Wireless Skype IP camera

Hello hardware community,
I hope this is not construed too much as advertising but wanted to share since this is relevant to Skype Hardware. My team and I have been working on an IP camera that uses Skype. We received 'plugged into Skype' certification a few months ago and we are launching this product right now. The product details are on an Indiegogo campaign.

You can put the camera anywhere via wifi or ethernet-home, office to watch pets babies, or warehouse. you then view it via Skype on desktop, smartphone, etc.
Anyways this is a Skype focused community and would love to hear any feedback from people on this product or concept.

Skype should invent a wireless camera with a wireless mic so the person talking can be walking around and follow them with an auto video feed. The reason I suggest this my wife and I use the skpye alot and we have to carry the devce everywhere i go in the house. I'm currently deployed and this is our means of being together and just to spend time even were apart. Using the phone or tablet is for mobility but when at home we should able to just have something stationary and at all times I can see and hear also.

  • Wireless surveillance security cam

I am interested in setting up video security system on the base of my G5 (1.66 GHz). Looking for:
    1) cheap wireless solution for cam on commonly used battaries or rechargable ones
    2) with motion detector and may be sound,
    3) range up to 60-120 feet, passing thru concrete walls
    3) easy to connect to G5 (either via Bluetooth - might be too short range, or Wi-Fi but do not have the capability as for now, or some receiver device connected to G5 via USB)
Any ideas or suggestions? May be you have somthing like this already?
    Thanks

  • Skype TV Cam not delivered

I placed an order with Chat and Vision  for a VG-STC2000 Skype TV Camera through Skype prefered partner list in Australia on the 17th of  Oct 2012.  its 20 days now and after  2 follow ups they say that the consignment is damaged and ask me to wait for another 20 days.
Bad  Service from  Chat and Vision Australia.   Well i should recommend that Skype take them off the preferred partner list

    Same Thing happen here...
just bought it a few days ago, their confirmation says 2-3 days now its already 5 days.
I sent them complain but no luck.. No body responded.
I think skype should be responsible by redirecting us to a scam vendor.

  • I need a Wireless G Internet Camera for the MAC

I would like to buy a mac compatible Wireless G Internet Camera. Ive found lots of PC/Windoze ones but no mac ones... I would like it to be under $100 street price like all the PC cams...
    Any help?
    Thanks guys!

The important factor that I found for compatibility is that the camera's web server needs to be Java based, and not rely on any ActiveX Microsoft technologies. It can then be used by any browser in MacOS, Windows, and Linux.
About 4 years ago I bought a D-Link DCS-900W for around $200. It worked well out in the barn while my wife was waiting for a mare to foal. Friends all over the web were able to tune in and check out the situation.
Currently, I've seen that the D-Link DCS-920 Wireless G is available from the usual suspects all over the internet for between $70 to $90.
We found that the camera's work well if they are in a well lighted area. Low light cameras can get pricey. Don't expect real motion high def, especially if you are pushing the wireless distance limit.

  • WVC210 wireless video surveillance camera

I have a WVC210 wireless video surveillance camera which i can not access from home or cell phone.
I recently upgrade my home Comcast wireless receiver box and lost connection to my WVC210 wireless video surveillance camera.
How can I fix this problem?

    Hi Eric,
    thanks for replying back.
    1) When you said you upgraded your Comcast Wireless box, do you mean you upgraded the firmware or got a completely new Box?
I got a complete new box.
    2) Are you trying to use the camera wired or wireless?
    Wireless
    3) Are you trying to connect the camera to the Comcast box or a router? What network equipment do you have between the Comcast and the camera?
only Comcast box. It has built in WiFi
    4) If the box is (new or different than the one you originally had) did you copy over the settings from the older one?
No i did not copy over the new settings.  But I will see If can reconnect the old wifi router and copy the old settings.
    5) What lights are showing on the on the camera? What address is showing on the LED Screen?
Only the power light is on and showing a fixed IP address 192.169.1.108
    Thanks for your help.

  • Wireless Live Internet Camera

I am on a Macintosh (OSX) and recently plugged in my wireless camera again. The both the power and wireless lights are illuminated (green). There is not an installer for this product on the Macintosh. Also, the user guide download does not open fro Creative's site.
Anyone have the first steps they can share for me to start using this?
I presume I reset the device and plug it into an active ethernet connection for me to administer it....
    Any information would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Jeffster?

    Hi Jeffster,
The Wireless Live Internet Camera (Model number: 73VF0800000) is not going to work in your Mac (OSX) nor it would have an installer. • Small Sales Office with Cisco 857W and Wireless Skype Handset

I have a remote sales office which is connected to the internet via a Cisco 857W. One of the sales guys uses a Skype Wireless Handset. I am looking to improve the quality of the handset as much as I can with the local wireless network in the 857W. The handset has WMM (802.11e) and uses ports 1 (alternative ports 80 and 443). My question is how do I enable WMM (802.11e) on this router and how do I or should I give priority to these ports to improve call quality? Config file attached.
    thanks in advance,
    stuart.

  • Skype web cam

I want a web cam to use on Skype, does it have to be the isight or is there a cheaper cam that would work?

    Hi GGL,
External iSights are no longer available in the EU due to a regulation change about safe disposal.
    Your choices are:
Any Firewire DV output Camcorder (6 pin to 6 pin)
    Any Firewire web cam
Any USB Cam with Mac drivers and the iChatUSBCam utility
Check out their camera page for suggestions.
In fact iSights (external) are now in extremely short supply the world over. (No Apple store has any).
This would point to a new product or solution soon.
Rumours are not allowed to be discussed here.

  • Skype own camera view location

I have just set up Skype on a Sony Bravia TV.
Can anyone tell me how to move my camera view when in a Skype call from one corner to another corner like you can do on a tablet/ laptop/ desktop.
With my ipad I am able to put my finger on my camera view and move it around the screen but I am unsure how to move it around or even turn it off on the Sony Bravia.
    Thanks

    Hi
Unfortunately on the Sony Bravia TVs, the camera view is fixed to the bottom right hand corner of the screen
