hi,
I am planning to install several wireless security cams at home, and the one from linksys seemed a good choice to me.
I am looking for a specific feature that I am not able to find any explanation on. In the features I see that I am abe to watch live immages remotely, and record those live images. What I am also looking for, is that the system can automatically takes and record immages, even when I am not connected to the cam. assumethat there is a stranger in our house, I wantthose images t be recorded at a later stage so that I can see who has been there.
Is that possible with the linksys cam?

Yes,using the motion detection feature on the linksys camera it is possible...Some good linksys camera are WVC54GC,WVC54GCA,WVC80N.

Is there a wireless security camera that requires no PC, just works directly with my Mac & new Airbase ?

I briefly tested SecuritySpy and it seemed to work pretty well. If that doesn't seem to fit your needs, you search MacUpdate for something like "security camera" you'll find other applications.

I have mistakenly deleted the "Word To Go" application that came with the device. If you find anything out please share. I have flash projects (SWF) files created in Captivate 5 that play fine in Flash and Dreamweaver, but freeze up on the web in safari, firefox, opera and chrome. Even files that used to play just fine. This upgrade has been a nightmare - I have spent hours troubleshooting to no avail. It does not seem to be a problem for windows users - only macs.

Person or Group colum in the SharePoint list retrieves empty Mobile phone for some users although thoses users have Mobile Phone values in the User Proifles. This happens only for some users. For some users it shows Mobile phone for
some days and after some days it dess not show Mobile Phone though Mobile Phone entries are in the User Profiles for those users.
Appreciate any help to fix this.

According to your description, my understanding is that the person or group column retrieved an empty value for Mobile phone in SharePoint 2010.
Please go to the hidden User Information List using
http://<SiteCollectionUrl>/_catalogs/users/detail.aspx , check the value of Mobile phone.
Please go to CA->Monitoring->Review job definitions, scroll to User Profile to SharePoint Full Synchronization
and
User Profile to SharePoint Quick Synchronization, make sure they work well.

We have already Incident Management System in our Solman 7.1 .
We are using it efficiently, but we want to use it in mobile phones also(android and ios).

You need to adopt the Mobile strategy for ITSM to use this. Broadly speaking, the ITSM apps can be accessible either via internet or intranet. If you plan to use the apps outside your company network then you would need Sybase tools to enable this as shown below;

I would have thought the best place to go would be www.microsoft.com for this information.
It is not easy to integrate Windows Media into a Java application.
The phone also needs to be compatible with Microsoft applications (Windows CE) which kind of obviates the need for Java entirely.

When using the iPhone with the Windows OS, you need to have the Apple Mobile Device Service running. It should start automatically when you start the computer, but sometimes things happen. Use this support document to try and restart the service. See if that helps.

Hi all. I want to set up an outdoor web/security cam and a wireless model would be ideal, as I want to be able to put it in different locations.
There seem to be many PC-compatible wireless cameras, but are there any which are compatible with the Mac OS? I don't really want to get into Boot Camp / Parallels territory if possible.

Wireless IP Security Camera for Mac

We have an unfotrunate situation with a neighbor and need a wireless IP camera to work with our apple airports. Does anyone have any recomendations for a camera we can plug into the usb port in our car and record the video onto our mac? I've looked at many cameras on google but am confused. We need something to record overnight in a lighted parkade from inside our car window. This mightbe another way to put our apple products to good use if it can be done. Thanks, Sue

Enterprise solution for Mobile phones using Wi-Fi

We are working in a building where we do not get mobile phone coverage ie cannot get signals at all from our telcos
We recently bought a lot of APs ie AIR-CAP3502I-N-K9 + WLC and start deploys wireless around our building for data.
Just wondering what alternative solutions or software we can use so we can somehow get our users' mobile to work.

If I read correctly, Cisco has started implementing 802.11u with the soon-to-be-release WLC firmware code 7.3.X called Mobile Concierge.
I am not sure about how to get this running but I hope this two links I've posted will get you to work.
Unfortunately, I am also not sure how mobile phone carriers will like this if mobile phones will go to an Enterprise wifi instead of their own network.

110 Wireless Security Camera Solution

There are some challenges in reaching a 110 camera solution. Things you need to plan for with a Cisco Small Business solution:
* You have two options for the wireless camera. WVC210 & WVC2300. For security applications include low-light & no-light (with IR illuminators) conditions, the best option is the WVC2300. You can also customize the lens on the WVC2300 to match your field of view needs for each individual camera. Both WVC210 and WVC2300 are indoor cameras. If you need cameras outdoors, the PVC2300 and PVC300 are excellent options which support POE.
* For management software, all the cameras come with SWVMS16. This has the ability to manage, view, record, and playback 16 cameras at once. For a 110 camera solution, you'd need to deploy 7 windows computers running SWVMS16. Technically feasible, but managing each application would a burden. If you can break down the monitoring into sections/categories that might make this step easeier. Even the common 3rd party Video Management Software from ONSSI, Nuuo, & Milestone don't scale to 110 cameras without having to buy their enterprise level central management system software.
* Besides the video management software, you'll need enough storage capacity to store the video. This will depend on the complexity of the video stream (how well the codec can compress the data), resolution, and frames per second. If we assume 250Kbps per camera x 110 cameras = 27500 Kbps total. You'd need over 6TB of storage to hold just under 21 days of video. You'll want to make sure the data is protected in a NAS or server with RAID. You'll also need to make sure the NAS or server can handle the incoming bandwidth. If not you'll need multiple storage devices.
* You need wireless access points that can handle the number of clients and bandwidth needed. Will depend on physical layout of the 110 cameras.
* You need switches to connect all the access points to the network.
There is definitely alot to define in a solution this large.

Security camera for area with no power

Thats going to be a tough one (really).
You can use solar power and a wireless bridge in the camera to connect back to your storage device or use a SD card in the camera to store the video, but then you will need to swap the SD card to retrieve the video. So you can get solar powered cameras. The issue is lighting the area after dark. If you want overt security you will have to put up lighting in the area. If you want covert security you will need to get a camera that is sensitive to IR light then flood the area with IR light, which also takes power. It would be easier to pull off if you could get AC mains in that area first then work on the right camera and lighting for the area.

We have a lot that we store cars on sometimes that has no lights and no power. Recently we've had some vandalism and we'd like to get some security cameras on that area. Any suggestions?
