Wireless/Wi-Fi Adapter

Hello!
I have downgraded my HP 2000 Notebook-PC-2C21NR to Win7 Enterprise 64-bit and the wireless was working fine then it just stopped.  I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling several of the drivers that I saw on other post but the light is still red.
Please send me the link that I need to resolve this issue.
Thanks!

No wonder it didn't work...
Try the latest driver from Mediatek...
PCIe (RT2790/ RT309X/ RT35X2/ RT539X/ RT3290/ MT7630)
4/15/2014
V5.0.46.0
Win7 32/64 Win8 32/64 Win8.1 32/64
If that doesn't work, you are probably going to have to reinstall W7.

  • Problems with Wireless Router and Adapter

I tried posting this in the wireless adapter forum but nobody responded :-(
    I'm using a WRT54G Router btw, and the firmware is v2.02.7, Feb. 27, 2004.
    Hi everyone,
I have a Linksys Wireless G Router and several computers that I try to connect with. One of them is a computer running Windows XP and using a Linksys Wireless USB B Adapter (WUSB11). Another is a laptop running Mandriva Linux using a Linksys Instant Wireless Network PC Card (WPC11). Another one is running Windows Vista and using a Linksys Wireless N card. I also have a laptop running Windows XP using a Linksys Wireless-G Notebook Adapter (WPC54G).  I also have another PC running Windows XP and uses a Linksys Wireless USB Adapter WUSB54G. Finally, I have two macintosh laptops running OSX and with airport devices installed.
Anyway, I have problems with my internet connection frequently being interrupted and even sometimes I won't have a connection at all for hours. This occurs with my Linux laptop, the PC with the Wireless B Adapter, and the laptop using the Wireless G Notebook Adapter. In addition to this, the macintosh laptops have internet even more infrequently. However, I seem to never have a problem with the Windows Vista desktop or the Windows XP desktop that has the Wireless G adapter. I try repairing the connection and often it does not work. I have also tried resetting the router and the cable modem. I'm not sure what else I can do. I even bought a Wireless N router and had little success with that. We even went as far as moving the wireless router upstairs into our living room, thinking that the signal was somehow suffering from interference or that distance was a factor. Anyway, sorry for the long post but I could really use some help!
    Thanks.

Hi… logon to wireless N router’s setup page, open I.E. an in the address bar type 192.168.1.1 it would ask for username and password, put "admin" as a paassword (default password) without any username...linksys setup pops up, click on on wireless tab and and try changing radio band to wide 40MHz, wide channel to 9 and wireless standard channel to 1 or 11, go to advanced wireless settings reduce beacon interval to 50, fragmentation and RTS threshold to 2304, change N Transmission rate to 270 MBps…also try upgrading latest firmware on router, check whether it makes any difference or not and let me know.

  • Can't find Network using a Linksys WUSB54G Wireless-G USB Adapter with a linksys WRT150N router????

Hello.....I just recently bought a linksys WRT150N router and am having problems connecting a computer that uses a Linksys WUSB54G Wireless-G USB Adapter. This computer's operating system is windows 2000 and it cannot find the network I setup.....Even when I double checked that the router was in mixed mode.....Can anybody help?

I am having a similar problem with my WUSB54GC adapter connecting to my WRT54G router 100 feet away with only a single stud wall in between.  Sometimes the computer connects automatically and sometimes I have to restart windows or use the repair connection wizard to get the computer to connect.  Using Windows XP and Mixed infrastructure network with SSID broadcasting disabled.

  • IOGEAR Wireless USB Print Adapter (Bluetooth)

    Hi
I just bought the IOGEAR Wireless USB Print Adapter (Bluetooth) model GBP201 but can not pair it with my Mac Book Pro. Contacted IOGEAR and they say Mac does not support Bluetooth printing. I am not about to believe that! Does anyone have any helpful information on the subject? Thanks

I'm not familiar with that device, but I doubt that it advertises itself over Bonjour, so you would have to select the IP tab in the printer Add dialog, enter the IP address, and choose either LPD or IPP for the protocol (either one might work.)

  • UB11B Wireless 11b USB Adapter - PC Crashes

    PC Crash (BlueScreen) /  UB11B Wireless 11b USB Adapter (ms 6823) :
Purchased 3 (three) of these devices to configure a wireless lan in home environment. Both of these devices are configured as follows:
    Proc: AMD
    OS:  Windows XP Pro
Since the nstallation both of the PC are crashing (BlueScreen) quite often. This was an rare event befre these devices were nstalled.
Crash seem to have been causedby
    ms6823.sys or NDIS .
This becoming annoyace and may resut in damaged har drive/ Loss of data. And MSI is not getting good reputation.
Help from any souce FORUM members and/ or MSI staff WILL BE greaely pprecaited.

