With out RFC Matadata
I am doing one scenario, BC to XI to RFC(R/3 system), Business Connector(BC)vendor say they can't provide the RFC to XI guys, but they going to prodive the mapping fields (like excel file..), with out impoting RFC can I do the Integration Repository mapping Stuff if I know the mapping data fields.
Hi Vasu,
you can create your source data type in XI in IR if you know the structure of the source message.
Thanks,

RFC to SOAP scenario (with out XI/PI)
Dear Experts ,
Is it possible to push data from RFC to Webservice with out using XI/PI.
Regards,
Kartheek. It is indeed possible, however without having used PI/Xi in the middle, once the mentioned scenario would be implemented, it would be difficult to keep the track of the messages that would flow across systems (i.e. message log, corresponding data etc.). So my suggestion would be to make use of the PI module as a middle ware.
Please check the URL that regards to your query.

Is it possible to retrieve data using RFC alone with out using BAPI ?
Hi ,
Is it possible to connect SAP to Non-SAP systems to retrieve data using RFC alone with out using BAPI ?
thanks
RamaHello Nelson,
Could you please explain how this can be done. Because my understanding is that only BAPI can be used to connect Non SAP and SAP system not RFC function module.

File to Web service (SOAP) to File scenario with out BPM in PI 7.1
Hi All,
I have scenario File to Web service (SOAP) to File scenario with out BPM.i am getting the below error:
1) Error MP: unexpected exception caught com.sap.aii.af.service.cpa.impl.exception.CPAObjectKeyException: Value of key must not be null: ObjectId
2) Error ROB: error during processing: com.sap.aii.af.lib.mp.processor.ModuleProcessorException: Processing Error
PI server is 7.1 with SP:8
I have configured the scenario like this
1) 2 File channels - Sender & Receiver ,1 RFC channel - Receiver. We need to note that, the additional Module parameters need to be added only for sender File channel
2) Created Sender Agreement
3)Created Receiver Determination
4)Created Interface Determination
5)Created Receiver Agreement

HTTP Receiver Adapter payload as single line plain text with out any tags.
Hi PI experts,
I have a strange problem in http receiver adapter.
Sender RFC (SAP) Receiver: HTTP.
Receiver system expects the output from XI in the below format in a single line plain text with out any tags in the payload. and the content type should be application/x-www-form-urlencoded
Group=Test&Sentinel=Web%20Server&Facility=5345&Order Number=XT-XWHM-Y-NA&Serial Number=123456&@LABEL_QUANTITY=5&@LABEL_NAME=111114_Q
Is there any way to achieve this using http receiver adapter. Business is not ready to accept the output from XI not even in a single element instead they only need it as a JUST a plain text.
Appreciate early response on this.
Thanks in Advance,
JitenderDear Ola,
Could you elaborate how you achieved in catching the response data from the receiver in case of HTTP receiver adapter?
The target service is not a WebService but some python script that must to receive some paramters via POST request.
HOW can I post this parameters?
Here you entered the fields of the message type of the request in the header parameters of the receiver adapter? Thats fine.
But what about the message type and vice versa of the response from the receiver?

Error in Sysn-Async with out bpm
Hi folks,
I have a scnario JDBC-PROXY-file..with out BPM.
File - RFC - File without a BPM - Possible from SP 19.
by using this blog
Now for this i used sync JDBC sender here it is repetely taking data from jdbc and it is not updating in the tables
when i see in the CC monitoring error is
Error occurred while sending message (GUID 2cc288ac-a012-44f8-018a-d5c3d7983e4e): com.sap.aii.af.service.cpa.impl.exception.CPAObjectKeyException: Value of key must not be null: ObjectId.
Now For this scnario i need to add any more modules in the Adapter configuration..
As i am not receiving any responce...in a file...
Thanks and Regards
VijayHello everyone!
I do not know if you already solved this issue.
I was facing the same problem and I've figured out that my CC (in Module screen) was set up with the wrong Parameter Value for the Parameter Name "receiverService".
That occured because I had changed my Service name when I moved my scenario to production.
Hope I could help!

