Without 101 in ELN but relevant for Putaway

Hello,
We are creating Inbound deliveries and usually multiple containers (HU) attached to it, (as containers move to warehouse over a period), we are using MIGO/MB0A so that only HU content can be PGR but that why material docs not updated in Doc flow...
if I remove the 101 mvt from item category (ELN) and keep active the 'Putaway relevant' I can not create the TO for the delivery...
Even 'OverWM status' is empty despite plant/st location.
Any suggestion to create the TO with this...

Good to know and thank you for sharing. Just had a 2 year old PS go out with "bang," and am awaiting a replacement. Your comments on the added devices is very good, as is the aging of the PS itself.
I'll also take you up on the calculator program, just to keep tabs on my other computers.

Stelo08, yes, Motion will export in a handful of formats.
h264 is the most popular, but did not support transparency, which you would likely want if you wanted to do lower thirds (titles).
Motion will export in prores 444 which which supports transparency, but I do not know if it works in imovie.
(I tried it in Camtasia 2.3 and it did not there, but it seemed to work in ScreenFlow 4.03)
Additionally, you can import video footage into Motion, so worst case scenario, you could pull a shorter scene into motion, do your overlays, export that scene and then add it back into imovie.

Not exactly PP, but relevant for troubleshooting crashes. PSU woes.

This is not directly related to PP, but the following may help you if you encounter inexplicable hangs or crashes while editing.
On an older system I had the following symptom: While editing I would get sudden MFT warnings, system freezes, no more mouse or keyboard response, utterly unresponsive behavior, that could only be remedied by pressing the reset button. The system could work for days without trouble, then suddenly start acting up, where the reset button was not enough. You had to power off, wait a minute, and boot again. Often during POST the system had trouble finding all disks, requiring numerous power off-on sequences and usually with the BIOS stating "overclocking failed. press F1 to enter setup". Overclocking was never used and the BIOS settings confirmed that, OK F10 to save the settings and voila, back to work. And it could be good for days or happen again half an hour later.
WHAT THE F*** IS GOING ON HERE, I wondered. Is it one of my disks going bad because of the MFT errors, is it some resident process causing havoc? Whatever it was, I needed to figure it out, because it seriously hampered my editing, especially since the problems caused checkdisk to run at boottime, which often came up with a lot of errors.
It took a lot of digging, trying this and that, reseating cables, checking disks etc. but what it boiled down to was:

In this case on the 5V rail. With a number of disks in the system, a couple of externals, a multicard reader and a number of other USB devices the 5V rail was causing problems. The peak pulse at start up was overloading the 5V rails, to a large extent due to capacitor aging during the years this PC has been in operation, often 24/7. The temporary solution was to turn off the card reader and the external disks during start up and turning them on at a later moment.
Meanwhile I was already looking at a new system and based on reviews I had at the top of my list the Enermax Revolution 85+, a 1050W PS that was lauded for its build quality, stability, efficiency and robustness. Until I checked the amperage on the various rails. Just calculating the power requirements, 1050W was sufficient for this new system. However, with the number of disks, DVD/BR burners and other components a more precise analysis showed that I needed a 30A 5V rail and the Enermax only delivers 25A. So no go.
The lesson behind this for anybody experiencing strange hang ups or mysterious crashes can often be found in a power supply that is not up to the task required. Notice, it may have been good when you bought it, but in the meantime you may have added components, requiring more power and while the PS ages, its power dimishes due to capacitor aging. Like humans lose strength when they grow older.
I strongly advise checking your PS on the stated capacity on the various rails and compare that to the results from
eXtreme Power Supply Calculator Pro
. The cost of around $ 10 for this program are easily worth it, if you can see what is required on the various rails and prevents you from buying one with the wrong specs in your situation, like the example I mentioned above.
I hope this helps troubleshooting and selecting new PS.

Set item categaries of sales order is not relevant for picking

when i created the outbound delivery and must maintain the picking quantity of materails.i change the configration of system so that not nessesary maintain the picking quantity. set item categaries of sales order is not relevant for picking via t_code:vlop,what it effect .help me analyze it .

In TA :OVLP set/reset the indicator according to your requirement.
In the case of outbound deliveries, only the delivery items that are relevant for picking are transferred to the Warehouse Management (WM) component. Certain items such as text items or service items (consulting activities) are not relevant for picking.(in those cases uncheck the box)
In the case of inbound deliveries, this indicator controls whether the item is relevant for putaway.
This indicator must be set in order for the item to be included in a Warehouse Management transfer order and then put away.

Relevant for billing and pricing

Hi All,
In the config for item category. There are two settings, one is "relevant for billing" and other is "pricing".
what is the difference bewteen the two.... since if i enable relevant for billing, it automatically means the pricing will happen since relevant for billing means, an invoice with prices will be made.
if you disagree.can someone explain with some examples.

Hi Sonu,
The Billing Relevance field only tells you whether the material should be carried over to the invoice document or not. An item in quotation, wtih item category AFN, is never be billable and should appear in the invoice document and hence would have Billing Relevance as not relevant. However, the customer or user might need to know the price of material when quotation is being created. For this the pricing field should be used. If the pricing is set as not relevant then the system does not carry out the pricing calculation. So you could have item categories not relevant for billing but relevant for pricing and vice versa. Use AFN and TANN for comparision.

Relevant for picking or putaway

Hi, I have problem with deliveries that are WM HU managed( picking is done through TO-s) and in same system I have also normal deliveries. Problem is when I set indicator "Relevant for picking or putaway" in table TVLP-KOMRL as checked, system requests that all items on delivery have status "C"(that are picked through WM), but that is then not OK for normal delivery. When I uncheck this field, then is working for normal deliveries and not for others. How to manage that?

