WISM at headquarters and 1121G's at WAN sites (T-1)
I have approximatley 100 1121G aps that were autonomous and coverted to lightweight on my LAN with various wlans. I have 13 WAN sites that are connected T-1 with about 20 1121G's currently in autonomous mode. Can I convert those aps to lightweight and configure them from my controller at headquarters? Its my understanding the AP-1121G-A-K9 is not REAP or H-REAP compatible. If it is possible, is it acceptable that the wlan would associate to the same interface or is that bad design?
I appreciate your response. Let me clarify the design to see if we are on same page. The WAN wired LAN network would be lets say 10.1.1.x /24. I would configure lets say a couple local networks on the 6509/720 (headquarters) and create interfaces and associate them to a particular wlans with groups and wlan override. Lets say those two networks are 172.16.1.x /24 (EAP-FAST) and 172.16.2.x /24 (WPA-PSK). So at the WAN site there is an EAP-FAST client. They would authenticate/dhcp and get a 172.16.1.5 ip. At another WAN site, same setup with lightweight ap. Client gets a 172.16.1.10 ip. Is all of this feasible and legitimate design?

Ok, I (Lenovo) did it again.
System Update showed me this update: "Vodafone and AT&T Wireless WAN (HSPA) Driver for Windows 7 (32-bit, 64-bit)".
As I'm using Vodafone and I had a AT&T driver, I decided to update.
The result is, that now the GPS doesn't work.
Yes, I'm in a place where the GPS signal is present (my house, with the previous driver I was able to get 6/7 satellites).
What happens? Lenovo TV GPS stays there trying to fix the satellites, but nothing happens. I can't recover the system to a previous state, as I updated Flash player too, and Windows only show me the possibility to roll back this update.
So, apart advicing everyone not to update, I kindky ask:
- where can I found the previous driver? I searched the web without success...
- why does Lenovo deploy driver which can cause problems (I just had one updating the BT driver last week! .msi installer problem, error 1935...)?

600, R52, T61p, X301Ok, I found in the Net the drive 7uw706ww.zip, which is Version 6.1.4.2, while the updated version is 6.1.10.5 (7UW708WW).
I tried again the GPS, and it wasn't working.
Anyway, before downgrading, I tried to reinstall the new driver, downloading and installing the .exe instead going through System Update.
Result: now GPS is working (same place, same conditions, just 5 minutes later)!
Don't know where the difference is...

Help DBA and Programmers shut out after site Move.
I am hoping that somebody will help me with this problem.
This week we Moved a group of application programmers to a new site due to
office space needs.
However we have a DMZ that is accessible from the internet for our customers
B2B business. Problem is we dont route that DMZ inside our Frame Relay
cloud.
And right now, the remote site cannot access the servers to manage, drop
code or maintan the apps.
For security reasons we do not want to route the internet facing DMZ through
our Global WAN. i have tried several solutions and none is working.
Before they were able to access their servers because we could use a static
gateway in one of our internal firewalls. So you still were in the WAN FR
but it was also local in the sense that the firewall has an interface in our
LOCAL LAN. We then PATTED the whole internal range. This time address
translation will not work because you still need to route the destination
address.
Can anyone suggest a solution.?I want to make sure that I understand your new topology correctly, reflecting the new site where the app dev staff resides. I assume that the servers did not move, and the remote site that you refer to is not a customer B2B site, but rather the new site where the app dev staff resides. Is that correct? If so, then run an IPSec vpn between the router has an interface in the new site and the router that has an interface where the servers reside. This way you can keep the subnets you want hidden from the global routing table by protecting them by configuring the router that is in front to use IPSec for any traffic to and from that subnet.

WLC in two different WAN sites using same DNS
I have two different wlc's that are located in different locations and WAN sites. I want them to use the same DNS for both sites since there is no need to add a specific server in the small areas. When adding a DNS entry for "cisco-capwap-controller" for AP discovery, is there a way to make it distinguish which local controller to use?

