With10.6 constantly have to reload my libraries. How can I get past this?

Since I downloaded 10.6, I constantly have to reload my libraries. After that, I have to restore my ipads/ipods. This takes up to 7 hours each time. How can I get past this? 10.5 never did this.
Winbox XP w/ external itunes library. iPads and iPods.

The current build is 10.5.2. If you are running a beta version you should discuss any issues you have with it in the appropriate tester's forum.

OPen your Users folder, Highlight the Desktop Folder, do a Get Info or CMD+i on it, see if it's locked or if you have Rights & Privileges at the bottom.

Try to boot into Safe Mode and order this way, or sign into a different user account and try to order as a different user.

HT1212 I took the passcode lock off of my iPhone 5 and now I can't get on to my iPad. It is asking for the passcode and when I use the one that was set up it locks me out. How can I get past this?

I have the iPhone 5 and with the new sofware update it added a passcode lock. Same for the iPad. I removed the passcode lock from my iPhone and now I can access my iPad. It is still asking for the four digit passcode. I tried using the one that was orgingally programed and it disables it every time. How can I get past this? I have tried to do a restore and it still takes me back to the lock screen. Please help!

Do you hav ean external drive?
If so copy the entire /Music/iTunes/ folder to the external drive.
Then you can delete /Music/iTunes/ empty the trash and recover this space.
Do this then Apple menu > Software update.