Hi Mario,
As you can see that the setting 'Relevant for picking/putaway' is configured for Delivery Item category. Perhaps you can consider assigning different Delivery item category for item relevant for picking or the opposite. Hope this helps.

I've seen some mention here and there about ways to maybe change it so the volume buttons change tracks and holding the volume buttons changes the volume... but I don't know what's involved in that or if its even possible/recommended for a new 5th gen iPod. I think its a great device but its sadly lacking in music oriented functions and features... which is disappointing since music is why most people would bother getting one instead of some other "iDevice" :/

Given that you cannot do what you have asked for, perhaps you simply need to find another solution to your root problem.
Presumably, you want to skip to the next track because you don't want to hear the current one, and that is because...
You don't like it.
You've heard it recently and don't want to hear it now.
Simply don't want to hear it at this time.
For problem number 1. Don't put it on the iPod in the first place. (I know, obvious answer!)
For problem number 2. How about playing from a Smart Playlist (initially created in your iTunes Library) which has only songs you've not played recently?
For problem number 3. Hhhmmm! Create alternative Playlists for use in the car.
As for going back to the start of the "now playing" track.... Well, if your Playlist has only songs that you really, really want to hear, then you'll be looking forward to that rather go back to the beginning of the current song.
I'm not trying to be prescriptive, just giving you food for thought.
(They are all cheaper options than buying a car which can control the iPod from the steering wheel.)

Item not relevant for Billing but still exist in Billing due list VF04

Hi Experts,
I am experiencing an issue where this is an STO scenario.
The PO->DN->PGI->GR (Receiving plant) where there is no invoice required as its with the same company.
However, I can see there is one Delivery still getting reflected in VF04 due list.
Standard Delivery type NL has been used and already checked the item categoy relevance and its
maintained as J ( Relevant for deliveries across EU countries.) I dont think so this was billed earlier as I had already checked the Deliveries created with same item category for past six months and they have not been billed.
Is there any other settings that needed to be checked apart from item cateogry and verifying how the same combination of Delivery type and item category worked earlier?

You may be right that with the same item category settings, there were no billing item generated (with the billing indicator as J in your Item Category) earlier. But how now it is happenning the other way round.
Here are the reasons:
The outbound delivery is relevant for billing if: (YOUR PRESENT CASE)
1. The Plants abroad active field is selected (found in Customizing under Financial Accounting -> Financial Accounting Global Settings -> Tax on Sales/Purchases -> Basic Settings -> Plants Abroad -> Activate Plants Abroad)
2. Country of departure (country where the plant is located) and destination country (country where the ship-to party is located) need to be different EU countries.
So, if you dont satisfy the above two conditions you will not get the billing item and that's what has happenned in your past 6 Months.

Costing relevancy for operation in standard costing

Dear all:
We are using standard costing, with the usual master data (routing operations, work centers, activity tariffs, bill of material).
Due to certain specific operations we would like in certain routings that certain operations would have a fixed relevance for the cost calculation and subsequently for the real cost.
If we changed the planned time for the operation, notifications would need to be calculated (that is, if the real time is 45 min, and we have reduced the planned time in 80% we would have to notify 9 minutes).
If we change the tariff, this would affect to all the routings linked to thart work center.
We would also rather work with the current work center, so that we would not need to change our plant reports.
The Costing relevancy of the operation in the routing is not apropiate for this, as it only works for inventory costing.
Any simple idea to achieve that?

In master receipe, without maintaining operation the phase can not be maintained.
Scheduling & costing of the process order are dependent on phase.
So hierarchly phase is below the operation but have importance than that of operation.
Control receipe destination is the mandatory entry.

Route relevance for shipment

Hi! Gurus...
Can we plan a delivery in shipment without maintaining transportation relevance for routes?
I mean just maintain transportation relevance for deliveries and delviery item categories.
I am not able to add a delivery to shipment if I don't maintain transportation relvance for routes.
if this is the case then it totally defeats what SAP allows us to do in shipment ie, allow us to group delvieries that go on different routes and creat a single shipment document.
Please clarify. Maybe I am wrong and I am missing some setting.

I am afraid, you cannot add a delivery whose route is not transportation relevant to a shipment. But it does not defeat SAP's purpose to add deliveries for different routes into the same shipments. The concept is that a shipment can only be created if the delivery type, delivery items and the route in the delievery all are relevant for transportation, then only a transportation is planned and executed.
If there is no need for transportation, then we do not need any shipments. Hence all the 3 conditions need to be fulfilled for a shipment to be created (for a delivery).

Document is not relevant for billing

Dear All,
We are implementing ECC 6 in one of our client.
Our client manufacturer of x finished product, they want monitor the production process through Project system and deliver should be through project system,
We did the complete configuration from Production order till delivery in PS is working fine.
But when we try to post billing document from the delivery document, the system is showing the following error,
Document is not relevant for billing: LP is not relevant for F2.
Our doubt is in this process, whether excise invoice will be generated or not?
this LP is hard coded in SAP, We are unable to rectify the error,
our GO-LIVE date is 1st March
can any one help us to solve this issue?

What is LP ?? Is it Delivery type or Item Category ?? Nevertheless, copy control is missing in VTFL.
whether excise invoice will be generated or not?
If physical material movement is there from a manufacturing plant to outside, then definitely, you should generate an excise invoice