    Hi everyone,
I also encountered the same problem or even worst.
    Here are the details below.
    System:
Intel S875WP1-E entry serverboard latest bios P14.
    Intel Pentium4 3.06 Ghz
    2x 256MB DDR
    2x 120GB Seagate SATA HDD - RAID1
    1x 40X CDROM
    1x Generic floppy
Windows XP Professional + SP1 + security patch.
    1x UB11B Wireless 11b USB Adapter (ms 6823).
    Drivers tried:
Original drivers came with the CD.
    Latest from MSI support site.
As long as the UB11B is physically connected to the server and regardless it is hook up to an AP or not, the system will just go to BSOD without any reason. And this will happen just within 15 minutes
When server crashes, I always need to rebuild my array. I also encountered the same error as the NDIS.sys but not all the time. And sometimes other xxxxxx.sys files.
Alternatively, I used Intel PRO/Wireless 2011B LAN USB device. And it was working perfectly.
Can anyone from MSI support provide some inputs.  We really can not use this MSI UB11B on this server.
Maybe there's any beta driver or firmware that we can use for this BSOD problem. We will be glad to try it.
    Thanks,
    George

  • Linksys Wireless-G PCI Adapter w/Speedb or Linksys Wireless-G USB Network A

I am currently using a Linksys Wireless-G Broadband router on my G4. The PC in the house is using a Wireless-G PCI Adapter w/Speedbooster. Both machines connect to the internet without issue.
I am adding a new G5 to the mix. I plan on using the router on the G5. I plan on purchasing a wireless adapter/card for the G4. Will the Linksys Wireless-G PCI adapter work on a Mac G4? How about the Linksys Wireless-G USB Network Adapter? How about other manufacturers products?
Any assistance will be appreciated. I will need to move work files from the G4 to the G5 ASAP.
    Thanks.
    G5 2.3GHz & G4 355 MHz Mac OS X (10.4.6)

    Hi there
Before thinking about wireless cards for the Mac (a minefield!) you can hook your G4 up to the G5 using Target Disk Mode. See this:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=58583
You can then transfer what you need from the G4 to the G5 even before the G4 is back on your network.
As for wireless cards, here is a list of supposedly compatible cards:
    http://home.earthlink.net/~metaphyzx/Wireless.htm
However, approach with caution as manufacturers change the chips on these cards without warning. If you can't get hold of an original airport card, then the safest bet would be to go for a Sonnet Aria Extreme, made by a company that specialises in Mac products (I have no affiliation by the way). It's not the cheapest wireless PCI card out there but it is one of the few guaranteed to work with a Mac. Hope this helps.

  • LinkSys Wireless-N USB Adapter

I just purchased a LinkSys Wireless-N USB Adapter (WUSB300N), and I was wondering how to get it to work with Mac OS X 10.4.10? I have searched the LinkSys site and Google for drivers for this product, but none have been made. I was also wondering, if my product does not work with Mac, if there is any other wireless USB adapter that is compatible with Mac OS X?

If it needs to be USDB, this is the only one I found...

  • Linksys Wireless-G Notebook Adapter with SpeedBooster

Anyone get the Linksys Wireless-G Notebook Adapter with SpeedBooster WPC54GS to work with their Mac?
      Mac OS X (10.4.8)   iLife 6

Yes. I have Linksys WPC54GS version 1.1 (with the Broadcom chipset) running OS 10.3.9. I believe version 2.0 also uses the Broadcom chipset, but I do not know if that is the same for version 2.1.
BTW: I originally used a Linksys wireless router but a year ago changed to the Belkin Pre-N Router F5D8230-4.

  • Do I get a wireless card or adapter? Do I update firmware or software?

I am about to use wireless internet for the first time and I don't really know what I'm doing.
    1) We have cable high-speed internet with an 11g router. I need a wireless card or adapter. (is there a difference between card and adapter?) Looking for them online, it's often hard to tell which ones will work with my system. Any suggestions will be very helpful.
    2) I am also wondering if I need to update AirPort Setup Assistant. I have version 3.4. Also, do I need a firmware update and, if so, what version and where I would get it?
Any other suggestions about going wireless will be appreciated.

As for my computer model, her is everything System Profile says about the hardware:
    Machine Model: Power Mac G4
    CPU Type: PowerPC G4 (2.9)
    Number Of CPUs: 2
    CPU Speed: 450 MHz
L2 Cache (per CPU): 1 MB
    Memory: 512 MB
    Bus Speed: 100 MHz
    Boot ROM Version: 4.2.8f1
    Serial Number: XA1020G5K53
    Sales Order Number: 0100339025XA1020G51234123412341234
Responding to suggestions mentioned above: From what I have read, a bridge will only work with another bridge. (and the link you provided was for a device that only worked with Windows).
I am trying to connect to a router. Surely, there is an Airport card that will work with my computer. Airport software comes with the Panther installation CD's. I just updated my Airport software to version 4.2.
As I understand it, I could also use a USB Wireless Adapter. Is this an option instead of an Airport card, or do I still need the card?
And I don't understand what Airport firmware is for. For an Airport card, or is it for an Airport router, and irrelevant unless I get an Apple router (like the Airport Express)?
    Any suggestions will be appreciated.

  • How to use a high power wireless-n usb adapter

I recently purchased a kinamax high power wireless-n USB 2.0 adapter to boost my wifi signal. The data range is 802.11n. The only problem is that I can't use the adaptor. The box says that the supported OS is MAC OS X. But when I connect the adapter nothing happens. There is not even sign that the USB adapter is connected. Can anyone help me?

