With the latest release of Firefox some webpages load as text only, refresh then causes some to load properly

some still fail to load properly after a refresh.
This has been occurring over about the last two days or so.
The one listed below still fails to load properly

• When are you going to make GOOGLE TOOLBAR compatible with the latest version of firefox, i will not update to version 8 until its compatible

Question
When are you going to make GOOGLE TOOLBAR compatible with the latest version of firefox, i will not update to version 8 until its compatible

It's not going to happen. Google announced withdrawal of their Google Toolbar.
Using Google Toolbar features without toolbars - MozillaZine Knowledge Base
:http://kb.mozillazine.org/Using_Google_Toolbar_features_without_toolbars
The Google Toolbar will not be updated for Firefox 5 or later Firefox versions. (reference) Google finally decided that their problematic extension is beyond repair for the little benefit added for Firefox users. Google as with other browsers is eliminating or making toolbars less accessible.
Consider the features that you are using and see if you can match up features from the list created by Google and by Firefox users.

• My virus scanner warns it is not compatible with the latest version of firefox, so i deinstalled firefox, It is trendmicro. I would like to have an earlier firefox version back, but were can i find it

I upgraded FireFox. My virusscanner TrendMicro complained it was nog compatible with this version.
So I desinstalled FireFox.
Do you know a solution?
Otherwise I would like to have an earlier version of FireFox, but where can I download it? I don't see a link at your site
thanx Yrram

Hey yrram,
There are a lot of benefits to running the latest version of Firefox. You might want to consider running the older version on a USB Stick with PortableApps. That way you'll still be able to run the latest version for your day to day activities. You could also try the workaround in this article.
If you still want to roll back to a previous version of Firefox, just take a look at the Knowledge Base article Installing a previous version of Firefox.
Hopefully this helps!

• Juno does not work with the latest version of firefox Why?

I would love to install the latest version of Firefox, but when I attempted to It indicated that It was not compatible with my Juno email service, why don't you guys ever include Juno when you do updates? Very frustrating as now my browser experience feels like my computer is dead. I finally gave up and installed Safari which is working at lightning speed. Don't suggest IE as I hate all Microsoft products, they are even worse at not testing things.

• Why am I unable to log in to 'Formspring' with the latest version of Firefox? I have turned off all ad blockers. Other browsers are fine.

The website 'Formspring.me' loads, but then when I click 'log in' I find the website to be completely unresponsive. Clicking 'Log in with Facebook' also fails, and this has worked up until now..
I am using the latest version of Firefox, all my plug-ins are up to date and all adblockers are turned off.
My computer runs Windows Vista Ulitmate with Service Pack 2.

Hi, thanks for your reply :). I've actually just solved the problem - it was a AVG Safe Search!
I went to C:\Program Files\AVG then fould the 'FireFox' folder and deleted it. When I restarted firefox then add-on was gone and the problem solved.
Thanks for your time,
Gaina

• Need help with the latest version of Firefox

I asked this question before, but the answer I got was way too complicated. I keep being asked to upgrade to Firefox 29, and when I do go to do this I get the message "You are on the latest version of Firefox", even though I am on Firefox 24. Please tell me in simple language how to fix this.

Hi Ruben,
I'm sorry my answer wasn't easy to understand. I'll try to simplify it.
There are two reasons why your Firefox is incorrectly reading the useragent (the Firefox version you're on)
1) <code>about:config</code> (hidden website in Firefox) still has the preferences for an old version. There's only one thing to do for this step, Visit the below website and tell me what it says under <b>Browser "User Agent" string:</b>.<br>Here's the site:
*https://jeffersonscher.com/res/jstest.php (credit goes to jscher2000)
Example: here's what mine looks like:
*Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:29.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/29.0
If yours isn't 29 at the end you should do the below steps to reset your prefs to default
# Navigate to <code>about:config</code> via Address Bar
# Click the button that says, <code>"I'll be careful, I promse!"</code>
# At the top of this page, search for <code>general.useragent</code>
# Try to reset the following if they exist (If prefs are bold (user set) then you can right-click that pref and choose Reset.):
*<i> general.useragent.extra.firefox
*general.useragent.extra.productName - where productName can be the name of some third party software (e.g. microsoftdotnet),
*general.useragent.locale
*general.useragent.override
*general.useragent.security</i>
The other thing was to see if you had any user.js file active to initalize prefs when you start Firefox
You can delete a possible user.js file and numbered prefs-##.js files and delete the <b>prefs.js</b> file to reset all prefs to the default value. You can get to the profile folder below:
*Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory > Show Folder
or
*Go to about:support and click Show Folder next to Profile Directory.

• How can I get the usajobs.gov website to open with the latest version of firefox?

i just updated to the latest version of firefox, now it will not let me use the usajobs.gov website. it keeps saying that it is untrusted, and since it uses https, it can not have an exception so i can not continue to the page. It also says that the site is not presenting trusted identification. i need to check my job applications, and search for jobs. this needs to be fixed asap. it does allow my to go to the home page, but when i try to log in, the message pops up.