I::001 Only available with the RFC library from 4.0C onwa
Hello all!
I'm using SAP .NET Connector for integration between .NET application and SAP System.
When I try to work with standard document bapi methods like BAPI_DOCUMENT_CHECKIN or BAPI_DOCUMENT_CHECKOUTVIEW, I get an error in out RETURN parameter - I::001 Only available with the RFC library from 4.0C onwa
Please, help if you know how to solve this issue. Any help appreciated, and thanks in advance for the help.
Best regards,
AlexHello,
Is the function module remote enabled? Check the attributes of the function module, see
[remote enabled function module|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/EN/22/0425f2488911d189490000e829fbbd/frameset.htm]
Next step to figure out this problem will be calling the function module remote and debugging it, see...

Async-Sync scenario with out using BPM
Hi All,
With SP19 we can implement File-RFC-File scenario with out using BPM.
But can any one suggest how can I implement the following File-RFC-File scenario without using BPM.
My input file has five elements. A1,A2,A3,A4,A5
The RFC (BAPI) needs A2 and A3 as input and it produces the output R6.
Now in the destination I need to populate D1,D2,D3,D4,D5,D6.
D1 has to be mapped from A1 and so on till fifth element. D6 will be mapped from R6. In order to achieve this we need to store the value of source interface before calling the RFC so that when we get the response back we can populate the entire destination structure.
Can anyone advise how to go about it. I don't want to use a BPM here.
Thanks

Accessing BAPI's using JAVA with out using webdynpro URGENT
hi Experts,
What is the procedure for calling RFC/BAPI's using JAVA with out using the webdynpro. Please let me know what are the possibilities with step by step implementation.

VijayHi Boris Rubarth,
Thaks for relavant information.
I have kind of the requirement. The clinet is asking for connecting the SAP RFC using java application. The build Jar or .war or .Ear for which are going to develop should be compatible for running on any of the Applications server like they have Tom cat, weblogic, websphere server.
so the .jar for or .ear file which we are going to develop should be able to run accessing the RFC/ BAPIs from any of these servers other than SAP WAS that is what their target.
Please give me your suggestion, which is better approach. currently their SAP system is 4.6c . So presently it is not possible the webservice approach. But they have plans to go for upgrade to ECC6.0
In that case only JCO option is possible. If use this option . Is it possible to access application which is deployed irrespective of the WAS by doing the required configuration.
Basically i am aware of the ABAP webservice work bech steps and also the JAVA coding also.
Please suggest me what is the better way to achieve this.

Connecting directly from ECC 6.0 to a 3rd party system with out XI ?
Hi Guys,
we have developed soap-soap scenarios in XI and we are sending the data from ECC 6.0 -> XI ->3rd party webbased system.
Due to some security reasons we are looking for options of doing the same with out XI ie directly from ECC 6.0 to 3rd party system.
can somebody explain or provide the links for doing the direct connection and also suggest the advantages and disadvantages of eliminating XI completly from the design
any hep would be really appreciated
Thanks,
SriniHI,
Yes, using standard Enterprise services from SAP you can communicate with 3rd party systems also,
Even you can configure the HTTPS communication with R/3 to 3rd Party system. For this you need to install the client Certificates and have to use valid User ID and Passwords.
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/3a/7cddde33ff05cae10000000a128c20/frameset.htm
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/e8/1f1041a0f6f16fe10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm
Disadvantage of communication without XI
1. XI provides the re-usability concept. i.e. if you have just R/3 to 3rd party and tomorrow you may need to add another 3rd party or sap system to communicate, then you just re-use the existing scenario.
But in case of direct communication is leads to point-to-point connection.
2. R/3 can't directly support to the open Standards, either you have to use ABAP proxies or RFCs to convert it to XML format. But XI is an Centralized Integration Platform with Open Standard. In current world, Openness is important.
3. XI has the Ability to communicate with other messaging systems/products may be JMS or any other 3rd party systems also which has the limitations with direct communication
4. Complex processes for communication possible instead of only sending and receiving (business process management) (connect e.g. asynchronous and synchronous steps, define complex communication scenarios)
Mapping etc possible to accomplish in Java. Platform independent Java components.
5. XI has Java & .Net support. which is not possible with directly R/3
Thanks