    Hi Kelvin,
I understand that you want to control pins on your serial port using LabVIEW. Since you are using Windows XP, only LabVIEW version 7.0 will be able to control the pins. The pins can be controlled by modifying the values of the access registers that windows associates with each pin. If you are using LabVIEW 7.0, then the VI's located on the Funtions >> Advanced >> Port I/O palette should help you assign values to the proper pins.

  • Wireless Internet network adapter

I recently got an internet adapter for a USB port because I don't have a airport card. The problem is the setup in Internet connect, I"m just not sure how I know I have the configurations correct. The adapter has cd startup, but is only for pc. I downloaded the drivers, and in ZydasWlan the utilty for the adapter, I see the connection and it shows the strength and varying connection, so I can see the wireless network, but can't connect. I'm using a Hawking mini wireless-G USB network adapter. HWU54G is the model type. In internet connect, what happens with the setting changes, and in the network under system preference, how do I know if I need to set up the TCP/IP or PPP? Thanks to anyone that can help.

I have exactly the same problem as you do with my Ibook G3, I am using a Belkin wireless G adapter, the first time I plugged it in and installed the driver from the net it connected and was great, I ran software update and updated itunes as a test and it worked like a dream but ever since I restarted then it is having the same problem, the Belkin is talking to the wireless router and there is a good connection but Safari will not show a web page, keeps saying I'm not connected to the internet?? Pulling my hair out trying to get it to work, all I have on my ibook is a fresh OS X.4, Any help will be greatly appreciated, I know it must work as I have sat there and got on to the net with it and downloaded, just can't understand why it now won' t work.

  • What should I download as the wireless LAN driver/adapter

When I search for a wireless LAN driver in the hp site there are 8 or more wireless LAN drivers/adapters under different names. I do not know what exactly I need. please help me. I downloaded Mediatek 802.11wireless LAN adapter driver but I couldn't connect to any other laptop's wifi hotspot. Sometimes it says "Connecting to the connecting to the network is taking longer than usual".Because of this I can not play LAN games. I know the connection is limited but connecting to the network should be fast and there should not be any problem with it.

Hi there ,  Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome! This is a great site to get answers and ask questions.  I understand that you are looking to find out which Wireless LAN driver you should download for your Wireless Adapter. If you look under your device manager, what does it say under Network Adapters ?  You can right click on the Network Adapter it lists and click Update Driver Software right there. Do you have any exclamations marks or red x's? Your could also use the HP Support Assistant to make sure that all of your updates have been done. That would put the proper driver in also.  If you want to use the HP Pavilion 15-n240tx Notebook PC Driver Webpage, all you have to do is find out what the name of your Network Adapter is in your Device Manager. (Picture above) Please follow these provided troubleshooting steps, re-post and let me know how everything went. Thank you! Have a great day!

  • Ultra 40 m2 wireless network and adapter

I got a ultra 40 m2 with solaris on it for use at my house. I only have a wireless network setup.
What is the best wireless network adapter for the x86 sun?
Any issues I need to be aware for installation and setup?
    thanks
    j.

    Hello,
please review the HCL. If there are no adapters listed, get a Access Point/Wireless Ethernet Adapter which attaches to the ethernet port.
E.g. the Asus WL-330g or newer
    http://www.ehomeupgrade.com/2004/07/22/asus-wl-330g-access-pointwireless-ethernet-adapter/
The link to the Asus page from the article didn't work (maybe only temporarily)
    http://usa.asus.com/products/communication/wireless/wl-330g/overview.htm
Another alternative is to review the posts in the OpenSolaris forums (laptop for Cardbus/PCMCIA, x86 for general support). I don't know if Solaris supports wireless out of the box and if the wireless drivers from OpenSolaris work with the current (older) Solaris release.

  • Wireless PC card adapter

    Hello,
my PB G4 stopped working and Apple said it's the logic board which has problems with the Airport card. Since replacing the logic board was far too expensive for a machine 5 years old, they gave me back the PB w/o the wireless card.
So I started to look for a PCMCIA wireless card. It's a nightmare. The Rome Apple store said they haven't any, and told me to buy a D-link somewhere else. I bought one, the 645n, which wasn't of any use, no way to find a driver for Mac. I read somewhere that the D-link DWL-G650 is Apple compatible, and it is, although with a third party driver (Orangeware) which by the way doesn't support WPA encryption, which I need.
I can't believe it's so difficult to make a PC-Card wireless adapter work on a PB.
If anyone has some suggestions, they're welcome,
    thanks,
    Francesco

Hi, Francesco. I don't know whether the following cards are available in Italy, but they all work just as easily in Powerbooks as the Apple cards do, and they give greater range:

  • Wireless(g) USB Adapter

Can anyone recommend a USB dongle that will work with OSX10.4? I would like to share my wifi with my G3 iBook and can't find much on this subject, surprisingly.

The USB wireless adapters require you to install drivers. These drivers are usually only compatible with some versions of the Mac OS and are prone to failure if you change the configuration of your Mac.
So, I recommend something that works 100% of the time instead of something that is cheap and will cause frustration.
