With my Car Stereo Receiver CDX-GT360MP can I set up Sirius XM Song Alerts?

Am trying to figure out if with my Car Stereo Receiver CDX-GT360MP can I set up Sirius XM Song Alerts and rewind/pause the live feed?  All else is working perfectly for me.
Thanks!

Hello Madeline,
The Sony CDX-GT360MP comes ready for SiriusXM programming with access to XM and Sirius Satellite Radio stations. You can add the optional SXV100V or SXV200V1 SiriusXM Connect tuner and receive more than 150 channels of exclusive programming directly from SiriusXM, via the "SiriusXM All Access" package (subscription required).
You can also pause, rewind, and replay up to 60 minutes of live satellite radio broadcasts by using SXV200V1 Tuner.

  • Working iPod 5th Gen with Alpine Car Stereo CMA9855

    Hi
Just wondering whether anyone has tried using the latest iPod with Alpine Car Stereo CMA 9855 with an iPod interface.
Problem - not all artists show up on the stereo screen + can't get quick search to work. Is it an alpine stereo software problem?
    Appreciate any feedback.
    Dom

I have a Clarion Pro Audio deck/Clarion IPOD connector. My system worked great up until IPOD SW 1.2.
Before, I could control the IPOD on the face of the IPOD. Now, the IPOD works, but it's in locked mode, so I can't browse artists/albums any more. Baiscally, I have to hit RANDOM TRACK mode, and hope I land on a CD I'm in the mood for.
Very frustrating, although GAPLESS is great. (FINALLY!!!!)

  • I use an iphone 3gs can i set one of the song as ring tone or i will only be able to use the inbuilt ringtones?

i use an iphone 3gs can i set one of the song as ring tone or i will only be able to use the inbuilt ringtones?

    yes you can
    A. how to make a ringtone using iTunes
First, open up iTunes in order to make a ringtone using iTunes. Find the song you want to turn into a ringtone by browsing through your music library.
Next, find exactly what part of the song you want to make a ringtone using iTunes. For example, if you want to use a specific section of the song from 21 seconds to 40 seconds, make a note of where you want the ringtone to begin and end.
Now, right click on the song you want to turn into a ringtone. Click "Get Info". Now, in order to make a ringtone using iTunes, click the "Options" tab.
Check the "Start Time" check box. Type in the point in the song where you want the ringtone to start in the format "minute:seconds" (e.g. the second mark would be 0:20). You can also be more precise by adding a period and putting milliseconds in after that (e.g. 0:20.150, would be 20.150 seconds). Also, click the "Stop Time" check box and enter where you would like the ring tone to end. Keep in mind ringtones can only be around 39 seconds maximum. Press "Ok". We are almost done making a ringtone in iTunes
Now, right click on the same song. Select "Convert AAC Version". If it is in another file format, you can go to "Edit" then "Preferences" and under the "General" tab click "Import Settings"; change the file format to AAC. After you select "Convert AAC Version" a new file will be created, but it will only be the segment of the song that you specified earlier.
Now, you have to find the file you just created. Right click on the new, shorter song and select "Open in Windows Explorer". The file extension should be .m4a. Rename the extension to .m4r by right clicking the file and selecting "Rename".
Now you can delete the shortened version of the song in your iTunes library. Then, double click the .m4r file and it will loaded into your iTunes Ringtone list. Now you can make a ringtone using iTunes!

  • Why can't my g3 work with my car stereo while connected with the usb cable? It works via the bluetooth, but I get no song info on the radio.

    Any ideas?

Thank you for reaching out to us, jmush. There are so many options to listen to music from cars nowadays. It's awesome and really convenient. Unfortunately, some features may not work correctly due to software both from devices and headunits. While, bluetooth can display your phone name and contacts, it may not display song ID3 tags, etc.
With regards to plugging it in via the USB cable, you can try setting your phone to storage mode, and the headunit may be able to read stored music found in your phone, but it may not be compatible. http://www.verizonwireless.com/support/knowledge-base-113331/

  • Why is my iPod touch not working with my car stereo after the update?

I updated to iOS 6 and now my iPod will not play when I plug into my car stereo with the USB port and cable. I am very frustrated!

    You can try:
    - Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
However, sometime an iOS update breaks compatibility. If that is the case you will have to wait for either the car manufacturer or Apple to issue a an update to correct the problem.

  • IOS 4.x.x. not working with some car stereos?

This last friday I bought a Pioneer car stereo, the 4200ub to be exact, and whenever I try to use the usb input on it it gets error-19. Error-19 is a communication error with the stereo and the iPhone. I've tried new cables, to reboot the phone, unplugged it and plugged it back in, restarted the car, and restored the iPhone. I've posted on the Crutchfield forums about this issue and they seem to think its an issue with the iPhone new firmware, iOS 4.x.x. They say it has screwed up compatibility for most alpine car stereos and some pioneer and clarion. I don't know what else to do but, if this issue isn't fixed soon I guess i'm going to have to rma the radio.