We had a similar issue with different controllers in different sites, for different wireless networks. I got around the issue by creating wireless specific subdomains to hold the relevant dns records in.
For example:
Site A = siteA.rf.mycompany.com
A Record = cisco-capwap-controller 10.1.1.100
Site B = siteB.rf.mycompany.com
A Record = cisco-capwap-controller 10.2.2.100
Site C = siteC.rf.mycompany.com
A Record = cisco-capwap-controller 10.3.3.100

Multiple WAN site redundancy design review (dark fiber, p2p, DMVPN)
I'm re-designing a couple of wan sites. I'm using EIGRP over both some leased dark fiber and p2p provider connections. The attached (pdf) physical topology says it all, I'm thinking of using ip sla to track and inject routes over prefered connections, but really just looking for feed back if someone is interested in taking a look.
I've bought 2 2951's with es3g-16-p modules so I can build svi's and do hsrp between the paths, building redundancy between the 3 available paths back to our enterprise core (1Gbps, 40Mbps, 50Mbps).
multiple vlans at both sites...
e.g.: (wan site1 (vlan 10-15), want site2 (vlan 16-20))

not sure why you need to use DMVPN if it all internal same internal network unless you need to have all the traffic between sites to be encrypted
anyway in general i would say of use the direct link to reach the directly connected networks per site
example using site one 100M link to reach DC and WAN
and use site2 50M local link to reach WAN as primary path and use the site1-site2 fibre to reach DC as primary path for site2 this could archive a good load sharing and reduce the load on the link between site1 and site2
IP SLA in a topology like your for sure can very helpful to improve failover time and make the routing more topology aware

Downloading and editing an existing WordPress site in Dreamweaver CS5.
Hello! New to the forums, here.
I'll try to be brief. I've got a WordPress site in-place at metalmeter.com that is hosted through HostGator. Basically, what I'm looking to do is get the site from the remote server and edit it in Dreamweaver CS5, previewing all changes on a local testing server before putting the updated contents back on the remote server.
Now, let me be clear: I've tried plenty of the tutorials. I've watched hours of videos. I still can't get it configured properly. I've got the FTP connection to the remote server running smoothly. I've got XAMPP installed. I'm having difficulties (and I apologize for being vague), and I just don't know where the problem is located. In my htdocs folder for XAMPP, I've got two subfolders 'metalmeter' for the remote server's downloaded contents, and 'wordpress' for the wordpress installation that every page seems to be pointing me toward. What confuses me is that when I try and open the uppermost index.php file on the remote server, the dynamically discovered content is not being displayed in the live view with my local testing server. I want to be viewing my existing WordPress site in its entirety exactly as I see it online while I'm editing it, and then pushing back updated files to the /public_html/ root directory of the remote server so that I can edit the site from my local client. I'm extremely new to Dreamweaver, so any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated.

I agree I don't see any reason to want to edit a Wordpress site in Dreamweaver. If you are using Wordpress then you may as well put Dreamweaver in the bin. Although people do actually want to edit and manipulate the design in Dreamweaver (including myself) and from what I've read its possible but I've never found a source which explains fully how to achieve this and those that I have it seems too much effort to even bother about.
I guess the Dreamweaver environment feels more like home and is more user friendly.
To put it another way, a typical WordPress installation contains around 800 files in some 80 folders. Those files don't contain any content, just a whole lot of PHP code. In fact, the only page most people ever see on your site is the index.php page which is dynamically created over & over by the server with content from the MySql and various include files.
For sure and that's why people who use Dreamweaver and feel the need to manipulate a Wordpress site in Dreamweaver because Wordpress is 'in vogue' get lost. Wordpress just containes a lot of pages with nothing to see apart from some php, many of who will not understand one jot.
Unless you're a coding guru, you should definitely NOT touch any of the core WP files as this could cripple your site. If you want to customize your Theme, look at the CSS and include files in your Themes folder. See Anatomy of a WordPress Theme:http://yoast.com/wordpress-theme-anatomy/

