Without Distrubing Existing mapping

Hi Experts,
I have a small doubt can you clarify it plzz urgent!!!!!...
In Designer one project name is combineddatastore( using dataserver: useredwprod.cds, PS:useredwprod.cdsdefault, LS: CDS), in this all mapping are there everything is working fine.
But here i have a question
Now i want to copy the same project like duplicate it show copy of combineddatastore.
Now here i want to change the mapping without distrubing existing mapping.
and using New Dataserver(useredwdeltaprod.cds), New physical schema(useredwdeltaprod.cdsdefault) and existing logical schema(CDS).
Like these things are done inthe different catalog means existing will done on EDW and now EDWDelta catalog?
it's possible r not with out distrubing the parent project mapping i want to change the child project mappings (like.. Interfaces, packages )
Can you explain if you have any idea ..?

This reply is based on ODI 11.1.1.6 version.
If you navigate to the Designer tab and right click on the project, I am not able to see an option of copy, so this answers the first part, we cannot exactly duplicate the whole project.
Secondly create a new project , now try to copy the Mapping folders( the folder with interfaces, packages and procedures) into the other project, ODI throws an error saying "You can not copy folder into a folder belonging to another project".
However the part of you wanting to change the mappings, you can still go ahead and make copies of the interfaces, packages and procedures in the same project and change the mapping in the copied interface.
But as you told that your physical schemas are going to change, while execution please make sure that you select the right context that maps the logical schema to the new physical schema.

I have an IDOC to file scenario in which source side I have to collect multiple IDOC and map it to a single file .I am achieving it through BPM . at present I am using one multimapping and calling this mapping in the BPM under transformation step its working fine but due to some constraint , Now I want to achieve it using BPM but without calling the Mapping in the BPM i.e I don't want to use Transformation step in the BPM. Is it possible ????

If that is the case it is preferable to collect the IDocs in ECC and then send them to XI at one go.

can i install windows 8.1 as a virtual machine without an existing windows os? I only have the download of 8.1, no cd.

You have to download and run the setup.exe on a Windows system.
That will then download Windows and you can choose at the end to create install media, then choose to save as an iso.
It has to be done on a Windows machine and if you want to download 64 bit Windows it must be run on a 64 bit Windows machine.

Any way to open new browser window without using image maps?

Is there any way to open new browser window without using image maps? My code works fine in Firefox, but not in IE. There are 2 problems in IE: 1st is that the thumbnail images move up within their own borders & 2nd that when you click on an image it does open up a new browser window, but also redirects to the index page (in this case it's just a placeholder index page - the new one I've called index_new.html for the time being).

Your missing a value on the HREF. In your code you have this:

and it should be this:

If you fix the code on all your beads, it should work.

Root element added in existing mapping PI 7.1

Hi Experts,
I got existing mapping with around 500 fields, the source structure is external defination, they added the root element to existing xsd, when i try to import the external definition into the mapping it is giving following error.
Function model undefined (FUNCMODEL_UNDEF)
MESSAGE ID: com.sap.aii.mappingtool.mf.mapping.rb_Mapping.FUNCMODEL_UNDEF
Parameter AMappingTool has the invalid value null
Is anyone faced this problem before, i am working on PI 7.1, but when i create the new mapping then i can successfully imported the external definition into mapping, but how can i get my existing mapping into new mapping??

Adding to ipod from alternative iTunes catalogue without erasing existing

Is it possible to add music to ipod without erasing existing content that was synced from another PC.
So far i have been alerted that if i sync any new material from my list it will automatically erase what my daughter already has on her ipod.

Connect your iPod to your computer. If it is set to update automatically you'll get a message that it is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all the songs from your iPod. When your iPod appears in the iTunes source list change the update setting to manual, that will let you use our iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. Check the "manually manage music and videos" box in Summary then press the Apply button:

You can also use a keyboard command to prevent your iPod auto-syncing with iTunes. While connecting the iPod to the computer on Windows with iTunes 7.3 or later installed hold down the Shift + Ctrl keys together. Wait until you are sure the iPod has mounted, and that it will not auto sync and then you can let the keys go. This may take between 20 to 30 seconds depending on your computer. make sure Windows will also have the room for updates, cache, page, hibernation, and growth with 20% free space; and Mac should also have 20% or more after accounting for growth.

Restoring a db without an existing odbc connection

Hey all,
I'm looking for a way to restore a db as the first db in an
application I have written. The app normally restores DBs as a way
of automatically creating new sites, but if this is a new box and
code determines the main manager DB doesn't exist, how does one
restore a DB... without an existing ODBC to connect to the DB
server through? I'm talking specifically about SQL Server on
Win2003.
Any advice?

