WLAN Configuration Template of Cisco Prime 2.1

Hi ,
We have added WLC 5508 in cisco prime 2.1.0.87 wherin if we try to configure WLC Configuration template then its not reflecting existing WLAN as we need to do changes in existing WLAN with configuration template. Same way we are unable to find all listed MAC-Filter list in WLAN Confiuration template to execute the template .
Can Any one help me on the same?
Thanks in advance.

Services running fine..
check it with other Browser , Supported browser are below::
–    Google Chrome 31 or later.
–    Microsoft Internet Explorer 8.0 or 9.0 with Google Chrome Frame plugin (users logging in to the simplified Lobby Ambassador interface do not need the plugin).
–    Mozilla Firefox ESR 24.
–    Mozilla Firefox 24, 25 or 26.
If above does not help , reboot the server once and check the issue again.
Thanks-
Afroz

  • NCS WLAN Configuration Template Problems

    Hi All,
I'm trying to set up WLAN Configuration templates on our new NCS server.  The version of NCS is 1.1.1.24 and the version of our WLC is 7.2.103.0.  I have two problems:
    1.  I do not see an option for AAA Override.   Has this been renamed to something else in NCS?
    2.  I do not see a way to assign a WLAN ID in the template.  This is important as I use it as a RADIUS attribute in our ClearPass guest wireless service.
    Thanks,
    Jason

    Yeah, it's a bit hidden.
For the AAA Overide, it's actually under the Security > AAA Servers.
As for setting the WLAN ID, this is not a configurable option from NCS.  It will just build the next one that is available.

    Steve

  • "Busiest Clients" report template on Cisco Prime & Aironet 1242AG

Yesterday I was trying to schedule a "Busiest Clients" report on our Cisco Prime physical appliance (PRIME-NCS-APL-K9, v2.1.0.0.87).
My goal was to monitor the busiest clients on a couple of old Aironet access-points. These APs have been installed in a branch office of our university that rely on 4 Mb/s SHDSL WAN connectivity and, as you might imagine, some saturation occurs when the classrooms are crowded.
Unfortunately, all the reports were empty ... there was only a "No data matches the specified criteria for the report” warning inside.
The Client Statistics task (Administration>Background Tasks) was enabled and I was able to run this report selecting a different floor area ... after a few tries I've discovered that this error occurs only when the old Aironet 1242AG APs are involved. If I select a floor area populated with the newer 1142 and 2602 models, the report template works as intended.
So, is there a way to fill a "Busiest Clients" report with data fetched from our old Aironet 1242AG APs?
Our WLC is a Cisco Wireless Services Module 2 Controller for Cisco Catalyst 6500 (WS-SVC-WISM2-K9).
(Sorry ... my English is a bit rusty)

    Hi,
Kindly try to restart the Dameon manager with the command line of the server
    1> net stop crmdmgtd
and then start the daemon manager --> net start crmdmgtd (wait for atleast 20-25 minutes before login back to LMS and also see if any file do exist at location CSCOps\Objects\dmgtd\ready folder).
Get the output of pdshow after waiting for 20 minutes and stdout.log and stderr.log from CSCOpx\MDC\tomcat\logs.
    Many Thanks,
    Gaganjeet

  • Cisco Prime 2.1 CLI-Template for Switch configuration Backup

    Hello everybody,
I am trying to write a CLI Template in cisco Prime to save the running-configuration of our core switch to the FTP server,
I have already configured the FTP username and Password in the core Switch
    ip ftp username cisco
    ip ftp password cisco123
in Cisco Prime I have created a template as follow:
    copy running-config ftp:
    $FTP_IP_addrress >> the FTP Server
$name                    >> the name of file and the date
After deploying this template on the core switch,
I received Error Msg in Prime as follow:
    Error : Command returned an error : copy running-config ftp: 172.16.30.30 Run_Config_Core_19_2_2015 ^ % Invalid input detected at '^' marker. QAF-DC-4507-CORE(config)#
I know that the backup files can be fetched directly from Cisco Prime in the Configuration Archives, But also I need to test if we can take a backup directly to the FTP server using Prime.
     Thanks in advance.

