WL Clustering - session affinity not working

Hello,
I have a cluster setup in WL 9.2 with two nodes. Our requirement is to a session when establishes the session with Node1 in the cluster should always stay connected to it. It should not point to Node2 through its life.
In otherwords i want to have session affinity established.
What parameter I should change to make that I aceive this.
WL 9.2 is on solaris 10 and the webserver used are iplanet.

Reopen All Windows from Last Session is not working

The option Reopen All Windows from Last Session is not working, is there any other way to recover the tabs from my last session?
Last night I fell asleep and my friend shut down my laptop.
When I woke up in the morning I couldn't restore my last session which had several tabs opened for my research.
I don't know the exact date when I found them, so I haven't been able to find them in History either.
I've looked around on the internet, but haven't been able to find anything that helped me out.

Java session is not working in browser sometimes

Hi,
In some PC, sometimes session is not working properly in browser.
In JSP, I am creating the session like below
session = request.getSession(true);
session.putValue("loginid",login);
But in next page, it is showing null value.
I have checked the browser setting... cookies are enabled... everything is ok in browser setting..
In our company, this issue is coming in some of PC not all in all the PC
If we format the harddisk & again reinstall the OS, it starts working.
Anyone can pls help me on this?. This is very urgent.

As of Version 2.2 putValue(java.lang.String name,
java.lang.Object value) has been deprecated.
Use session.setAttribute("loginid",login) instead of putValue()

Session replication not working with OAM clusters

Hi,
We have a enterprise deployment of OAM 11.1.1.5.0, and we are using a cluster or OAM managed servers. Server#A (fano1) hosts the admin + OAM managed server, server#B (fano2) hosts the second OAM managed server.
What we have noticed in general is that when accessing the OAM admin console (on server#A, fano1), we get prompted to login and then we get a "Error 404--Not Found". It seems that we are getting authenticated against server#B (fano2) and our session is not getting replicated to server#A (fano1). After exactly 60 seconds, if we were to simply reload the URL in the same browser window, we can get in. This is with "database replication of sessions" enabled. If I disable that, then I will never be able to login to the admin console.
The admin server logs contain the error message:

One other point is that we are using virtual IPs and each server (Admin + 2 managed servers) is listening to its own virtual IP.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what this could be. My thinking is that coherence based session replication is not working. However I have no way to say that for sure. Is there any way to enable some more logging from either OAM or Coherence that would help verify if sessions are getting replicated or not? I have tried putting the entire system in TRACE:32 but that generates too much data.

'Reopen All Windows From Last Session' Will Not Work

So, first Safari won't let me even open a new window and told me that I needed to reinstall and that my version of Safari was missing something - I can't remember the precise thing it told me I was missing. At that point, I restarted to see if that wouldn't fix the problem - it didn't, and 'Reopen All Windows From Last Session' wasn't working then. I reinstalled, and now everything else is working fine exact 'Reopen All Windows From Last Session' - it's not grayed out or anything, but when I click it *nothing happens*
Any help would be appreciated.

Save-sessions-enabled not working

WLS 8.1SP4
EAR file with WAR file.
CLuster of 2 managed servers.
In-Memory Replication.
save-sessions-enabled set to true in weblogic.xml
save-sessions-enmabled doesnt seem to work. I log into the web app, do work, redeploy the webapp, and the next click in teh web app forces me to log-in again, i.e. my session is lost.
Sam Pullara had a comment in 2003 about it not working with replicated sessions until SP2. I'm on SP4.
Any ideas before I raise a case?

I have checked the support site and this is still a problem in SP3. A pach was available for SP3.
Apparently, you get the problem if you deploy the app with context-root = '/'.
I have raised a case to see if a patch is available for SP4.

I updated AVG, and now Firefox's Restore Previous Session is not working properly. I've restarted my computer a few times, and still no restore previous session. I have the button, but it looks different and does not open up the previous session. Help!

I updated AVG and after that the restore session button for Firefox has not worked. Each time I close and that option becomes available, I am able to click, but it does nothing but blink. Also, it appears different from before.

Had this trouble myself, just did some research and solved it!

On the new window, click "'''Open Containing folder'''" next to ''Profile Directory'' (This opens the folder on your PC where Mozilla stores some settings, like a tab history)
In the new Windows Explorer window, Find the file "'''chromeappsstore.sqlite'''"
You'll want to close Firefox and then '''delete''' that file (don't worry, Firefox will create a new one, and you won't even lose the open tabs)
Start Firefox again and the button should work!
(For completeness's sake, the profile folder for windows7 is: C:\Users\Tiberion\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\c6xu23fh.default\
where you replace Tiberion with your own username, and the random characters in the final folder will be different.)

