Without Data Pack... Can Be A Proud Owner of BB C 8520??

Hey Guyzz...
I have just bought a new BB Curve 8520, but due to bad financial status, I have planned not to get a data pack from my service provider, as i would be using WiFi at home & Work Place.
1. Plz advice me whether I can fully access net via WiFi without a Data Pack or not???
2. Wanna know if I can download Attchments(pdf, documents, presentations,etc) & edit them via WiFi or not.
3. Wanna know if I can download BB Apps from BB App World & install them them via WiFi or not.
4. Also, If I Can transfer both the Apps & Attchments from my laptop to my BB via Bluetooth or Data cable or not???
I have heard that i cannt do so without Data Pack.. Plz advice me...

I am not 100 % sure of this but here is my best guess:
1. you can surf the web with wifi alone
2. I would think you could do that
3. not sure about app world,
4. you should be able to transfer some types of media using a usb

Yes u can create table without data element.
In that case in place of Data element u need to specify the Predefined type.
Enter the name of field and the press on Built-In type button. This will disable the data element entry fields and enable the Built-in type field where in u can put the predefined type like CHAR, INT1 etc.

Verizon without data?

I have a Curve 8310 and a Bold 9650. I use very little ot my data plan and would like to block data through Verizon and just pay for phone service. I like both phones but can't justify the added cost. I have blocked data on my children's phones (KIN Two and a LG data ready phone). Verizon tells me that they "can not" block the data to these phones. Is this true? Why? Are these phones unusable without data? Can't I get updates from the computer? Please enlighten me. Thanks

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
BBs without data plans are, IMHO, close to useless and not worth having. There just are too many services that they depend on a proper data plan for functionality. But, that said, there is nothing about the BB itself that says it cannot work, as just a phone, with no data plan. However, each carrier has their own policies and procedures...it is entirely possible that VZW will not allow a BB onto their network without a proper data plan...and, being their network, they have every right to have such a policy.

You need to copy everything form your old computer, or your backup copy of your old computer to your new one.
The iphone is not a storage/backup device. it simply mirrors the selected content of the computer to which it is synced.

What can I do simply to keep all my previous contents, (own pics, videos, etc.) on my previously authorized iPad on PC, but get a new authorisation and a right syncronization, without data loss with a new iTunes on my new Mac?

I already had an iPad(1) and its full contents (not only the purchased items, applications from Apple, but my all own pics, videos, songs etc.) is normally syncronized with an authorized PC (Windows) computer.
Now, I've bought a new MacBook Air computer, and want to sell my PC. But I don't know how to transfer (or syncronize) all of the contents from my previous iTunes on PC to the new one on the Mac.
When I connected my iPad to my new MacBook Air, I promted, if I want to change authorization of my iPad to the MacBook.
But also got a warning, that the new iTunes will delete from my iPad all my previously syncronized items, pics, videos and music, with the previously authorized iTunes on the previous computer, expect the saved pics from the net.
What can I do just like that, simply to keep all my previous contents on my iPad, but have a new authorisation and a right syncronization, without data loss with the new iTunes on my new Mac?

Here are some instructions that I have posted several times that may be helpful to you as they have been to others. You can simply ignore anything that does not apply or that you have already done.
As Alan stated above - transferring the iTunes library is the best first step. If you can transfer the iTunes library to the Mac, most of this will be unecessary for you to do.
Very Important ....
1. Authorize the computer.
2. Turn off auto sync in iTunes
3. Transfer purchases

1) Without connecting your iPad to your new computer, start iTunes. Click on iTunes. Click on Preferences. Click on Devices. Check the box next to "Prevent your iPod etc. from automatically syncing." Click OK.
2) Now connect your iPad to your computer and start iTunes.
3) When iTunes starts, right click on your iPad under Devices in the left column. Select Transfer purchases etc.
4) After it finishes transferring all your apps to your computer, right click on your iPad and select Backup your iPad.
5) After it finishes backing up your iPad, right click on your iPad and select Restore etc.
6) After it finishes restoring, left click on your iPad , then click on the Apps tab on top, and check the box next to Sync Apps, then click on Apply below.
If everything on your iPad looks good after the sync, go back and click on iTunes / Preferences / Devices and UN-check the box next to Prevent your iPod etc. The only other thing you may want to check is if your contacts, bookmarks, etc. are syncing correctly now. If not, go to the Info tab after connecting and make sure you indicate which features you want to sync with what sources.
Read this thread and the support links as well. There are apps that you can purchase that will allow you to transfer photos from the iPad to your computer. Look at Photo Transfer App in the App store and you can search for others as well.

