Wix Hyperlinks Won't Open in 'Same Page' - iWeb 09

I recently built a flash intro for my personal website (www.justinmiller.info) using Wix. It's basically some photos of me that you can hover over; the photo expands and you can click on it to be directed to one of the pages on my site.
I have embedded the code in iWeb, published the site, and the rollover effects work fine. The issue is that when I set the "go to URL" of each picture (in Wix) to open up in the same window, the links do not work. I've tried with both Safari and Firefox. If I set the links to open in NEW windows they will work, but this is hardly convenient for someone browsing my website. This one has me stumped.
My question, therefore, is why won't the links from my Wix widget open in the same window. Does anyone have any advice / tips on how I can make this work?
I should also mention that when I test my widget in Wix' "preview" pane, my links work as they are supposed to (either in same page or new page, as I have them set). It's only when I embed my widget in iWeb that they cease to open in the same page.

Cedric - I'm in 08. I posted in the 06 forum first by mistake. And I basically don't know "how" I built the site. I just kind of poked around like I usually do, trial by many errors.
Roddy - I've had the folder and index on my desktop. I hadn't previously uploaded the index and just did so but nothing's changed. My host company doesn't have an actual control panel. I have a feeling it's not a great one. At least for a beginner. Is there anything on their site I should be looking for?
Cyclo - I hadn't nothiced the Hear button working correctly, since I haven't actually been working there yet! You're right it works. I guess I do have to rebuild the text buttons as you say. I guess this is the down fall of not knowing HTML.

I can't access the financial portfolio. A page comes up saying Safari can't open this page. I have followed their help to steps with no result.

How to set Preferences such that new tabs open to same page as active when Command-T was hit?

On opening a new tab, the tab by default opens to thumbnails based on recent history. A la Safari, I want the new tab to open *to same page as was active when Command-T was hit*. What are the specific steps to take, to set as the default (preference), new pages to open to "Same page"? ("Same page" is Safari's check box in its Preferences.)
Note, I have navigated available Mozilla Support, and using about:config have reset browser.newtab.url so that the new tab appears blank (discontinuing tracking of recent history for this purpose).
Note, more importantly, I have found this Support Forum article, which, though challengingly written, has given me a temporary solution:

Safari won't open the download page...any reason why

I have purchased a monthly subscription to acrobat XI, but safari won't open the necessary page. it tells me I don't have the APP etc. No idea what it means

I maged to download it and install it, but it’s constantly damaged and won’t open.

Infact I have no "Apps App" to tap & open so i cannot view/purchase any Apps for my iPhone
My wife's even tried downloading Apps to my iPhone from our iPad after syncing them up but all it seems to do is send me the App badge from our iPad to my iPhone but cannot open it because the App is still 'Waiting'...Waiting for what???...nothing!??...No download???...just a faded App which won't open? Hyperlink won't open PDF when exporting from pages

When I'm export my docunment from pages 5.1, only the first page's hyperlink works. All the other pages are underlined but the hyperlinks do not work. Any solutions?

One of many bugs and missing features in Pages 5.
It happens to links with edited URLs after the first page.
If you still have Pages '08/'09 on your Mac use that and give yourself an upgrade to 100+ features missing in Pages 5.

Safari won't open some secure pages

It's not just Safari, though - Firefox, Chrome, Opera.
It's not just my iMac either - MacBook Pro *AND* iPad.
Some secure sites simply won't open. It looks like they load (the timer thing goes through the URL) but blink - no page. Just a blank browser window.
Any clues??
I've tried reinstalling browsers, trashing preferences, turning off all security measures - pretty much anything you can think of. OS is 10.8.3, browsers are all updated to most recent versions.
I'm stumped. It wouldn't be a big deal except for one page that I NEED to get to for my job. I can't keep running over to my neighbor's house and using IE on his Windows 7 PC - not only is it irritating him, but it's making me crazy that something that works so effortlessly on his crappy PC won't work AT ALL on my Macs!

3 devices - they all connect using the same router/modem ?
can you connect at neighbouring house using ipad or macbook pro ? - that would maybe confirm the issue being with your connection.

