WL commerce server install problem

Ok, this has me feeling real stupid:
Fresh install, Windows 2000, JDK 1.3, WLS 5.1, SP6 (including the tags
file). Once I start
the installer and enter the installation directory (it doesn't show a
default, should it?), the installer says something like "configuring your
application" and that's it. It stays frozen. Can't even exit the install
(trying to close the installer window pops a dialog asking if I want to exit
or cancel, neither does anything).
Is this a JDK issue?
Thanks,
Guy

I am angry because all oracle product have got install bug :/ i try install oracle database into ubuntu and its so complicated. Please tell me why its so complicated to install oracle software why it isnt easy such like install windows ???Oracle Database isn't supported on Ubuntu. It's very, very easy to install Oracle Database on Oracle Linux (and almost as easy on Red Hat Enterprise Linux and CentOS), Solaris and Windows, i.e. the supported operating systems for Oracle Database.

    Hi Murali,
    Follow two NOTES 212394 & 661852
    or
    Ensure that PSE (Personal Security Environment) is created directly on SAP system after the system is installed, this is one time activity.
    To do this you use T Code "STRUST". You can check with your Senior Basis guy for more.
    By default the system's PSE is used to sign URLs. from SAP WAS you can also create your own PSE to sign Kpro URLs

    Hello,
    When I try to start the Weblogic Commerce server 3.2,
    I get the error message:
    The WebLogic Server did not start up properly.
    Exception raised: java.security.AccessControlException: access denied (java.util.PropertyPermission

    java.security.AccessControlException: access denied (java.util.PropertyPermission

    I have changed the property weblogic.password.system in the weblogic.properties file
    to the system password for Weblogic.
    Any ideas?

    Double-check the weblogic.policy file in your WLS 5.1 installation directory. My codeBase and
    FilePermission for my WinNT installation looks like this:
    grant codeBase "file:C:/wls/-" {
    permission java.io.FilePermission "C:${/}wls${/}-", "read,write,delete,execute";

  • CS3 Server Install problems

    Hello,
    I'm trying to install CS3 Server on Vista, but get a setup error also on Windows 2000 Server it is not working.
    Finally I'm trying to install it on XP it is running the installation program but at the installation options I cannot continue.
    Does someone have a solution for this.
    Thanks,
    Jelle

    I had the same problem too but found out what caused it.
    InDesign Server can only run on the following:
    1) Mac OSX Server 10.4.x or higher
    2) MS Windows Server 2003, with the most current Service Packs installed.
    3) Microsoft .Net Framework Version 2.0 (not 1 or 3 because it won't install)

    I am trying to install ZRS onto my SLES10SP1 ZCM10.1 server. The database is on MS SQL 2005 Standard Edition. According to the documentation for 10.1 this is supposed to work. Attached is the log file for the installation.
    Any suggestions from the many experts? Jared - I talked to you about this (only on 10.0.3.2 with a Sybase DB) at the KC-NUG meeting.

  • Mac Os X Server Install problems

    First off I have two hard drives in my computer. its a saw tooth g4 mac with 512mb of ram over 4 slots. there is no network hooked up yet
    On the main drive I have an install of mac osx 1.2 server and it boots up to a point and says startup complete, so what do I do from there?
    I do not even have the network line pluged in. I am wanting to have this system netboot and netinstall my older macs that are pleauged with broken disk drives,I need also a guide on how to run open directory with the system.
    my clients are 10.2 and 10.3 system with some os9 boxes aswell

    I feel your pain - I have had basically the same experience. I have been stunned at how hard 10.5 Server is to get going.
    In the end I did an advanced setup as I never could get the standard config to work at all. There are a couple of posts in the Install section that helped immensely - basically run the advanced install first. Don't configure any services yet. Then run Software update until you get nothing more to update - you'll probably need to update 3 or more times until you are done.
    Then set up DNS and make sure you can resolve and reverse lookup your server on your network - this seems to be THE key to making everything else work. Once basic DNS is working, then configure the multiple primary zones you will need for each website to work correctly. Watch out for the reverse lookup zone entries getting changed though.
    Now you can configure Web services and host your multiple Websites and MySQL etc. I cannot stress enough that you really, really need to download and read the manuals from the Apple Support site. Its a lot of reading and you will have to fill in some blanks as there's not many concrete examples. Apple is you read this please add a sample setup manual that applies to a "simple" configuration that would be repeatable to include Mail, Website, DNS, DHCP, Firewall, iCal Server, iChat Server.
    Use this thread to get going - Antonio Rocco's intsructions worked for me...

  • Cant install commerce server 3.5 with  wl 6.0sp2

    When I try to install commerce server 3.5 (WLCS_with_sp1UNIX.bin) I get to the
    point were it asks me for the bea home directory, which I enter as /usr/local/bea.
    I then get the message "the weblogic 6.0 is required to be installed, but is not
    present in the bea home directory of /usr/local/bea".
    I have installed wl 6.0 sp 2, and I can get it up and running with no problem.
    It is installed under /usr/local/bea/wlserver6.0.
    I am running under redhat 7.0, and the environment variables are: WEBLOGIC_HOME
    = /usr/local/bea/wlserver6.0
    PATH=${BEA_HOME}/jdk131:${PATH}
    I run the installer with the command:
    sh WLCS_with_sp1UNIX.bin
    Why wont this work?