Please make sure that all of your plugins and extensions are up to date.
In order to change your Firefox Configuration please do the following steps :
# In the Location bar, type about:config and press Enter. The about:config "This might void your warranty!" warning page may appear.
# Click I'll be careful, I promise! to continue to the about:config page.
# Since the site only works for me if I allow Firefox to fallback to TLS 1.0 or otherwise force TLS 1.0 (i.e. set the maximum to 1.0) set security.tls.version.fallback-limit = 1

• I think there is a problem with the latest version of Firefox. When you minimize one window (doesn't matter how many tabs) on Mac, it automatically minimizes all of the other open windows. This never used to happen.

Whenever you have multiple windows open - say one is your Gmail account and the other is a bunch of pages you're using at work - and then you go to minimize the window with Gmail but intend to continue working on the other open windows. Using Command-M (the minimize shortcut for Macs) unfortunately now sends all open windows to the minimize bar in the lower right. Which means - every time I go to look at Gmail, then put it away, I have to reclick to open all of the other windows I was working in. Can this be fixed? It never used to happen.
== This happened ==
Every time Firefox opened
== I upgraded to the latest version of Firefox

Because OS X 10.4* does not have what is needed by Firefox 4.0 and newer.
Linux users are in a similar boat also as they need certain package versions within the last few years as LTS distros (with outdated packages from 4+ years ago) like CentOS is a bit screwed on newer applications like Firefox 4.0. By your logic Mozilla should also support Linux packages from 10 years ago also which would be a really ridiculous thing to do.
I think only the 64-bit Windows Vista and Windows 7 is really supported or will be rather when it comes to 64-bit builds (still not officially supported yet).
Mozilla is still supporting Firefox 3.6 with updates, in which 3.6.16 can be found at http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html

• Macafee is not working properly with the latest version of firefox, how can I get it to work the way it was working on the previous version?

when browsing on google, it doesn't show the macafee safety arrow or caution, nor does it name the macafee secure sites. What happened with the new version?

McAfee Site Advisor: https://support.mozilla.com/questions/837419
Look for an updated version in about the 3rd week of July; hopefully they'll fix their many other errors besides, I don't think I've been able to use it since about Firefox 3.6.0 or maybe 3.6.6
Be aware that if you currently choose to use McAfee Site Advisor it has some serious problems for Firefox users, check

• Firefox 16.02 on Win 7: with the latest update to Firefox I am encountering the same question that others have had, about why I cannot connect to https location

Firefox 16.02 on Win 7 Home Premium. 8 GB Ram, 500 GB HD. Reference to Trust Manager appears instead of the site I have entered, and I cannot locate the Trust Manager in either the Firefox (which gives me some inane referrals) nor in Windows. What do I do now?

Hi,
The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information.
Note: This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.
To Reset Firefox do the following:
#Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
#Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
#Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
#Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.
Further information can be found in the Reset Firefox – easily fix most problems article.
Did this fix your problems? Please report back to us!

• What is the deal with the latest release of iTunes?

Ever since I updated iTunes a few months ago it has basically made itself totally useless.  It takes forever to start the program up - it takes minutes and mintues of spinning rainbows to search for music in my library that before was instantly recallable...  The library is obviously parsing the search as soon as you start typing - so if I type in Se...  by the time I type in the second E it's searching for every song in my library that starts with S, then it's searching for every song that starts with Se... etc... then I get half through the word and the stupid GUI freezes and I get to watch spinning rainbows for 45 seconds, then the library displays 250 songs that I wasn't looking for.... How about if the program just WAITS until I am done typing in the name of the song or artist or album and hit ENTER to initiate the search?  I'm pretty  sure I don't sit around going - I want to listen to that one song but I don't remember what it's called - except - didn't it start with Se?  I'll just do a search for that...   It's STUPID!
The latest issue I've had with it is it won't connect my iPod at all!  It just randomly stopped recognizing my iPod.  When I DO get the ipod to show up in the sidebar - after force quitting the program 3 times, restarting the computer (welcome to WIndows OSX), and rebooting the iPod and reconnecting everything - the program spins rainbows for... going on like 15 minutes now...
<Edited by Host>

I assumed you were familiar with search in itunes 10.
However as you are clearly not then the way to search for An Artist is to select filter by artist in the search box
then type in the artist name and it will match that artist or any artist with that as part of the name
For Example I searched for Eric Clapton just using Eric. It found all The Eric Clapton songs but also songs by Jesse Frederick/Bennett Salvay. If I typed in the Ful name of Eric Clapton it just returned Eric clapton

• Some important features of Kaspersky Internet security wont work with the latest edition of Firefox, what can be done?

Plug-ins were disabled

There usually is a delay of a few weeks before Kaspersky updates its Firefox add-ons for a new version.
Have you installed patch "I" which added support for Firefox 12 (released May 4th)? Not sure whether that helps with Firefox 13. More information: Kaspersky Internet Security 2012: patch I for version 12.0.0.374.
