Wireless router interfering with ds4 bluetooth.

Today I hooked my ps4 up to avtv in the next room with a 10 metre hdmi cable. The ds4 connection is very flakey and drops out a lot. My router is near my ps4, if I turn the router if the ds4 works flawlessly. Is there a setting I can change on my router (virgin media router) or anything else I can do to sort this out so my ds4 connection is more stable? I can't move the router very far from the ps4 as everything else in my av rack is hard wired to the router inc the ps4.

After a few hours testing tonight (changing router to 5ghz, turning off WiFi unplugging powerlines adaptors etc). The only thing that really worked was taking the ps4 out of the av rack and standing it on it's end then moving closer to the connecting wall. Ad long as my phone's WiFi was turned off the ds4 connection was ok, although it did drop out occasionally. So I've come to the conclusion that the Bluetooth inside the ps4 and ds4 is a piece of Crap. Basically I've wasted my money on a 10 metre hdmi cable. Seems pstv has slight lag so that's not gonna be an option. Guess I'll have to stick to playing my old 360 in this room.

Trying to get a WRT54GX2 wireless router working with a WPC54G wireless card. The laptop and desktop both will access the Internet and work when hardwired through the router's Ethernet ports. When trying to access wireless, the Laptop shows to be connected to the router and also to Internet, but Internet Explorer can not access any websites.  Suggestions? Thanks.

what ip address does the laptop get ?? ensure that the laptop is not set for a static ip add....and it gets an ip add from the router ..

I recently bought a WRT54G wireless router along with a WUSB54GC compact wireless adapter and set up both products as directed.I get a message saying connected to the access point but cannot find internet. While connecting to my internet directly,(using a fiber optic cable with no modem necessary)it connects to the internet however using the modem, wired or wireless it still gets the same error. I am not computer literate,so i don't understand abbreviations or where to go to input information into certain areas,so if anyone could help me with step by step information I would be very grateful. Thank you and happy holidays.

Let me know the Model number of the adapter & the operating system of the computer ......so that i can assit you further ... ..

  • Looking for a wireless router / accespoint with radio time restriction

I am looking for a wireless router / accespoint with a radio time restriction but didn't find any information about this option. Are there any routers with the option to turn off the wireless signal between a specific time?
The router will be used at a small office .
I hope you can tell me more.
    Cheers
    Michel

Well there is No router which linksys/cisco manufacture that can stop the wireless signals to be broadcast for a specific time..
However what you can do is you can get into the setup interface of the router and disable the SSID broadcast and that will stop the router to broadcast the wireless signals...and whenever you need to enable it you can just go back into the setup page of the router and enable the broadcast again.

  • Comcast Arris Modem/Router interfering with AirPort Extreme?

Constantly getting knocked off the internet. Using an Arris Modem/Router  TG862G
    and an Apple Airport Router.
    3 feet separate each router.
Am I getting knocked off the internet; because my AirPort Extreme  is "confusing" my Arris Modem? Could interference cause internet disconnections?
Or is it likely something else?
    Thanks

I had this same exact issue occur when I connected a printer to my Time Capsule, literally unplug everything from the router i.e. printer, computer, etc. etc. and wait a few minutes. Then re-plug all the peripherals (try different ports, except the LAN ) and see if that solves your wifi issue. If not, then unplug the router and just "give it a rest" then re-plug everything. If that doesn't work then defineitely try a hard reset or see if one of your connected devices is interfering with the network. In my case it was the printer that screwed up my connection and not the modem. I would also try switching LAN ports on the modem and see if that helps.
    Hope this helps!

  • Wireless Router issues with MacBook Pro and Windows XP laptops

    hello,
I have a d-link wireless router and I have a MacBook Pro and a Windows XP laptops. My issue is that I have to keep rebooting either the router or the modem (which I both replaced) and it still does not work right. Now can mac and windows work simultaneously through a wireless router (d-link) with no issues?

My problem is that every time I log off either computer, and when I start it back up up again I have to reconfigure all over again for both laptops to get connected to the internet. I called the d-link people and they pretty much said if i still had problem to go their web sites and download their firmware (which I have that version) so I am running out of options because I just can't turn either of them on with out reconfiguring it. Now I am using WPA on them. Could that be the issue? But right now I do not know. This is my first mac and I am getting a little irritated by this. Overall I like the mac except for this little issue. Does that help?

Will a NAS Plugged into a Non-Airport Wireless-N Router work with TM?
I'm looking for a backup solution for my new MacBook Air and I don't want to spend $200 extra for a Time Capsule when an NAS would do the job.
    Any guidance would be appreciated.

No. TM will not backup to any NAS other than Time Capsule

  • What wireless router works with this OS?

i have bought 2 different routers that are not compatible with this OS...anyone know what wireless router i can buy that will work with OS X Mountain Lion?

"Cisco Connect" seems to be support software which Cicso may not have updated for Mountain Lion. (It's hard to tell from the Cisco forums.)
Supposedly, many of the functions on Cisco routers can be controlled through the web interface.
Support software aside, jdcastaldo is right that the actual routing and wifi functions should be independent of the operating system of the clients.

