Wireless Projector and Macbook Air

I have a Macbook Air and I will be giving a presentation next week. I was told that they have a wireless projector for me to use. What exactly do I need to use a wireless projector on my Macbook Air? I have the cord that is used to attach for wired projector, but I have not used wireless before. I am not sure the brand of the projector if that makes a difference.

Lost connection between airport extreme and macbook air when transferring large files

Can anyone help...?
I have an imac and macbook air wirelessly connected to a airpot extreme being used as a router with a hard drive for sharing files accross the network.
It connects ok but when we try and look at a number of large files one after the other, or copy files from the shared hard drive onto the macbook air, the macbook loses wireless connection?
A very strange issue which i cant figure out....
Can anyone help?

I used to be able to connect my iPhone 4 with my 3 yr old MacBook Pro using Bluetooth. I'm still learning the whole Mac thing but these are great machines! I purchased a MacBook Air 13" and then thought I should also get a MacBook Air 11" for travel. When I set it up at the Apple store I told the assistant the exact same name for each machine, i.e., "my name and MacBook Air." What I want to do is go back in and rename both of them adding the 11" and 13" designation to the name so that when I set up Time Machine or whatever else I know exactly which machine is what. Go to System Preferences - Sharing and change the computer name there. You can also, optionally, change the name of your hard drive to further clarify the origin of your backups. Click once on the "Macintosh HD" on your desktop, then click its name to allow you to edit it.

I recommend you consider Omnifocus. It is a task management program which runs on the Mac, Iphone & Ipad. I use it for task management and project management. It let's you store additional information as well. I sync all three devices through a Mobile Me account and I can enter data on any device and it is available on all devices. I believe you can also sync through Dropbox. I'm not sure that you can sync through iCloud yet. The link to their website is: www.omnigroup.com. There may be less expensive alternatives, but this one meets my needs and syncs very well across all devices.

Iphone 5C no longer syncs calendar to iPad and MacBook Air

Now my iPhone will only sync to my other devices when I add or delete an event on my iPhone. It does not sync when events are added or deleted on iPad or MacBook Air. When I add or delete an event on the iPhone then all previous events syncs on my other devices to my iPhone. How do I fix this?

Help needed to sync apps across iMac and Macbook Air via ICloud

I have a new Mac and I want to sync (if possible) my applications such as pic collage etc between my iMac & my Macbook Air.
The main reason I want to do this is because I have set up templates in my macbook air apps and I want to use my iMac through the day and macbook air at night and be able to access these without doing screen share.

Tracey almost any program you've purchased from the Apple App Store can be downloaded to multiple computers legally. Programs you've purchased elsewhere are typically licensed either to the user or to the computer and to be completely legal you'd need to determine which is the case for the programs you want to install on more than one computer. Most documents can be saved to iCloud (assuming you have enough space on iCloud) or other cloud services. Cloud services such as DropBox and Microsoft's OneDrive have applications that sync files automatically which allows you to share files between computers. However many (most?) applications don't automatically move templates into the cloud since they tend to be saved in the user's Library folder which often isn't synced. So templates must be dealt with on a case by case basis. (I'll often save a document that I want to use as a template and then make a fresh copy of it when I want to use it as my template)

I am curious if possibly the hotel has some sort of VOIP block on. Have you tried Skype? Did you talk to the hotel staff? My husband is traveling to Milan in a couple of days and I wonder if he will run into the same issue. He has had no problems from Istanbul but he is staying in a corporate apartment there. Mac mini and macbook air startup takes hours

When I restart my mac mini, it takes approximately 16-18 HOURS to boot. During this time the grey screen is displayed with the Apple logo, and the turning wheel is turning and turning but nothing happens.
I updated the mac mini to Mountain Lion.
What is funny, my macbook air has exactly the same problem. So I dont think that this is a hardware related problem. My macbook air takes about 8-10 hours to restart.
Anybody has the same experience or has a solution?
Again, both my mac mini and macbook air have this problem.

Open Activity Monitor in Applications>Utilities, select All Processes & sort on CPU%, any indications there?
How much RAM & free Disk space do you have also, click on the Memory & Disk Usage Tabs.
Open Console in Utilities & see if there are any clues or repeating messages when this happens.
In the Memory tab of Activity Monitor, are there a lot of Pageouts?
Open console in Applications>Utilities, check the system log for the date/time of the last Startup for clues.
