I have the same problem recently. I bought my nokia 3220, 3 years ago and all was ok but now I download some free themes from a web site and suddenly I realized that my cellphone has less memory. In the phone options says that I have 2,2 MB in my Gallery when actually I have only 800 KB in my Gallery. I don't know what happen!! Maybe it's a virus or what is the solution?? Can I restart the cellphone ?

Problem with Installing Nokia Ovi Store in E51

I am having problem with installing nokia Ovi store in my E51. Whenever I try to download Ovi store from my E51, it shows a error message that the component is built in and cannot be installed. I dont know wat to do now. Can anyone please give me some advice. Thanks in advance.

This means that the Ovi Store is currently installed in your E52 phone, what I can suggest is try checking under Application Manager > Installed Application, check if the Ovi Store is there. If you can't see it, try to perform the soft reset (press *#7780# on the main screen of the phone and it will prompt you restore all original phone settings? phone will restart. Press YES and it will ask you for the lock code 12345.) If anything else please reply to this message.

I am experiencing some problems with my Nokia 701

I am experiencing some problems with my Nokia 701.
1)While updating OS with Nokia suit its restart then phone becoming dead and need to remove battery and insert it again in order to work and i need to run without completing full update
2)I am getting "Memory full please some applications and try it again" while watching videos after each 5-10 mins where as no apps are running in the background.
3)Getting System error while loading any apps from Ovi Suit or Nokia Store after Downloading
4)Disconnecting automatically from ovi suit apps and many times not connecting with the apps while usb is still connected and ovi suit option is selected from the phone .
5)Cant download any apps from Nokia store web page getting "Downloading error)
6)Some time apps are closing automatically
7)Camera at low light without flash is not working well more bad than 2 mp Rs 3000 phones
8)Many other problem with Nokia Suit
9)Sound is too low with loud speaker lower than any other smartphones even lower than other's Nokia 701.
And its my first smartphone from Nokia

If an update failed, but you can still access the phone, do a reset. Dial *#7370# followed by 12345 if required, the phone will set to out of the box, but you'll have to set it up again manually and reinstall your apps. Before doing this, connect to Nokia Suite and update to the latest available software, then set up, you should then find everything works fine.

i have problem with a nokia 5310 xpress and a bluetooth!i can transfer anything from my phone to pc with or without pc suite! but when i want to transfer files from pc to phone i doesen"t work! with pcsuite soethings work but very slow! i want to transfer files witout pcsuite !
the blue tooth adapter it is dongle and it the software that i use is BlueSoleil 2.6.08

Weird problem with my Nokia E50

Hi guys!
I don't know whether this topic has been discussed before but I have a very weird problem with my Nokia E50. The problem is as follows: whenever I receive an sms message my phone remains silent (no vibration or sound) even though vibration is turned on and the sms sound is chosen, the phone is at full volume too
I've tried changing the profiles from General to Outdoor but the only sound I get is from keypresses
I don't know what went wrong. I'm totally stumped. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Need help with sync nokia E65 with mac

I tried to sync my e65 with my macbook [os X leopard] with isync but its not supported. Tho, I read in your site that after adding a plugin, it should work. I tried to find this plugin but your site says links are broken.
I want to sync my contacts and calendar, i prefer using isync, but if theres another way to backup my info, please let me know.

Problem with restoring Nokia N8

Yesterday I backed up my messages, pictures and videos because I had a problem with Nokia Maps. I did a Hard Reset and returned to install and configure everything. When I restore my files from the backup are restored only photos and videos but not the messages. I need to restore the messages too.What happens?

Having Anna I have Reset the phone (*#7370#), reinstalled Anna updates - everything went nicely. After this I restored from a previously saved Backup the Contacts, Documents, etc. - all without Applications and settings, but also Messages.
Unfortunately Messages has not been restored by Nokia Suite (ver.3.2.100)!!! - Not a single message.
I tryied with PC Suite (ver.7.1.62.1) - most of the messages coud be restored, some unfortunately not (here I used the same backup file done by Nokia Suite, I do not have another as I have not backuped with PC Suite).
With NBU Explorer I see all the messages in the Nokia Suite backup file as saved correctly. So I can export all messages with their corresponding folders to PC, with files extensions of *.VMG.
I could restore the messages by:
- Exporting them with NBU Explorer with their corresponding folders to PC, with files extensions of *.VMG.
- Having prepared the folders in My N8 Message box I imported them folder after folder into PC Suite (PC Suite - Messages - Import into an empty PC Suite message folder) - this means they are already on the N8 (PC Suite synchs to N8), just in an wrong folder (PC Suite does not correctly synch with N8)
- folder after folder I move the messages from the saved folder (uncorresct folder) to the corresponding folder.
So I managed!
BUT!
- Apparantly Nokia Suite does NOT do its job in restoring the backuped Messages
(appart from not being able to synchronise correctly as PC Suite with Outlook - Contacts and Calendar);

Problems with ICQ Nokia Lumia 720

There's a problem with ICQ on Nokia Lumia 720. The fact is that being minimized (not closed) it loses connection, after maximizing it, you have to launch the program again. Who faced this problem, did ya find any decision?

Ask the developer of the app. It is not part of the OS nor is it a Nokia developed app.

Hi, i have purchased nokia 5230 one month before. After one week i have notied that my phone network has some trouble in automatically accessing the network. I am using airtel network and then i contacted the shop and they said it may be sim problem so they said to take duplicate of the sim. After taking the duplicate sim then also the problem existed. Again i contacted them. This they said to update the software, so i gone to nokia care and updated the software and they said the problem will be solved. Then after a day when ichecked again the problem exists. So again i contacted the nokia care this time they took the phone and said they send the phone to nokia for company service and said to come back after 15 days. Yesterday they called me the phone is ok and ready to collect. So got the phone and when i checked again this problem exists. This time i tried using another network Aircel and it shows no problem. Now it clear it has some problem with airtel network. Please can any one help me to sort this problem. I am using software v20.0.005.

