With the new version of Firefox I cannot use my Google Toolbar. Can I revert to the earlier version with which the Google Toolbar was compatiable? If so, how do I do it?
I love Firefox but found it more user-friendly when I had my Google Toolbar as well. I want it back and the new version of Firefox does not allow it. Can I revert to the most recent version of Firefox which did allow Google Toolbar and if so how do it do that?

The Google Toolbar '''7.1.20110512W''' version does work pretty good in Firefox 5.0 by using the Compatibility Reporter extension. But not every feature works 100%.<br />

I can go to Time Machine and find the document, even read it in Time Machine, but when I try to restore this version I get the same crash. I cannot open with Text or RTF. Preview opens a fuzzy version and can save out as a .PDF, but when I try to convert the .PDF to Word I get a bunch of unusual characters. Any help anyone can give would be greatly appreciated
OK, I've tried all these tips. Here's what I finally have to do: I open Time Machine. I click on the Pages file and open the Pages file in the Time Machine window. (Restore does not work; nothing works).
When the Pages file opens, I begin taking screenshots using shift-command-3. I take shots of all 200+ pages of this document. The screenshots are saved to my desktop.
I then move all 200+ screenshots into one folder, because, face it, that's too many icons to work with on one desktop screen.
Then I select all the screenshots in the folder at once and open them all in Preview. Then I crop every screenshot using command-K, and save using command-S, and then close that image using command-W.
When I have cropped all 200+ screenshots, I go back through the folder one by one and adjust the color on each one, moving the mid-range color up to about 75% and the sharpness filter up to about 75%, in order to compensate for the fuzzy image of the screenshot. You can't create a searchable PDF with an image that fuzzy. I do this one by one.
I make sure everything is saved.
Then I open all 200+ edited screenshots in Preview and print them out.
Then I take the 200+ pages of this ****** Pages file and run them through my scanner, making searchable 600 dpi PDFs.
Then I go to each of the 200+ PDFs and highlight the text, copy, and paste into a NEW word processing document.
If I'd had 300 pages like the last manuscript, or 700 pages like the one before that, I would have created an Automator program to do all that, but hey, this is not the kind of **** you expect from Apple. Really. It's taken all week.
So thanks for your help guys, but no other suggestions worked. I tried to force a download of the file from Dropbox, but got the same result. Besides, my Dropbox folder is saved locally on my harddrive, so it's not their fault. In fact, there is no data in the Dropbox folder under this file name, only preview files. Somehow the Time Machine will open the complete Pages file while in Time Macine, but will not import the saved Time Machine version to the working desktop because it is a preview (i.e., not Preview) image. This is a Pages problem, not a Dropbox problem. Pages did not save the full file.
If anybody knows a better way to do this, I'd like to know about it. If anybody knows whether I will ever be able to trust Pages again, I'd like to know that too. -
ever since i downloaded the 4.0 version of firefox, it has not worked on either computer[ macs] - earlier versions worked fine. It refuses to load pages and freezes [ on various sites , not just one]so i have to force quit it over and over.

Empty the Safari Cache from the Safari Menu Bar more often.
Go to the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari/Preferences. Make note of all the preferences under each tab. Quit Safari. Now go to ~/Library/Preferences and move this file com.apple.safari.plist to the Desktop.
Relaunch Safari and see if that makes a difference. If not, move the .plist file back to the Preferences folder. If Safari functions as it should, move that .plist file to the Trash.

You might want to ask TDS if they have plans to update that toolbar for Firefox 5.0 any time soon. If they don't, you're gonna have continuing problems with Mozilla's Fast Release schedule for Firefox, which has new versions coming out every 6 weeks or so. Until that toolbar is fixed properly, it's going to be disabled every 6 weeks or just remain disabled.
The question I have for you is, does that toolbar really have much of value to you? Does it have a special features that aren't available with a different toolbar or extension? Like maybe one where the developer keeps it up to date as new versions of Firefox are released? -
the site farmtowngifts.com worked very well prior to the latest update of firefox and firefox is even recommended by this site. Now it is not working properly.
uninstalled firefox ....deleted all files still remaining under mozilla firefox directory in program files ... to avoid having to reprogram all my settings, reisntall all addons as well .. I did not remove anything from mozilla firefox that is stored in either appdata or under the windows users directory (if any)
... the as suggested reinstalled the latest version of the firefox browser using the link you provided in the email ..; tested and several issues still remain present and unresolved ....
so please this is urgent or I will have to jump browsers and start using chrome .. because we work 14 hours a day 6 (sometimes 7) days a week, to get ready for the launch of our newest venture and we cannot lose that much days on browser related issues ... so please instead of putting me through week long step process .. of do this .. do that .. can you please actually look into the issue from your end .. I received the new update from Itunes and after installing, I couldnt get into my Itunes. I get a message from Windows saying that an MC file is missing and to reinstall I tunes. I have reinstalled 3 times, the first time I didn't remove the old version, I installed the update over it. Next I tried the repair function under Control Panel. After that, I uninstalled Itunes and reinstalled again from the website. I still get the same message about missing files from Windows.