We recently migrated to ASA 9.1.5 from ASA 8.6. Everything worked well except static object NAT. Let me make you understand with an example.
My inside host 10.12.7.93 is not able to do name resolution from 8.8.8.8. or 8.8.4.4.

What i have observed is that there is a policy pat for destinations 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 for some inside hosts. Not that 10.12.7.93. What can be the issue? is it some bug in ASA 9.1.5? Your suggestions and comments will be really appreciated.

First of all thank you for the kind consideration.
I will test it without object NAT today and will share the result with you. I am pretty sure it will work that way. The issue is that it was all working well while using 8.6. We have production running and there are 40-50 object NATs running. I cannot afford to add all of them in NAT section 1. Cause this does not make any sense.Since the dynamic PAT is in section 3 and object NAT in section 2. So technically since my traffic matches in section 2 . It should implement that NAT instead of staying in NAT section 3.This is the NAT which is causing conflicts. But this is NAT section 3 and my object NAT for the host is in section 2.

Syncing shouldn't trouch you photos unless you have photos in a Photo Library album. These would be photos that were synced to your phone from your computer. If you do have any, you'll need to use an app like PhotoSync to transfer them to your computer prior to syncing.
If you prefer to backup your camera roll photos prior to syncing, open iTunes and go to Preferences>Devices and check "Prevent...from syncing automatically". Then connect your phone to your computer and import them as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.
Then, to minimize data loss, follow the steps in this user tip: https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3141. To follow the steps, first open iTunes and go to View>Show Sidebar. Also, Transfer Purchases is now located in File>Devices.

Although there is not a way to remove past purchases from your iTunes account completely, you can hide them so that you don't have to see them if you don't want to. This article will help you do that:

Hide your purchases
Open iTunes on your Mac or PC.
From the Store menu, choose Store > Sign In, and then enter your Apple ID and password.
Go to the iTunes Store.
Click Purchased from the Quick Links section on the right side of the iTunes Store.
Choose a content type by clicking Music, Movies, TV Shows, Apps, or Books from the top of the window.
A list of your purchased items for the content type you are viewing will appear. Mouse over the item you want to hide until an X appears its top-left corner.
A confirmation dialog will appear once you click the X.

I did manage to solve problem of music transfer iPad mini-PC, however I didn't succeed in approaching iTunes Store and there is nothing in the manual about it.
When I open application I have iTunes U interface and cannot move anywhere but close app. I did try to re -enter pass and ID in iTunes Store app settings but nothing changed.
Does anyone have any idea what to do in order to have approach to ITunes Store.

For future reference, since I came here for the same reason, I'd like to add to the solution. The link was not complete in explaining how to, but then again I'll just trying to attempt to fill in the gap.
After opening iTunes, on the upper left hand side is a small icon with an arrow pointing down. Click on the arrow and a menu pops out. Click on "Show Menu Bar." On the new bar(Older iTunes File, Edit, View, Controls, etc. bar at the top). Click on View and then Show Side Bar. There you can just click and drag new songs into your iDevice without any problems... hopefully...
Seriously, this helped me, so if Apple finds a way to not allow me to do this simple task of adding purchased songs into my idevices from another computer, I'll have to resort to other means.
The one idevice that's having trouble with is my iShuffle(2nd).

Send attachment via Receiver FILE/JMS adapter without using any Mapping.

R/3 program creates one (encoded) text file, which I want to send via Proxy to JMS adapter without any mapping or FCC.
Note: I don't want to use File adapter to pick the file from R3 dir and then send it to JMS.
Reference: I have gone through below mentioned blog which produces the attachment in the XI payload but I am not able to write the same attachment to my XI dir using Receiver File adapter (File adapter is just for testing actual adapter will be used as Receiver JMS adapter).

Actually the idea was to explore the possibilities of "Proxy with attachment". And I also wanted to confirm with experts like you before going to other options. Anyway it seems it's only possible with mail adapter.
Reason for exploring above possibility: Since ABAP team has to create one text file and encode it, so we thought to call the outbound proxy in the ABAP program to send the same file as an attachment and then simply send it to JMS. Which is quite obvious thinking when you don't want to manage a share directory between R3 & XI or don't want to manage FTP user and pwd.

This we already kept in our mind as a last option in case if above thing is not possible then we can easily do it by this way.