Is your 5230 set to dual mode (GSM + UMTS) in the network settings? Switch to GSM only and observe the difference.

Problem with 6120c Nokia Modem detection via Bluet...

There is a problem with Nokia 6120c bluetooth modem detection under Windows XP PS3. I used this phone as bluetooth modem for about a month without any problems (under Windows XP SP2). Than I’ve installed Service Pack 3 for my Win XP. About a week everything works great. A few days ago I’ve unplugged my USB Bluetooth 2.0 adapter and placed it to other USB port (on the same computer). After this operation my computer doesn’t find 6120c as a modem via bluetooth IN ANY USB PORT (Nokia Modem via Bluetooth shows as disconnected in the control panel). In the same time, Nokia file manager works normal through bluetooth connection. 6120c modem now works only via USB connection. I wonder, is this problem connected with SP3 or it is a Nokia 6120c firmware problem? I will be very grateful for your ideas concerning this problem.

Described above problem was fixed by OS reinstall. Bluetooth modem works fine for now (WinXP SP3).

Start-up problem with my Nokia 6630 series

Hi everyone! I'm new in the community. Please could anyone help with a problem I have with my 6630. I had just finished charging it and when put it on and tried to access an sms that came in the inbox was not accessible! Then I switched the phone off and later put it on only to get a shocker message which read -" phone start-up failed. Contact the retailer". I contacted the retailer who suggested I that the phone should be switched off again and later switched on. I have done this for the umpteenth time without success! Any one with an idea on how to solve this problem please. I will appreciate your urgent help. Thank you all.

Dear friend, the start-up problem I had with my nokia 6630 has been solved! I switched off the phone, removed the memory card and powered on. The phone to my surprise came alive. I switched it off again and reinserted the memory card before switching on again and lo and behold, my 6630 was up and kicking again! if anyone should have a similar problem, he of she should try what I did, i hope it works for others in similar situation.

Connection problem with my nokia 6230i

I try to connect my nokia with a nokia cable to my computer. I already did this on my mobile without any problem. When I try to do the same on my desktop I receive the following message :
there was a problem during the installation of your material nokia 6230i
this name is already in use as a service name or service name for display.

My guess is you need to reinstall your drivers.
This is a pain, but not too complicated.
- first, un-install everything Nokia-related from the PC via Contol Panel - be sure you include the Cable drivers!
- restart the computer (yes, really)
- install PC Suite as normal*
- restart the computer
* NB: it is VERY important that after you're prompted to plug in the phone during the PC Suite installation, you WAIT until ALL of the drivers are installed.
This will take AT LEAST 2 or 3 minutes, probably longer.
If you interrupt this process, you will get your connection problems again.Message Edited by patc on 14-Nov-200702:23 PM

Problems with my nokia 5800 XM

I have a big problem.... I can't install or uninstall anything on my 5800 . I have custom firmware 40.0.005. When I try to install or uninstall something it's says: Unable to start operation. Installer already in use.....Also A few days ago I had a problem with OVI store and I installed it but the shortcut is steel in the Application menu. ( if try to enter in ovi store it says that I have to update the application and if I try, I get an error). Is this a virus or a software problem? What should I do?

Backup you device using Ovi Suite or Nokia PC Suite.
Dial *#7370# in to your device. Confirm that you wish to reset the device.
Enter the passcode (by default 12345).
The device will now be reset and the Maps application will have reverted to the original version. You can now reload your backed up data using Ovi Suite or Nokia Suite.
the last option is hard reset which is the combination of Green + Red + Camera + Power buttons while the phone is switched off till you see the Nokia Logo

Problems with my Nokia 3220... HELP!!!

I have a nokia 3220 which I have had for about three months now. I did originally have the same phone for a year previous to this but there was a fault with the battery, i reported this and the manufacturer sent me a nasty letter saying the phone had water damage and that it was my fault and the phone was no longer under guarantee. One - the phone was guaranteed for a year last December so should still be in guarantee and Two - The phone had been nowhere near water. I took the phone into the shop and explained to them and within the next few days they had replaced the phone andsend me a letter saying that it had been a fault with the 3220.
The phone it has now been replaced with has a fault!! It keeps switching itself off and when the phone does finally stay on it has no signal or comes up with an error message saying ''Sim restricted'' I am not very pleased as I use this phone for business aswell as personal calls and texts!! I need a mobile and I am currently stuck without one!! I don't know if anyone out there can help me.. I need to replace this phone A.S.A.P.. But I am afraid that if i recieve the same make and model of phone again in replacement that the same error will occur again!!
I have looked on the help and advice on troubleshooting section and also on the O2 website as I originally thought it was a problem with the signal as there was no network bars showing on the phone, but this also gave me no answers.
PLEASE COULD YOU HELP !!!!!???

i have just had the same problems with mine but in a different matter i have no receptiona nd i am with optus i have owned the phone since new and it has stuffed me around numberous times it is not hte sim card and everyone around me has reception it is a stuff around when u get palmed off from Optus then to Nokia then Back to Optus then again back to Nokia over a 5hr ordeal.My phone is still not fixed and i am looking at getting a motorola razor V3i.
all i can say is that everyone be warned because my phone is rubbish and i remmber that the first 2 weeks i had my phone it would constantly drop out when im on the phone and had full reception.The Nokia 3220 is a peice of **bleep** do not buy this phone new and deffantly second hand they are a rubbish of a phone and have a stupid feel to the phone.....THIS PHONE IS A LEMON!!!
