Wish List for iTunes Store?

Greetings
Is there a way to have a Wish List in the iTunes Store? Would be very helpful
Thanks!

Create a new playlist in iTunes for songs you want to buy later, Drag a song you are interested in from the iTunes store to your playlist. If you want to purchase the song later go back to your list and click on the Buy Song button.

  • Wish List for iTunes

Seeing that Christmas is coming up, is there any way to create a wish list on the iTunes store, so that someone could go to the iTunes store, see what I want, and then buy certain songs for me?

No that I know of. You need to let Apple know you want this functionality:

  • HT1368 Wish list for iTunes app on iPhone 4s?

Movies are too large to download through 3G, so I love to browse iTunes. It would be great to add movies, I want to buy later at home from my iMac, to a wish list.
But where is it on the iPhone 4s? If it's not there, I hope Apple could please add it?

There isn't currently a wish list function on the iPhone, but when you select a film you can use the icon of the share icon (the square with the arrow coming out of it at the top of the screen) to email or message yourself. Otherwise you can leave feedback for Apple here (these are user-to-user forums which aren't monitored by Apple) : http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html

  • Photo Management/Folders Synch Wish List for Itunes/Ipod

Love the fact I can synch my photos, pick folders and the order in which they are synched. However, my photo folder structure goes to three levels. Itunes only allows one to select one level of folder and everything within that folder is then copied and displayed in one set.
I'd very much like the ability to tag specific directories to be more generalized and be able to specify specific folders for synching at whatever level of the folder/directory structure one wishes, for as many folders as one wishes. So instead of only being able to tag my FAMILY photo directory I could specifically mark only the CLOSEFAMILY and MYDOG folders within the FAMILY directory.

I think the only way will be to create a new directory, copy the directories you want there, and synch. You could then have a "My Ipod Pictures" directory, which had the family directory only containing the photos from 'mydog' and 'closefamily' directories. Hope this helps. (BTW, you do say that you have plenty of hard disk space)

  • Wish List for iTunes client...

When importing from CD, I'd like to have a menu/context option that would bring up a dialog similar to the Edit/Pref/Adv/Importing that would allow me to set/adjust import settings for that one CD. I'm so tired of trying to load a bunch CDs (with alternating settings/optimizations) and having to go into edit/pref/yada, yada, yada...

    In fact, I'd like both:
The defaults (i.e. as set in preferences) would kick in when the "Import" button was clicked (as happens currently).
But then it'd be nice if the iTunes client had a "Import CD as..." either on the "File" menu or if you right-clicked the "Import" button at the lower-right of the CD panel. Heck, there's probably enough real-estate to show the import CD settings on the screen to begin with.
The real question is, does Apple engineering actually see posts like this?

  • Preparing for iTunes Store but...

We are getting ready to go public [iTunes Store] with our iTunes U site. For the main page we have All@urn:mace:itunesu.com:sites:uis.edu set to download. We also have that set for all of our podcasts, which we wish to be public.
However, when we click on one of our public podcast, it opens up the browser and then redirects back to iTunes. When we view Stanford's site, it does not do this. It goes directly to the podcast.
Is this normal for a course that isn't listed on the public iTunes page? Will this change once we are listed on iTunes Store?
Here is a link to our site:

    Thank you

I am really going out on a limb here ... this is "Rich" talking, not "Apple" ... so I'm going to defer to people like Duncan for a definitive answer.
Some people/institutions charge for podcasts. None of them are in iTunes U. In fact, one of the very few reasons Apple may deny an institution's request to be included within iTunes U is if the institution is commercial in nature (my understanding is that there are a handful of commercial entities within iTunes U ... but, in each case, the circumstances surrounding their inclusion are extraordinary ... and certainly none of these entities charges users for its content).
The "correct" solution for recovering the costs associated with iTunes U is to charge your students an appropriate sum within the context of "registering for a course" ... and to use credentialling to limit access to content within iTunes to those who have actually paid and are in good standing with you. But ... my guess is that you want to bring in outsiders, not formally associated with your school, into your iTunes U site and have them pay for content. In that case, I'd still argue that the "correct" thing to do would be to setup some registration system that compensated you for access to content. However, if -I- were to go down that route myself, I'd DEFINITELY want to shoot that past Apple to make sure I wasn't crossing the line between "educational institution" and "commercial interest". My bet is that Apple is not going to want you to go down this route.

  • I purchased a song almost two years ago and the song is no longer present in my library, but it is listed on itunes store as purchased.  How do I get this song back?

I purchased a song almost two years ago and the song is no longer present in my library, but it is listed on itunes store as purchased.... How do I get this song back?

@caragam, if the songs are no longer in your purchase history it means either they have been hidden or the original items are no longer available for sale on the iTunes Store or you are logged into the store with a different Apple ID.
To see if they have been hidden in iTunes pull down Store > View my AppleID. Enter your password when prompted. In the middle of the screen, click "view hidden purchases." See if the purchased items are here. If they are unhide them and go back to your purchase history and re-download them.
If the purchases are not hidden and you do not have a backup then the songs are gone and there is no way to recover them. This is why we keep backups.
If you used a different Apple ID to purchase the song, log out of the store and log in with the appropriate Apple ID and download the song. Be aware this could trigger a 90 day lock out of the other store account so make sure you really, really want that song.

  • Does the Wish List for iPhone/iPad/iPod show price drops?

Does the Wish List for iPhone/iPad/iPod show price drops? I assume it would show the new price in the Wish List but does it inform you if the price drops?

The apps which show on the file sharing section on your iPad when connected to your computer's iTunes, you have exactly the same apps installed on your iPhone - they are not separate iPad and iPhone apps that you have installed on your iPad/iPhone, and only the iPad version supports file sharing ?
For iBooks, that won't show, it doesn't support file sharing. You can add ibooks / epubs / PDFs to your computer's iTunes library (the iBooks app if you are using a Mac with OS X Mavericks on it) via File > Add To Library, and you sync them to a device via its Books tab :
If you want to copy them off the device to your computer's iTunes (to the iBooks app on Mavericks) then File > Devices > Transfer Purchases will copy them over (that will copy PDFs and epubs from the iBooks app on your device, not just ibooks).

  • Wish list for next iPod software update

I don't know if this the right place or not, I was unable to find a better place for this.
Wish list for next iPod 5G software update
1.) Use the same folder structure as in iTunes (could be an option)
2.) Allow creation of custom eq settings in iTunes.
That's all for now. Thank you Apple for a great product.
    Roy Owen
    A Happy iPod 80GB owner.

What the next update needs is a better way for ipods to deal with gapless albums, I have several albums that I put on gapless album cuz each track leads into the next one perfectly and that little pause really throws off the feel of the music. But I can't put either of those albums on Repeat All, Shuffle Songs or Shuffle Albums cuz then it only plays the one song in it's own playlist and to get to the next track I have to go back to the menu and scroll down to the next one, which is a hassle to say the least.

It's not currently possible to add to or view your wish list on the iPad, you will need to use your computer's iTunes for it.

I want to know where to check out and buy my wish list on itunes,

Open iTunes, select iTunes Store in the Sidebar and on the right-hand side is Quick Links. The wish list is under that. Click on that and it will take you to it in iTunes to purchase. Alternatively, log into iTunes, scroll to the bottom and click on 'wish list'.

  • How can I purchase everything on my wish list in ITunes all at once instead of one at a time?

How can I purchase everything on my wish list in ITunes all at once instead of buying each one separately?

Sorry, but Apple for some unexplained reason remove the "buy all" option. The only way now is to purchase each item individually. You can comment to Apple on the matter via their feedback page, if you wish:
