There is no "Tabs on Top" option.
Tab Mix Plus will move it to bottom of view-port, but not below address bar at top of view-port.
Extremely awkward; makes navigation difficult and harder to locate tabs, being more distant from view-port.

That changed in Firefox 15 and is now a hidden preference; the default is for Tabs on Top to be on. To turn Tabs on Top off, you must use about:config. The instructions are the last item on the following page. I have also included a link on how to use about:config

Firefox doesn't do email, it's a web browser. And the 3.5.7 version you are using is very out of date and no longer supported by Mozilla.
If you are using Firefox to access your mail, you are using "web-mail". You need to seek support from your service provider or a forum for that service.

After installing FF4 on 2 computers (both Win7Ultimate), one places tabs in the title bar, the other below it; how can I get both to place tabs in the title bar?

I have the same options selected on each computer, both have "Tabs on top" selected.
The one I am using now has a double-height title bar, with the Firefox botton on the top left, and tabs below it also on the left.
The right side of the title bar is blank (semitransparent) space.

Found the problem - on one computer, I run Firefox maximised, and Tabs go into the title bar.
On the other, Firefox runs in an unmaximised window, and tabs sit below the title bar.
This seems very silly.
Hey, developers, how about keeping the tabs in the title bar all the time? This is a good feature spoilt by this quirk.
How about changing it for the next update?

Since updating to 3.6.1 I don't get an empty browser window in my tool bar whe. it opens --- just a list of search engines. I can't find anything in "Help" or the FAQ's that seem to address this. My only choice seems to go back to Safari.

I am not sure what your problem is, can you give more details.
One possibility is you may be in full screen mode, for details on fixing that see the [[menu bar is missing]] article.
If you are missing various toolbar items, see the [[back and forward or other toolbar items are missing]] article.
If your problem is something else please give more details.

FF 8.0.1 forgets what tools bars were in what state when open after closing. It defaults to Menu bar off, bookmarks bar off, tabs on top...

Randomly FF 8.0.1 when you open it, forgets the last state it was in when you closed the program down. It seems to default to bookmarks toolbar off, menu bar off, and the Tabs on top is on when you start FF 8.0.1.... I have made no settings changes or altered any add on's to FF. Nothing happens to passwords or bookmarks just the bars in use...

Will I be able to select the URL bar by pressing F6 with tabs on top again?

In previous versions of FF (lo, with tabs on bottom) I could select the URL bar's text simply by pressing F6. With tabs on top I press F6 and select the tab itself, not the URL bar.
Is there a setting I can change where the functionality will be returned to what it once was?

There is an open bug report concerning this behaviour, it is not blocking the release of Firefox 4 so it may not get fixed prior to the release of Firefox 4. An alternative keyboard shortcut is Control+L

When I open FF4RC, 2 active title bars are rendered in XP and forgets I want it to default to "Tabs on Top."

Anytime I try to adjust settings, FF4rc forgets them and restarts with those two WindowsXP Active Title Bars, one inside the other. In other words, I see 2 sets of Minimize/Max/Close buttons on the right. The only setting it remembers is the "Use Small Icons" option inside the toolbar custom settings.
Was there a glitch in the update process? I notice the FF button is no longer alongside the tabs on top and would like to restore that like it was in b12...

I restarted firefox in safemode on my xp machine disabled all addons and restarted and then progressively enabled each addon. For me one that caused the problem we both appear to have was Tabmix plus 0.3.8.5
Don't know if there is a newer version but I am using tab utilities which works fine.

How do I get to my web page without a place to put the address? Having to google it every time, with a new page is extremely annoying.

There is NO refresh button, NO go back button, NO forward button, NO place to type the address of the web page. Those are the only buttons I remember from the previous bar.

It sounds to me like the installation went pear-shaped somewhere along the line.
What I suggest you do is to do a new installation as follows:
Go to [http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/fx/?ref=logo Download Firefox 4.0] and download a fresh installation file to the desktop.
Then go to Add/Remove Programs, scroll down to Mozilla Firefox and remove it, choosing to keep your bookmarks, customizations etc., (''don't checkmark the box'').
Then reboot and delete the folder called Mozilla Firefox at this location: C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
Finally run the installation file you downloaded.
After you complete the installation, go to the [http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/plugincheck/ Plugins Check] page and update those. In that respect, I notice that several of them are out of date which potentially exposes your system to attack.

You see the orange (on Linux gray) Firefox button if the Menu Bar is hidden, so you need to hide the Menu bar to get the new appearance. 
If you need to access the hidden Menu bar then press F10 or hold down the Alt key to make the Menu Bar appear temporarily. 
You can place the Tab Bar on top.

The Tab bar only appears on the title bar if the Firefox window is maximized.

When I try to use Firefox Browser on my Samsung Note 3, the screen comes up white after the orange bar runs across the top. It worked yesterday.

March, 9th, 2015 -- My Samsung Note 3 is on AT&T wireless, but I Have Xfinity wi-fi at home. Firefox browser worked yesterday & last night. Today when I search it comes up with a blank white screen after the orange bar runs across the top & never loads anything (words or pictures). When I open the tabs in the side bar, it shows the pictures for them, but still only loads a white page after clicking actual link. It will not sync the last few saved bookmarks with my computer. I made sure that I have the latest android version installed, but It still does this even after uninstalling & re-installing & restarting the phone. AT&T had an update a couple of days ago & I've already talked with their tech support with no resolution. I don't know if there is conflict with AT&T's update & current Android Firefox browser. The most frequent site is not at top of list on location bar dropdown in 10.0.2

Previous version ordered the drop down history on locator bar by frequency of use. This meant my most commonly visited site was at top of list and I used that to select my site. Now it's halfway down the history list and more inconvenient to access. I tried selecting the site many times to see if it would move up. No luck. Any way to change the order? Liked the old way better.

I don't think LabVIEW 6 generated those error log files as LabVIEW 7
does. Not sure if it did generate an error log at all, but definitely
not in ...\My Documents\LabVIEW Data directory. It may however create a file in the temporary directory.
As to the error message it is probably worth a try to enter 6.0.2
instead. It is not very likely that the code base of LabVIEW has
changed so significantly that this message would be in another place.
That said the error page on the NI site has not a single time helped me
up til now. I always seem to only get errors NI hasn't felt like adding
to that database.

Scroll bar only scrolls the top ~300 pixels

The latest update of Nightly is unusable. The scroll bar only changes the top 300 pixels or so of the page. Then the links do not work in the bottom portion, and you can't see the entire page.

How do I turn off the auto-scrolling Icon (gray bar with arrow at top and bottom)

When reading and scrolling this gray bar with arrows on top and bottom shows uunder my curser, the next thing I know I am at the bottom of the page, it is driving me nuts please help. Playing games is almost impossible. Hate it.