    Hi.
    Try posting this question in the commerce server newsgroup.
    weblogic.developer.interest.commerce.
    I don't know that much about commerce server, but maybe someone there can help out.

    Hi Robert,
    Our team is well aware of the problem with WLCS 2.0 and WLS SP3 that shows
    up when using the MyBuyBeans demo.
    We are looking into this problem in engineering and we will post any
    solution(s) once we figure out the offending issue.
    Thanks.

    After we installed SP3 for our Weblogic Server and Commerce Server, our
    Example portal failed at the login step with the following error on html

  • Commerce server 3.1 installshield problem

    Has anybody else had trouble with the commerce server 3.1 installshield?
    I'm running windows 2000 professional on a brand new micron machine and it
    hangs on the installation every time.. Also it never allows you to quit the
    install (before it gets to the point where it hangs)..
    -Scott Mueller

    I figured out!! It has to do with the fact that I had loaded JDK1.3, instead
    of 1.2.2. I removed 1.3 and installed 1.2.2. I originally followed "nene"
    recommendations, but to no avail (I am noting this, because I didn't
    back out the changes). Anyways, as soon as 1.2.2 was installed it worked
    as advertised. Tommorrow I will see if it works.

    That is exactly what is happening to me.. were you able to install weblogic
    5.1 server correctly? It seems to have installed except I got about 10
    "AddIconFailure wlconfig.exe, etc." messages at the end of the install...
    seems like I simply lost the startmenu icons and folders..
    I also got the AddIconFailure messages on another machine here, but that
    guys machine was able to install commerce server 3.1 fine.. it did give the
    directory name and exit and choose work as expected..
    All of our computers here are Microns... windows 2000 professional..

    I have the same problem. Mine is a new Dell box and it hangs too.
    I never gets passed the "configuring your application" screen. Also the
    "Where you would like to install?" screen doesn't have the default
    directory name and clicking the "Choose..." button does nothing
    but gray it out. Seems like a bug in the InstallAnywhere program.

  • Trying to install Bea WebLogic Commerce Server 3.2

    Hi there!
    This is my environment:
    Red Hat Linux 6.2 Kernel 2.2.14;
    Bea WebLogic Server 5.1 service pack 9 (couldn't find service pack 6);
    Java 1.3.1 (only for the Commerce Server);
    Java 1.2.2 (only for Bea WebLogic Server);
    512 Mb RAM
    I followed instructions to install an evaluation copy of the Commerce Server 3.2
    and this is my log of activities:
    1. Registered software in order to get my evaluation license;
    2. Downloaded the 1.3.1 version of java for Linux (they say: "The Solaris and
    Linux versions of J2SE 1.3 ship with both VM implementations" (regarding client
    & server implementations) source: http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.3/docs/guide/performance/hotspot.html);
    3. Installed Java 1.3.1 as documentation says;
    4. Installed WLCS 3.2 following step by step the guide regarding the "Does not
    have a windowing environment" section (i found an error because my bundled version
    does not have the UninstallerData/Uninstaller_Haystack file);
    5. Ran the StartCommerce.sh procedure to start the server;
    6. Got this error: (please see below)
    What's wrong?

  • Problem with Weblogic Commerce Server 3.1

    I am currently evaluating the Weblogic Commerce server 3.1 product. I have
    installed the Weblogic server 5.1 and the service pack 6 along with the
    Commerce Server. I can get into the WLCS Commerce Server Templates and can

  • Installing Commerce server with Weblogic 6.0 SP1

    Hi
    I am trying to start Weblogic commerce server after its successful
    installation on my NT4.0 desktop
    Before I have installed Weblogic 6.0 SP1.
    Would commerce server work with this? (Since in documentation it
    says "platform required: Weblogic 5.1 SP6"
    I am getting the error "No class found" Looks like its a compatibility
    issue.
    Please confirm
    thanx

    Hi Santosh,
    The BEA WebLogic Commerce Server (WLCS) 3.2 does not work with the
    BEA WebLogic Server (WLS) 6.0. It only works with WLS 5.1 with the
    appropriate service pack. The next version of WLCS, 3.5, is due in
    late April and is based on WLS 6.0 SP1.
    Thanks,

  • ORA-24327 error when trying to configure Oracle JDriver 2.0 on Commerce Server 3.5 SP1 on WLServer 6.0 SP2

    When I try to install and configure the Oracle JDriver v.2.0 to work with Commerce
    Server 3.5 SP1 and WebLogic Server 6.0 SP2, on starting up the commerce server,
    I get the exceptions that follow this message. I cannot run the dbping utility
    because it says it cannot find the BEA license file to verify that JDriver is
    licensed for use. I looked over previous discussion threads on this particular
    Oracle error, and the problem in the previous cases appears to have been use of
    the wrong TNS name. I am referencing the same TNS name that is in my server's
    tnsnames.ora file. I can connect to the database using SQLNet and the same connection
    parameters that I have set up in weblogic. My Oracle home directory is set to
    the directory just above the client install. I am trying to configure Commerce
    Server on a Sun SPARC system running Solaris 8. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Jon Morgan

    Just wanted to offer some further tidbits...
    Came in ealry this monring, turned server on and kapow all clients unable to access internet. Checked server DNS settings as server can access the internet. Double checked clients DNS and all are the same.
    So, turned DNS server off/on and then splatted the dns records. Restarted server with DNS off and still the same thing.
    Staff started to arrive so had to cut it short but it seems very odd that until the upgrade all was well.
    Cheers,
