Wireless workgroupbridge not working

I have just installed new equipment on a site.
2 buildings have there connection using a wireless bridge
This wireless bridge consists of 2 x 2602 Autonomous AP's.
Switch 1 <--> AP1  << wireless >> AP2<-->Switch 2
AP1 is configured as follows:
dot11 ssid WGB
   vlan 10
   authentication open
   authentication key-management wpa version 2
   infrastructure-ssid
with also under de d0 interface
 station-role root
 infrastructure-client
AP2
has the following configuration
dot11 ssid WGB
   vlan 10
   authentication open
   authentication key-management wpa version 2
   infrastructure-ssid
and under de d0 interface the command
station-role workgroup-bridge
I can ping AP2 from Switch1 but i cannot ping Switch2 from Switch1.
From AP2 i can ping Switch1, AP1 and users in VLAN 10 also i can ping Switch2 from AP2 so this seems to have full connectivity.
From Switch2 i can only ping AP2 ( it is directly connected)
Switch2 does learn the MAC addresses from all the clients connected to Switch1 but cant ping them(AP2 can)

The VLAN's used are VLAN10 & 320.
VLAN10 is used for the wireless bridge but also for the corporate network.
I checked the configuration a bunch of times and im really stuck.
I tested it in my lab and it seemed to work their, the only difference is that Switch2 is a different 2960.
Appreciate the help!

Did some more testing today.
Was actually hoping it wouldnt work when i plugged it allin in the lab but it did function fine.
The only difference is Switch 2 in the lab is a Cisco 2960S 24PS-L running IOS
c2960s-universalk9-mz.122-55.SE5/c2960s-universalk9-mz.122-55.SE5.bin
At the site where it wasnt working Switch 2 was a 2960 24TC-L running IOS
c2960-lanbasek9-mz.122-50.SE5/c2960-lanbasek9-mz.122-50.SE5.bin
Unfortunately i cant test it with that exact IOS and hardware since i dont have that available.
But that shouldnt make a difference right ?

    Hello,
    I am having hp pavilion dv6-6165tx notebook, where keyboard having a wireless button that turns ON and OFF all wireless devices, After upgrading to windows 8.1, HP Connection Manager is not getting installed, as well as Key is not working, key color turns red and white but no action is performed.
    Kindly suggest me some solution.
    Note: HP Doesn't provide drivers for windows 8/8.1 ONLY WINDOWS 7 for hp pavilion dv6-6165tx.
    Thanks.

    Hi @Jayesh_Bhadja ,
    Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have looked into your issue about your HP Pavilion dv6-6165tx Notebook and the Wireless keyboard not working correctly. Here is a link to troubleshoot the keyboard.
    The HP Connection Manager is something that is for Windows 7 not Windows 8.1. I would uninstall this from your Notebook.  Here is a link to the HP Support Assistant if you need it. Just download and run the application and it will help with the software and drivers on your system that need updating. It has a troubleshooting tool in this.
    Make sure all your updates have been completed. I would try restarting my Notebook a few times.
    If that does not help I would uninstall the keyboard from the Device manager.
    Thanks.

  • HP 5524 Wireless does not work after firmware upgrade

    HI,
    I have just purchased an HP5524.  After initial problems setting up the WPA key from the printer screen, I connected via USB, found the printer and swapped to wireless successfuly. I then installed the printer software on all my computers at home successfully over wireless.
    The printer then needed a firmware upgrade to support eprint (?), which is successfully connected, downloaded the fireware, installed and went through the boot cycles successfully.
    However, ever since wireless will not work.  Before I return it to the retailer as "not fit for purpose" I thought I would ask the forum.  The diagnostics downloaded a tool, which I went through, but this did not offer solutions that I had not already tried.
    Thank you

    Hi,
    Thank you for posting you query,
    In order to resolve the issue, please make sure the printer is placed closer to the router and uninstall the printer drivers already installed and then start the instalaltion and seelct teh connection type as wireless network. Then select use USB to configure wireless and when prompted conenct the USB cable and then select the network and enter the encryption key follow the onscreen  instructions.
    If the issue still persisits, please open the browser and in the address bar enter the IP address of the router and click on GO. This will take you to the router configuration page. On the router page, please click on Wireless Setup  and please make sure SSID Broadcast is enabeld and the Wireless Mode is set to Mixed or 802.11 B/G/N and the Wireless Channel is set to 11 and click on Apply. Then try to connect the printer to the network by using the CD.

  • Tecra A3 - Creative Mouse Wireless does not work

    My Creative Mouse Wireless does not work while touchpad is installed.
    Even if I disable the Touchpad, the mouse seal does not work.
    Does anyone know how to solve this problem?
    Thank you,
    R.P.

