With some (not all) sites that require passwords, how do I get Firefox to resume saving passwords when the site is not in the exception list?

For some banking sites that require passwords, I am 99.3% sure I at some time said "never remember passwords." Now I want to change my mind. When I go to Options/Options/Security/Remember.../Exceptions, the sites are not listed, but I still am not asked the question 'Want to remember....'

I did install the view passwords bookmarklet; it worked properly. I installed the saved-password-editor, and I think I entered all fields correctly, although (1) I was not sure of the meaning of the field 'submit prefix' and used the 'guess from current page' button, and (2) I winged it using the default on both the username field name and the password field name because the guess button simply said 'fill this form based on a likely login form on the current page.' [Does the button pick up that name?]
After fumbling a while, everything got to working! So, THANKS! Although I'm still not sure what the 'view passwords' bookmarklet does for me, since I do know the needed passwords.
I'm going to leave this open for one more day, since as a first-time user I don't know whether messages are added (such as explanations to my above minor issues) after I acknowledge the problem solved. I'll do that tomorrow.

How do I get my songs to another device when the links are not working?

I am having an issue with songs that I have purchased. They will play on my phone but when they are in a playlist they will not play and I cannot put them on another device. I have downloaded them to the computer from the iTunes store but same issue.

When you play a song, tap the album art to bring up more options. The repeat button is the one furthest to the left (looks like two arrows in an oval). Tap it until it is not coloured anymore.

I settup Bootcamp drive on my Macbook pro retina. Loaded Windows 7. The necessary drivers to communicate with Win7 did not load. How do I get drivers for flash drive, etc. when the keyboard et. all do not work on Windows side?

Can't get Windows 7 to recognize my keyboard, usb drives, nor the mouse pad on my MacBook Pro. Have settup Bootcamp division and loaded Win 7. Apparantly the needed drivers did not load. How do I deal with this issue?

Got it working!
First off, I found out if you use a 32GB Flash Drive or larger, you need to format it with EXFAT format, not MS-DOS FAT. I was also trying to use USB 3.0 Flash Drives which may have something to do with my problems. I was successful in my installation attempt when I used an 8GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive formated in DOS/FAT.
Also ensure when you install Windows, that Windows 7 Premium (NOT Basic) is selected for installation (also had the option to install Windows 7 Professional and Ultimate but do not have the license for them). I did not see that window with all the options on any of my three previous installation attempts. I noticed that Windows 7 Basic is the default which may have been part of the problem.

How do I get firefox to stup adding WWW to the beginning of a URL that does not start with WWW?

I have a URL I need to access "http://vb.bytware/forums/index/php" but fire fox keeps adding WWW to he beginning of the URL returning "http://www.vb.bytware/forums/index.php" whis is worng and therefore returns a Site not Found error.

I've tried this but it doesn't solve the issue (v 3.6.13).
Update #2 :
There's two additional config entries:
# browser.fixup.alternate.prefix - (www.)
# browser.fixup.alternate.suffix - (.com)
Changing these / removing the entries makes no difference either. Even after a reboot. Looks like a bug.
Update #3 :
Even when copying the correct url - verified to work in IE. It still insists on rewriting the url by removing the port number and adding www. and .com.
e.g. "http://localhost:8080/issues" becomes "http://www.localhost.com/issues". Really lame.

That is not a feature that is supported natively within Firefox but there are various add-ons which I think will do the job you need.
The one I have used is [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/web-slide-show/?src=search Web Slide Show]. This is primarily an add-on for viewing a slideshow of images when they are presented as thumbnails on a web page. However once you are in the slideshow there is a download button which will download all the images in the slideshow. It will automatically rename the images if an image with the same name already exists in the folder.
If you don't like that add-on then here are some others that may do the same job:

Thanks for the tip. I took the following steps:
1) Backed up the existing profile (presumably corrupted somewhere);
2) Deleted the existing profile;
3) Moved the existing Firefox to the Trash and downloaded a fresh copy;
4) Started Firefox (thus allowing it to create its default profile)
5) Copied the following files from the backup copy of the previous profile: places.sqlite, key3.db, signons.sqlite, permissions.sqlite, persdict.dat, cert8.db ---

How do you get Firefox to remember the response sent to remember password for a web site and not ask over and over? The desktop version has a dialog box that you can check that says "Don't ask me this again". The mobile version doesn't. A real pain!

well this black bar showed up in the tool bar area and i thought it was some sort of tool bar so i went to view toolbars and while trying to figure out which one it was either removed or hid the tool bar with view, edit, bookmarks, and all those things on them how do i get it back and will my bookmarks still be the same