I bought an iphone 4 at the end of December so I'm not sure what iOS I was running. I just bought a new car stereo system 2 weeks ago to use with my iPhone.
I spent 2 grand on Alpine head unit and Focal components and sub. My phone worked fine through the USB on the drive home.
That night I updated to 4.3.1. Problems appeared immediately. Static hiss and pops and crackles. I cannot listen to my music. Terrible Apple. Terrible. Please fix. I chose my stereo based on iphone compatibility and ease of use through USB connection. The update rendered it all useless the day I spent a ton of money.
I've left feedback. I guess I'll post in any related forum. Let's try to make some noise so Apple can address this issue.
    PLEASE!
    - A poor pathetic fool who spent way more than he should have on his car stereo only to regret it after updating to iOS 4.3.1

  • What is the best way to connect my old 1st generation iPhone to my stereo receiver so I can listen to pandora?

What is the best way to connect my first generation iPhone to my stereo receiver so that I can listen to Pandora through the stereo?

I am hoping someone will answer this question you have asked. I just purchased the iSimple Gateway system and even though it says on the box that it works with the iphone3G when I plug it in to the 30pin connector it says that it does not support. It does work when I plug an iPhone4G . I have to use the headphone jack only with my 3G to listen to Pandora untill I figure out the problem .

  • IPOD frozen after use with Jensen car stereo with IPOD control cable

I recently installed a Jensen MSR7007 stereo and connected the IPOD mini with a special Jensen cable that allows the IPOD to be controlled from the radio without having to touch the IPOD. It works beautifully and the IPOD display reads "JENSEN RADIO" while it is playing. However when I disconnected the IPOD it was frozen (locked up) with the Jensen Radio display still on it. It was inoperable when I disconnected it and I couldn't even turn it off.
    Please Help.

I am having a similar problem - I just purchased a pioneer DEH-P690UB indash car stereo, but I can not get the radio to recognize my iPod mini (N/A USB). The installar has a newer iPod, which worked when he tested the system, so I have been looking for the new firmware to see if that will help.
Can anyone direct me to the firm ware downloads?

  • Using my ipod shuffle together with my car stereo

I tried to use a normal cable o listen to my ipod shuffle in the stereo I have in my car and it didn't work. Is there a special cable or it only works with the its own headset?

    Hi-
From the Apple Support site http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3472:
When a standard headphone or audio accessory is connected, you can initiate audio playback by simply switching iPod shuffle from the OFF position to the play in order or shuffle position. The iPod shuffle should be in the OFF position for at least three seconds before switching it back on. iPod shuffle will resume playback of the content that was previously being played at a fixed volume level. This volume level cannot be adjusted from the iPod itself. If iPod shuffle is connected to external speakers or a car stereo, volume adjustment may be possible from those devices.
iPod shuffle will pause audio playback when the device is switched off or when the audio accessory is disconnected
    Hope this helps

  • Using a dock with a car stereo

I just installed an Alpine car stereo that allows me to control my iPod with the controls on the stereo's face. It works great if I connect the iPod to the end of the Alpine supplied cable, but gets stuck in "searching" mode if I try to use an iPod dock at the end of the cable. I really would prefer to use the dock. I have to believe that not all of the contacts on the dock pass through - so the Alpine can not fully comunicate with my iPod. Does anyone know if the is a dock avaialble the allows a truely full conection? BTW the dock works fine on my computer, and home stereo. Thanks

All users know is what has been released via Apple's website - http://www.apple.com/ios/ios6/

  • My iphone 5 no longer syncs with my car stereo.

I'm unable to link my phone through my usb port to my stereo.  I had no problem with my iphone 4s.  I'm assuming its the new connector.  I'm wondering if a new adapter fix the problem?

OK. Purchased the adapter and still doesn't sync to my car stereo.  I'm considering sending the phone back for another 4s unless someone has a solution. I'm driving a 2010 Altima with Bluetooth capability, but the music has to be sync through the USB.

  • Why is my ipod in not working with my car stereo?

i have the stereo hooked up and everything but my ipod doesnt work with the stereo, but my ipod nano works fine with it. i dont understand what its wrong.

Like I said, the Classic doesn't seem to work with many car head units and other 3rd party accessories (something to do with the way Apple have changed the way an iPod recognizes and interacts with these accessories).
Have a look at some of the other threads here that also discuss this.
You would be better off contacting the maker of the car stereos.

Tip of charger less compatible to car stereo and devices?

Well, you could go with a belkin car charger that's white or black to match your ipod., then use a tape adapter or FM transmitter to get the ipod signal to your stereo.
This might be a good start - I enjoy belkin products.

They have transmitters, tape adapters, chargers, and in both colors.