Navigatetourl won't open in same window and in infinite refresh

I have a project that requires a skip button and to go to a specified url in the same window once the animation is complete. The button works, however the navigatetourl in the last frame is not behaving.
Here is the code I've placed in the last frame:

I've tried moving it to an earlier frame, placing a stop in the earlier frame, moving the stop command to after and so on. No matter what I do, the new url opens in a new window and is in a constant state of refresh. I also have the loop turned off but the animation begins to load the first frame again anyway. Please help. I've tried many fixed listed in forums that are all about the same with no different results. NOTE: You will have to close the browser to get the refresh to stop.
I've been working on this one issue two days and am at a complete loss.

I installed Firefox and it won't open any web pages at all, why?

No matter what web address I type in nothing comes up. Even have tried clickig on the 'Getting Started' button and it won't open either.

Hi mcclausky, you may need to manually remove a policy setting from the registry. You also should scan for malware that might have created this problem.

Safari won't open certain web pages

Hi,
I can't get Safari to open certain web pages. This has only been the case for the last week or so, I could happily view them before.
2 examples are : www.facebook.com and www.quaysws.co.uk
can anybody please help, it just seems a bit weird...

to open in both Safari and Firefox. Mind you at the same time, I cannot get Apple.com to open in Safari I'm running Leopard with Safari 3.0.4. Whoa Safari just decided that Apple.com does exist and opened it without me first having to restart the computer. Safari definitely has some bugs but you may want to make sure that you don't have any 3rd party add-ons set up and you may have to reinstall.

Several times a month, when I go to open Firefox, it says "wait installing new updates". After they are installed, Firefox won't open, it says "page not found." I have to then reload Firefox. How can I stop these updates?

Urgent ! open the same page in query and create record mode...

We have to page in our project
First page include a list show employees(page1) and second page(page2) showsdetail information on employees.
We have two button on page1 ("CREATE NEW EMPLOYEES" and "EDIT EMPLOYEES")
When we press create button we need to create a record on second page.
Second page is needed to open create insert mode.
When we press edit button we need to edit emloyees details.
Second page shows queried record.
can we implement this using faces config xml without writing code . Or do we need to write code.
How can we implement create insert and query event on the same page call (page2)...

Hi,
using ADF, drag the edit button from the component palette and point its navigation case to the next page that contains the edit form.
Drag and drop the create button from the data control palette by dragging the "create" operation of the VO to the page. Also set the navigation case to the edit form and change the pagedef file (the binding) for this "Create" operation to use CreateInsert as an operation

Safari update to 5.1.5, on snow leopard, now safari won't open any web page.

Just installed Safari update to 5.1.5 and now Safari won't load any web page. Running snow leopard on an iMac. How do I fix, or revert to previous version of Safari that did work, keeping in mind, can't access internet on that computer since Safari won't load a web page (Firefox, Chrome, Opera have never worked on that computer, although Firefox worked fine until I upgraded OS to snow leopard).

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
Step 1
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
Enable guest logins and log in as Guest. For instructions, launch the System Preferences application, select Help from the menu bar, and enter “Set up a guest account” (without the quotes) in the search box.
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your personal files or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem(s)?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault in Mac OS X 10.7 or later, then you can’t enable the Guest account. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
Step 2
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. The instructions provided by Apple are as follows:
Be sure your Mac is shut down.
Press the power button.
Immediately after you hear the startup tone, hold the Shift key. The Shift key should be held as soon as possible after the startup tone, but not before the tone.
Release the Shift key when you see the gray Apple icon and the progress indicator (looks like a spinning gear).
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including wireless networking on certain Macs.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem(s)?
After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of steps 1 and 2.

Pages 08 won't open my old pages file

I just upgraded to Pages 08 and when I try to open the file I was working on yesterday, with the previous version of pages, it says "The document...couldn't be opened". How can I open the old pages file with the new version?

It may be useful to trash the preferences file:
<bootVolume>:Users:<yourAccount>:Library:Preferences:com.apple.iWork.Pages.plist
But I'm afraid that the document is corrupted.
Control click its icon then select the "Show package's contents" in the contextual menu.
The standard contents is:
Contents
QuickLook
index.xml.gz
The described message is displayed when there is no "index.xml.gz" (or "index.xml") file.
It is also displayed when the "index.xml.gz" (or "index.xml") is badly formed.
The index may be dropped when the documents where stored on an iDisk.
