how I could wire mid-7602 motor dirve to control the laser shutter switch?

The 7342 motion controller has a 2nd 68pin connector that has 32 general purpose digital I/O's on it, TTL compatible, up to 24mA sink/source.
You would probably need the 68 pin mating cable for it and some type of 68 terminal breakout card with terminal blocks to connect your wiring to for your external devices.

I never have used an NI motoin controller, not sure how the hardware/software is set up to access and control or read the digital I/O pins.
Now that we know what controller card you have, maybe someone from NI can suggest the specific cable and breakout card part numbers and how to access the I/O.
What software and version numbers do you have (programming envirnmont, motion control software, DAQ and MAX)?

ISE Wired 802.1x with Foundry access switch ,not show "Device Port"

Our customer wanna enable wired 802.1x for user and machine authentication on Foundry Switch.
They want to use ISE as radius server.We try it ,but the ISE report can't show which port the client is connectd on the switch.
We get the tcp dump packets from ISE.It shows that the "nas-port-id" radius attribute is not sent out by foundry switch,but it sends "nas-port".
Is it possible to let foundry switch send "nas-port-id" attribute in the radius request packet ?
Or is it possible to let ISE show "nas-port" attribute value on the authentication report ?

Why can't I extend my wired TC port with linksys switch?

Temporarily, connect a laptop to one of the LAN <-> ports on the TC using an Ethernet cable. Turn off wireless on the laptop. Can the laptop connect to the Internet?
If yes, you know the port is working and the Ethernet cable is working.
If yes, connect the switch to the same Ethernet cable. I assume that you are using an "unmanaged" switch. Some switches may need to be powered off and restarted.
If no on the first test, try another Ethernet cable that you know is working. Try another LAN <-> port as well.
The whole idea is to start at the TC and work outward step by step, checking each connection and step along the way.

Clean Install of Snow Leopard
     1. Boot the computer using the Snow Leopard Installer Disc or the Disc 1 that came
         with your computer. Insert the disc into the optical drive and restart the computer.
         After the chime press and hold down the "C" key. Release the key when you see
         a small spinning gear appear below the dark gray Apple logo.
     2. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue
         button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu.
         After DU loads select the hard drive entry from the left side list (mfgr.'s ID and drive
         size.) Click on the Partition tab in the DU main window. Set the number of

Wired guest access with 5508

I have setup wireless guest access for a customer with a single 5508 and web authentication no problem at all. He then wanted to test wired guest access. The 5508 is currently connected to a single 3560 switch. The wired clients get a DHCP address OK but cannot reslove DNS and thus don't get redirected to teh guest login portal. I have even tried turning of all L3 security to no avail. The setup is as follows
VLAN 101 access points and 5508 management interface
VLAN 102 wired guest access dynamic ingress (L2 config only no SVI on 3560)
VLAN 103 wireless guest dynamic egress nterface L3 network with SVI on switch
VLAN 104 wired guest dynamic egress interface L3 network with SVI on switch
There are two DHCP pools setup on the WLC one for the VLAN 103 and one for the VLAN 104 subnets.
The internet router is also connected to the 3560 on a sepearte VLAN with an SVI. the 3560 has a default route to teh internet router and teh DHCP pools give the DHCP clients a default gateway of the IP address of dynamic interface 103 or 104. The Internet routre can ping the WLC on both these addresses.
LAG is enabled on teh WLC and VLANs 101-104 are trunked to it from the 3560.
I even tried making the wired guest egress interface the same one as for wireless. The wired clientys now got an IP address on the wireless range but still couldnt pass any traffic. It's like the intrenal bridging on teh WLC between VALN 102 and 104 (or 103) is broken. Tried both the lates 6.x and 7.x software on the WLC. Any ideas ? All the problems I can find with this seem to relate to not gettingas far as a DHCP address but that works fine.

Yes got it resolved. It turns out that the connection from the wired guest access port to the WLC must be L2. That is the switch that the wired guest acces sport is connected and WLC are connected to must be L2 only. We were using a single switch to do the testing and it was also doing the routing for the test LAN. Even though there was no L3 VLAN interface configured for the VLAN that the guest access port was on for some reason this breaks it. Absolu Didnt have chance to work out the exact limitations of this as we simply made the switch L2 only and configured an 802.1Q trunk to the Internet router and made subinterfaces on the router for the wired and wireless egress ports and it worked then. No config change was needed on the WLC at all.
The only thing I can think of is that it's something about the way the WLC joins the wired guest access ingress VLAn and egress VLAN. The WLC isn't a reall router it says so in the documentation. I think the packet coming from the wired access port is being bridged to the egress VLAn not routed and this is what screws it up (remeber with a router the source and destination MAC addresses would be changed with a bridge they aren't). Got to be something along those lines. If you have a bigger newtork with a guest anchor WLC handling this function you dont run into this as the traffic is coming over an EOIP tunnle from the remote WLC so the switch with the guest anchor WLC doesnt see the MAC address of the wired guest PC.