For a quick tip on Theming, open your remote site in Firefox equipped with the 'Web Developer Toolbar'. Edit CSS on screen. Save changes to your local site and upload it to the remote server. No testing server required.
Wordpress is Wordpress and Dreamweaver is Dreameaver. As far as I can make out the two don't mix.
Ideally you would just choose a Wordpress theme which most relates to the nice site you have designed in Fireworks of which you won't find any however goodthe themes are. Then manipulate the themes css that's if you can understand it. Even for a seasoned css expert its heavy going because everyone produces css differently to achieve the same results.
Leave Wordpress well anlone unles you're going to use it out of the box so to speak or as a web-developer don't mind a bit of reverse engineering. -
When using FF3.6 and making a Google search, when I click on a result and then go that web site, the Back button on the toolbar is grayed out and I cannot return to the search results without going to History. This does not happen all the time; about 1/2 of the time.
This problem is not limited to Google, but occurs with other sites as well.If you are talking about searches from - http://www.google.com/ - are you logged into a Google account all the time? If so, check your "Search Settings" from the "gear" in the upper-right corner of that Google search page and see if you have '''Open search results in a new browser window.''' check-marked, at the bottom of that preferences page. When that is check-marked and you have Tab options in Firefox set to '''Open new windows in a new tab instead''', you will get search results always opening in a new tab instead of the same tab. As to why that works different for "sponsored links" I don't know, I haven't seen the "sponsored links" for years now, I have a GM script that blocks those advertisements.

I switched my mail to icloud and now my ipod touch has icloud.
i can receive mail on my ipod touch and through the icloud web site, BUt I cannot receive mail on my mac directly any more. There is an exclamation point on my mail in box and also an ! on .mac.
Can anyone help me with settings so I can receive mail again directly on my mac?

Ever since I updated to the IOS 6, I no longer can play my music in the car! It is plug and play! It just sits there saying connecting and nothing happens. A couple of my friends have said the same thing. Any ideas? Help please!
Hello ..do you have a history on the phone? did you get it wet? was it dropped? have you been using an authentic ORIGINAL apple charging cable?
this problem occurs when there is a short circuit in the phone... you most likely got it wet at some point and maybe didnt even realize it? The moisture in the phone hasb probablly oxidized one or several capacitors, integrated chips thereby short circuiting the phone. that is why he phone is acting erratic because these short circuits inadvertently "activates" other circuits.. eventually the phone will not turn on anymore- the heat will stress the citcuit board and you will have discontinuity along your main power lines and the phone will cease to function..i see this alllll the time in our shop
the fact you upgraded to ios6 will even work the phone harder because its a more powerful operating system taking full advantage of the A4 chip.. -
I changed my header in iweb and when I published the site the font had shrunk and it displayed incorrectly. It was only on my home page, not on others. I have iweb 3.0.4. Help!?!?
Just in-case anyone els runs into this, I figured it out... I was working from my hotel and apperantly the fire wall was not allowing anything to uplaod, but I wasn't getting an error message from iweb, it would say that everything was published succesfully even though it wasn't. Once I went home and used my connection eveything worked fine.

combo, and then finally my webmaster hand coded my main site to
work with PHP/MySQL. So, as I begin to build my new sites, which
don't need to be super complex, what are the easiest and fastest
tools for me to use and have the least amount of grief. Should I
even bother with CSS? Can I just use a php page and use tables?
Should I delve into Flash, since many of my sites are media
oriented? Clean, quick, easy and functional are what I need. Thanks

Of course you should. Reasonable and properly structured HTML

in conjunction with CSS for the presentation should be the
way to go.

... Flash is neither of them. In fact it will cause a lot of
problems if
it's used improperly, for example for building the entire
site. In some
rare cases it has its uses and can be a valuable add-on, but
usually
it's just annoying and a usability problem. Things like
Flash, JS etc.
should be used wisely and carefully, especially on commercial
sites.

Troubleshooting suggestions:
Ensure the page you are linking to exists in the correct folder.
Check your file name for case sensitivity . Index.htm is not the same as index.htm!
Temporarily disable any rewrite rules by renaming your .htaccess file if it exists
is the problem with
iweb or with hosting?
One Apple tech started to fix Iweb and had to end session and the next said problem with hosting at Network Solutions as it published
to local folder. NWS has checked sttting a few times-
Any help would be extremely appreciated as trying to fix this for about five weeks

How to upload and publish a non iweb site to mobile me
How do I upload a website I made from a flash template to my mobile me server, I had a iweb website published there, now I want to use my same domain name and publish the new flash site I created to the mobile me server and disable the iweb site.
Just log into your MobileMe account and go to your iDisk and delete the iWeb site that is there.
You can load your other site there by simply dropping and dragging your files for your new site to the Sites folder on your iDisk. Alternatively, MobileMe uses webdav so you can use Cyberduck to publish too.