How do u get rid of the album cover when u turn your Ipod to the side to watch vidoes. I downloaded the new ios 7 and now I can't watch my vidoes.
Based on other posts, the misic videos no longer play in landscape mode. You get the album covers as u describe.

How can I revert to an earlier version of Thunderbird? 31.1.2 is giving me bugs.
Thunderbird has been working great for me for years. I'm on a Windows 7 desktop computer.
The new version 31.1.2 got auto-installed yesterday, and now I have the popup window to "Add Security Exception" happening all the time, even with different mail servers (Yahoo and Google). I can't believe that both Yahoo and Google simultaneously had their certificates go out of date. So I think the problem is in Thunderbird.
I've submitted a bug report on Bugzilla, but for now I'd just like to revert back to version 31.1.1 (or whatever preceded 31.1.2). How can I do this?Well, reverting to 31.1.1 did not fix the problem.

Since the update was very new - and I had done nothing to my knowledge that should have caused the problem, I thought that many people would be seeing the problem.

You were right. I have attached a screen shot of the error message. It's the same for both Yahoo and Google.
I don't get any other message, but Thunderbird has become EXTREMELY slow at downloading new messages. -
Can I revert back to earlier version???
I did the January '08 update (1.1.3) and now I am having all sorts of problems. For starters, I have lost Wi-fi and Blue-tooth (greyed out and unaccessible) and I am sure I will find other things wrong after reading some of the forum posts in here. Rather than doing resets, etc. is there a way to revert back to the earlier version I had before the update?

I did all as instructed in the articles each of you sent to me. I greatly appreciate your taking time to help out. While all other aspects of the phone continued working fine the bluetooth and Wi-fi were still greyed out and unavailable. After talking with Apple tech support (phone was less than 30 days old) they sent me to the nearest Apple store and the phone was replaced with a new (not refurbished) phone without any hassles or debates. I don't know if this is the common experience but I was quite happy with how they treated me. Despite the inconvenience of time lost due to this issue they did respond well and I am still happy with my iphone.

Can I revert back to old version of itunes from version 12
I use itunes version 12 and have a nano 7th generation. I recently upgraded my itunes to version 12 and have to say I don't like it. Can I revert back to earlier version and how do I know what version I used previously?
The main reason I would like to revert back is that I have encountered a problem that I never had previously with itunes. Upon purchasing a song, when I try to copy it to my ipod I am getting the following error message :
"(song name) wasn't copied to ipod because it is only available in icloud". Since when did I do that?
When I attempt to download from icloud I get the following error message "There was a problem downloading. You do not have enough access privileges for this operation".
What can I do now ?? Can I revert back and will this sort the problem?

To downgrade to Firefox 3.6 first uninstall Firefox 4, but do not select the option to "Remove my Firefox personal data". If you select that option it will delete your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.
You can then install the latest version of Firefox 3.6 available from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html - it will automatically use your current bookmarks, passwords etc.
To avoid possible problems with downgrading, I recommend going to your profile folder and deleting the following files if they exist - extensions.cache, extensions.rdf, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite and localstore.rdf. Deleting these files will force Firefox to rebuild the list of installed extensions, checking their compatibility, and reset toolbar customizations.

Recently our Office Depot Tech switched us from an older version of Firefox to the current version. For the last two years, we were able to search for sites on Yahoo and icons would appear. The icons would suggest that a site is unsafe to click onto because a red triangle with an exclamation point would appear. These icons no longer appear since the Tech switched us to the current version of Firefox. I want to be sure I am clicking onto safe sites. I believe the icon used to be a green padlock if the site was safe to enter.

I like the feature of the PDF being opened on the new tab on firefox browser's windows. But the newer version (3.6 or 4.0) will automatically open PDF in a pop up adobe apps.