We have an iMac 24-inch Mid 2007 with maximum of 4G bytes of SDRAM, with OX X 10.9.4 Mavericks. It is routinely locking-up with the rainbow wheel. Especially with iTunes and Safari. Ideas?

I'm wondering it it that Mavericks simply uses more RA that the machine allows when also running application, but I don't see the RAM is being maxed out per se' when in Activity Monitor either. I've also ran the Disk Utility and have run scans wit Sophos, looking for malware, but have found no issues.
Any ideas? Any better Malware/Spyware applications?

I have a MacBook Pro Retina Mid 2012 with 2.7 Ghz Core i7 processor 16GB memory Nvidia GeForce GT 650M 1024MB processor, doing some heavy AE renderings and just realized that this machine says it has 8 Cores? I'm had not yet turned on Multprocessing in Preferences Should I be?
Should I leave 1 or 2 cores for other applications?
RAM allocation per background CPU is defaulted set to 3GB
Also for Adobe Media Encoder: in preferences under Video Rendering /Rendere it is set at Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration (OpenCL) is that the best config for this computer?

How much ram?
The best settings depend on what you are working on. Here are mine for a nearly identical system:
It's usually best to keep memory blocks in 4GB blocks. If my workflow is more in other apps I'll switch out other apps to 8 gb if things start to slow down. Because of my usual project settings I keep MP turned off on this machine, but for some projects I'll turn it on. If you decide to experiment to MP then keep an eye on the Actual CPU's that will be used and make sure the numbers add up. Other applications and Actual Cores should add up the the total in your system.

Controlling a laser shutter

I would greatly appreciate your help with , I believe, a simple application.
I am a new user of labview. My problem is the following: I want to control a laser shutter, basically to open it by applying a voltage in excess of 4 VDC. I would like to do this following a trigger (TTL at 10 Hz) from a laser, and keep the shutter open for a certain time, 1 pulse every 100 ms.
Does anybody have this application already made in Labview? I have a M-series DAQ board and a BNC-2110 connection board.

It looks to me like you have about three options:
1. Look under "Examples" / "IO Interfaces Examples" / "DAQ Examples" / "Digital Input and Output" / "Buffered Pattern I/O" / "Buffered Pattern Output with Start Trigger"
You can load the buffer with 0-1-0 to activate and deactivate the shutter. The example works only once. If you want it to work until you press Stop, wrap a while loop around "DIO Start and DIO Wait"
2. Since your timing is not very critical and you may not want to deal to trigger setup, you could poll one bit (laser trigger) and activate another bit (shutter). Take a look at the attached vi.
3. You could use a couple of 555 chips and a simple circuit to build this in hardware (but that's for another forum).

I wish to control two stepper motors using a MID-7602 motion controller.
The two motors are the same spec being 5V with 1A.
My question is, Is it safe to connect these directly to the MID-7602 motion controller or do I need some kind of circuit to make it compatible.

if your Mac monitor has Thunderbolt ports, and the PC monitor is on the end of the daisy chain, then you might be able to do it by connecting your PC monitor’s VGA cable to a Mini DisplayPort-to-VGA adapter (e.g. Apple, NewerTech), connecting that cable’s Mini DisplayPort end to one of the Mac monitor’s Thunderbolt ports, and then connecting a Thunderbolt cable between the other port on the Mac monitor and your MacBook Pro.

Problems with Comodo Kill Switch, Windows Services & Bitlocker Encryption on Asus N56VZ

Hi All,
So recently I found myself stuck in a different scenario than before, and after many hours researching and efforts to fix this I still find myself stuck yet with a few options still to fix.
What is the problem?
So as a security cautious user when i first got to Windows 8.1 Pro 64Bit I encrypted both the C and D drive (Split the main disk) to protect myself and my family. Unfortunately that has not been very helpful with the way in which booting and running from
either external USB devices or CD/DVD works, not allowing myself to at all.
My usual security suit I use is Comodo Internet Security, which additionally comes with Comodo Kill Switch. Whilst using the application instead of stopping one of the TCP connections I was meant to I accidently stopped an Windows Explorer connection.
For some reason since then Windows Explorer, nor most windows apps or services themselves will run. For example msconfig will run but sfc /scannow or mmc will not, whether in safe mode or normal mode.
What Caused the Problem?
Cannot 100% say
What I Think Caused the Problem?
Myself running Comodo Kill Switch stopping a vital server connection with Windows Explorer that messed up alot. Or a potential Virus unknown how cannot fully scan system as wont boot externally or run many apps.

