Wish iPod had Crossfade =)  & Wishlist

Its in iTunes, Windows Media Player, WinAmp so i just wish iPod had crossfade.
Also in my wish list:
* iPod with intergrated camera (its got the memory, pictures display wish iPod had a camera)
* Replaceable Cover (like Nokia cell phones)
* Replaceable battries ( so i can charge one while i am listening to Music)
* FM Radio Player!! [obiously ]
Any of you have any wishlist, share with us?

Personally, I hate crossfade. I like to hear the intro and outro of all my songs and the crossfade just muddles them together.
I would like to have a replaceable battery though. The unreplaceable battery kina ticks me off. I would love it if the iPod could run of two AAAs or something. Then if you wanted 100 hours of playback all you would have to do is carry 8 more batteries with you.
FM Radio - uh, no. The iPod plays my music and I like it that way. If you want to listen to FM radio, you can get personal FM player for less than $30.
My wish list-
The iPod should be able to output a menu to a TV so you could use the remote to navigate the contents of your iPod. It ***** that you have to manually pick the playlist on the iPod and the remote just skips tracks and changes volume.
I also wished that iTunes handled videos better. The Video selection under the source list just doesn't cut it. The Movies, Music Videos, Podcasts, and TV shows options aren't enough. There should be a way to make your own options, or make folders of videos that aren't side-by-side with music playlists.
Just my 2¢. . . probably an inflated value. : D

  • Wish i had bought an i

having had this creative zen x-fi 8GB? now for 3 months i can safely say that i wish i had never bothered.
the player itself is brillaint.....it's the usless pathetic horrendous piece of absolute rubbish software that goes along with it that is the problem. as i sit here writing this i've been waiting now more than 5 minutes for this software to load up. there's nothing wrong with my laptop as every other program/software works fine. i have a toshiba laptop running windows xp.
if and when it does load up it then most of the time tells me it has ecountered a problem and must close. then if this doesn't happen it then sometimes just freezes anyway.......and if i do get it to work, if i then try to delete or edit a track absolutly nothing happens.
as you can imagine this is becoming a real royal pain in the ass....and i've just about had enough of this garbage piece of c**p.
does anyone else have any of these problems and in this day and age should this be happening, don't they test their software in the real world before they release it.
and as i sit here the software STILL hasn't loaded up.

I have Creative Zen 6gb. Other than having Windows Media Player installed, I did not install any single software from Creative and thus I do not have any single problem on my XP caused by Creative Software. Creative Zen device it self is not problem free and I just hope it has not yet reach its EOL. However there is one strong factor that made me bought Creative ZEN at the first place, which is AVI XviD support and expandable SD card. As I think that XviD compression is more flexible, I have been able to produce .AVI video files in XviD that has a smaller file size than .MP4 (MPEG4) and .M4V (H.264) that is used for any iPod when using 320*240 resolution. The AVI Xvid filesize could be up to half the size of any of the .MP4 and .M4V. This means that I can store twice the amount of videos into Zen 6gb when compared to iPod Nano 6gb, and even storing more videos from using another 6gb or even 32gb SD card if supported. Please don't throw your Zen X-Fi away if you don't want it any longer. You may want to send it to me as pre-Christmas gift

  • Have just bought an Ipad 16gb but now wish I had got the 32gb. Can I do anything to increase it

Have just bought an Ipad retina 16gb and wish I had got the 32gb as once I put 3 or 4 films on to it I have no memory left. Any suggestions to increase memory or do I have to put up with it or bite the bullet and buy a 32 gb and try and sell the 16 gb.

If it has not been damaged, you have had it less than 14 days, and you purchased it from Apple, you shold be able to.

  • I have a ipod touch 5 and when i was loading it up to my computer i chose to restore my last ipod, which had no camera. After all my music was loaded all of my photos i had taken with my ipod had been deleted. Is there any way i could get photos back?

I have a ipod touch 5 and when i was loading to my computer i chose to restore my data from my last ipod which did not have a camera. Then after all my music was uploaded i noticed that all the pictures i had taken on my new ipod had been deleted. I think it may be because i chose to restore my last ipod which no photos on it. I was wondering if there is any way to restore my lost photos?

If you backed up the iPod before restoring it then restore from that backup. See the restore topic of:
    iOS: How to back up
Also, if yoo have that backup you can extract the photos by:
Recover iPhone, iPad or iPod photos from backups with Picturescue
If you used PhotoStream then try getting them from your PhotoStream. See that topic of:

As Larry mentioned I use a different DAM (digital asset management) appliclation, Media Pro 1. For other possible DAM apps visit  The DAM Forum which is for professional photographers.  There the various apps are discussed along with workflows.  If nothing else you'll get some good information on managing digital "negatives".
Media Pro lets you manage the folder organization of your photos and write metadata, keywords, titles, and other metadata directly back to the files.  No matter what app you go with have a backup plan in place to keep current backups of your source photos on separate hard drives.

  • My ipod had to be restored so I restored it. Now it says my songs are back on my ipod, but they ain't. I have tried syncing it like ten times.

    - Try restoring from a backup that include the photos. See the restore topic of:

    - If you use PhotoStream you should be able to get the last 30 days worth from your PhotoStream. See:

Try here to fix it.  I doubt that you will ever find out why it did that.

  • Can you go back to lion if you have already gone to Mountain Lion? I wish I had the old OS back.

Can you go back to lion if you have already gone to Mountain Lion? I wish I had the old OS back.

