With a new modem do I have to set it up all over again?

I just moved home from college. I set the AirPort Express up while I was down there using a modem down there. I plugged in my AirPort Express at home and plugged in the ethernet cable from my home modem to my AirPort Express and it is not working. My question is, do I have to set up the AirPort Express all over again on my MacBook? It is the same MacBook by the way. Also, if this is the case, and I have to re-install the set up software, what do I do if I have lost the software? I hope I'm not screwed. Thanks.

Are the two modems of the same type, e.g. cable modem or DSL? What was connected to that home modem before you tried to connect the AirPort Express to it? Did you reset the home modem, perhaps by unplugging it for a few minutes, when you switched devices?
The AirPort Utility program that you used to configure the AirPort Express should still be installed on your Mac unless you deleted it. If you did that (why?), you can download it from Apple's Web site.

Put them back the same you did originally. Connect your iPad to your computer via USB and re-sync the music you want back to your iPad using iTunes.

My computer crashed and I lost everything. I got a new one and downloaded itunes all over again. When I plug my ipad in even after authorising my computer it will still not let me edit anything on the ipad. The screen is grey like on the ipad section and i cant select an app or anything. I have transfered purchase apps but all it does is take movies and tv shows accross. It wont transfer the apps into itunes. Please help

As far as I know, iTunes will still not change anything until you click on Apply in the lower right corner. I fiddle with my settings all the time - just so I can get a sense if what to expect should I make any changes - and I have never seen anything happen to my configuration unless I click on Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes. Not only that - you have turned off auto sync so as far as I know you still have to click on sync or apply in order for the iPad to sync with iTunes.
That doesn't mean it will not happen, I've never seen it happen - is all that I'm saying. I'm sorry but I'm not sure what will happen, but the only reason that I can of why the apps will not transfer is because of the manual manage setting. I could be wrong about that as well.
Look at this discussion - which I have referred quite a few users to read. I know this process has worked for a number of people that have read it and used the instructions in it. Maybe we are missing something - what that would be - I'm not quite sure, but take a look.

HT1498 Why do rented movies on AppleTV have to start the download all over again if I didn't watch it yesterday?

I rented a 1080p movie using AppleTV (3rd gen) several days ago. But the download time was so slow that I decided to let it download & watch it another day. Two days later I tried to watch it and the long slow download started all over again. So again I let it load intending to watch it the next day. When I wanted to watch it yesterday SAME THING ALL OVER AGAIN! Why is this happening? Isn't ATV's hard drive big enough to store it? The movie cover always showed in the "rented" section but obviously wasn't really there.

Yes - presumably you've set up Home Sharing and can stream from the Mac using the Computers icon to access your itunes library on AppleTV?
If you rent in iTunes you have to wait for the whole movie to download (appleTV lets you watch when it thinks the length of the movie is long enough to complete the download as you watch).
Once downloaded via iTunes it'll stay on the Mac for up to 30 days, but will also be available on AppleTV under a new Rentals column in the Computers section for your iTunes library - Rentals appears along with Movies, TV Shows etc but only when there's a fully downloaded rental to stream from the computer.
One thing to be aware of is that some titles are only available in HD on AppleTV not via iTunes.
You might want to experiment SD vs HD anyway as SD downloads far quicker.

What web browser are you using?
What type of connection do you have to your isp? phone line, dsl, cable, fios...

Every time I sync my iPhone with iTunes, it deletes the library and copies of the iPhone all over again, and I'm syncing at the same mac ever.

Have you ever had all 7 of them synced before? Are these ringtones you made yourself? Is there a chance they could exceed 30 seconds in length? Is there a chance you have moved the original file location on the computer? May need the answers to a couple more questions to try and determine an answer.

I have sent you several e mails through your system and never heard a word from anyone. I am very frustrated, because you always had good products. But, now when I have a problem, it is nearly impossible to get help.

I am trying to add a wireless printer to my MacBook Pro. It was working properly until we had to get a new modem. I have gone through the steps with the printer customer service rep, and it was working properly for one day. When I booted up the next morning, the printer was no longer "connected". It will work if I have the printer and computer connected, but I much prefer the wireless capability. Suggestions? The printer is a Brother MFC7860DW. The other laptop in the house (Dell) can print wirelessly so I don't think it's an issue with the modem or the printer.

Help with Time Capsule with a new modem

Hi,
I did a search and couldn't find what I'm looking for. What is the easiest way to setup my Time capsule with a new modem? I will be using wifi with the time capsule. I just got a new modem and the time capsule keeps flashing a amber light. It was working off wifi before I got the new modem.

There is only one right value for wireless now. Which I did list in the instructions.
WPA2-PSK (AES) for the arris.
WPA2-Personal for the TC.
Did you reboot everything when you disconnected the ethernet.. so the computer and TC can reallocate the IP addresses. This is important.
Reboot everything when you rearrange networks.. always do it.. even I am forced to do it.
Reboot in this order.. from off.. everything off.
Modem.. wait 2min
TC.. wait 2min
Computer.. this will now pick up a new IP from the whichever wireless is stronger.. should not make any difference if it is the TC or the Arris.
Now see if the TC is available in airport utility.
If it fails .. reconnect it by ethernet to the computer.
Give it a different wireless name .. ie the Arris and the TC will have different names.
And you are using "create a wireless network" in the TC.. no other option will work.
Update the TC so the setup is saved.
Unplug the TC from the computer and plug it into the Arris..
Now reboot everything.. sorry.. but it is the easiest way to clear up old settings and get everything going again.
Now in the computer you will need to open the airport and find the TC wireless.. and then you connect to it.
Once you connect direct to the TC you should have no trouble.
You can setup and fix any issues.. there are always a few silly things.. password default or wan setup .. choose ignore or change settings.