  • WRT54GC Wireless router problem with iPod touch and Ipad

    Hi
I have a WRT54GC wireless router and both my ipod touch and ipad can connect to the network. They can both use the internet for like one minute and then the internet becomes very slow, and dies. Network connections are lost and I'm getting messages like 'can't connect to itunes' or 'lost connection with youtube'. The wireless router works fine for the laptops in the house (all windows). In the house where I live in the week (closer to my school) there is another router and i don't have the problem over there, also no problem to connect to my schools wireless network... So I think it's a combination problem of apple products and that router. I've tried a lot, like resetting network configuration, updating firmware, changing from wpa to wep1,... Anyone an idea?
    Thank you
    Bert

oh and the connection to the router isn't lost.
    Thank you

  • Linksys Wireless Router Conflicting with Wireless Keyboard and Mouse?

I am getting ready to purchase a Linksys Wireless-N Router with a PCI Wireless-N Adapter (2). Will I have a conflit with my Microsoft wireless keyboard and mouse? I have two home computers that I want to set up with a wireless router. Should I use a Linksys Wireless-N Home Router or a Linksys Wireless-N Broadband Router? Which Wireless-N PCI Adapters should I use?

No you should not have a problem with the router conflicting with the wireless keyboard/mouse.  They are on a different frequency all together from the wireless router.

  • Wireless router conflicting with Virgin SuperHub...

Not sure if anyone can help here
Recently upgraded to Virgin Media's 30Mb broadband and Superhub
This superhub is a modem and wireless router but I've had the wireless section disabled so that it acts as a modem only and that in turn is connected to my Netgear WNR2000 N300 wireless router. This is then connected to my iMAC via ethernet but runs wifi around the house for the iPad, AppleTV2 and my Marantz CR603 streaming hifi
Anyways... All of a sudde the Mac isnt able to connect to the internet; it appears that the router and superbhub seem to be conflicting each other but I'm unsure why (I'm not that technical minded when it comes to things like this sorry)
It's like the IP addresses have changed so sometimes it'll work (after everythings rebooted) but then it stops working again etc...
Does anyone have any advice or tips on this issue?
    Regards

Turn the dhcp server off in either the Virgin or the Netgear, 2 dhcp servers is one too many.

  • Router interfering with Facetime, but only on one computer

    Hey all,
I have a tricky problem here. I've been having issues with Facetime working on my desktop. It would work for a short moment (when first booted, or after turning facetime off and on again) before it would stop receiving or making calls properly. After much tinkering, I solved the issue by placing the desktop in the router's DMZ (outside of the firewall) and now it works flawlessly and can make and receive calls without any issues.
So my question is: Why is this only the case with the desktop? All the other devices I have (macbook pro, ipad, iphone) all have facetime working perfectly without the need to place them in the DMZ at all, yet the desktop is having trouble with my router?
The only difference is that the other devices are all connected through the router's Wifi while the desktop is plugged in by ethernet, if that helps at all. I just can't seem to figure out why this one device is having trouble with Facetime connected to the same router as all the other ones.
The router in question is a D-Link DIR-615.

Correction: Turns out, the same problem does occur with the Macbook Pro I have....
So basically, only the ipad and iphone seem to be able to operate flawlessly without interference. Both computers are being blocked by the router's firewall. Tried port forwarding... that didn't fix it. Only works when the computer is placed in DMZ.
So then the question is: Why both the iPad and iPhone have no issues with this but the two Macs do?

  • WRT54G Wireless Router Installation With Verizon DSL in Windows 2000

Okay, here's a question that I've got. I am trying to hook up a Linksys WRT54G router to a Verizon DSL connection that uses a Westell 6100 modem on a desktop running Windows 2000.
Can someone please give me step-by-step instructions for changing configuration settings on the Westell 6100 modem and the Linksys WRT54G modem so I can get the router working?
And don't suggest going to Linksys Technical Support, I've been on the phone with them for over 2 hours and neither one of the people I talked to was even listening to a word I was saying.

    You can follow these steps:
Make sure you are online directly from modem
Connect router, that is, connect modem to internet port on router, and one of the computer to one of the local ports on linksys router
Login to router's setup by typing http://192.168.1.1 in browser’s address bar, and typing password as "admin" and no user name
Change local ip address from 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.2.1
    Turn off modem and router
After 1 or 2 minutes turn on modem, and another 1 or 2 minutes turn on router
Now try to access internet, it will work

    Go to Solution.

Connect two routers together here.  Or go buy a $20  4 port switch and just plug it in.

  • Wireless keyboard & wireless mouse interfering with each other

    Hello,
Since I've had the mac, my wireless mouse and keyboard interfere with each other.
The mouse tracks very slowly, and I have to keep waking the keyboard.
This seems to happen when I'm using Safari and the airport.
    I have new batteries.
    Any ideas please.
Thanks for help over this very frustrating problem.
    Trump Marker.

I am having the same problem. Now, my wireless mouse sometimes works, mostly doesn't, and often sends the text into spasms (suddenly shifting to the right, or wildly highlighting passages) that require quitting Safari or Word. A few times I haven't even been able to force quit. And one time my computer started making a godawful noise, like it was wailing, until I had to shut down with the power button. I'm sooo sorry I downloaded this update and would like to hear from an Apple representative!