    Thank you Bkennedy for replying,
I changed my template to be as follow:
    #MODE_ENABLE
    copy running-config ftp:
    $Mgmt_IP_addrress
    $name
    #MODE_END_ENABLE
but still I am receiving Error like :
Error : Exception while sending interactive commands to device, Expect timeout: Failed to match expected device output due to Expect timeout current timeout 60000. Current output : Address or name of remote host []? Current expects : (DC-450.{0,30}|DC-4507-AGG)\([^\)]+\)#\s*\z DC-4507-AGG#
I believe that we have to tell the Prime how to send the variables to Switch, because the switch is waiting for the remote host IP address and the destination file name???
    DC-4507-AGG#copy running-config ftp:
Address or name of remote host []? X.Y.Z.W
    Destination filename [dc-4507-agg-confg]?
    % VRF table-id 0 not active
    % VRF table-id 0 not active
    Writing dc-4507-agg-confg !
    24425 bytes copied in 1.500 secs (16283 bytes/sec)
    DC-4507-AGG#

  • Cisco Prime infrastructure template undeploy

    Hi,
I am new to cisco prime, I have create the new Trap receiver template and deployed to one of the wireless controller and saved the deployment
Now I want to undeploy the templates, When I tried undeploying the templates for same wireless controller, I got the warning message stating "Failed to undeploy the template"
    Please advice on below points
    1. How to undeploy the templates in cisco prime infrastructure
    2. Where to find the snmp traps ( steps to check the snmp traps) in cisco prime.
    Please Help!!!!!

    Using System Logs
Prime Infrastructure logs all error, informational, and trace messages generated by all devices that are managed by Prime Infrastructure.
Prime Infrastructure also logs all SNMP messages and Syslogs it receives.
You can download and email the logs to use for troubleshooting Prime Infrastructure.
Step 1 Choose Administration > Logging. The General Logging Options Screen appears.
Step 2 Choose a Message Level.
Step 3 Check the check boxes within the Enable Log Module option to enable various administration modules. Check the Log Modules option to select all modules.
Step 4 In the Log File Settings portion, enter the following settings. These settings will be effective after restarting Prime Infrastructure.
Note The log file prefix can include the characters "%g" to sequentially number of files.
Step 5 Click the Download button to download the log file to your local machine.
Note The logs.zip filename includes a prefix with the host name, date, and time so that you can easily identify the stored log file. Included in the zip file is an html file that documents the log files.
Step 6 Enter the Email ID or Email IDs separated by commas to send the log file.
Note To send the log file in a mail you must have Email Server Configured.
    Step 7 Click Submit.

  • Comparing NX-OS Configurations in Cisco Prime 2.1 or LMS 4.2.5

    Hello All,
Maybe this is just an NX-OS thing but does anyone have issues comparing different versions of a configuration for the same device?  As an example we have Nexus 5548 running version 5.1(3)N2(1).  When someone configures an interface on the switch Prime and LMS receive syslog notifications and back up the configuration.  When you attempt to do a configuration comparison within Cisco Prime 2.1 it appears like the entire configuration has changed (see below - if you were to scroll over the entire config is red).
When I do the same comparison within LMS 4.2.5 it gives the same result.  Is this just the way it is?
    Brian

So I checked another Nexus 5548 that's running 5.0(3)N1(1c) and it is working as expected.  It seems with that device that Cisco Prime 2.1 is able to parse the configuration out and you can compare differing versions of the same device:
Looking back at the original device that Cisco Prime is having issues with it appears that everything is lumped under the global config:

  • Cisco prime infrastructure 2.2

    Hello Team,
I did like to know how i can create a baseline template using Cisco prime infrastructure 2.2 in order to compare configuration of devices.
Also I would like to inquire how I can generate a CLI template and view the CLI template before applying/deploying it to a particular device or devices.
    Best Regards,
    Tioluwani

