With ios6 where do my pictures go when I click "Save Photo" from Facebook? I can't find where they are being saved.
I just downloaded IOS6 and now I can't seem to save pictures from Facebook to my iPhone. I click on the picture as I always have and click "save photo", however I can't find where these pictures are being saved. They are not showing up in my photos folder as they once did. Please help!
I was having the same issue and just figured it out. There's a setting you have to turn on to allow Facebook to access your photos. One it's turned on it starts working. Here is the location:
Settings > Privacy > Photos > turn facebook to ON

Hi! I just uploaded thousands of photos from my ipad to my iphoto on my macbook pro and when it notified me that it uploaded successfully and asked if I wanted to delete the photos on my ipad...I stupidly deleted them. But my main problem is that I cannot find these photos ANYWHERE! I searched every event and latest import and there was no luck. It's as if they were never imported in the first place. These photos are dear to me, please help!!!

BUT! I used "Find Any File" demo software and it helped me find the "photos" but they weren't in iphoto, but on my mac(still not too sure where it was found.)
Do you have "Find Any File" still open?
If you click one of the found images, it will show you the path to the image files.Could you post what you are seeing then?
Does the path start with your Home folder or outside? Desrcibe exactly the the names of the nested folders.
Now my new problem is that the photos that were uploaded(or found) are tiny and pixelated. What i'm hoping is that I found a cheap version of the photos that were uploaded or something,
Perhaps you found the thumbnails folder - if you can give us the path there, we may be able to find the matching Masters or Originals folder. -
MY printer won't print some coupons. I have downloaded the coupon printer but it still wont work. I keep getting a message that says to change my setting so that it won't save the items printed but I can't find that option in the settings anywhere. Suggestions???
where are you printing them from ? I think it should be under system preferences/printing
or under your printer's preferences control panel. If you want a quick solution, take a screenshot of the coupon and print that (command+shift+3) or for a better snapshot command+shift+4..
usually they'd be saved as jpeg's, or bmp's or some kind of pictures. try looking in user/yourname/documents or user/yourname/downloads

Since installing ios 6 on mynipad 2 when I try to save a picture from facebook I get saved but it is not in my photos. Also on other sitesvsaving pictures get data not available.

HT201269 Will my photos from my iPhone stay on my iPhoto when i click delete photos from phone?
I need more memory on my iPhone and want to turn off photo stream but i already have some photos saved on my macbook pro's iphoto and i was hoping that if i turn it off and continue to save my photos on iphoto if it won't delete the photos on iphoto that i have already and just add the ones that it doesn't have? I really have sentimental photos that are filled with memories and am worried that my pictures will be deleted.
Please anyone with any knowledge of this PLEASE HELP!
Thank you!Turn photo stream off. Import all your photos to a file on your computer. Now whatever you delete on your phone will still be on your computer.
Just dont sync those folders back to your phone or you will put them all back on your phone. And if you sync empty folders from phone to computer or vice versa you will clean out your phones pictures.
what I recommend is once the pictures are on a file on your computer, copy and paste them all to a usb thumb drive. viola, no lost pics -
Having issue with sending jpeg attachments. Acknowledging that all my email/internet providers are functional and the usual parameters have been checked I currently have the following concern. When attaching, in any fashion, via all methods, jpeg files of 6GB+ they are being sent and received as 70KB+/- attachments? Have a I missed some simple setting or is this a function of iPhoto. I can send the same full size jpeg attacments via Windows based laptops usuing same services, same location; and have had no previous issue using a previous Windows PC.
Appreciate any input.

Photos download to my computer when I click on them from Safari...

When I click on photos from the web (like from google images or blogger...) Instead of opening them in a new window they automatically download to my disk. It didnt used to do this- how can I disable it? It is really annoying when I am trying to open an image just to look at it and now there are all these stupid photos in my download folder...Try downloading Firefox from this page. <br />

When I open Muse it comes up with a 'new version is available' and when I click on 'install now' it takes me to the adobe muse website where I click on the 'Download' button. It will then come up with 'Muse is downloading now'. It will then take me back to the Muse app again with the same 'install now' message. The new version has not installed, could some one please let me know the reason why it isn't installing.
Hi Jeff I have uninstalled Muse from my applications and have tried to download the new version but it displays a message 'file not found'. I have included a screenshot.