One final note - you may want to leave auto sync turned off - but that is totally up to you. I never did use auto sync.

There is no other way. Without the correct credentials you won't be able to use it.
Activation Lock cannot be bypassed, Apple will not help unless you have the original receipt (but not from some 3rd party)

I want to bring some data from all tables in a single owner of the production database for development environment.
My initial requirements are: seeking information on company code (emp), contract status (status) and / or effective date of contract settlement (dt_liq_efetiva) - a small amount of data to developers.
These three fields are present in the main system table (the table of contracts). Then I thought about ...
- create a temporary table from the query results table to contract;
- and then use this temporary table as a reference to fetch the data in other tables of the owner while maintaining integrity. But how? I have not found the answer, because: what to do when not there is the possibility of a join between the contract and any other table?
I am considering the possibility of consulting the names of tables, foreign keys and columns above, and create dynamic SQL. Conceptually, something like:

We are unable to do Init without data transfer for FICA Extractors(0FC_INVDOC_XX) from BODS system. And the job is successfully completed from the BODS end but it is not hitting the source system.. Can any one please let me know how to resolve this issue.

After triggering your info pack with init without data transfer, are you able to see delta pointer at info pack-->scheduler--> init options source system.

How to enable delta without data transfer option for Collections - Extracts

Hi All,
My question is basically related to FSCM - Collections related data sources and Init and Delta loads of the same.
Once the Init is completed, I wanted to do delta without data transfer and option is graded out - means can not really select the option for Collections Data Sources ..
For Example I have OCLM_INVOICE as my data source which has lot of data to extract - and in the Init stage itself, its either giving errors or keeps running for longer time (Records to be extracted is ONLY 400000) and finally shows in the monitor as 400000 of 0 Records..
And also Is there any place where I can find that all of Collection data sources are TIME STAMP based or other options.
I appreciate your quick an ddetails reply and points will be awarded for sure.

As far as I remember there some datasources which wont support init w/o data transfer. I guess COPA is one of them. I havent worked on datasource 0CLM_INVOICE but it is possible that even this could be same case. When I seached on help.sap.com for this datasource, I found this info -

Data Packs on Prepaid

I want to tether my smart phone to my laptop and use it as a modem. My phone is prepaid. I have tested it with the 400mb that I get with my prepaid recharge and it works just fine. Can I add the 3gb data pack to my prepaid recharge? For some strange reason Telstra does not mention anywhere that I can find if these data packs are for prepaid, postpaid or both.

Thanks again Kalak. Yes, I have. I use prepaid for both phone and broadband. I am a full time house sitter. So I like to have plenty of phone credit just in case I need to contact the home owners or an emergency comes up. I just finished sitting a house where I got NO optus signal at all. It was a 3 month sit, so I simply changed to Telstra for my phone. The owners provided WIFI for internet. Most of the time I use very little phone credit. But I might use 2 $30 recharges in one month at other times...For example. I am booked for 9 months of next year, so I only need "just in case" credit. But I am not booked to sit a house for Nov to Feb, so come Oct the phone will get a hammering contacting home owners. I just had a 4 day gap between house sits. So I went to visit Mum who lives in the middle of Shellharbour City...Optus signal was dismal. So I used my phone as a modem and I was impressed with the Telstra signal and speed...BUT...the speed, signal and coverage does not justify the hefty price Telstra charges. Earlier this year a sat a house for people that drove half way round the country...From Vic to WA. They relied soley on Maccas for internet. The dozen or so times I needed to contact them by email was replied to within a day or two. So Telstra is not just competing with Optus and other telcos, but free WIFI suppliers like MacDonalds. When I came accross these data packs, I thought it was worth further consideration...But Telstra needs to be realistic and competative with the pricing because there are plenty of other options including FREE options. I am still very interested at looking further into these data packs or plus packs. But Telstra needs to be open and clear and so far they have not been...They want to sell me a product, but don't want to tell how the product works or how it is paid for nor tell me exactly what I will get for my money.