Having just started with Prime not that long ago, I'm afraid I can't help with your first question. However, for your second question:
Go to Configuration > Templates > Features and Technologies
Along the left menu, expand CLI Templates and click on CLI
This will bring up a new, blank CLI template to the right of the menu
Just fill out the info at the top section, and input your CLI/Velocity code in the bottom section
Once you have the code like you want it, click the "Save as New Template" button at the bottom
A window will pop-up asking where you want to save it within the "My Templates" folder
Once you've selected a location, click the Save button
Your window will automatically refresh to show the newly created custom CLI template - you will now have the option to edit your template as needed, or deploy it as-is to PI devices.
To deploy the template, select the Deploy button along the bottom
A new window will pop up that allows you to prepare and schedule the template. Select the device or devices you wish to deploy to. The devices you have available to deploy to will be based on the Validation Criteria you entered when creating the template.
If you opted to use the awesome variables available to CLI templates, you can either enter those for all selected devices in the Value Assignment section, or you can fill out the variables on a per-device basis. You will skip this section if you did not define any variables. If you did use variables, you must click the Apply button at the bottom of this section after you fill in the variables, or you will receive the following error:Mandatory fields are not entered for some devices or you have not saved your changes. To save the changes, click on Apply.
In the Schedule section, you can select when the template is deployed - "Now" is the default.
Finally, the Job Option section allows you to select how Prime handles a deployment failure, whether you want Prime to save the config to startup after the deployment, and whether you want to initiate a config archive after the deployment.

  • Prime Infrastructure and WLAN Configuration Controller Templates

    Hello,
I work with PI v1.2 in customer environment. This app has SNMP relation with 7 controllers (4 controllers in 2 WiSM modules, 3 controllers are standalone). All controllers uses WLANs which I sometimes need to update. I would like to use the PI so that update all of them in one step. But when I use WLAN Configuration Controller Templates and choose given WLAN Template then the PI answer me with error message: "Unknown Exception Occured. If the problem persists send logs to the Tech Support."
Have you anyone had such a problem? Is it any bug of the application?
    Thank you.

Yes, you should be able to discover templates from the WLC

  • What are the features supported in Cisco Prime Infrastructure for WLAN for autonomous AP's?

What are the features supported in Cisco Prime Infrastructure for WLAN for autonomous AP’s?

    • PI provides visibility for autonomous  clients within the same list view as lightweight and wired clients (client list  page).
    • Rogue AP detection for autonomous AP's is not supported (it's  supported in CUWN).
    • Alarms/events for client authentication issues (e.g.  authentication failure) are displayed in PI.
    • Config management for  autonomous AP's is via CLI template.  Config comparison and archiving  functionality in PI leverages these same features that were brought in from LMS,  so need to defer to others in terms of whether this is a cross-platform feature  in PI or is only supported on a subset of platforms.  Config comparison/archive  is supported in CUWN.PI supports both infrastructure (e.g. AP Tx Power and  Channel, busiest AP, AP utilization, etc.) and client (e.g. client count, client  sessions, etc.) reports, and there are extensive reports for CUWN

  • Prime Infrastructure 2.1. Configuration template deploy problem.

Hello! I have a problem with the CLI template deployment on Cisco Prime. PI version is 2.1.
There is the following template, which contains:
    logging on
    logging 10.10.10.10
When I try to deploy it on the router 1800 IOS Version 12.3(14)T7 all is going well and the report I get the following:
    Device
    Status
    Transcript
    10.5.5.1
    Success
configlet: logging on logging 10.10.10.10 response: terminal width 0 config t logging on logging 10.10.10.10
But, when I try to deploy the same template on the router 3825 IOS Version 15.1(4)M5, the system issues the following error:
    Device
    Status
    Transcript
    10.5.5.2
    Failed
Error : Exception while sending interactive commands to device, Expect timeout: Failed to match expected device output due to Expect timeout current timeout 60000. Current output : Enter configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z. MAIN_VOICE_gate(config)# Current expects : (MAIN_VOICE_gate:579|MAIN_VOICE_gate:579)\([^\)]+\)#\s*\z MAIN_VOICE_gate:579#
In what may be the reason that Prime cannot deploy the configuration on IOS version 15.1?
    Thank you!

Good day! Yes, maybe we have the same BUG
    https://tools.cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCub57283
but in the status written that it is Fixed and applies to releases 1.2 and 2.0, but we used version 2.1.

  • Cisco Prime: Restore Backup-Configuration

    Hi,
how can I restore a backup-configuration with cisco prime on a cisco-router through TFTP?
Is there a way to say cisco prime: logon the router through ssh and then run comand copy tftp:... ?
    Thanks for your help!
    Cu, Marco

    Marco,
In PI you use Templates to be pushed on devices as configurations.
For more details check the following document for Overview of device configurations from PI.