    Hello
    On this way it is not easy to say what the problem is. I assume that you got some installations software for your external device. Install it and it should works.
    As far as I know functionality of external mouse doesn`t depend on touchpad settings.
    Bye

  • Wireless connection not working after installed newest Lenovo ThinkVantage System Update programs

    Hi, everyone!
    I've installed some newest programs through Lenovo ThinkVantage System Update and just after that my wireless connection has stopped working. Here are the installed programs:
    ThinkPad UltraNav Driver for Windows 32-bit version 15.0.24.0;
    ThinkPad Power Management Driver version 1.60;
    ThinkPad Modem Adapter version 7.80.8.0;
    ThinkPad Hotkey Features Integration Package Setup version 3.11.0001;
    Inter Wireless WiFi Link for Window XP version 13.02.0000;
    ThinkVantage Access Connections for Windows XP version 5.62;
    ThinkPad Power Manager version 1.88;
    Lenovo ThinkVantage Toolbox (32-bit) version 6.0.5514.61.
    I've got a Lenovo T61 with Windows XP SP3.
    Also in Device Manager, there are now the two "Other devices" bellow with a yellow question point and a yellow exclamation point by side:
    Bluetooth Hands-free Audio;
    Bluetooth LAN Access Server Driver.
    Does anyone have any idea what can be done to have these issues solved?
    P.S.: when I click Fn+F5 it shows only the Bluetooth Radio.

    Hello and welcome,
    I've seen something like this on XP machines after updates a couple of times now - my T61, a friend's T400, and his daughter's T61.  I guess that makes 3
    _Maybe_  your situation is the same.
    The fix in all 3 cases was to go to device manager and uninstall the wifi driver.  Then scan for hardware changes and let it reinstall the driver.  Something about how Access Connections or some other networking mangement thingy was hooking the drivers I guess.
    On both of the friend's machines, the wired networking was also b0rked.  Same fix there.

  • [mostly solved]RaLink RT2860 wireless NIC not working, in eeePC 1000HE

    I'm having trouble getting my wireless NIC to work.
    I have a clean, up-to-date system, no [testing].  I'm using the stock kernel, 2.6.30, which according to the 1000HE wiki (http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Asu … 000HE#WiFi), is supposed to work out of the box.
    The problem I run into with iwconfig is that it doesn't set an essid.  The essid shows as blank, then I run:
    iwconfig ra0 essid "my id"
    and iwconfig ra0 again shows a blank essid.
    I've tried wpa_supplicant, and it just spams CTRL-EVENT-SCAN-RESULTS indefinitely (my config file is attached).
    I've tried wifi radar, and it gives me errors about the network I'm trying to connect to having no AP address.
    I've only tried to connect to the one network here that I have access to.  It's an unsecured university network with many APs (I think it's called roaming or something?).  Once you have an IP leased, you try to go to a website and are automatically forwarded to an authentication login page.
    I've attached the output from a bunch of different commands:
    ifconfig -a:

    Malstrond wrote:Mostly because Ralink just hacks their drivers together to work somehow. A module should never require files in /etc/, but they don't care. The file contains settings, ranging from packet thresholds to country selection. There is a readme file in the archive, you can change some interesting things in there, i.e. auto roaming.
    The staging drivers included in the kernel have this settings file included in the module, but there have been problems with this in 2.6.30, among others, the included drivers for RT2870-based hardware, for example, can render your system unusable.
    Sadly, there doesn't seem to be much effort on the side of Linux community either. Maybe it's because all the devs interested in this already bought one of earlier EEEs with an Atheros chipset.
    I've got one of these cards and it works fine. I'm running 2.6.31.
    I use a wpa_supplicant based connection. I suggest that you do the same, the config file is crap and it doesn't appear to accept iwconfig input.
    For netcfg and this card, try netcfg 2.5 which will be out in the next 24 hours. In the meantime, you could configure your networks in a wpa_supplicant config file. Don't use a catch all like above, create a more specific one.

  • Dell Inspiron 15 3000 Series, Problem installing Network driver, Wireless Key not working

    Hi,
    This is a brand new Dell, which has Windows 8.1 Pro 64bit installed, and I re-installed all drivers, and did BIOS update as well, but when downloading Network drivers with correct Service Tag and product, I get to the installation screen where it asks to Activate Wireless Key. The Fn + PrtScr does not work, even if I go to PC Settings, Bluetooth, I can switch it on with mouse, but when using the Fn + PrtScr it does not switch between On & Off within PC Settings. So I cannot install the Wireless drivers at all, I have to Cancel Installation.
    Any suggestions?

    The Service Tag may be listing the wrong wireless card variant. Please provide the hardware IDs so we can confirm:

  • Wireless printing on HP 6500A Plus -wireless does not work

    windows 7, linksys E2000 router, sony vio computer wireless N.
    No issues printing by USB.  When using wireless, prints first few lines, then slows to a stop.  Loses feed from router and disconnects.  Tried disabling all firewalls, removed antivirus, etc - nothing is working.  Not the only computer in household with same issue as well - Toshiba running xp is having same problems.  Need fix or I will trash printer and never purchase HP again and I have long been an HP customer for printers.

