I have an Hp wireless printer (Deskjet F4580) and it was working just prfect until I changed my router. After replacing my old router with the new one, the printer stopped working, although the network is the same and the passowrd is also the same. Please advise ..... thank you.

Macbook Pro can no longer connect to any wirless connection

My macbook pro has never had any problem connecting to a wireless connection up until recently. For the last two months, I have not been able to connect to any wireless signal although I can when connected directly to the router with a lan cable. these are all networks that I have used in the past, with all correct passwords or even to networks that are not password locked. do you have any ideas on what i can do about this before making the trip to the apple store?

i forgot to mention, its not even a matter of getting connected to the wireless signal with a few bars showing and not function, it just does not connect at all anymore and i get an error message saying:
"there was an error joining the network [the name of the network i am trying to connect to]"

Sharing a Vista Dial up connection with a Mac wire wirless connection

I have a problem i would like to share the internet connection from my wifes PC (dial up connection) with my mac book pro via wireless connection between each computer. Now it works ok (after fiddling with firewall on PC) when we have the dial up connection on the mac and use the wireless from the PC to access the internet the same time. but it does not work the other way. I tried to allow sharing on both the dial up or wireless, I have not found the same option which we have in the mac to tell the wireless connection which internet connection is to be shared. Is there any easy way to do it or must i pay a wireless router to access the dial up connection.

Wirless connection has gotten slow

My wireless has for the past week or so started to get significantly slow, measured decrease around 10x slower actually.
Here's my setup:
- Apple LED Cinema Display 24" running in clamshell mode (just got this screen last week)
- Wireless Keyboard and Magic Trackpad (got it together with the display)
- D-Link DI-524 router/wifi
What bugs me out, is that, my other MacBook (late 2008 model) has a great wireless connection with no speed loss experienced. So either it has something to do with my MacBook Pro or they've started to conflict with each other over the WiFi.
So far I've tried to:
- Reset my router and all its configurations
- Reset the .plist files in Library/SystemConfiguration/ (several times)
- Delete the network from Preferred Networks
- Dele the password keychain for my network
- Use OpenDNS
Can it be the my new bluetooth peripherals (keyboard and magic trackpad) that are corrupting my WiFi connection? Or what can it be?

Are you referring to wireless speeds with regards to internet speeds OR local transfer speeds? Try:
1. Connect the devices via Ethernet to the router, and run a speedtest;
2. Try changing the wireless transmission channel on the router (I use a utility called Air Radar to see what channels my neighbours transmit on, and then pick something else to minimise any interferance).

Wirless connection to Nokia 9500

Wireless is connected and the phone can connect but as soon as it starts to download it says cannot find server. Any clues?
Also the Wifi light keeps flashing on and off on the unit is that correct?

That's ok, blinking lights on your WIFi access points. Did you configure your router/modem to limit the IP address? Can't find server means the DNS is not accessible! Check default access points settings.
Microwave oven & remote tel handsets interfer with WIFI signal be sure its out of the way.

WRTG54g v5 No desktop (wired) connection but have working wirless connection

I have the router (wrtg54g v5) supporting a notebook wireless and gateway windows xp desktop thru an ethernet cable. Internet service is thru a cable modem. All was well for months. Now I can't access the internet on the desktop but still have internet connection wirelessly on laptop.
Here is what I have done so far:
1. confirmed that problem isn't isp/modem by connecting modem directly to computer (works fine)
2. checked all ethernet cables (all working)
3. confirmed wireless connection is from my network and not a neighbors
4. Resert modem, upgraded firmware, numerous power cycles
5. Tried different router ports
I have tried to ping yahoo from a DOS prompt and there is no connection whatsover on the desktop but wireless connection works fine. If there is no ping response does setting a static IP address going to help? Any other ideas?

Desktop has no wireless card so it can only connect wired. Laptop can connect wirelessly or wired and both work.
Ethernate cable is plugged into numbered port in back of router. I have tried all the ports and none work.
ipconfig returns at DOS prompt:

Satellite A300-1OM wirless connection changed from connected to limited

I am having issues with continual use of the internet via my wireless home network, which appears to be an intermittent problem.
On many occasions while using my wireless internet connection the connection has changed from 'connected' to 'limited connectivity', which then leads to difficulty opening the 'Network and Sharing Centre' and also 'Connect To a Wireless Network' dialog boxes, and when attempting to diagnose the problem using windows it only suggests moving closer to or restarting my wireless router, which I know to be work fine as I can operate another toshiba laptop and browse the internet using the same router in the same location.
It seems the only method to repair this problem is to restart the computer, reopen the Network and Sharing Centre, click on the red 'X' between the graphic of my computer and the image of the earth (internet) allowing windows to diagnose the problem, and then choose 'turn on wireless connectivity', and after doing this the network begins operating as normal...until it repeats the malfunction a few hours later :(

I've updated the WiFi Driver and BIOS, how can I find out what Wireless standard my notebook is using? As you can imagine with an intermittent issue, I won't know if the problem is fixed until (if) it fails again.
I'm using Vista Home Premium
With regards to restarting the router, why might this make any difference when it is evident from using two toshiba notebooks side by side that the router is still providing internet access to my other notebook once this notebook has downgraded to 'limited connectivity'?

