Message says Adobe FLash Player 11.6 r602 has stopped working.
A probelm caused the program to stop working correctly.  Windows will close the program and notify you
if a solution is available.
This message has interferred with just about all web sites I go to.  It will not load properly.

I was experiencing the same issue this summer, and following the advice of several different methods I eventually removed the offending bits that were causing this error. It's been too long now, and I can't remember the exact sequence/method that worked for me.
My reason for replying is that I had not cleaned out my Recycle Bin since I had fixed the error, and during a virus scan today the trojan Sefnit.AU was detected...in my recycle bin. Reading about it here http://www.enigmasoftware.com/trojanwin32sefnitau-removal/ I see that It will run as a process under FlashPlayerUpdateService.exe. The timing of the error occuring, and me installing a (as I now realise) suspect P2P file sharing program(Bitlord), and the trojan appearing in my recycle bin has led me to assume that it was to blame for this error and the difficulty in removing it.
Run a scan if you haven't recently.

    I am so upset. Please read my messages from my postings. This has nothing to do with SIM Card, Hard Reset, Apps, Google Gmail Account, nothing. Well guess what, it's not a error with "MY" Gmail account being corrupted because if that is the case Mrs. Hayden14 has a bad Gmail account too. If you guessed it, the phone just crashed again! I was able this time to capture a report with ALL the history in it and saved screen captures to PROVE to him this is not a joke. Even the report says "Crash". This time it was something else I don't even or ever have used. I have also wasted over a day , yes a full work day on this without question.
    I have had to get the run around for the last day. This is totally ridiculous, including them putting me on hold for 55 min. Oh, that's another funny story. Anyways, tomorrow morning I am going to the Verizon store one last and final time and I hope they decided to do the right thing and give me a phone that does not crash and works. It would be handy at work for me, especially where I work at. I hope hope hope someone listens to and helps me. I would love for them to see me walk in, take my phone and say to me were going to get you another phone, hand it to me, see if it works and prove it's the device. I don't hear anyone having this issue on other phone types so sounds like its the phone type.
    I have had 3 phones now in the matter of 2 weeks. I am sure the FedEx charges will add up to a cost of a new phone at some point and start to outbalance your requirement to give me the same phone when it has the same problem.
    Can't wait to see what happens tomorrow.

    You have researched this issue and yet admitting not just on Verizon but other carriers as well you then feel hesitant to renew and get a device from Verizon. That "Bug" was done to all providers.
    I always look to the Android Forums or XDA to see if solutions or fixes have been listed. I like to also Google it and many times the solutions are found.
    Verizon tech support on the phone may have an answer 1-800-922-0204 or *611 from your mobile device. Verizon will only give you what they have as a possible solution on their database.

So I thought I would try here to see if Verizon has come up with a fix for this, if I should get another phone, or if they are working on a software update or something.     I am using the messaging app that was preloaded with the phone, the green face icon. I do not have an "Android Keyboard" app, but I have cleared the cache on the "Messaging" app, several times. I have also gone to the Verizon store where an associate did a soft reboot, telling me that would work. A very short time later, the error message started appearing again--so this did not work either.
    The error message comes very sporadically. Sometimes several in a few minutes, other times not for hours.

  • Adobe Flash Player  11.6 r602 has stopped working

    I get this message whenever I try and watch a video, same message for any page that uses flash, same message no matter which browser I'm using. This problem began with version 10, and I was using older versions of Flash Player until the other day when it would no longer work due to security issues--the message was that the older version of flash would no longer work...I needed to update the player. So, I did, and we're back to the same problem of Flash Player has stopped working message popping up over and over again. It doesn't seem to be the browsers since I get the same message in all of them. Possibly it is the hardware acceleration, but the two pathways to disabling hardware acceleration don't work.   When I try to see the current version (so I can right click and get to settings), the version won't show. The other strategy, right cliking on the video, also won't work because the video won't show after Flash Player has stopped working. My graphics card is a Radeon x1950, and I'm running 32 bit Vista Home Premium.  There is a ton of information on line about dealing with a balky flash player, but nothing that seems to address this problem.     Many people have the same problem. However, there is little or nothing readily available to users. This problem has existed for two or more years. Does anyone have anything to offer about this disturbing problem?

    9.0.115 and 9.0.124 and both fail with the policy permission error.
    I also tried with and without your crossdomain.xml file but
    with the same result. It looks like this file is intended for URL
    policy, instead of socket policy. Recently Adobe separated the two.
    When I run with the files installed on my dev PC, it does
    work, which makes sense because the flash player isn't loaded from
    an unknown domain.
    I did get one step closer. If a crossdomain.xml in the server
    root exists and the socketpolicy file is loaded from the app folder
    then the first two warnings disappear. The logs now show:

    UPDATE: When serving up the policy file on port 843 using the

  • I get the "firefox has stopped working" message after closing browser

    Hello.
    My problem is that when I close the FireFox browser I get the "FireFox has stopped working" message. It's pretty annoying. I've read some other posts here that described a similar problem and have tried some of the suggestions in them including:
    A clean install, a browser reset, running in safe mode, unchecking hardware acceleration, disabling extentions and plugins one at a time, uninstalling my antivirus (avast), rolling back to version 23.01 and checking run in compatibility mode that someone claimed helped them. None of this was effective.
    It seems like after a computer restart the browser will be ok for 2-4 closings and then it will start with the message on every closing. Also, after I uninstalled avast it was good for 6 closings. Rolling back also gave me about 6 message free closings. But then the messages start and doesn't stop.
    Is there anything else I can try? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

    One thing is for sure, and that is if the only page i visit is the Google homepage (not logged in) or this site (mozilla forum), the problem does not occur, ever. I can't make it happen.
    If i visit yahoo.com (not logged in) (or ighome.com, logged in), as examples, it happens every time.

