Within a website using 5.0, links are inactive
I loaded the dpreview.com forum. Many photographers on the forum post links to their photographs. These links are inactive and
can't and can't be launched. Using IE, the links work.

I'm going crazy. I've tried everything including reinstalling App Store, running MacOSXUpdCombo, and every thing I can find on the Support site. I need to be able to use the redeem functionality to enter the serial number for my paid upgrade to Lion.
iTunes seems to work fine with redeem, but I receive an error stating that I can only update the os by using the App Store.
Could this have anything to do with my having 2 apple IDs? I have one from my original purchase of a MacAir and I have another that is attached to my iMac, Apple TV, and my other devices. I hate that I can't merge my IDs.

Mobile website using iWeb 1.1.2
Hello I would like to create mobile website using iWeb. What are the best methods of doing this? I would assume just make it the correct dimesions for iPad and iPhone. What are these dimensions? What else do I need dot know? thanks!

All objects are inactive in derived roles (copied from existing derived role)
I need to create more than 1000 derived roles, from existing reference roles.
Reference roles are also derived roles. So I executed LSMW for mass copy.
Eg: Reference role XYZ with parent role XXX
New role(ABC) copied from XYZ ,so ABC is having same values as XYZ and master role also.
Now the issue is after executing the LSMW all roles are copied to new roles, but all objects are inactive in new roles .I am not able to activate the object also.Hi Colleen,
Issue: I have derived roles for plant XX, now I want to derive same set of roles for YY plant. My reference plant is XX, So what am doing is copying the XX roles to New roles (YY) .No change in object or description, just copy role to new role. And I am using LSMW for the same.
After copy the roles, I will change the description and profile using another script and manually change the org values. But after copy the roles to new roles using script all objects are inactive (In red color),if am selecting the org tab ,I will get message like ,no org levels maintained. Because all objects are inactive .And there are no options (edit) to activate the objects or maintain the fields.

Email or contact box is no longer opening when I click on a link within any website
whenever I click on any link withing any website that should and always had either opened an email, contact us section withing that website, or my default email, nothing happens. example, going to a website that has a link for contact us, I click on the obvious link and nothing happens. This is not just happening within one website, but every site that I go to. Absolutely nothing happens when I click on links that are obvious links that should direct you to either another area or open an email within every website I go to. This started happening about 6 weeks ago, now in the last week, my firefox keeps crashing for no reason. I use a mac OS X 10.4.11.. I have made no changes to my system, have not downloaded any new programs, and everything else is working fine with my mac.
Further to jscher2000's suggestion yesterday: I think I misunderstood the suggestion, which I didn't find very clear. I've now discovered that if I send a Firefox open window (with one or more open tabs) to hide in the dock first, then clicking on a link twice (once to bring the mail program to the front and again to open the link), this will cause the hidden tab/s to come out of hiding AND a new tab for the link will open. Cumbersome, and I still maintain there is a bug in version 32, but this workaround is at least quicker than copying and pasting the link.

Firefox crashes and all website pages loose their formatting and pictures, and links are broken
I’m currently running Firefox 18.0.1 on a 13” 2011 MacBook Pro 2.7 GHz Intel Core i7 with 8GB or RAM that is running OS X 10.8.2 Mountain Lion. I have been living with this problem for over a year and this same computer has had this problem while running OS X 10.7 and I think even 10.6. The problem also existed with earlier versions of Firefox including versions 17, 16, and possibly 15, it’s been so long I can’t remember.
The problem is that Firefox crashes (or something within Firefox crashes) and the screen “goes white” and by that I mean all the graphics and layout of a page like YouTube disappears and even though the links are there, none of them work. The page is just made up of text and broken links. Reloading the page does nothing so I have to close Firefox and restart it. (No reboot) On relaunch everything is back to normal and may last a few minutes, or it may crash again right away. Generally if I launch Firefox and use it and then go use some other programs, when I come back to Firefox it will then crash. Is this a Java problem? Is this a javascript problem? I really don’t know what it is but it has persisted through several operating systems and different versions of Firefox running on different operating systems. I’m stumped and can’t find anyone who’s ever seen this problem. Any help or clues would be greatly appreciated.
I should add that this problem is present on ALL webpages, not just one or a few. Safari works fine on the same machine and visiting the same websites. I have screen caps of the crashed pages but I don't know how to post them here.Please type about:crashes in the URL bar and provide us with the latest crash ids. When I try to click on a link to a document within a website, that document doesn't open like it should. For instance, if I go to the census website and click on a link to open an excel spreadsheet, Firefox doesn't do it. It usually does nothing; if I tell it to open in a new window or tab, it just opens a tab labeled "untitled" that ends up being a blank page.

Find and select excel spreadsheet or any other content type in the left column. There should be a corresponding action in the right column. What is it? You can use the drop-down list to select the option you want:

Save file - Firefox will save this file to your computer
Use - Firefox will give this file to the program to open it

Every single website url address, or url address within a website page is being added to my location bar/address bar drop down menu.
I don't want everything added or saved in the location bar. Only urls that I used a lot used to be saved there but now every single url (and url within a url)I visit is being added to it.
How can I stop this? This just started happening.
I'm sure it's a simple browser setting but I've checked and nothing gives an option to control this.

I have a pdf registration form on my website. It has a link that take the user to a payment page within my website. They pay then submit the form. The link currently opens in the same browser tab as the form and the user thinks that is the submission, which it is not. I want my link to open into a new browser tab. How do I do that?

Why can't I link to any websites using Blogger?
I recently set up a blog using Blogger and the link button doesn't link me to any websites. The test link shows that everything is fine but the text, when published, doesn't have a link to anything - shows just the test. I have already contacted Blogger and posted this question and examples on their forums. I have been told that the links work perfectly on Firefox 3.6 and they are correctly set up with all the proper coding. No one seems to be able to give ma an answer. I can't get this to work in Explorer or Safari either.
Does the link work on a different device or a computer? It's possible the video they linked to is not available for viewing on a mobile device, or that the link is bad.

I'm using FF 34.0.5 (I like it). I use to be able to right click on a link, within an e-mail, and the link would open in a new tab. Now when I click on the link it opens in the same tab replacing my e-mail.
Example - a friend sends me an e-mail containing a link to a web site he thinks I'd like. I click on the link and go to the web site and then go back to the e-mail tab and reply to him. Now, when clicking that link, my e-mail disappears and is replaced by the new site.
How can I fix this? When this happened once before I was told to change the 'value' for a specific 'preference name' through the about:config page.
Can anyone help jog my memory?

Hypertext links are not always preserved from Word to PDF, using Aperçu or Adobe, depending on OS 10 or Lion. Why? This generally works perfectly in Windows. Why are Apple and Adobe unable to correctly handle links when converting from Word to PDF?
Depending on the system version, and Office Word version:
- a pure URL link starting with http or even www sometimes works in PDF, either produced by Aperçu or Adobe, sometimes does not work;
- other kind of links where the text under display is not a URL, never work!
I like everything with Apple computers and software, except PDF generation. Output files are usually bigger in size, and no better quality, than under Windows. Furthermore, it is weird that something as common as hyperlinks does not work correctly!
I related this question with Mac OS X Snow Leopard, but the problem is still there with Mac OS Lion.

If I understand the problem correctly (I’m not sure I do) you would prefer ‘iii’ to be read as “eye eye eye” rather than “three”? The alt text property is the only way that I know of to make this happen. Hope this helps.
