb or whatever.. Local connection will work.. not local lan.

You need to turn on Printer Sharing on both the PC and OS X. I can't help you on Vista but in OS X it's System Preferences - Sharing - check the Printer Sharing box.

  • Can't use my HP Deskjet F4580 Wireless Printer with the AirPort Extreme Base. The printer is NOT connected at the USB port of the AirPort Extreme, and is placed in another room. It worked just fine with my previous router (Linksys WRT54G). Help me!

    Hey Guys!
I just got my AirPort Extreme Base, but I can't use my HP Deskjet F4580 wireless printer with it.
The printer is not connected to the AirPort Extreme's USB port. It is placed in another room, and I'd like to use it (the printer) wirelessly (not connected to the USB port os the AirPort Extreme), as I used to. There is no place for the printer close the AirPort Extreme. It worked just fine with my previous wireless router (Linksys WRT54G). I'm very disappointed with the AirPort Extreme Base Station because of that!...
    Can you help me? Please?!
    Thanks Folks!

This must be a tough one, no suggestions at all.

  • I want to use my jetpack 890L as a wireless router to allow wireless printing with a canon laser printer. Is this possible, and does the jetpack support WPS?

I want to use my jetpack 890L as a wireless router to enable wireless printing with a canon laser printer. Is this possible, and does the jetpack support WPS?

I’ve used several wireless printers with a 4510 and 5510 Jetpack and they all print just fine. The MHS890L does not support WPS. The WPS Wikipedia article briefly addresses the reason why you should not use WPS.  If you’re having trouble setting up your printer the manufacturer has a toll free support line to help you. Your Jetpack has the Wi-Fi Password on the bottom, under the battery, and or in the LED display.

  • Cannot print with Cannon LBP5000 and Timecapsule

So I've read that the Cannon LBP5000 is not compatible after all with Time Capsule.  Due to the CAPT Driver being bi-directional.  I do not accept this as a resolution and feel that Apple cannot simply push this aside.  My reason for that is this.
I was printing fine, with both my MBP and Air via a USB cable to my Cannon LBP5000 - great.
I then decided to go wireless printing.  And bought a HP 2101nw print server for £30.  I could then print wirelessly - fab!
I then decided to upgrade my MBP to Lion.  I then could no longer print on that machine. Air still fine - pants.
I then had to (for other support reasons) upgrade my Air to Lion, to fix something else.  I could no longer print from their either - bugger.
After much passing of bucks and research, I found out the HP 2101nw driver is not Lion compatible, nor do Apple or HP have any intention of fixing that.  I was told to discard that wireless print server for something compatible with Lion - cheers.
I then bought a 2TB TimeCapsule. And found I couldnt print from that either for the lame reason I quoted at the start.
If this print worked wirelessley with a £30 print server on Snow Lepoard, why is it acceptable for it to not work on a £249 device.  The printer hasnt changed, but it seemed a £30 solution is able to handle this 'Bi-Directional' impediment where the mighty TimeCapsule gives up.
What a load of tosh - really, really unimpressed Apple. Take ownership and responsiblity for something for once and fix the exceptionally painful transistion you pushed us through with Lion.

created by Sara.Forsberg in Acrobat Reader - View the full discussionHi verlaa73828618, It sounds, then, that you can't even open Adobe Reader. Is that correct? What version of Reader are you currently using (and are you on Mac OS or Windows)? Have you tried reinstalling Reader? Best,Sara If the reply above answers your question, please take a moment to mark this answer as correct by visiting: https://forums.adobe.com/message/7446005#7446005 and clicking ‘Correct’ below the answer Replies to this message go to everyone subscribed to this thread, not directly to the person who posted the message. • Wireless Printing with PowerBook G4 17"

We have two PowerBook 17" G4s. We bought an HP 1320 LaserJet which works fine when cable-connected, but we want to set up for wireless printing to maximize our flexibility in computing and minimize wear-and-tear on the cable connections on our computers.
We have recently learned from HP that they don't support Macs for wireless printing with this printer (although they do support Windows with it for wireless printing)
Can anyone recommend a reliable, good-quality B&W laser jet type printer which is capable of wireless connections with Apple PowerBooks? We are set up for DSL using LinkSys modem, and LinkSys has been no help in this matter. Thanks for any help or advice ...

If it's an ethernet printer then you should be able to plug it into a wireless router and print from the mac over the network. All you should need to do is to enter the printer's ip address when setting it up on the mac and it should just work - OSX has the ppd files built in for most laserjets.
If not ethernet, then you have to find a usb to wireless adapter - they do exist, and then the printer will act much like any other network device. Linksys make a wireless usb print server. Try a google search for "54g usb adapter" but make sure anything you buy will work on a printer - ie pick up an ip address from the router.
Bear in mind, that if it starts to get pricey to do this, it might be more cost effective to switch to an ethernet enabled laser printer which will work seamlessly. I recently picked up a Dell 3100cn which is really very good - if big, but the output is excellent quality and it was better value to get a new printer than get the bits to make my current printer wireless and replace the toner. Just a thought. Apparently the Dell refurb shop is very good and quite cheap.
    Good luck.
PS - Wireless routers are really quite cheap, Belkin, Netgear and Linksys are fairly inexpensive - I found circuit city to be quite good.

  • Problems with Acrobat 8 and Windows 7 64 bit

    Hi all
I need help with Acrobat 8 and Windows 7.
During the installation I'm asked to locate the file AdobePDF.dll on the disk. Selected the file in C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 8.0\Acrobat\Xtras\AdobePDF\AMD64.
The installation finishes without any other problem.
The problem arises when I want to create a pdf from a Word document. I'm using Office 2007. When I select he option to create a pdf from a file, I get message in the attached image.
If I try to used the Adobe PDF printer from within Word, nothing happes. The small printer icon apprears in the Windows task bar, but that is all. If I double click on the icon, I can see the print job, but that's all. There is no dialog box that asks me to save the file.
    Assistance will be apppreciated.

Acrobat 8 is not certified for Win7, particularly the x64 version. If you got the installation to go, the first step is to update AA8 to at least AA8.2. The x64 with XP required at least AA8.2 and I suspect that has not changed. I would suggest updating to the latest, either from the help menu (until no more updates are available) or by downloading the updates from the adobe.com>downloads page. For the latter, download ALL updates after your current version and install them in ORDER. They are not cummulative in most cases. You only need to reboot after the final update. The updates may get you going. If not, you may simply have to upgrade to AA9 or search for what others have been able to do in your situation.

  • Can't print to HP LaserJet Prof. P1102w_1 wireless printer with my iPad.

I cannot print to HP LaserJet Prof. P1102w_1 wireless printer with my iPad although it appears that this is a compatible printer.  My computer prints to this printer.  All other components of my wireless options and router are working.

    Hi,
Did you updated the printer firmware?
The P1102w only support AirPrint with the latest firmware, not with the version shipped with the device.