  • I get a "Palm desktop by access applicatio​n has stopped working" message when switching to the Month calendar view.

    I have a Z22 and am running Access version 6.2.2 on a PC with Vista.
    When I move from Day, Week or Year to Monthly view in the Calendar, I get the "Palm Desktop by Access Application has stopped working" (and then the Windows message saying they are checking for a solution, which they never seem to find).
    Does any one know 1) how to fix this and 2) what is the cause ?  Am I running old software which I need to update ?

    Thank you, aeisha_anis for the steps to correct this problem.  I verified that I must have corrupted calendar data as the PALM Desktop does come up and work when I follow your first 4 steps and remove the data from it.  I can't, however, get through the importing step at the end of your instructions.  I've tried a few times and am afraid I may have messed up the data file as it now is only showing a datebook. mdb and a datebook.bak file under the DateBook folder I copied to my desktop, but no datebook.dab folder as it was showing before and I never did find the datebook.dat file you mentioned.  I still have all of my current calendar data on my Palm Centro but I can't get it to sync with the Palm Desktop without getting the "Palm Desktop by ACCESS Application has stopped working" message.  Do you have any ideas on how to fix this problem?  Thanks much!

    Hi - are you getting it at the start of installation, during or after 100% progress has finished?
    Is it just LabVIEW you're installing, or is it drivers too, in which case, what was the last large package that was installing at the time?

    After upgrading iTunes, I'm getting the dreaded "iTunes has stopped working" message after launch.  I've tried the troubleshooting tips on the Forum without success (though most are pretty old...).  Fortunately, iTunes works on my other computers, but I have iPad backups on this one that I'd like to keep.  Anybody else with this issue??

    My inclination is that it is something in the projects or in the manuals being linked that is the culprit because that is where the consistency lies - projects were created identically and manuals all follow identical formats. The problem typically only occurs after the project has been successfully created and the manual is subsequently updated and I am syncing the manual in RH so I can generate a new AIR file. This is the first time the project has consistently corrupted every time I try to generate the Word document after linking it in RH. This makes little sense to me since it generated fine a couple weeks ago and I did nothing special when I updated it in Word yet when I tried to update it in RH, that is when it originally corrupted. The bottom line is that I cannot 100% trust that any project I run will work the next time. I end up just crossing my fingers and hoping for the best.
    My problems seemed to start once I went to RH9 (from RH8) because we had upgraded from MS Office 2003 to the 2010 version and I needed 9 for the docx extension. Like I said, it is not all the time - I can be beating my head against the wall getting one of the projects to work, then create 3 more projects that have no problems and then the next one leaves me wanting to throw my PC through a window....
    Deleting the CPD does not corrupt the project, it just removes my default linked document that allows me to circumvent linking the styles individually for that project. Once I have a manual linked and I remove the CPD, it just creates a new one. What I am saying is that if I delete the CPD file, it does not prevent the project from corrupting nor does it make the corrupted project viable again.

  • One solution for 'iTunes has stopped working' message

    This worked in my case for iTunes 10.5 on a Dell Inspiron 1525 running 32-bit Vista. Symptoms started after I had to re-install it. Suddenly, whenever I tried to dl anything from the store, the dl would hit 100%, then I'd get the error message and DEP would then shut down the program. Upon re-starting, the dl wouldn't be in my apps list. (However, the actual dl WAS in my iTunes folder -- it's just that iTunes couldn't 'see' it.)
    I followed all all -- and I mean ALL -- the Apple guides over the course of 2 days with no success, even after numerous re-installs. Also tried every obsure suggestion I came across in the forums here -- and there were a lot!
    What finally worked for me were the suggestions at this link:

    Following the suggestions there, I discovered uninstalled 'debris' residing in the App Data\Local and App Data\Roaming folders, specifically two Apple folders with content. I manually deleted these. These locations aren't mentioned in the Apple guide to manually uninstalling your iTunes. (http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1923)
    I also discovered debris throughout the registry which I removed manually with regedit. (Make backups of your registry before you go rummaging around in there! The usual warnings apply...)
    I also found two Quicktime files residing in the main Windows directory. (Ver 10.5 no longer installs Quicktime and I had un-installed my previous versions) I don't think these made a difference but 'off with their heads' anyway.  (^-~)
    BTW, all of this occurs after I used Revo Uninstaller in moderate mode. So even it didn't catch all the leftover debris. (I'm not brave enough to try it on a more aggressive setting...)

    I open itunes and a message comes up after a minute "itunes has stopped working". I got the update automatically to my Windows 7 64 bit pc 10.5.0.142.  After reading tons of probelms online about version 10.5
    I have decided to do nothing for now.  Seems people are putting hours into trying to fix it.  I was going to uninstall and reinstall but seems that isn;t working for to many people.
    How do we get some help from apple?

    Try using the Microsoft PST Repair tool, usually located in (depending on your office version, 12,14 and x86 or x64):

    run it on your PST , usually located:
