With a bluetooth keyboard is there a shortcut that controls the bold text feature in Pages?
I have a Kensington bluetooth keyboard for my Ipad2. Is there a keyboard shortcut for the bold feature in Pages?

I'm using a cheap keyboard i bought from eBay and i can actually type numbers in combination with the Ctrl button on the keyboard. So maybe there's some key you have to press and hold at the same time when you type numbers. Just try it out

After a great deal of searching I ran across the suggestion to disable all plug-ins and then, one by one, enable them until finally the problem was solved. I am not sure which plug-in was causing the problem, as I am satisfied to have the problem solved. I am going to leave the rest of the plug-in disabled.

Using FiOS Mobile with a Bluetooth Keyboard
My husband, who is blind, just tried using the new FiOS Mobile iPad app with a Bluetooth keyboard, and for the most part, it works well enough. However, several small but annoying problems exist for which neither of us have found a solution. They are:
1. No keys on the Apple Bluetooth keyboard do anything except the arrows. But sometimes it is impossible to navigate away from some of the buttons on the top end of the virtual remote down to the lower ones, especially the numbers buttons and the DVR control buttons.
2. Since no other keys on the keyboard perform any function that we can figure out, it makes it difficult to use the Bluetooth keyboard for entering channel numbers without reaching over to the iPad first, causing the app to focus on the bottom half of the virtual remote, then using the Bluetooth keyboard's arrows to find, then press, each digit. This must be done fairly quickly. Why not just fix it so that the keys on the Bluetooth keyboard's numbers row do this job, and other keys, or combinations thereof, move focus to other virtual remote buttons? What's the point of having the Bluetooth keyboard and not being able to control the app remotely? My husband uses the app to control the set-top box, right? Either we're doing something very wrong, or it's a little on the half-baked side.
3. And last but not least, we've tried selecting shows stored on the DVR via the app with the Bluetooth keyboard, and once again, either we're doing something wrong (probably), or ... you fill in the blank.
The app does most things very well. A little more thought might have gone into labeling some of the buttons, and an explanation that some of them, like the Keyboard button, are toggles, but that's minor compared with the three aforementioned points. Hopefully these can be addressed, and FiOS, if you're really listening, my husband is ready, double-plus-willing and able to help you beta-test anything with which you can come up to make this app better.

The number keys work fine on my Android BT keyboard, after I tap the keyboard item on the virtual remote. I am also able to enter numbers when selecting a channel in the guide area. -
Is there an app to control the volume of an iPhone 3GS?
I have an iPhone 3GS and the volume keeps going all the way down once I plug the headphones in. Before this started happening the volume would go all the way up. Before that even started happening the phone would repeatedly try to shut itself off and I had to keep pressing Cancel.
I did buy the phone off of eBay used, to try and go on a prepaid contract once my current contract ends. On the case itself, there are some minor scuffs and such, it does look like it was opened at a time. It still works perfectly, except for the volume glitch right now. Is there an app that controls the volume to keep it from going all the way down?. People say in forums and such to tighten the screws on the bottom (which I tried), and to also open the phone and see if there is anything blocking the volume control thing (like dust or anything) but I'm afraid to try that with the risk of causing further damage. What should I try?.to at least try and fix it if none of that works then replace it through apple

I just purchased my first iPad (the new one) and a wireless keyboard. Is there a keyboard usage manual available anywhere that shows the functions of the keys? The info that came with the keyboard was very basic and my searches have been unsuccessful.
If you are using a Bluetooth keyboard on your iPad device, you should take advantage of the keyboard shortcuts for quicker access to copy, cut, paste, undo, redo, and other commands.
Command + C : Copy Selected Text
Command + V : Paste
Command + X: Cut Selected Text
Command + Z: Undo
Command + Shift + Z: Redo
Command + Delete: Delete everything to the left of the cursor on the current line
Option + Delete: Delete the word to the left of the cursor
Command + Up Arrow: Go to top of document
Command + Down Arrow: Go to bottom of document
Command + Left Arrow: Go to beginning of current line
Command + Right Arrow: Go to end of current line
F1: Dim screen
F2: Brighten screen
F7: Back one song

I have a 27" desktop mac running with OSX 10.6.8. The bluetooth keyboard started not typing when some of the keys are pressed. Plugged in a wired keyboard, started doing the same thing. When opening up a browser or application, the cursor moves but cannot select anything. Suggestions?

Rather short-sighted of Apple perhaps, but that seems to be a trend these days.
I'm afraid the only fix is to upgrade to SL. Personaly, I'd take it back and get a refund and seek an older keyboard or a third-party one elsewhere. -

I bought a new mini in December. I've been fighting with getting it set up since. It refuses to see/pair with my bluetooth keyboard or mouse. How am I supposed to proceed with setup if I can't even get off the start-up screen???

Dear Apple. I have just installed Windows 7 64-bit full version Home Premium using Bootcamp and cannot get access to the internet. I installed on a Macbook Air Mid 2012 with Mountain Lion. Are there some drivers that are missing from the Windows 7 bootcamp install download from Apple
It is a Total Misconception that the Support files are installed when you are installing Windows, even if the USB drive that holds them is inserted in the system when doing the Windows install.
You must always Run the Setup.exe files from the support files or run the drivers individually once Windows has finished installing and booted to the desktop.
Also you really need to run the Boot Camp Control Panel Applet and check for updates as not all the newest drivers for full function of all the hardware is included with the original support download. That download is basically a generic version to get the system working and without doing the updates not everything will work properly. -

I can access Acrobat and MS Office programs, it's just the CS3 programs that I can't access. This is a user-to-user forum and most people will post on here if they have problems. You very rarely get people posting to say there update went smooth. The fact is the vast majority of Mountain Lion users will not be experiencing any major problems with the OS, or maybe with apps which are not compatible, but thats hardly Apple's fault if developers don't update their apps. -

No need to worry about the disk version. You would just have to install an update anyway as soon as it was installed. Download from the link provided below and use the serial number you have to activate.
