Wish List? Or Have I just missed the feature?

I'm finding 2 features I'm really missing in Aperture:
1. I wish the import/export function followed the Finder convention. I don't see my folder favorites and I see no way to add a folder to the favorities...
Is there a way to do that?
2. Some images require more than Aperture can give. I'd like to be able to double click or select an image for editing in another application like Photoshop.
Is that possible? If so, how?

That's really estrange, all the folder showing on the left hand side of the finder are shown in the left hand side of the import/export window in Aperture, at least in my case. There could be something wrong on your file system. Try a Mac OS X maintenance app as Cocktail or Onyx. The automate option fixes everything wrong in the system.

My hard drive continually has the floating beach ball and will take massive time to fulfill a request. And then will not boot up...so then I have to do a restore and rebuild hard drive from a past saved time machine version. Works for a little bit...then the floating beachball comes more and more...until it will not boot up again. So then I restore from a previous time machine saved version....and again it works for a day or so ... until it happens again. Now it's happening faster and faster...so I think my hard drive is dying.

Using the Mac with your iPad has nothing to do with the fact that the iPad is running slow. There could be any number of reasons why the iPad is now running slow.
Have you tried a reset on the iPad?
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

Wish List, Alerts, Complete Album, etc missing from Quick Links

I don't see the Welcome! message, or the Wish list link and all others under Recommendations in the Store Home Page. I have items in my Wish List and can view them if I use the drop list next to the account name.
I've uninstalled iTunes completely and reinstalled and still don't see those links. I have iTunes running on a different machine with the same account number and they appear fine. That computer is Intel, the one with the missing links is PowerPC. It also has an AppleTV connected.
Any suggestions as to how to get the links to appear?

Thanks, I tried that first. I then did a complete uninstall, removing all prefs and itunes reference files according to the Apple support page on uninstalling iTunes. I then started with a fresh iTunes 9 download copy. Still have the same issues.
I did ask a friend to check on his two computers, a PowerPC G5 and an intel iMac. He sees the same issue. The links appear properly on the intel but not on the G5. A possible issue on the G5???

Wish list or can I just not find how to do it ....

- create folders/subfolders
- in landscape mode, hide the message list (as you can in portrait) so you can get full screen. Why the message list isn't a floating pane as in portrait mode I dont know - big mistake IMO.
I hope they open the door for 3rd party mail applications. There is SO much room for improvement.

Ah, awesome, thank you, KLOS! I'm not that concerned about the security issue, although it would be nice to ultimately have it. But the only time I'll need a second e-mail account on it is while my husband and I are away on vacation later this year. We're both planning on receiving mail on it while we're away, and don't really have a problem with each other seeing our respective messages.

Movies I purchase from wish list are not being removed from the wish list

I have a few movies that I bought on apple tv from my wishlist. Issue is with some movies that after I purchase, they still show on the wish list and I cant remove. Anyone know of a fix for this?

To begin with you can't manage FLAC in iTunes. The use of iTunes is at this moment limited to WAV, AIFF, Apple Lossless, AAC and MP3. But that's not a problem because if I understand you correctly you want to organize the MP3-files in iTunes.

If you tell me I can give you estimates on the disk-space you will need.

Do the filenames contain special characters, like "ä,ü,..." or white space or are the vry long? Is there anything special about the image format? Try to export the edited versions in that case and reimport it with a different, shorter filename.
For testing, create a new book with only the images you want to check.
If this does not fix it, try rebuilding. Depress the option and command keys, launch iPhoto and rebuild the library.

This would make Thunderbird much mor user friendly as the two present alternatives are just annoying.

As I said in my last reply, there is no message preview. You have the choice of reading in a message pane in the main windows along with the mail lists, on a tab (double click) or if you change the settings in a window. But there is no preview hence mail is marked read when you read it.
You appear to be looking for a feature that simply does not exist.

Why do I not have access to all the features of my Canon MG5320 printer in all applications which use a printer? The printer has two paper paths. The rear path is used for photo paper and other specialty papers. this is only one "unavailable".

I have an iMac late 2012 with OSX 10.8.
The MG5320 has two paper feed paths; one at the rear for photo paper, brochure paper, and other specialty papers and a tray for regular 8½x11 paper. It also can print on CDs and DVDs and has an automatic duplexer. Canon provides a utility for printing on the CDs and DVDs and also for printing photos and other specialty items. This is available in Mac format also. I installed the most recent drivers and utilities.
I also have a HP IBM Compatible computer on which the above printer as well as an Epson are installed. Every option of each printer is available in every software application that has need for a printer.
The Mac printer dialog varies from one application to another. The only applications that list the option for selecting paper quality which includes photo paper are Office for Mac, Pages, and Numbers. Not likely that I would be using any of these for photo printing. Auto duplexing, however, is not available here or in any other applications.
The print dialog in Aperture, Photoshop Elements for Mac, ACDSee for Mac, or iPhoto provide the choice of numerous sizes of paper but no option for paper quality. Therefore, I attempted to use the print utility supplied by Canon and updated by Apple for printing some photos. The photos are selected in this utility. When the print command was given I was shown a message that the printer was being reset. It then began printing a spreadsheet, which was not even open, from the front tray on regular paper in fast draft quality.
It is essential that the rear feed be available for printing photos. The printer will not accept photo paper from the front tray. The greater proportion of my printing is photos or other specialty items all of which use paper that must be fed from the rear feed.
An acquaintence who considers himself to be somewhat of a Mac expert insists that the printer options that I require are available and all I need to do is look for them. The print dialog should be clear enough that "looking for options" is not a necessity. Even so, I have dilligently searched every variation of the Mac print dialog on my iMac and only the office type applications named above included anything other than the basic printer functions.
I have also searched numerous locations online without finding a solution. I did, however, find that printing and printing problems seem to be common with several versions of the Mac OS and Mac computers in general.
I would appreciate it if someone could provide me with a solution. I have no desire to upgrade my Windows OS to Windows 8 which is perhaps suitable for "smart" phones but not desktop computers. However, because of the printing issue I have temporarily put my iMac aside and reverted to using my PC with Windows Vista.

My Itunes messed up and i tryed to uninstall everything itunes and related to, and the Itunes wont uninstall and says an error with installer is missing and wants me to browse new source for it. i tried everything and that message box keeps popping up.

(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
(3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
(5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?
