With the new version of itunes, how do I transfer ringtones I have made from my phone into my account so I can download them?

I just downloaded the new version of itunes to my computer. Now I cannot load my ringtones that I have made from garage band on my iphone to my itunes library to save them on my iphone. Anyone know how to do this yet on the new itunes?

App asserts I must have iTunes ver. 9.1 or later.
Where are you seeing this?
The app is not telling you that you need 9.1 on your iPad.
It does not use iTunes on the iPad for anything.
I'm trying to figure the version on my iPad.
It is the version that comes with your specific iOS firmware version.
But again, it is irrelevant to the app.
If you just got the iPad, it (the iPad) requires iTunes 10.4 on your computer.

With the new version of ITune, I do not know how to add a podcast to a playlist. The "add to playlist" which was easily found on older versions is not available. Your help will be appreciated.

1. I do not know how to transfer a new radio podcast to a playlist. The previous option "show in playlist" does not appear.
2. I do not know how to download an older podcast from the list of available ones offered for download. The latest one only is downloading, none other, not even the most recent but one.

umm my music is synced depending on how i want it.. so right now I have it set up by artist, and alphabetically.
sort your library the way you want it, then sync.

It should be like the very first time you synced your phone with I-Tunes. It will notice you haven't synced before and just copy everything from your phone into I-Tunes. It shouldn't delete anything from the phone, at least it never has for me. It just puts a copy of everything into I-Tunes and even if you delete an app for example from your phone and you decide you want it back later, you can just go back into I-Tunes and copy it back over. Hope this helps.

Having tremendous difficulty with the new version of iTunes. Moving from a playlist to the main music library has iTunes using 100% of the cpu and listed as not responding. Not sure this new version was ready for release!

They were great and helped me to back-up my old iphone3 which was almost dead and then restore the data onto my new iPhone4S, however the new version of iTunes on the laptop doesn't seem to be showing any of my music or apps, they are all my boyfriend's stuff. You can be on any account to show all music. But between your acct and your BFs account, if you have different songs and apps, it will be difficult to back up and/or transfer your purchased songs and apps because using different Apple IDs in one library can confused things on itunes.
But if you're missing songs on your itunes click here: Donwloading past purchases from App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
That will only restore songs that you purchased from iTunes. If you downloaded songs from a third-party site, you have to locate it on your computer and add it to itunes.

Itunes will not allow me to Import Folder with the new version. Does anyone see what I am most obviously missing. It only allows me to add file to library and not folder. as usually add huge amounts of files at once. please advise.

"Add Folder to Library" is still in the file menu, but you might need to bring up the menu bar to see the file menu.
If you're using 11.0.x, click on the wee boxy icon up in the top-left corner of your iTunes to see the "Show Menu Bar" control, as per the following screenshot:
