With firefox open, it will not automatically open again. I have to click on file/new window

Hello, on first opening of firefox it automatically opens the home page but then every time I need to open again I have to go to file and either click on new tab/window/location or go to bookmarks and open a page from bookmarks. On my other laptop and PC it's automatically open when clicking on the firefox symbol. Please can you advise the error. I have been onto preferences and can find no solution. Thank you

Given there are so many problems and removed features in Pages 5, why not just continue using Pages '09?

    Others are having problems accessing MSN on Safari on older Safari versions.
    You may have better luck accessing the MSN website on the Firefox browser.
    You may be able to upgrade to Mavericks if your Mac meets the requirements >  OS X Mavericks: System Requirements
    That way you can update Safari to 7.1.

  • I upgraded IClick DVD Copy, but it will not work with Firefox. It has not been upgraded since I have been with firefox. Is there anything I can do?

    I went to use 1 Click DVD Copy and there was an upgrade, so I went to the web site and downloaded the new version. After it was downloaded, I tried to use it; however, the disk to click to copy CD's was distorted and messed up my desktop. I did not have this problem the last time I did this when I was not with Firefox.

    I work on two screens. With the new updates we cannot automatically open a new window on the second screen, but have to move them over manually. Not a huge problem, but because of the nature of the work, it gets tedious.

    Thank you for your question, I understand that it is annoying to have to move a new window to the second screen. Since it opens in the active screen this may have been a stored preference, however it is not the default.
    There is an add on called [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/monitor-master/ Monitor Master] that customizes settings like this. Check it out.

  • Open tabs are not on tab strip. Have to click on List All Tabs button to find tabs. Tabs used to display on tab strip and stopped doing this. Suggestions?

    Been using Firefox for years, running Windows XP. This morning when I opened pages in another tab, did not see them on tab strip. Only way to find them is to click on List All Tabs Button and it shows list. Cannot get them to display on tab strip. If I open in another window, it works, like it should. If I click on plus sign on tab strip it opens another tab, but can't see the previous ones except with List All Tabs Button. Any suggestions on how to turn tab strip back on? Thanks, jayem33

    If it works in a new window then you can drags tabs from the not working window to that new window.
    You can also try to close the tabs via Ctrl+W and restore the closed tabs via Shift+Ctrl+T

    When a movie clip contains an object with a z value, I can not edit the object in place, it goes into a seperate window.
    This changes the vanishing point relative to the movieclip instead of the stage (allong with everything else).
    This makes it very hard to keep track of where the movieclips will end up when actualy playing the animation.

    I should have explained my situation a little better. I have a machine that's made up of a number of parts, some of them are fairly large and some are quite small. When a user clicks on a part, I want to center that part on the screen and then move whole machine toward the screen until the selected part either fills the screen (for the larger parts) or the part bumps up against the front clip plane (for the smaller parts).
    I didn't think of checking for a collision with the ViewPlatform's TG, thanks for mentioning that. I wasn't sure how the ViewPlatform's location relates to the clipping plane, but I'll dig into it. I'm still learning how the ViewingPlatform, the image plate, and the clipping planes all relate to each other.

  • Application Error, certain sites not showing everything and will not automatically open downloaded files

    When I open Firefox I get the Application Error message "The instruction at "0x00000000" reference memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be "read". Click on OK to terminate the program" Firefox does then open but parts of sites are missing such as videos or animations. checked the plugins and all are up to date.     When I open Safari by clicking on the icon in the dock, the menu at the top looks like Safari is open, but no window opens. I then have to click on:
    File>New Window to actually open a window and browse.
    This just started happening.
    Any solutions out there?

    I copied the file that is meantioned to the desktop, opened it by doubleclicking and searched for ”OpenWindow”. You'll find it a few lines from top. It has no number typed so I typed ”1” and closed the app. It asked me to save with extension ”.ooutline”. You can save it with that extension but on the desktop you'll need to re-name its extension to ”.plist”. I did that and dragged the file back to its original location. You'll be asked if you would like to replace the file, click Yes. Now I have a Safari opening the window as usual.
    This can happen in case you re-install the operative system on your Mac, the Safari is updated but the Safari on the CD is older, which is overwriting your newer Safari you already have with the older version from the CD-ROM and this problem occur: you see Safari opening up, you see the menues on top of your screen but no window is open in Safari.

    It's not specific sites. I can middle-click on the same link 50 times and it will open it in a new tab 45 times and 5 of those times, it will randomly open it in an entirely new window. I don't know what's causing this.
    It happens so randomly that I don't know how to pin-point what it could be.

In the new location, set up the Wi-Fi service with the same settings you used before. Click Apply and test.
    6. Launch the Keychain Access application. Search for and delete all AirPort network password items that refer to the network. Make a note of the password first.
    7. Repair permissions on the startup volume.
    8. Turn off Bluetooth and test.
    9. Reset the System Management Controller.
    10. Reinstall OS X.
