With 4.0 I can play Cafe World. With 9.0 it will not load. HELP!

Cafe World is a game on Facebook. Zynga says Mozilla 9.0 is not compatible with Cafe World. All my Cafe World friends had to downgrade back to 4.0 if they wanted to use Mozilla. I started using Google Chrome for a few months hoping it would be fixed soon. But then I gave up and downgraded to 4.0 so I could play the game on Mozilla because I like it better.

Can I back up files when my desktop will not load? Are they gone forever?

My desktop will not load. I have used the Tiger restore disk that came with my Macbook Pro and used Disk Utility to verify disk permission, repair disk permissions, and verify disk and repair disk. I rebooted and it will still not load my desktop. I tried this twice.
Is there anything else that I can do to copy some files off the mac, or should I just go ahead and reformat?

It's not very clear what you mean by this: can you log in? Do you get the spinning rainbow wheel, or nothing? or does it go back to the login window?

If you have another Mac, as your profile seems to indicate, you could look at his: How to use FireWire target disk mode. That will allow you to rescue your files.

Images with www in URL will not load

Okay so suddenly Firefox has decided that it cannot read file URLs that contain the www prefix. This means http://timelesschaos.com/transferFiles/411tribalChallenge.gif will load fine, but http://www.timelesschaos.com/transferFiles/411tribalChallenge.gif will not load at all. To be clear, it was working perfectly fine two days ago. This also holds true for a multitude of websites, and is not isolated to any one. I don't think I changed any settings, and I just updated firefox to be sure. They also work fine in other browsers.
If I try to directly view the content I get this message
"File not found
Firefox can't find the file at http://www.timelesschaos.com/transferFiles/411tribalChallenge.gif."
Again, getting rid of the www makes it work perfectly.

follow these steps to unblock images:
*Go to Tools > Options. Click the '''Content''' tab.
*In the Content section, next to '''Load images automatically''', click the '''Exceptions''' button.
*Now, find the site you want to re-allow images for, click it and hit the '''Remove''' button

How can I find out why update reader11.07 will not load on mavericks?

Is there an Adobe tech out there who can tell me why? or another user having the same issue?

I googled my problem and found myself at some place with a link
This was not an Adobe Forum.
I clicked the link (legitimate) and the update was perfect.
When I first went to adobe to update , it failed. Gave me some error thing.[ I never update from a popup.]
Only from the real website. I tried to get help from chat and they referred me to the forum where I guess you found my question.

Firefox was my default, it went to boxes with statements,now it will not load,

Firefox stopped working yesterday for no reason, when I open the default page, all I get is 9 oblong boxes stacked one on top of the other with statements and a search button for each one, but nothing happens, which means I cannot access my computer via firefox.

Thanks for the input, but it still didn't work. I tried resetting, then I reinstalled the Photobucket App. It asked me to sign in, but when I attempt to go to "My Albums" at the bottom of the page, it just freezes when it says "Loading Albums". Just like it did before.
At least the camera still works. I'm about ready to take a picture of a target, set it up about 50 feet away and use this **** thing for the one thing it's good for, catching a bullet.
What really ****** me off was when I wanted to speak to a live Apple employee for help. $19 for help fixing what is obviously a problem with their "update"?!?! I'm totally convinced that Apple could care less about their customers. Sure, some people are not experiencing problems with iOS6, but from the posts here searching for help, it's clear Apple totally dropped the ball on this one.

Help needed - app developed with 3.6, yet will not load - asking for 3.2 swz

I'm developing a flex 3 application
I recently uploaded an update to a test environment and bumped into a strage behaviour
the project started a while back and went through a number of versions of the sdk, namely 3.2, 3.5, 3.6
the project is clearly set for 3.6 now and I made sure both the framework swf & swz were uploaded to the same location of the index html page and the application swf.
for some wierd reason, when I test it on other computers, it displays the built in preloader, but fail to load the application,
this is because during the preloading phase the framework is not yet loaded and initialized.
when I checked the network monitor, it showd me a call to the 3.2 version of the flex framework, that could not be loaded
I've made sure again - a - that my project uses 3.6 sdk, and b - that all versions of the framework (3.2, 3.5, 3.6) are up on the server.
any Ideas on where I can go from here?

I've made sure all sdk's and dependencies in the project lead to the right location on the hard drive where the 3.6 SDK is located
it did not change anything
when I test it on other computers and check the network monitor
it still asks for 3.2 swz for an unknown reason
the thing is, even when I've uploaded 3.2 swz & swf to the server
the call for them is still returning a 404 not found...
this is really fastrating
any other ideas please?

My ipad 2, with IOS 7.1, will not load google maps.

The message I get is " There was a problem connecting to the network". My iPhone loads google maps on the same network.

Try resetting the iPad and then see if you can connect.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

1.42 Mac Mini with External Boot (HFS) will not Load Leopard

The Mac Mini will restart to start the loading from the DVD. The drive will spin up and will act like it is going to work then I get the wonderful "grey screen of death" telling me to power up the mac again. I have tried shutting down all other external drives but the one I need to install on. Even though I know the dive in the mini is bad I tried to run with only it and boot from the DVD and that didnt work either. Any help is greatly appreciated. I am not touching the MacBook till I see that this will work. Very dissappointed so far. Have never had an issue with upgrades from Apple before.
I have check my software update.. completely up to date. I have scoured the downloads for any firmware updates and the few I have found say I am not eligible for that update.

I disconnexted all drives and externals. Then tried again. That seemed to help. Have new issues which I am getting ready to post.

If the video is in flash, then the iPad can't play it natively. You need to use different browser apps to access flash content. I see Puffin, iSwiffer recommended a lot.
You may also want to see if BBC has an app. things sometimes work better through an app than they do just through safari

The only Iceberg app I can find in the app store is a social networking app, not an e-reader. I don't see how you could buy books for it.
UPDATE: I see that it isn't available in the US app store. To contact the developer find it in your App Store and there will be a link to the developer's support site.

The phone is in restore mode and the picture is telling you what to do. Connect the phone, by cable, to iTunes in the computer you normally use for syncing, and retore the phone.

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