In-memory replication of http session is not working in BEA7 cluster

          Hi everyone,
          I have 3 managed servers in Bea7.0 SP4 in a cluster. The client requests are sent
          through apache web server. I have given cluster address as URL in httpd.conf of
          apache server which sends the client requests for dynamic pages such as JSPs and
          servlets to the weblogic cluster.
          Load balancing is working fine. I ensured this from the log files of all the 3
          servers. All the 3 servers are getting different client requests and thus load
          balancing is working.
          Now, I wanted to achieve Fail-over. I do not think that i should use proxy plug-in
          for this. I feel the cluster itself will handle fail-over provided i make the
          http session as memory replicated.
          I updated the weblogic.xml with the following entry :
          <session-descriptor>
          <param-name>PersistentStoreType</param-name>
          <param-value>replicated</param-value>
          </session-param>
          </session-descriptor>
          I guess this is sufficient to make the http session as cluster aware.
          But when I shutdown server1, the user connected to server1 will be kicked out
          of the session and come to login page through server2 or server3 which are running
          fine.
          Could anyone help me to achieve http session as cluster aware. Does it indicate
          that I have to go for WLS proxy – HttpClusterServlet to achieve fail over for
          http session ?
          BTW, for your info, i am using setAttribute() and getAttribute() while manipulating
          the session.

          I can see failover working.
          But, I can not continue with the same session in my application.
          I printed session Ids before and after failover, I found both are different.
          I guess session replication is a responsibility of weblogic/apache plugin.
          If not please let me know which all settings I should do to make failover working?

PAPI API session.getVar Not working with ALBPM5.7SP1 WE

Hi,
I was using papi api to get processes passing a filter in ALIP 1.5. The following code was working fine:
VarDefinition variable = session.getVar(VarDefinition.ACTIVITY_ID);
But after I upgraded to ALBPM5.7SP1 WE. The API does not return the variale. It returns null.
Is there anything special I need to do to make this work??

Bdc session is not working for multiple records

we have written abdc for f-27 using the session method.it is working fine for one record but if we supply mulite records it
is giving the error, like bseg-wbter( ie amount which comes in the second screen) is not found in screen 1.
ie the first screen.The bdc is working fine for one record in notepad.after completing the first record it goes to
second record and in the first screen itself it says amount field not found in screen 1. But
actually this field comes in second screen.

JDBC persistence of session data not working on iPlanet Web Server, Enterprise Edition 6.0 SP2

I am using windows 2000.
iPlanet Web Server, Enterprise Edition 6.0 SP2
I tried to do jdbc persistence for sessiondata.
Somehow it didn't work.
I edited the JdbcStore code and added some system.outs in it.
From the logs I could note that
It is going into
JdbcStore.init(Properties config)//when the server starts up
JdbcStore.reap(long currentTime) //when the server is brought down
But it is not going into
JdbcStore.save(IWSHttpSession session)
JdbcStore.remove(IWSHttpSession session)
JdbcStore.load(IWSHttpSession session)
I did a "select count(*) from sessions" and it got me
no of rows=0.
The logs contained

I'm trying to do the same thing with a file store, also somewhat unsuccessfully. However, one thing I can point out is that the manual says that the <session-manager> element should be within the <web-app> element in web-apps.xml. In your example, it is outside of it.

Resrore Previous Session does not work in FF6

FF6 does not save tabs, etc. when closed -- unexpectedly or by File==>Exit or by History==>Restore Previous Session (option is greyed out). No "Restore Precious Session" button appears on opening page.

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in permanent Private Browsing mode.

LR 6 doe not open on Mac, chat session does not work.

I originally installed LR5, stand alone. Then I went to the CC, with the LR/PS package. I just installed LR6 via CC, but it will not open. I get a flash of the title screen, but then it immediately closes. I have tried Chat, but it seems to sit and do nothing. I never get a chat session. 1) how do I get LR6 via CC to open? 2) It appears I have two copies of LR on my macbook will LR6 automatically find my LR5 photos?

FYI, I have tried logging out and then back in.

SCCM 2012 - Automatic User Device affinity - Not Working

Hi,
I need to enable the Automatic User Device affinity.
Have enabled following two group policy settings:
Audit account logon events
Audit logon events
In client settings User and Device Affinity
following is enabled:
User device affinity threshold (120 minutes)
User device affinity threshold (2 days)
Automatically configure user device affinity from usage data – True
However even after 2 days there is no user device relationship getting build.
Is there anything more required to be done?
Any logs or links to be referred for troubleshooting?
