Wireless soundblaster rem

I am looking into getting wireless speakers so that I can listen to my music around the house and use the SBWM rf remote to control my music but the range of the remote is apparently only up to 0m. Is this correct and does anyone know how to increase the range?

no. it doesn't. I have just bought one and tried the same thing. The spec says it plays mp3 320kbit files.

Do you mean you entered 3 characters to generate your WEP key? A WEP 28 key is normally represented as a string of 26 hexadecimal digits (valid hexadecimal digits are 0 through F, where decimal is 0 through 9). You may enter a passphrase to generate your hex key, that's what I did on my Netgear router, but then the actual WEP key shows up in my Key field in the router setup as a string of 26 hex digits. If you just enter 3 regular characters this represents a string of 26 hex numbers. Here's some examples of ASCII character to hex conversions; the letter -lower case "g" is a hex "67", a space " " is a hex "20", a upper case "L" is a hex "4C". It is the string of 26 hex digits that must be entered into the wireless music setup for WEP 28.

I had huge problems with my soundblaster sound card in windows7 64bit. Everyone had problems with their products in -64 bit operating system. Do You have windows 7-64 bit sound driver from manufacturer?
There seemed to be very problematic to run the best sound cards on windows 7-64 bit system and those card that work where of porer sound quality. So i had chose to go back to vista or take out my hifi wireles sound card and go with poor soundcard included in the laptop. (i refused to go back to vista so the extra sound card (pcmia hifi wireless soundblaster) i gave to my brother)
This whas when windows 7 was RC so maybe now everything ok?
I dont know if this problem still existwith sound cards and windows7-64 bit. Did Your system come with win-64 installed or have you installed it by yourself?
I should also advice you to uninstall all audio hardware and software on computer, then reboot and install sound drivers and software again. If that not work then maybe something is broken :/

Need help! (Simple question regarding Soundblaster Wireless Music)(I ho

Hey everyone, this might be a bit of a dumb n00b question but I'm having a problem with my soundblaster wireless music.
The problem is that it won't shuffle any tracks.
I have createdplaylists, populated them all very easily, but it will only play one track from each one. I have to select every single track it I want it to play manually on the remote. Using the 'Mode' button on the remote about all I can get it to do is repeat the same track over and over again.
The only way i've been able to get it to shuffle is by loading a bunch of tracks into the "Now Playing" secton of the console but that seems a little tedius and kind of what i created the playlists for in the firstplace.
Is this the way the software is supposed to function or am I missing something so simple that it will make me look dumb...

When trying to play your play list with the remote are you going into the playlist before hitting play? You need to hit play at the playlist list level, not once you'e gone into a given playlist where the songs of the playlist are listed.

Soundblaster tactic3D rage wireless problems

Hello so today i got this new headset Soundblaster tactic3D rage wireless, and after charging for 8 hours i plugged the power cable out, and inserted the usb adapter.
Everything worked fine, the sound was good. i then decided to go and download the drivers etc.
Then i tryed to install the firmware update, and i got an error where it said that it failed.
After that, my headset was completely dead, its constantly glowing red, i cant pair it with the usb adaptar, and i have tryed everything. Cant turn the headset off at all.
I have lookd around these forums but didnt really find any good answers on how i could fix this.

apparently you need to get it replaced, as the failed firmware bricked it. Only answer I found out so far. That or maybe getting a kind soul with the previous firmware to give it to you might get it working again.

Soundblaster Wireless keeps disconnecting

I just received my Soundblaster Wireless usb transmitter and receiver. Everything works nicely but the connection shuts down after a minute or so. If I click conncet from the Entertainment console or from the transmitter, the connection comes on again, but disconnects after a minute.
The transmitter and the receiver are about 3 meter away and in a line of sight between each other. I have auto-updated the software and tried auto and all three different channels.
Edit: I installed the latest Windows 7 drivers and nothing. It always plays for :28 and disconnects. Tried with the latest Media Player and Spotify.
Where is the problem?

Where did you change these settings? In Vista/Win7 power management?
Please note that such settings can be changed there too.
Additionally its recommended to update the WLan driver and checking if the BIOS is up to date.

Soundblaster Wireless Music - receiver is connected but no so

I have a SB Wireless music receiver (purchased in March '05).
It was working just fine for 3 months, then nothing. After several attempts reistalling, rebooting, etc (including several emails back and forth with Creative Americas Cusotmer Support, it was determined that my receiver might be defecti've. I was given an RMA#, I returned the receiver (under warranty), and got it back yesterday.
I am experiencing the SAME problem I was experiencing before I sent it in (see below).
My wireless receiver IS DEFINTITELY communicating through my wireless router, as I can clearly see my library, playlists, etc. on the RF remote display. When I try to play music, I can access my library, playlists, etc. I select a track and hit the play button. Everything shows up on the remote display, but the counter is not counting, e.g. 00:00:00 is displayed in the upper left hand corner of the RF, and consequently, I get no sound from my stereo, and yes, it IS connected correctly via the RCA cables.