I'm having trouble with importing them into iTunes and converting them at the same time. when i hold down option over the files i can't find where its supposed to say create new version. is this if you're in iTunes?
You can't do it in one step. Add to iTunes first, Once the tracks are in iTunes you may convert to a different format.

Assuming you're using iPhoto 09 or later.
By default the photos are stored in the iPhoto Library in your Pictures Folder.
The iPhoto Library is a Package File. This is simply a folder that looks like a file in the Finder. This is a simple protection from users inadvertently corrupting their library by browsing through it with other software or making changes in it themselves.
Want to look inside? Go to your Pictures Folder and find the iPhoto Library there. Right (or Control-) Click on the icon and select 'Show Package Contents'. A finder window will open with the Library exposed.
Standard Warning: Don't change anything in the iPhoto Library Folder via the Finder or any other application. iPhoto depends on the structure as well as the contents of this folder. Moving things, renaming things,, deleting them or otherwise making changes will prevent iPhoto from working and could even cause you to damage or lose your photos.
As an FYI: There are many, many ways to access your files in iPhoto: You can use any Open / Attach / Browse dialogue. On the left there's a Media heading, your pics can be accessed there. Command-Click for selecting multiple pics.
(Note the above illustration is not a Finder Window. It's the dialogue you get when you go File -> Open)
You can access the Library from the New Message Window in Mail:
There's a similar option in Outlook and many, many other apps. If you use Apple's Mail, Entourage, AOL or Eudora you can email from within iPhoto.
If you use a Cocoa-based Browser such as Safari, you can drag the pics from the iPhoto Window to the Attach window in the browser.
If you want to access the files with iPhoto not running:
For users of 10.6 and later: You can download a free Services component from MacOSXAutomation which will give you access to the iPhoto Library from your Services Menu.
Using the Services Preference Pane you can even create a keyboard shortcut for it.
For Users of 10.4 and 10.5 Create a Media Browser using Automator (takes about 10 seconds) or use this free utility Karelia iMedia Browser
Other options include:
Drag and Drop: Drag a photo from the iPhoto Window to the desktop, there iPhoto will make a full-sized copy of the pic.
File -> Export: Select the files in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export. The dialogue will give you various options, including altering the format, naming the files and changing the size. Again, producing a copy.
Show File: a. On iPhoto 09 and earlier: Right- (or Control-) Click on a pic and in the resulting dialogue choose 'Show File'. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected. 3.b.
b: On iPhoto 11 and later: Select one of the affected photos in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Reveal in Finder -> Original. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected. -
When I download photos from a flash drive,everything is fine and they show in Events and Pictures, but when I click on the individual pic I get an error message saying that it cannot locate the JPG. Any thoughts?
It sounds like your iPhoto Advanced preferences are set to not copy photos during import, i.e. a Referenced library:
Check your Advanced preferences to see if that's the case. If it is the best solution would be to select the checkbox to copy the photos and reimport the photos from the flash drive. Then check the new import. It it was OK you can delete the previous event with the "missing" photos.

When I print pictures from my IMAC to my Hp C8180 they are grainy, even when I select the Best Quality- Why can't I get good quality printing from Imac ? Use the same printer with a PC and printed the same picture files- they are printed with high quality- Why can't the IMAC do the same?
Does this involve iPhoto for the Mac?

When I select a photo from the Photo Library, the wrong picture displays. I'm unable to find the picture selected, making it very difficut to apply wall paper or to contacts. Why is this happening?
I restarted the phone and forced the app to close and neither resolved the issue. I then had the bright idea to remove the sync of photos and remove all the photos from the device. I checked the Photos app and it was empty. I then synced again with the photos selected and all the pictures were restored. The photo library now displays the photo I select.