WRT54G Version 6 - Wirless connection stops working after a few minutes on all devices.

I have tried setting the factory defaults and upgrading the firmware. Nothing has seemed to fix the problem. On my wii and laptops in the house, none can connect. Windows error message: "Wireless association failed due to an unkown reason." When i try accessing the settings on my router (192.168.1.1) it just goes to a blank page, not even prompting for a user name or password. I usually fix this by hitting the reset button on the router, but the problem keeps coming back. Is linksys every gona release a new firmware upgrade to fix this problem? Or is my router just too old? (3 years about)

Please reset the Router for 45 Secs and unlpugg the Powercable from the Router.
Then try to access the Setup page of then configure the Router.
Even after Reseting the Router if you are unable to acces the Setup page. Disable the firewall on the Computer if that doesn't works check if you are able to access the Setup page. Even if that does't work you can check on a different Computer.

WRT160n V3 wirless connectivity problems?

Recently i have been having problems connecting to my wireless connections. I have one pc that uses a wireless N card (internal, laptop) and i have one that uses G. Both laptops have been having connection issues, and its intermittent. I have several other devices that connect fine. When i unplug the router or about 3 seconds and plug it back in, it reboots fine and im able to connect fine. I have also updated to the latest firmware but no changes. Any ideas on what is causing this?

As I have mentioned, there might be other devices or network that interferes with your network. Try Channel 1, 6 or 11. If the issue persists after trying each channel, try to reset it to default and start the settings from scratch.

My mac is not locating my wirless connection

Mac keeps losing or is unable to locate the internet connection. All other apparatus in the house is fine, so its not my verizon router. HELP !!

This happens to me constantly!!! I can be online and walk away from computer for a few min and it will not be connected and it takes hours to get it back. I have had my imac for 10 days and at this point I am SO sorry I spent the money for it. If I could take it back and get a full refund I would. Mine is not through verizon so that must not be the problem. 2 laptops and fire never have this network problem. It will also take 20 or more times of putting in my network pw b4 it accepts it. Everyone said I would be so happy with this, I want my hp and its problems back. Please if anyone has a solution for this problem it would be appreciated.

Wirless connection so slow in vista

i installed vista on iMac and using BootCamp then i installed the drivers with the Leaopard update DVD i got with iMac, but the internet speed through my wirless router is sooooooooo slow i cant say there is an internet even slower than dialup and it also disconnects, while when i run in leopard its ok, also when i use it with vista on other pc its ok so haw can i fix that ?

I don't have any problems with network speed in Windows Vista on my iMac. Do a traceroute to your router from the command prompt and check the speed:
tracert 192.168.1.1 (or whatever your router IP address is)
It's more likely a problem between Vista and your router. Make sure your router isn't assigning the same IP address to two different devices on your network. Also, I've noticed that Windows Vista will sometimes slow down considerably when it's updating, and it tends to do that soon after start-up.

Cannot connect to web using "Public" wirless connection

When I try to connect to the web using a Public wireless hot spot (like in airports), I get an error message about an invalid certificate, and cannot connect. If I try to bypass it, I get big time Warning!, Danger!, Better not do it! stuff. Same results in several public hot spots. Running Firefox 3.6.6 with XP Pro.
Any explanation/help will be greatly appreciated!

If no light, try connecting to a different port on router or try using a cable that you "know" works.

My hpofficejet6500Aplus will not keep a wirless connection and halh of the time the computer cannot

I have a hpoffice6500Aplus710n Three in one. Since I have had it Ive had printing problems with. Half of the time the wireless network feature does not work. Then I mtry to hook it up so that it can print using the Usb cable. The computer more often then not is unable to communicate with the printer. Every hp printer I have owned I have had trouble with in one way or another Now Im afraid I m going to scratch this hp printer. If I do this will be the last Hp printer I will ever own. My frustration with HP printers has come to this point I think I should return to kodak I have had almost zero problems with them. So this is a last ditch effort to get some. Every test everytninf on my computer tells me its working properly and that is not true as I can not get in toes. So if I cannot get the wireless running and stay running Im scraping HP forever.