Asus Webcam is Disabled on Purpose
Laptop was fully customized to run latest games full graphics minus Anti Aliasing, works with Evolve + CoD Advanced Warfare
Laptop does not boot if USB Keyboard plugged in, works with everything else normal (had this on other systems no problem for me)

What Fixes I Have Tried So Far
Ok so like any normal user I don't want to lose my files. So here are what I have tried so far:
Repair MBR (Repair Completed, No Luck)
SFC /SCANNOW (Returns Error 'Windows Resource Protection could not start the repair service')
Tried sfc /SCANNOW /OFFBOOTDIR=c:\ /OFFWINDIR=c:\windows (Could not access drive)
Fixwin2 (Will not run in either normal or safe mode)
Booting using Windows 8.1 via USB (Cannot boot from extermal devices due to Bitlocker Encryption)
Booting using Kali Linux Via DVD & USB (Cannot boot from external devices due to Bitlocker Encrytption)
How do I know it is because of Bitlocker, because last time I disabled it, I could run from external devices
Tried to run bitlocker to change settings (Will not run)
Have used both password and recovery keys to unlock driver, they work but when applications are running on windows the drive is still locked?
Tried windows Automatic Diagnostic and Repair (Could not repair anything, did make a log I am still to extract from the syste)
There are No System Restore Points
I'm sure there is much more information I could post however I will leave it on an ask to know basis, apart from the log files and further information to gather. Below is my list of trial and error fixes to try for today (need more ideas and help please!):

Research into the Bios and Possible Update in-case of implementation of Virus, can access flash utility (STILL NOT TESTED)

Another way to disable Bitlocker
Anti-Malware / Anti-Virus Scan If Possible to Run One
Bitlocker Repair Tool, will try this also
I have posted this as have not found much info online, usually find it and crack on but this time things are a little more tricky, my priority task I really need to do is remove the Bitlocker Encryption, but if the application will not run... what do I do

Update 1: MMC.exe Error Code
Ok so now have the computer in safe mode, still same as before, no explorer.exe, no services etc... Just went into the Task Manager > Services (Tab) > Open Services (Option at bottom)
This is the error I get:
'The Instruction at 0x785a746c referenced memory at 0x000000a8. The memory could not be read.
Any Ideas on what this error is and why?
Update 2: CHKDSK Works with no Fix
Update 3: Hiren's 15.2 Boot CD - USB Boot still no luck booting around Bitlocker Encryption
Just to explain again, I already have unlocked the drive with correct bitlocker password or recovery key yet the drive remains locked not allowing windows refresh of files of complete install from the windows recovery menu as keeps saying drive is locked

Problem - cannot run from bootable devices (DVD/USB)
Cause - bitlocker fully encrypted drive stops this working
Repair - Boot up holding F9 to enter windows recovery Input Bitlocker recovery keys to unlock drives
Navigate to Command Prompt in advanced settings Execute following code:
Repair-bde c: d: -rp 000111-222333-444555-etc...

Can I use my Macbook Air 13" mid 2013 with plugging charger even at 100 % battery full charge?

I can't decide whether using My Macbook Air 13" mid 2013 with charging power adapter connected even though it is fully charged Or using Macbook Air with unplugging charger after fully charged. Please advice me to maintain my Macbook's battery at good condition.

It will not hurt it as long as you do not leave it on the charger for an extensive period of time (say, days).

Target Display Mode iMac 27 mid 2011 with Mac Mini 2011 bootcamp

I can't seem to use Target Display Mode with Bootcamp.
My configuration:
Imac 27" mid 2011 with osx 10.8.4
Mac Mini Server 2011 with osx 10.8.4, bootcamp 5 and Windows7
Both are connected via Apple genuine Thunderbolt cable (2m).
When I boot the Mac Mini into OSX then Target Display Mode works perfectly and I can see the osx installed on the Mac Mini on the iMac display.
However, when I reboot the Mac Mini into Bootcamp (windows7 x64) I can't put the iMac in Targt Display Mode and get to see Windows 7 on my iMac screen.

The following article says that this should work, however once I reboot osx on the Mac Mini the iMac leaves Target Display Mode immediatly and will not return to Target Display Mode.
Any advice? I contacted Apple Support and a Sr. Enginner said it should be supported and he's checking with a higher tier.
