WIS 10901 error when creating a webi report based on OLAP unv (SSAS 2005)

Hi,
I'm using two VM.
Machine A is running SSAS 2005. I'm able to create SSAS cube. Everything is ok
Machine B is runing BO XIR3.1. I'm able to create webi report on relational DB without any problem or opening samples.
Both VM machines are on the same custom network and I'am able to ping both. SQL managment server studio is installed on both machines. I'm able to manage SSAS from B also and not only from A.
Creating unv with BO designer on machine B is OK, connexion is runing and universe has been created and published on the BO server
But when I create a webi report from B, using my OLAP unv based on SSAS located on machne A I recieve following error message :
Une erreur de base de données s'est produite. Le message d'erreur est le suivant : . (WIS 10901)
thanks for your help,
Nicolas

Hi
Ya I used SAP authentication - then also get same error.
Connections are created with username, password to access SAP Source
Thanks!

  • WIS 10901 error when running webi report on top SAP BW InfoCube Universe

    Hello,
After completing all the role assignments and integration kit installations, finally got to a point where have completed the universe development on top of a SAP BW InfoCube.
Once, I have exported the universe tried creating a Webi report and with a simple one dimension report I am getting the error "error_db" "WIS 10901".
I looked in the forums and came across some messages talking about MDX Parser. So, based on the OSS Note 1032461 went into SM59 to test the connection for MDX Parser and it is working fine.
When I hit "Run query" from webi the following is the error message
A database error occured. The database error text is: The supplied XML is not valid. [0GL_ACCOUNT].[LEVEL01].[20GL_ACCOUNT].[Value]. (WIS 10901)
I am not sure what went wrong.
Please let me know if I missed out anything or if there is anything else to be checked to avoid this error.
I tried looking into SM21 and ST22 but did not see any error messages out there.
    Thanks
    Dharma.

    Hello,
I also went into transaction MDXTEST and wrote a sample MDX statement on the InfoCube on top of which the universe is built.
    SELECT
    [Measures].MEMBERS ON COLUMNS,
    NON EMPTY [<dimension>].MEMBERS ON ROWS
    FROM [<cubename>]
<dimension> is the dimension in the rows and <cubename> is the cube on top of which the Universe is built for creating the webi reports.
This MDX came back with proper data.
But the Webi is still giving me the same error.
    Please let me know.
    Thanks
    Dharma.

  • Getting error when refreshing the WebI report

    Hi,
I am building WebI reports using a universe which is constructed over a BI cube.
Initially I am building the report and uploading it into CMS.
When I am importing the report from CMS and refreshing it, I am getting an error
"A database error has occured. The database error text is: A runtime exception has occured. (Lisence key check failed, Check that you are lisenced to access SAP data sources). (WIS 10901)".
What could be the reason for this kind of behaviour?
The version of BO is 3.1.

    Hi,
Your answer was really helpful, and it worked upto some extent. I have updated the lisence key and the following error is no longer coming.
"(Lisence key check failed, Check that you are lisenced to access SAP data sources). (WIS 10901)".
But now I have a new error popping up when ever I import a report from CMS and refreshing it.
The error is "A database error occured. The database text is: The supplied XML is not valid.[SYMTNKEY].[LEVEL 01]. (WIS 10901)."

  • WIS 30902 Error when opening a webi document from Rich client

    Hi ,
When I try to open a webi document from local folder or import from CMS in Webi Rich client, I get the following error message.
"An error occured while checking the document security. (WIS 30902)"
Has any one come across this issue?
    Thanks,
    KartheeK

In our case, we could initialize Webi Rich Client (Webi RC) successfully , but later we found that any disruption in Webi RC client connection will corrupt the client ..\LocData files used by client to dock to the CMS, causing WIS 30902 error.
At first we thought just deleting the ..\LocData Client .lsi files fixed it. Unfortunately, there are a collection of files and folders in ..\Loc Data involved in the authentication. We already found that complete deinstall of Webi RC didn't work. Now we know the problem is in the \My Business Objects Documents\LocData values.  Deinstall of Webi RC does not delete them.
It sounds scary, but isn't. The Webi RC will download the refreshed files it needs automatically from the CMS. However, it won't overwrite the old bad ones, and you have to do that manually.
    Solution.
    1. Logout of Webi RC. Make sure it is not running in taskmgr.
    2. Go to the client ..\My Business Objects Documents\LocData folder.
    3. Delete all the files and folders, or rename by adding .bak extension.
    4. Logon with Webi RC
    5. Corrupt files will now be resynchronized to CMS

  • Error when geeting the WebI report into Xcelsius using LiveOffice

    Hi All,
I am using Xcelsius 2008 SP2 and Live Office. I run the report in the WebI and I am trying to get the report into Xcelsius using the live office. When I go to live office and select web intelligent I  am able to see the report it the InfoView but when I go to next step to insert into live office I am getting the below error "
An error occurred when an object was selected in the report part viewer.(LO 02026)
Maximum character output size limit reached. Contact your BOBJ administrator(Error: ERR_WIS_3072)".
Could any one please help me.
    Thanks
    Muvva

    Hello Raghavendra,
What is the size of the WebI report? There may be a limitation to the rows of data you can pull into Live Office.
If this is the issue, you can avoid it through an alternative connection method called the [Xcelsius Web Intelligence Integration Suite.|http://antivia.com/products-xcelsius.stm]
You can use this to connect Xcelsius directly to WebI, without the need for Live Office.

    Hi,
I have tried to create and start a new reports server instance using the following method:
1- Creating the report server instance:

    2- Stopping the OPMN:

    5- Starting the OPMN again:
    *%ORACLEHOME%\opmn\bin\opmnctl startall*
However, when I try to start the OPMN again, I receive the following error:

    Log: %ORACLEHOME%\opmn\logs\%newrepserver%~ReportsServer~%newrepserver%
Any ideas as to why the reports server instance cannot be started?
I have tried rebooting the server many times and have recreated other reports server instances but with no luck.
    Many thanks in advance,
    Chris

On Windows this is caused most often by the temporary directory setting.
Change the temporary directory to some fixed directory writable by anybody, e.g. "C:\temp".
    Change this in:
    Registry entry: hkey_local_machine\software\oracle\key_<oashome>\REPORTS_TMP
<oashome>\opmn\conf\opmn.xml: search for environment variable TEMP (under ias-instance)
    Good luck!

  • Deploytool errors when creating a Web Component (.war)

Ok, I've got some serious issues with the deploytool in the latest version of J2EE (Sun Java Application Server 8).
I can create a .war file with the servlets, JSPs etc that I wish to have. But when I try to add a Resource ref. and save the changes, I get a SAXParseException and the war-file becomes corrupted (actually it is the web.xml i the war-file that becomes empty).
Is this a known bug and are there any workarounds?

    Hi,
I tried to reproduce your problem but was unable to get the error you described. I created a war file, and added a resource ref -- no error and the web.xml looked accurate. Can you provide a sample war file that exhibits this problem? If you can, I will look into the problem and perhaps provide a solution for you.
You can send a sample war file to:
    kpaulsen -nospam- @ yahoo.com
Remove the " -nospam- " from the email address above.

I am having the same problem.  I checked and double checked everything, including deleting and recreating the Universe and the Connection.  No improvement.  On a whim, I deleted the hierarchy from the query on which the Universe was based, and recreated the Universe on the query without the hierarchy.  The problem went away.
Now, the question is, why do I get the WIS 10901 error when a hierarchy is present in the query/Universe?