Hi,
What are the scenarios we can do with out XI as a Middleware.
Regards
SumanHi,
You can do this kind of activity for processing the IDOC and pushing it to flat file with using ABAP report..(Function modules are available for it)
In BDC, you normally use to do the recording across the various dilog processing.
The SAP system offers two primary methods for transferring data into SAP systems. From non-SAP systems or legacy system. These two methods are collectively called batch input or batch data communication.
1. SESSION METHOD
2. CALL TRANSACTION
3. DIRECT INPUT
Advantages offered by BATCH INPUT method:
1. Can process large data volumes in batch.
2. Can be planned and submitted in the background.
3. No manual interaction is required when data is transferred.
4. Data integrity is maintained as whatever data is transferred to the table is through transaction. Hence batch input data is submitted to all the checks and validations.
To implement one of the supported data transfers, you must often write the program that exports the data from your non-SAP system. This program, known as a data transfer program must map the data from the external system into the data structure required by the SAP batch input program.
The batch input program must build all of the input to execute the SAP transaction.
Two main steps are required:
To build an internal table containing every screen and every field to be filled in during the execution of an SAP transaction.
To pass the table to SAP for processing.
With LSMW you can upload the data using file via..BDC, IDOC, BAPI etc
XI is middleware...you can use the other external middelwares also..as EDI, Tibco, Mercator and many more...
If you wish to avoid the middelware then upto certain extent, it can be achieved..for e.g. you could use RFCs as Webservice...then RFC, ALE communications across various SAP systems was already there..but then all will be Point -to point connectivity ....and XI is based on Hub n spoke architecture...
Thanks

Defining input message Type for webservice interface with out input
Hi all,
I am configuring a scenario RFC -> XI -> Webservice. My sync webservice doesnot need any input. it genrates a random number which needs to be sent back to the RFC. How can i define an input message data type with out any data? As the interface requires both input and output data types in XI?
I tried a dummy data type with a single string input and didn't map it. but its not working because of name space issues. i specified a seperate XML name space in Message Type but i get a Target URL as the name space in the request which i provided in the SOAP reciever adapter.
Any help will be appriciated
Thanks and best regards,
Kulwant SinghHi
Can u chk the webservice request using test tools like stylus studio or xml spy and ensure that the same request is going out of XI .
make sure that you have changed the default xml namesapce in the target MT.

Hi All,
I have a HTTP to webservice scenario currently running in production , i.e .,
From the HTTP Application user sends a request to XI . XI makes a SOAP call and sends the request back to HTTP Application .
now I have a new requirement to write the SOAP request message to a JMS channel also.
Let me know how is it achievable with out using BPM .
Thanks and Regards,
KLKThanks for the replies , I have to clarify my question
Yes my requirement is to send the soap - response to JMS .
The above blog is File - RFC - File ( Asyn/sync) but my requirement is
HTTP - SOAP -- JMS (Syn/Asynch) .
The current scenario in production my o/b and i/b message interface are synchronus .
I need a i/b asynch interface reciepent for the SOAP response .
Let me know your thoughts
Thanks

RFC Exception COMMUNICATION_FAILURE with Message RFC destination RFC does n
Hi all , i did a small application in webdynpro abap by calling BAPI . MY application is when i enter the studentid and click the submit button i shoutl get student details .
but when i'm clicking the submit button i'm gettting the error
"RFC Exception COMMUNICATION_FAILURE with Message RFC destination RFC does not exist. Occurred " can any one help me out.hi rajeev.....
i am sure that you would have used service call.
in service call, in the destination part, you would have given a name. the service call automatically creates a destination in this name. but your user id would not have had that rights. so only you get this error. either use a already existing destination or get the access for that.
