Wireless Training/Certification

I am interested in training courses for wireless certifications and would like to throw my question out there. I understand there is certification for CWNA non-vendor specific certication, Cisco certifications for wireless, and AirMagnet courses which I assume are more inclined to teach towards their product.
What is everyones opinion on these 3 different teaching methods, is one better over the other?
My goal is to be savvy in the Cisco world with the WISM, WLC, and WCS. I also need to learn how to operate AirMagnet's complex survey tool and SpecAnalyzer, and I dont want to limit myself to just Cisco which is why the CWNA interests me...
Any thoughts?

Well, on the positive side, none of them are exclusive; you can learn them all, and knowing one will likely assist you in understanding the other two.
IMO, assuming you're starting basically from scratch, you should start with the CWNA, then Cisco, then the Airmagnet course, if you feel you need it at the time.
My rational is this: The Planet3 books and course materials are excellent (they also have Professional and Security ... CWAP and CWSP which includes education for using wireless 'sniffers').
If you begin there, you will learn the fundememtal and foundational concepts, and have some good references.
Following that with Cisco wireless training will permit you to build on the foundational concepts ans show you how Cisco adapted / adopted the concepts to implement their product, and the scope of applications appropriate for their product offering.
By the time you've completed the above courses, you should have a pretty solid understanding of the technologies, protocols, and nuts& bolts ...
At that point, you may find the CWSP and / or CWNP training more useful, they show you many of the various tools and software used for wireless diagnostics and security management and in-depth understanding of the protocols.
The Airmagnet training is probably useful (I haven't seen it, got it, or read about it), depending on the content: Does it cover interpretation, or just a "how to use" and description of features?
My point is that until you understand the underlying protocols and technologies, a tool that requires interpretation of the results will do you no good. Even if the device has "expert software" to assist with the interpretation, it doesn't cover everything, and you'd have no basis to understand if the presented interpretation by the expert software seems "reasonable."

SAP SD + CRM training & certifications

Dear all,
I am new to this forum & i am interested in getting through SAP SD and SAP CRM certifications, i am a little confused about the timeline for the courses, i will break my doubts into points:
1) Is SAP SD training/certification necessary in order to go through CRM training?
2) What kind of functional experience is necessary for both the certifications? How does inside sales profile (with exposure to CRM system) stand as far as domain experience is concerned?
3) Should i go for Back to back training's of SD & CRM or should i work in SD profile for some time & then opt for CRM? How will the back to back training affect, both positively as well as negatively?
4) Also, instead of SDCRM, will SDMM or SD+PP certification path be better? (i only have sales & marketing exp, no MM or PP exp)
5) I noticed that CRM course is Instructor based & it is for 15 days, other functional courses such as SD,MM,FI etc are 25 days, what might be the difference?
6) The CRM course is quite expensive, INR 3,30,000 ($7000+), is it worth to invest in an authorized CRM program?
7) Apart from the authorized training programs, where else can i get additional knowledge on SD & CRM? Also, i believe that its difficult to know all the business processes in your respective domain, how can i enhance my knowledge on this?
8) What is the difference between CRM 7 & CRM 2007 certifications?
i know i have asked a lot of questions under one post, but i would really appreciate advice on these questions

SAP PS Training & Certification Query

Is SAP HCM training/certification worth taking a risk and money?

I am based in one of the metro cities and have around 5 years of experience in HR-Recruitment field, current working with a big5 consulting firm. I sense a very slow career growth in my field and am planning to go for a SAP HCM certification. I checked with ATOS and they are charging a whopping amount of 4 Laks.
The amount is very high and also I fear of losing my current role. I am unable to decide shall I go ahead with my plan or shall I continue doing my current job.

I was also have 6 years of functional experience before coming into this field. I took a drop of one year, and studied for certification. I was based in a small town where there was just one good company into SAP. So I joined that, gained good knowledge and learned how to deal with the clients. Worked there for 3 years at a low salary (it was quite low. But in metros you have good options, so you might expect more, and this was 4 years back, so that time in small town like Indore, the salary was very low as compared to Indore). Now I am in Mumbai, and earning a very good package. It surely takes time, but within this span of time, your money will be refunded to you. If you get a good branded company, it can be repaid within a year.
So, I would suggest, do try for this, and clear your certification, which will give you added advantage. Do not bother if you get a small company at an initial level. Rather I would suggest to try for a small company first, as you get to learn a lot from there. In MNC, you will have limited scope. But if you go for a small company at an initial level, your learning will be good. But yes, package will be less. I feel at initial stage in SAP career, package should not be the constraint. If you do your work sincerely, and honestly, you definately get paid in future with a good reward.
So I would suggest, do go for the certification. If you cannot afford the classroom training, go for online training (which I had also done), it might be cheaper than the classroom training.

Cisco wireless specialists certification

last month I passed my CCDA and Cisco Lfecycle exam for wireless LAN.
Now I should receive 2 certificates: CCDA and Cisco Advanced Wireless LAN implementation specialist.
I received the CCDA certificate but no e-mail or certificate about Cisco Advanced Wireless LAN implementation specialist.
When I look into my profile, I'm Cisco Advanced Wireless LAN implementation specialist.
Why don't I receive any certificate?
Do I need to submit a support case at the Certification Support Center?

Need guidance regarding Oracle Training/Certification !!

I have good interest in Oracle, but I think that I am not being able to give good shape to my career wrt Oracle.
I have done Oracle 9i OCA certification.
I need to know which trainings should I attend/go-for to enable me to do and extract good things from Oracle.
Till now, I have gained knowledge and experience in PL/SQL. I have no experience, but do have knowledge of DBA stuff.
I need to provide a list of desired Oracle trainings to my manager so that he can arrange for them.
Also, which certifications are beneficial for me.
The help provided will be highly appreciable.

Need Help -- SCJP Training / Certification

I am a Master's Student @ IIIT, Hyderabad. I am planning to take my SCJP examination in the month of October. Could anyone of you suggest any ideas for preparation and duration assuming me as a tyro in Java. Preferred Books and any other info. Is SCJP 1.4 preferrable or 5.0.
And also , it would be more helpful if you could tell me if there are any worth institutes that offer training for the certification in Hyderabad, India.

if you wants to prepare scjp1.4 khalid mughal is sufficient but if you wants to try for scjp5.0 kathy sierra is good as khalid doesn't covers some latest topics from
scjp5.0 curriculum like AUTOBOXING,STATIC IMPORTS etc.

Those books that you 'found' are classroom textbooks; and they are generally only made available to students who are taking the underlying class.
For these classes, SAP loads data into their training systems that support the classroom curricula, prior to the start of each class.
So, the easy answer is "take the SAP class". If you take the class, SAP will provide you with a new copy of the course material, and once you are in the classroom, you are generally provided with access to their training system, which is consistent with the course material.

Wireless training

Looking for some training on the 2500 series controller and 1142 or 1040 AP's preferably. I have called all the Cisco numbers I can find with no luck.

As for nerd knob specifics. After you have your WLC up and running start to deep dive each item. Read the config guide, google and support forums.

OTA_NOTRNG_HISTORIES_V -- supposedly stores external training history, is this the right one for external training ?
OTA_CTRNG_HISTORIES_V -- stores combined training history , how to pick 'Internal' history from this view , if this is the right one ?
OTFV_COMBINED_TRAINING_HISTORY -- stores combined training history , how to pick 'Internal' history from this view , if this is the right one?