    There have been a few issues with printing using the new E-series Linksys routers.  Make sure the router has the latest firmware. If that does not work, set a static IP address for the printer:
    - Print a Network Config Page from the front of the printer. Note the printer's IP address.
    - Type that IP address into a browser to reveal the printer's internal settings.
    - Choose the Networking tab, then Wireless along the left side, then the IPv4 tab.
    - On this screen you want to set a Manual IP. You need to set an IP address outside the range that the router automatically sets (called the DHCP range). Yours is 192.168.1.100 to .149.  Let's use 192.168.1.200 for your printer.
    - Use 255.255.255.0 for the subnet (unless you know it is different, if so, use that)
    - Enter your router's IP (on the Network Config Page) for the gateway and first DNS. Leave the second one blank.
    - Click 'Apply'.
    Now, shut down the router and printer, start the router, wait, then start the printer.
    After this you may need to redo 'Add a Printer' using the new IP address.

  • T500 Wake on Lan (wireless) does not work.

    Hi,
    I set up T500 (Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit) for wake on lan,
    1) Enable Bios WOL
    2) Enable WOL in power manegement tab of Intel WiFi Link 5300 AGN property in device manager.
    But WOL does not work. Sending magic packet from a PC in the same WiFi segment does not wake up sleeped T500.
    Are there any setting for WOL in lenovo tools ?
    Does anybody use WOL(WiFI) on T500?
    Thanks,

    Is the T500:
    Associated with an access point at the time it is put into standby/sleep mode?
    Connected to AC power for the whole time it is in standby/sleep mode (in otherwords the whole time it is in a low power state) when you are attempting to use WoWLAN?
    If not, that may be at least part of your problem, as it is a known limitation on WoWLAN operation.
    You also need to have the laptop "set up" to the master workstation, and the WLAN configured to handle braodcast wireless frame, but I am presuming you have already done that side of things.
    Cheers,
    Bill

  • Wireless is not working on my new HP office jet 6700 premium

    Gents,
    i have a new HP office jet 6700 premium all in one printer and i coneccted to the network via wireless and its works only for 2 minutes and after that its not working via wireless unless i disconnected and reconected again please advice.
    FYI it is working very good by USB, and im using Mac OS X 10.9.3 version
    Regards,

    Hi Kattoa,
    Welcome to the HP forums!
    I'm sorry to hear your Officejet 6700  doesn't seem to be holding it's wireless connection but I'd be happy to help determine what the problem could be
    I think it would be best if you followed this Printer Does Not Maintain Wireless Connection document as it should be able to help determine why the printer has to be reconnected so frequently.
    Let me know how that goes for you!!

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 Plus Wireless DOES NOT WORK with Mac Mavericks Based Network

    Replaced my Brother system with the HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 Plus yesterday.  There are many positive features of the 8600 Plus that prompted me to purchase it...
    Modular Design
    Large legal sized Scanner
    Standard/Legal Paper Printer
    Copy
    E Print Capability
    High Yield / Affordable Toner Replacements
    Unfortunately, I discovered the Wireless network capability is less than desirable.  After hours of installing, reinstalling, work arounds, internet solution searches, it just will not work.  If you are able to get the printer to work on your network (with router), the scanner will not be visible, vice versa, etc...etc...etc...
    HOWEVER, I did discover this solution.  If the unit is near your base computer, install it to your computer with a usb connection.  That allows you to have scanning and printing from that unit.  Then you can connect the unit through its ethernet connection to your router.  From there all computers can print within your network.  It's not the best way to connect a WIRELESS printer, but at least it works.
    I'm not certain why HP and Apple can't find a solution, but I never found anything on the net that worked.  The problem seems to stem from the new Mavericks update from Apple, but I'm really not sure.  I wasted an entire day of productivity attempting to make it work.  I'm posting this so you don't make the same mistake.  If you happen to know a verified solution, then I would welcome the information.  Best of luck!!!

    It may be a mac driver issue. Try installing the bootcamp update for your version of vista from here:
    http://www.apple.com/support/bootcamp/
    I'm not sure if this is supposed to work since I've never tried mac hardware at 5ghz on windows before...

  • Tx2000 wireless does not work all of a sudden

    I just found out one morning that my WLAN doesn’t work anymore and my laptop could not search for wireless networks. Actually, I experienced the same problem a couple of months after I bought my laptop (by that time it was still under warranty). To avoid so much hassle in schedules, What I did was bring it back to factory setting and luckily solved the problem. Few months later, the same problem arose! Again, I cannot pick up a wireless signal in our house. From my previous experience, I set it back to factory setting hoping to fix it but this time around it did not solve the problem anymore. I searched over the net so I could fix it myself. And to my surprise it was not only me who had experienced this very same problem but a lot more in the world. One reason they brought out is the defective NVIDIA.
    I’m really desperate to fix this because I cannot afford to buy a new one. My warranty has already expired since it was a year ago when I bought my laptop.
    Please help me..

    I have an TX1260ea and i also have this problem. I email HP support and they told me to do the usual stuff like reinstall drivers, flash bios, go back to factory settings. Of course none of them worked so they said it was a problem with the wireless card and would send me and new one, this was over 4 months ago and im still waiting.
    However just before they sent me an email to say they will send me a new wireless card, i had already bought one from the internet, which i did recieve. However this card did not fix the problem either so it seems to be a problem with the part of motherboard that the wireless card connects to.
    I was able to purchase a very small edimax usb wireless adapter for £10, which works a treat. My wireless card does work every now and again, but very rarely.