Windows doesnt detect SoundBlaster wireless tactic 3d v2.0

Even though I said in the title that windows doesnt detect it that isnt entirely correct but it would have cluttered the title even further so today I bought this headset and im trying to get it to work so a few informations would help:
I use windows 64 bit windows 7 home edition
The wireless adapter and the headset have no problem conecting to each other, I also hear a little ding in those headsets once the connection is established, by either restarting the pc, plugging the wireless connecter off and on again or pressing a couple of seconds on the connect or the mute button.
In the auto updater from creative I can see both the headset and the adapter and it says that all drivers are uptodate.
Now to the problems:
In the device manager off windows I can see the SB Tactic 3D Rage Wireless however it has an exclamation mark next to it, but trying to update the driver there tells me it is already updated.
I do not see the headset in the windows audiosettings, however if I use a different headset and change the volume with the wireless one the volume does change(of cause of the other headset, the wireless one never plays any sounds besides the connection and the sound change)
Hope someone could help me there, the headset feels quite nice would be great if it would work

Im sorry but trying to edit main post seems to not work when I try to click on save nothing happens :/ so heres an update:
so apparently it now tells me that 100.84 mb of drivers are missing I assume thats almost all of them, without me touching anything related to headsets in the meanwhile, I had that happen before so I doubt that reinstalling the drivers will help but Im going to do that later anyway - however I will have to do it manually because if I press accept on the liscence agreement it sends me to an empty Internet explorer page(which is not my main browser)

Soundblaster Wireless setup prob

This is driving me nuts as I have had this problem since I bought the **bleep** thing 2 years ago but apparently the problem doesnt officially exist..
In trying to alter the network settings, I go through all the steps, the program attempts to communicate with the device and just comes back with "communication error".
It's not a cable problem, it doesnt appear to be a firewall / security problem - I can do this a few dozen times and it will suddenly spontaneously work - although on this occasion I've so far racked up about 60 attempts and it still just wont change settings..
Any suggestions?

Hi, as i said before i cant pair the devices, i conect the receiver and it didnt pair automatically, y press foward and rewind to reset and it didnt pair either, i try pairing them manually by pressing the led on the card and the conect bottom of the back of the receiver, nothing they both tilt and they dont find each other. Anyone has this problem before? i have windows vista 32 home basic, that might be it's is the receiver sn 70sb084000005 not compatible with the express 54(notebook slot)?xfi sound card?

It may be because the X-Fi Wireless Recei'ver is not compatible with the X-Fi Notebook. From the product page at creative site http://sg.creative.com/products/product.asp?category=209&subcategory=843&product=8 094&listby=, it seems like the Creative Wireless Recei'ver is the correct receiver for X-Fi Notebook.. X-Fi Wireless Recei'ver is more for Xmod Wireless. If this is true, I hope you can still exchange the receiver from where you bought it for the correct one.

I checked the lierature for system requirements and it only lists Win98 or newer, no mention of Mac. Maybe a CL person would comment on possible future plans. Typically they won't comment on unannounced products though.

Soundblaster creative tactic3D Rage wireless headset, Having problem charging

Just bought the headset installed all the software and charged them for the 8 hours.
Now the USB-chord (the charger) won't connect to the headset when I plug them in.
The USB is plugged in directly to the computer but as soon as they are plugged to the headset i get this message (USB Device Not Recognized)
I got w7 if that helps
EDIT: It helped when i used a USB adapter directly into a power outlet but not into the computor

Soundblaster Rage Wireless headset, strange problem

i was playing a game when the headset just startet to reboot and continued to reboot when it got connected to the usb stick again, the headset have been stuck in a reboot cycle for the past 24 hours.
anyone got an ide of what to do?
tried to update the firmware on the stick but it failed and now the stick is dead.

I have found two threads with similar problems, maybe you can try the solutions other users tried. One user tried discharging the headset battery and it worked, the other tried to remove the battery in the headset and put it back and it worked.

Soundblaster Wireless Internet Stream

It is true that the mediasource/ media server software does not handle internet streaming, however, you can use winamp with the streamripper plugin and record li've streaming from the internet in your hard dri've, then put the file being recorded by winamp into your media server "now playing" list and you'll be able to listen to li've streaming (the file will be written and read simultaneously).
Just give the ripper about a minute head start before starting the playback so the streaming won't have "hickups"

Lamj's answer is the only practical reply. Wifi is greatly affected by its surroundings. Try moving it as much as you can, up on a table, on the floor etc. can you get a cable to extend the distance you can movemthe hub?
Is the hub using 2.4 g or 5.0 gig band? I understand that 2.4 is a little slower, but goes through obstructions better than the 5 gig band.
You can also get a repeater, which amounts to a range extended by putting a second router into the system. But play with your location ofmthe hub first.
There is nothing you can do with the pad.
