Wism interfaces gone after switch-upgrade

Hi,
I've a 6509 with a sup720 (ordinary, not a 10GE) and a wism blade in slot 3.
It worked fine until i did a upgrade of the IOS on the 6509. I went from s72033-ipservicesk9_wan-mz.122-18.SXF13 to s72033-advipservicesk9_wan-mz.122-33.SXI3.
Now i cannot reach my Wism-blade any more. When i look in the running config on the switch there are no gigabit-interfaces on module 3, in the config there is even no mention of a module 3.
However when i do a "show module" the wism is reported with a status "ok". Also when i do a "show wism module 3 controller 1 status" it tells me that its "Oper-up" and all the adresses are in place, even the service IP-adres (which i do not understand because it can only get this adres by DHCP from the switch).
The Wism is running 6.0.188.0.
Anyone ever seen such behavior?

Elie, the service-vlan was (and is) indeed different, so that was not the problem. I got a good clue in the posting of dampcampb: he wrote that there was a difference in behavior between the SXI- and the SXF-versions of the IOS. I checked and there was also a SXF-version with the features i wanted. I used that version of the IOS and all was working fine again. Thx however for the reply.

ITunes interface gone after software upgrade to iTunes 8.2.(23)

I have an older iMac (Flat screen) G4 that I bought back in 2003 and have upgraded it as far as I can. I've never been on the iTunes forum, but have posted to the iMovie form several times. I'm hoping someone might be able to help me. Here goes...
I got a prompt last night to upgrade my software for several applications, including iTunes. I clicked on the upgrade box and, after about 15 minutes, the software update was completed. I restarted the computer to complete the process. Tonight I clicked on the iTunes icon on the bottom of the page and instead of the usual iTunes interface with my music library coming up, all I got was a small rectangular box at the top of the screen with an Apple logo on the left with "play" "forward" and "reverse" control arrows, a speaker control slider and three small circles (red, yellow and green) lined up on the far left side of the dialog box. Can anyone tell me how to get my normal iTunes interface back? My iTunes library resides on an external 250 GB firewire drive if that makes any difference. Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide.

Notes from Iphone gone after IOS7 Upgrade

Hi, I upgrade my Iphone5 to IOS7 and all my notes on Iphone are not lost after the upgrade. There were some very important notes. Is there any way to get them back.

In the Notes app click the Accounts tab at the top left corner and you will have several options for saving your notes. One is your email and one is your iPhone. Your email is selected by default so if you didn't change this setting they should be copied in your email and your missing note should be there. However if you delete the saved copy from your email it will remove the note from your app.

Try this...
Tap Settings > iCloud
Switch Notes off then back on.
Give iCloud a few minutes to re sync the data.

Time machine backup of mavericks gone after yosemite upgrade

I am a podcaster and enjoyed the podcast format in garage band. However, after upgrading to yosemite, my garageband is gone. So (annoyingly) I had to buy it again.
However, after doing so, I learned that in the latest version (10.0.3), podcast formats are not supported. I know I have the old garageband (10.0.2, I suppose) on my time machine back up of mavericks.
I figured I would just pull that single application out of the backup and throw it into yosemite. Not happening, because whenever I pull up time machine, it has marked the date that I made the backup, but it wont let me access it. It doesnt even tell me I can't. It's as if its not there, but then when I open my External HD in finder, there it is, the time machine backup file.
I read somewhere that when you first plug in the HD after upgrading, it has to "index" the HD, but after leaving it plugged in awhile, there appears to be no change. I've messaged apple about this over a week ago, and no reply whatsoever. Their customer service has really hit the fan these past few years.
Anyway, any advice would be appreciated. I'd like to get back to my podcasting. I should have never upgraded, but now I cant go back to mavericks because I can't access the **** back up.

Yes, backups should be accessible.
I've been running Time Machine since it was launched (Leopard, I think) and have upgraded through all iterations of OS X and am currently on Yosemite. Whenever I've needed to restore a file (not often, but it does happen) that was created whilst running an earlier OS X they have restored as expected when running Time Machine from the latest OS.

7962 VOIP Phone Dies After switch upgrade/reboot

Recently I upgraded several access swicthes (2960, 3650's) which have POE and Cisco 7962 phones connected. After the upgarde and subsequent reboot, the IP phones failed to power up and are effectively dead.
All that happen on the phone now is that when the POE cable is connected, the phones mute button LED light flashes before the spekaer LED lights up and remains lite up.
Approx 5 phones across multiple switches have died this way.
Can anyone tell me if this is a behaviour they have experience and how they may have recovered from it.

I am searching for a power adapter now.

The Watts are displaying as 7.0 as opposed to the normal 6.3 and the Device ID is showing IEEE PD

IPhoto and iMovie gone after Mavericks upgrade

I upgraded my MacBook Pro to Mavericks and lost ALL of my applications. I finally have most everything back in order, but iPhoto and iMovie are gone and now the App Store says I need to purchase them.
Why should I have to purchase them when I already own them from the purchase of my MacBook Pro? Getting a free Mavericks upgrade should not cause me to have to spend $30 to get the applications back that I already owned in the first place.
Please help me restore those two applications.

2 - to get them back you reinstall from the original source - which may be the restore disk that came with your computer, a purchased iLife upgrade or the app store using the Apple ID you used to set your computer up

As as to who should pay for yoru mistake -- obviously if your mistake creates a cost then you should pay the cost you created - pretty simple stuff
As to Time Machine - yes they should be there but it is better to reinstall them - copying from a backup dose not work well for applications

Where have the CS2 filters gone after leopard upgrade?

