Without icloud activation will the iphone 6 receive calls from another sim?
i lost my iphone 6 yesterday. i erased my data using find my iphone app. now i am not able to find the location of the iphone. i have given a complaint to the police officers so they put my iphone into tracking using my imei number. but will the iphone receive signal from another sim without activation to trace the phone?
please help me to find my iphone.

That's because you erased it.

No. But chances are whoever finds it will encounter Activation Lock and will not be able to use it anyway.

How do I set a different caller ID for the iPhone Cellular Calls from my Mac?
This will get lengthy so bare with me. My wife and I both have an iPhone and we use the same iCloud account. I wanted to set up my Mac to handle my phone calls with the new feature on Yosemite so I went into Preferences on the FaceTime app on my Mac to turn on iPhone Cellular Calls. When I do so, it tells me that the calls will be made using my wifes caller ID and not mine. I know that I can click my phone number above that in the "You can be reached for FaceTime at:" section and it will give me the choice of using my phone number but I only want use my email for FaceTime on my Mac and when only my email is checked for where to be reached at, it doesn't give me an option of what phone number I want the Caller ID to be. If anyone understands that, please help me change the default Caller ID to my own and not my wife's!! Thanks!

CAN THE IPHONE BE RESTORED FROM ANOTHER COMPUTER?
I plugged in my iPhone to my Windows 7 computer through the USB port.
iTunes ran and I proceeded to update the OS. This failed. Not Apples fault.
Rather, it's Microsoft's fault because there's a bug in their last Windows update where it disables USB ports.
The bug is: if I plug a device to a USB port, it's not recognized at all (nothing happens).
If the device was already plugged in when I turned on the computer, the USB port works.
However, if I then unplug that device and plug it back in, it doesn't work.
The USB where my iPhone was plugged in stopped working because I think the iTunes update turns the USB
port on and off.
Since the OS did not get installed, iTunes told me I must restore my iPhone to the factory settings.
That did not work because of the USB port problem. I could not even turn on my iPhone. It was totally non-functional.
I then went to my sons computer and did a restore, but because all of my data is on my computer,
I lost EVERYTHING. Or is it lost? I copied the music\itunes folder from my bad computer to my sons computer,
but when restore ran, it did not recognize this data, instead it recognized my sons iPod data.
My Question is: Is there a way to copy the iPhone data on my stricken computer and transfer that to my sons
computer where I can then do a restore using that data?
Can I just manually copy a folder from the broken computer to the good computer?

I was able to get the procedure for using the terminal to format partitions of a specific size, and found out that the EFI partition is automatically generated when partitioning the drive, so I only had to create a 400 MB Recovery partition (although I couldn't get it smaller than 528 MB), a 900 MB OSBoot partition, and the rest as Media. Using Disk Utility, I recovered the downloaded disk image to the OSBoot partition, reconnected the hard drive, plugged in the AppleTV and let her rip.
Flashing question mark gone, although for some reason it initially booted in recovery mode, where I was supposed to be able to restart, run diagnostics, or restore firmware to factory resets. Diagnostics ran fine, but I was not able to restore to factory resets. Nevertheless, when I restarted again, the AppleTV worked fine. I even downloaded a couple of updates, viewed some trailers, etc.

Can I get the Write window in the foreground when called from another application?
When windows applications create a new message through thunderbird (quickbooks wants to send an invoice for example) the new message appears in the background and bothers the user who prefered the way outlook would pop up newly created messages in the foreground. The foreground popup is the preferred work flow as the operator clicks 'send invoice' and then the message pops up for review and for the operator to hit send. Now migrating to Thunderbird, in frustration the user is creating many drafts but not always sending the invoice.
How can I set Thunderbird to popup a new message window in the foreground in this case?

I'm trying to get around this using a small free utility I already have in my windows startup folder: Deskpins (see http://www.snapfiles.com/get/deskpins.html). This little app, which sits in the taskbar icon area, can force any window stay on top, (visually) "pinning" it also. Very handy. This little gem also has an optional "autopin" feature, which can "intercept" a new window by class & title (with wildcards). when a new "compose" window is created, even when "sending a file to recipient" using windows standard tools (eg: right click on file and send>mail recipient) now I see the window "on top" and is "pinned"... of course it would have been much, much better to have a native better behaviour, but in the meanwhile... this could work. Maybe similar solutions are available for other OSes...

You have to restore the device if you want to use more iCloud accounts. Make a backup and go to Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings. Note that you will have to set up the iPhone again and you will lose everything -

Unfortunately once all the 3 iCloud accounts have been created on your device, you cannot create any more regardless of what you do. You will need to re-use one of the accounts that you have already created or create your new account on another iOS device or Mac computer. -

you have to make sure that CFWD Bridge Mode under the Line tab of the SPA9000 where the SPA400 is registered is set to ALL...include VMSP Bridge and XFER Bridge Mode as well..power cycle then check if you are still getting one-way audio

There is no way to view your photos via iCloud.com. Videos are not uploaded.
Photo Stream merely "pushes" the photos to your other devices. -
Can I receive calls from 2 iphones on yosemite?

I see that you have a question about some of the new Continuity features in your devices. The situation you are describing should be able to work, as long as you are using the same iCloud account across all devices and all devices are updated to iOS 8 or Yosemite. will the iphone 3g ever be opened up to more than gsm network, possibly verizon which uses cdma and carries a much larger 3g coverage area than at&t ever dreamed of? i welcome any opinions or hear say, but would love a possible official apple rep answer. thanks
HSPA which the iPhone 3G(S) has which will be leading to LTE, part of my reason to switch to the 3G(S) was because I read the 3G wont be supporting the 7.2 coming out next from AT&T. The phone has the capability but wont be able to "handle" it without consuming an extreme amount of power. AT&T will be boosting the 850Mhz band (the lower bands give way to better signal strength inside buildings) to 7.2 and from 7.2 to 21.
AT&T has already signaled its next two moves. It expects to jump to 21 Mbps after 7.2 Mbps, and has a fourth-generation (4G) standard called Long Term Evolution or (LTE) in the wings that promises 50 to 100 Mbps of raw speed. There’s no date for 21 HSPA, but AT&T plans to have trials of LTE in place by late 2010 and commercially available service in 2011
As for Verizon, I cant see Apple allowing Verizon to trash the phone with their crapware. I for one dont want some sort of red theme anything on my phone. -
I have a large number of contacts in my Outlook account. As long as that account is active on the iPhone (6 ) the contact are available on the phone but disappear when that account is removed from the phone. How do I transfer the contacts permanently to the phone?
Archive the contacts you have in Address book, then delete them, they will be removed from iCloud as well. Restore the archive