    Try this:
Reinstalling Lion/Mountain Lion Without Erasing the Drive
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion: Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

  • IPod Had to be restored ........

iTunes said my iPod had to be reset to factory settings. I reset it using iTunes 9.2. It will sync but will not keep the playlists I add. What can i do to resolve this issue? Apple was no help. (at least not without getting in my wallet)

    Launch iTunes on your computer.
    Try...
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
With iTunes 10.3 and iOS 4.3.3 or later, you can download your previous purchases directly to your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or computer.
" Download Previous Purchases. Download your past music purchases again at no additional cost. Your purchases are available in the iTunes Store on your Mac or in the iTunes app on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. Previous purchases may be unavailable if they are no longer on the iTunes Store."
When you connected the iPod to you computer, did you see a dialog advising you the iPod must be restored? If so, that's why all your iTunes media is missing. Hopefully you can re download it.

  • I just bought the ipad 2 16gig and wish I had bought the 32...is there anyway to exchange it?

I just bought the iPad2 16gig and I wish I had gotten the 32 gig.  Is it possible for me to exchange it?

If you purchased the iPad directly from Apple, either online or from a retail Apple Store, you have fourteen calendar days from date of purchase to return it. You can then get the higher-capacity model. If you purchased the iPad from a dealer, then that dealer's return/exchange policy, if any, would apply.
    Regards.

  • HT201441 what if the previous owner of the ipod had Find my ipod to link it to their apple i.d and i have no way to contact them

what if the previous owner of the ipod had Find my ipod to link it to their apple I.D and their is no way that I can contact them ?

Then your iPod is useless. The previous owner should've unlinked the device from their AppleID before passing/selling on the device to you, and you should've checked the device was properly wiped before buying it.

  • My ipod had over 8000 songs an now it's empty. my itune still has all my songs .Help.

My Ipod classic had over 8000 song an now it's empty .My itunes still has all my songs.Help

    Hi Tom35hoboken,
So it sounds like your iPod had music on it that is now gone, and you want to put the music back on from your computer, is that correct? Let's see if we can get you back up and running.
To put your music back on the iPod you will need to sync it again with iTunes on your computer. The manual explains how to do this -
    manuals.info.apple.com/MANUALS/1000/MA1195/en_US/iPod_classic_160GB_User_Guide. pdf
In particular see page 19 - Syncing music automatically and page 23 -Managing iPod classic manually.
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
    Best,

  • 11 days in and wishing I had never bothered

Got the Infinity 2 and BT Phoneline installed on the 21st of May. The Infinity 2 on it's own has been nearly a total nightmare, I find myself running 4 or more speedtests aday to make sure my connection is the same.
The speedtests nearly always give different results. One moment its at 72mbps down and 18mbps up the next its as low as 20mbps down and 0.77 mbps up. It has been stable for around 5 days  (out of 11) which was 72mbps down and 18mbps up.
The HH4 randomly (to me) goes from the blue connected light to the orange no bb light then the speed changes.
I didnt have a phone plugged into the line until it arrived on the 25th, BT gave me a new number as I moved from Sky and since the day I plugged the phone in I have had 3-5 calls per day from debt collectors asking for someone I dont know. After speaking to a BT agent who told me the person who they where calling for was 2 customers back he couldnt understand why they where still calling for him. He adv me to tell the callers that I have registered with the TPS and they should stop. Not only have they not stopped but one of them actually laughed at me when I said this. Some of the call centres have multiple numbers so your not sure who it is until you answer.
Today the 11th day after install my HH4 in one of its daily fits turns off, my speed nose dives from 72mbps down and 18mbps up to 20mbps down and 11mbps up. The DSL light on the openreach modem keeps going off for 30 seconds then coming on for 2 mins, I call tech who do a line test and ask me to run a speedcheck on the BTWholesale site, unplug the modem/HH4 do another test. As I was talking I noticed that the line had a crackle/static noise on it, the speedtest now shows 60mbps down and 16mbps up.
I was told to monitor the issue, I was not told when to call back or if anyone would call me but just to monitor it.
Not ten minutes had passed when the DSL light started to go off an on like it had been doing earlier.. On for a few minutes then off then flashing.. As I wasnt sat at the pc I also noticed that the BT 6500 phone screen was turning on then going off every time the DSL light went off. There was a message on the phone saying something like 'Cannot trace Line' but as soon as the DSL light came on that message went.
I called again as I had no BB and was advised to reset the HH4/Modem again .. While talking on the phone to the agent the DSL light was constantly on and off and the advisor said it was a line issue and transferred me to the phoneline tech agent. The phone had very bad static on it when talking to the agents but the phone tech said there was no problems found with my line. He booked an engineer (the 3rd one now) to come out on Wednesday which I could be charged for if not a "normal" issue.
As soon as I pick the phone up the broadband drops out and the HH4 resets which changes the speed, this is either bad or very good. There is static on my line but all tests show its fine. I have a second BT line into my house which the phoneline tech called me on when he ran the test which is crystal clear.
Really wish I had never moved. Unstable,Unreliable and now phoneline issues..
This doesnt really need any feedback in regards to fixing issues as an engineer will be out on Wednesday .. I just wanted to vent out what is happening to me after coming from a stable BB from Sky after just wanting faster speeds.

I find it very strange that two none BT employees without the checkers and engineers they have can instantly diagnose an error when many phones calls and two engineers couldn't.
I shouldnt have to keep calling them until it's sorted and I wont. Me and BT have entered into a contract, they AGREE to provide me with a service and I agree to pay them for that service. At this moment in time BT have broken that contract by not providing me with a service I can use. The law states I must allow them enough time to fix the issue ONCE they are aware of it.
On the phone side of it, I will wait to see if this issue gets resolved first before I ask for a new number. I dont want anything else going wrong and by chaning the number might stop the engineer coming out on Wednesday.
Thank you both for youre replys and I await for the engineer to arrive.
