With Firefox as my default browser, links in E-mails or E-mail web pages will not open. When IE is default browser, links open fine, SUP???

I have Windows 7. This problem happened all of a sudden, possibly after a Firefox update??

Thanks for the link but none of those described the problem. No error message pops up. It just says "Accessing Itunes Store" but it never actually does. This only occurs when my iPhone is plugged in though.

What is happening with Firefox; it is getting slower & slower from v5 thru 6 & now v7; it basically will not load webpages on start and is then very slow?

Since V5 thru v6 and now v7 firefox has been getting slower & slower particularly at logon and is now virtually useless.
IE9 is working Ok.
Problem is occurring on two different computers.
Have doe necessary maintenance clearing cache, etc and on computer running registry mechanic, win Optimiser * and norton computer maintenance regularly
Any suggestions appreciated?

Page will not open with default PDF viewer of preview

Installed adobe, did not like..removed. Now PDF page for local newspaper will not open default of preview reader, keeps looking for adobe. Want to make certain Preview is default PDF viewer, it look like it is..but how to get page to open like it did previous to installing/removing adobe.

look in HD/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/ & move/trash the Adobe PDF viewer plugin; restart any browsers & things should behave again.

I right click on link, click, open in new window, then nothing happens. Or, windows within a page will not open, for example, on gmail, when I click "details" the window will not open.

When I right click on a hot link, then click, open in a new window, a window will not open. Alternatively, I can click, open in a new tab, and a new tab will open. Additionally, if I'm at a website with a chat feature, the chat window will not open, or, as another example, if I'm at gmail, and I click "details", the window that opens giving the summary of when your account has been opened and the IP addresses it's been accessed from, will not open.
I have on the computer, Aurora too. I doubt that it's a source of the problem, but I had to throw that into the mix. For clarification, this problem is happening while using the Firefox browser.

Firefox will display hotmail e-mail inbox, but will not open them

Firefox will be able to load Hotmail and display your inbox- but will not respond when clicking on any emails, options like new and reply, or junk mail and other folders. The mouse works fine with all other programs and Hotmail runs as normal on other browsers, making it a seemly Firefox only problem.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
*Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Some of the buttons on web pages will not work with firefox but will with IE, is there a fix or do i need to uninstall firefox

going through my account at verizon pay bill get to a submit button, it will not work. go back to site with IE everthing find. Happened mant times before, but sometimes i restart the page and it works, not the last time, i had to use IE

My home page will not load when I open Firefox but features show up in column on left and bookmarks are there.

My home page opens with features in a column on the left and bookmarks are available but the center section (features) is blank. Home page with features appeared at first opening of FF, then would not open normally after opening a feature but would not open normally when going back to home page. No not at all.

This can be a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

IMac with 10.6. Firefox opens but does web pages will not load. It just "thinks" indefinately. Can't think what may have caused, just stopped working one day

If you are using a third-party firewall, you might want to check that. Other security software can also cause problems with an updated version of Firefox.

Ihave a Mac Air laptop, running Lion OS-10.7.1) I have downloaded Firefox(6-2.02.dmg to desktop, and put it in Applications,but it will not open or go into Dock.

If you tried to install Firefox in the system Applications directory, did you type in your admin password to get it to go in? Adding anything to that directory requires me to enter the admin password. Mind you, I do not install Firefox in there. I set up another Applications directory in my standard account and then created subdirectories for various categories in that. That is where I install Firefox.

The news (stories) I want to read on my home (sympatico.ca) page will not open. It appears to be a Firefox problem that has just started as they open using EXPLORER.

When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
1. Clear Firefox's Cache
Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage: "Clear Now"
2. If needed, delete the site's cookies here
right-click a page on the site, choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
Remove all cookies on servers ending with sympatico.ca
Then try reloading the page. If you need to log in to read stories, you probably will have to log in again after removing their cookies.