I have CS2 on a Powerbook G4 1.5Ghz operating on Leopard 10.5.7. The Powerbook was previously my brothers so I inherited all the software on it. CS2 was reinstalled after a recent upgrade from Tiger to Leopard.
Since then, I have had only 5 filter options in Photoshop - Blur, Noise, Pixelate, Sharp and Stylize.
I have searched everywhere for the files on the system, in case they were accidently moved, despite the fact I never mess around with the system folders.
I have been able to add plugins by placing them in MacintoshHD> Adobe> Plugins> CS2> File Formats. The plugin then appears in Photoshop.
Also, I noticed that when I go to Applications> Adobe creative suite> Adobe Photoshop CS2, there is no "plugins" file (like there is for Illustrator outline the filter options).
Im really missing the basic filters I used to have especially the halftone and its options.
I have searched this forum and notice someone had the same problem, but the suggested solutions have not helped me. I neither have a backup copy of CS2 or the original disk. The CS2 software is an educational package (from UCLA).
Would anyone have any advice on how I can get the basic filters back?

FYI, my family had 2macs. One with CS, the other with CS2. Both macs were upgraded to Leopard, then the computers were swapped around as I preferenced Photoshop CS2. Adobe have never mentioned anything about "pirated software" - in fact were most helpful when I rang them and they re-activated CS2 - consider your statement as "idiotic".

Pictures gone after gallery upgrade

All of my pictures have disapeared from my phone after the recent Gallery upgrade. Not only that but my phone will now not store any photos taken. I have tried settng the storage to the SD card but that didn't fix it. Fortunately I have Drop Box and all of my pictures had been automatically uploaded to a drop box folder but it is a problem to not be able to take any photos. (this from someone who once said I just want a phone and don't need all the fancy stuff )

The ! turns up when iPhoto loses the connection between the thumbnail in the iPhoto Window and the file it represents.
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In Library Manager it's the FIle -> Rebuild command)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

IPhoto library gone after Mavericks upgrade?

After upgrading, iPhoto tried to index but I don't believe it happened. Then the library disappeared. I retrieved the library from Time Machine but it won't load ie, no pictures! Next? On an iMac, 2008, 2.9 mghz dual core Intel.

Rebuilt, repaired etc library , no luck. Problem might be download of iPhoto. It shows the new iPhoto 9.5 on About iPhoto, however in Apps, it shows no record of download to 9.5 My other Mac, a MacBook has 9.5, works great and shows download on App. with a date. I'm guessing it never downloaded (fully) but shows it did on my iMac. Since I can't re-download, guess I'll call Apple :-(

Contacts gone after last upgrade

I know some have syncing issues with the contacts, but all of my contacts are gone and I am unable to add new contacts manually. Also, it does not read my Google contacts. What do I do now?

How were your contacts on the Z10 originally loaded?
Restart: Press and hold the upper edge power button about 20-30 seconds, ignore the 3-2-1 timer and hold until the screen goes black and you see the red LED.
Now, after 2-3 after the reboot, check your contacts icon again.

Wiki List gone after Wiki Upgrade 1.0

After installing the Wiki Upgrade 1.0 the list of wikis does not show up after logging in My Page. The Wiki is there as after typing in the wiki name like http://mini.local/groups/mywiki the wiki shows up, and the list does appears when logging with the administrator or diradmin account.
Something with access rights?

in the page http://mini.local/groups/mywiki/settings/ of all wikis I just set the wiki public and ten private again and assigned the individual privileges and all is fine again. I was so lucky I had only 2 wiki's

Iphoto library gone after software upgrade/update..Does anyone know how to get my pictures back?

Hello, I have a Macbook Air and 3 days ago, I had a "crucial update" on my computer but accepted it before looking at what it was for. When my computer auto restarted, my iphoto library was completely gone. Does anyone know how this could have happened?
I have the OS X 10.7.5 and iphoto 9.2.3... The update that I did may have been the Os X 10.7.5 but I did not look at what the update was being quickly clicking the accept button.
Unfortunately, I do not think that my pictures were backed up on the "time machine application". Any help would be great for how I can get my pictures back.

You should have been syncing all of this to your computer regularly.
Just sync it back.

Toshiba 40SL980G - Youtube app gone after firmware upgrade.

Hi,
So today i updated the firmware of my TV (40SL980G) and after the update the youtube app is missing and also the social place in Toshiba places is not accessible.
I have done reset TV after the update.
I have checked the firmware download page but this model isnt listed there.
Anyone here could help me on how to fix this i would really appreciate it.

Same thing with my TV 40TL968. Youtube, Dailymotion, Facebook and Twitter disappeared automatically.
It might have automatically updated the firmware and then those apps disappeared.
Can anybody please help sort this problem out?

Where has AME Gone after full Upgrade to CC

Hi There,
I finally updated all my apps to Creative Cloud versions and deleted to older CS6 versions. It seems that deleting the older versions has deleted AME. AME is not appearing as an option to download from Creative Cloud.
I realise that it normally comes with another application.
I have installed CC versions of:
Premiere
After Effects
Photoshop
Lightroom
Indesign
Iluustrator
Bridge
Acrobat
I attemtped to download a version from the adobe websirte, but it will not install and I receive and error message.
Please help.

SO it seems the only stand alone version of AME is a patch or an update? If this is wrong can you pelase supply a link to the stand alone version?
Otherwise, as it's not in my CC list of available applications then where is it?
