Wish Lion did not open all the programs that were running when I shut down.

No way to stop lion from re-opening programs and files where I left off. Hate that. Anyone know how to stop it?

If you want to permanently avoid having to uncheck the "Reopen windows when logging back in" checkbox at each shutdown, you may consider doing this:
1. Close all apps you don't want to open at startup.
2. Open your user Library folder. It is normally invisible, so press the Option key while selecting the "Go" menu in the Finder then select "Library" to open it.
3. Use the Get Info dialog "Locked" checkbox to lock this plist file:
~/Library/Preferences/ByHost/com.apple.loginwindow.*.plist
where "~" is your home folder and "*" is a sequence of characters (12 in my case). No need to lock the corresponding lockfile.
This plist is where the System stores "reopen windows" info, so the System can't change/delete it if it is locked. This won't change the "Reopen windows..." checkbox setting, but that setting will no longer have any effect.

Hi James - Thanks for the info! This has been bugging me, too. I'm going to uncheck the Restore Windows box. Agree with you that it should be app specific, tho. I like opening to the last page I was working on in pages and numbers. Hope it doesn't change that!

I know, I always do that but I was in a rush to get somewhere and I was relying on my thousand dollar Mac to do some kind of recovery or something. I know Microsoft always keeps temporary files (I think Mac does too, part of me asking here in this forum was for someone to tell me where I can find those files) and when you go to open Office Works then it gives you the option of opening the last recent documents, saved or not saved.
I usually copy paste into my emial just in case something goes wrong with the created document but I just didn't have the time to login and do all that My loss, you live and you learn, BUT still if ANYONE got any info on this, PLEASE DO CHIME IN *keeping the hope alive*

When Cross company document is reversed with FBU8, Only one (1) leg is reversed and another (2) is not.
For internal audit purpose, when any document is reversed, User should attach some proofs and then he should reverse it.
When I tried to reverse only (2) leg through FBU8, I am getting this error – “You did not select all the docs belonging to the cross-co code transact Message no. F5876”.
Pls give me some inputs how to reverse (2) leg.

It sounds like an issue of trying to run XI on VISTA. That combination does not work. Info on both the Acrobat full version (including sub-version) and OS would help. It might also be an issue of running 11.0.0 on a system that needs the updates to work.

Well you can sync your iPod/iPhone to yur computer or laptop then take the photos off of your iPod like taking photos of of a SD card (from a normal camera) or off of a USB..! Good Luck. plz tick this saying This solved my question if it helps you.

Might be corrupted Safari preferences ...
Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type of copy paste the following:
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Safari.plist
Click Go then move the com.apple.Safari.plist file to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari and try setting your hompeage.

THanks...but some days they have all the episodes right back to the very first show...ive downloaded a few but they are only available every now and then which makes no sense...why not have them available the whole time ??
